Crispy fried chicken
I love Red Rooster and my local Red Rooster at Windsor is fantastic, the chicken is always freshly cooked, or you can request to wait for the next batch as I food sensitivity (IBS).
We have a weekender at the Central Coast, but every time I go to Lakehaven Red Rooster, the chicken tastes like it has been sitting for hours and I generally get very sick after eating it. Spoiling my whole weekend.
I am a timid person, and generally never speak out, but recently after ordering crispy chicken, I opened the box, "while still" at the counter and it looked terrible, old and soggy, so I asked the server, how long ago was the chicken was cooked as it looked nothing like the chicken l get from my local store, she was pleasant and said she would find out, but who I assume to be the manager returned and was rather aggressive in her reply and stated it was sitting within legal limit time frame and if I wanted it replaced it would be replaced from the same batch, so I shouldn't even bother, I felt embarrassed by her attitude and sat down and ate my meal, I couldn't finish it as it tasted like it was reheated, but I hadn't had anything to eat that morning and it now about 3 p.m. and yes I did get very sick afterwards.
It is a shame they do not have the same standards. I am a 62 year women and I have finally learnt my lesson, never buy from Lakehaven NSW

Chicken roll
I brought a chicken roll from Warwick red rooster at around 11.00am today 11th of July 2023. As I was eating the roll I almost choked on a sharp piece of bone. And had to cough it up before throwing up. This is not right as the people making it should be more careful and make sure there isn't bones inside the roll. That's very dangerous. Lucky it didn't get stuck.

We have bought Roast Chicken from the Red Rooster store at Springwood in Queensland and have been disappointed with the quality each of the last three times. Tonight was probably the last time we will be buying food from Red Rooster but certainly never again from the Springwood store. For a store that specialises in CHICKEN it is very disappointing that the roast chicken is dried out and has obviously been stewing in a warmer for quite a while.
Tonight our grandsons had burgers which were in their words “OK”. I also purchased roast chicken which was virtually inedible. The chicken had a stale taste and was dried onto the skin. There was very little moisture in the chicken at all. This overcooked stale chicken was paired with cooks which were undercooked.
As a chicken store I find this totally unsuitable and it seems that Red Rooster has decided to concentrate on the fried food market to the detriment of the roast chicken menu.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a refund and would like to be assured that if I frequent Red Rooster again - Better chicken will be delivered to me as a customer.

Logan central red rooster.
Ordered via drive through asked for a wing section with my classic quarter chicken and chips and 2 pieces of crunchy chicken 1 breast and 1 leg.
Female staff read out my order before paying, read out 2 pieces of chicken, breast and wing. Told her no it’s breast and leg. After driving off checked order and they gave me a breast and wing pieces. Drove back through and gave chicken back explain I wanted a leg not wing again, she walked away and was gone for a while came back with the wrong pieces again. I said I wanted a refund, manager came and had to explain the situation again to him, he was taking a while to process the refund. I looked at how much time had passed and requested a refund for the full order as the food would be cold. Manager Will refused and would only refund the chicken pieces that were wrong. The receipt stated order placed at 3:55 and it was 4:15pm.
I explained how much time had passed and the order was wrong 3 times and the food will be cold. The manager Will kept refusing a full refund, only refunded the pieces of chicken.

Staff negligence
On 16 June 2023, I was picking up Menulog order at Red Rooster Pakenham West. I could see the four digits pick up number finished and fully packed up, I stood on the counter and I was the only one to stand at the counter. No one want me to serve. I stood 15 minutes, after 5 times excuses me, one staff walked passed and handed me the order and he said sorry. This is not an isolated incidents. They did again and again. Disgusting staffs customers service.
Desired outcome: As customer and delivery driver, I want a proper customer service. Not waiting 15 minutes at their counter. No one inside the restaurant, I was the only one waiting to serve.
I would like a refund of purchase amount $37.95
I ordered online around 5pm and picked up food from the Idalia Townsville restaurant at around 6pm and I followed all the steps correctly but unfortunately when I got home with the food it was cold. Only thing that was warm was the whole chicken and that was warm not hot. Not happy had to warm everything up myself in microwave at home.

I ordered red rooster big burger pack at 17.41hrs and rang the store at 18.45hrs to see if they had recieved my order. The reply was we're getting smashed we're doing your order now. It's now 19.18hrs and it still hasn't arrived. Thursday 25th May 2023. Soon it will be 2 hrs since I ordered. Not happy one bit as I get up at 0430hrs every weekday to go to work.

Total rip off - disgusting behavour on red reward points owing
Went to Bass Hill Red Rooster, Jan did not scan my rewards card after spending $74.10 which would be $3.71 into my rewards amount. I drove to red rooster in Booval on Sunday 21 May at approximately 18:00 hours and ordered the rooster feed pack. When I got home and when I opened the pack the chicken smelt and tasted off and undercooked. There was more sauce than potato in the mash container and the corn was black. Very disappointed as this has never been this bad before. I was not provided with a receipt.

Managers attitude and staff behaviour
18th May 2023 at approx. 6.30pm. We attended the logan central store and did our usual order of 1 reds box combo and 2 large chips. This is our regular order either in store or online/ delivery. The order was co firmed correctly twice, when we recieved the order it was 2 large chips and only 1 reds burger not a combo. When we questioned this after the order being confirmed, the manager argued that this was correct and that the combo wasn't ordered. We disputed this as it had been confirmed twice. As a verbal altercation then occurred while staff was looking on and laughing at how their manager was speaking to us, it then escalated to where we said we wouldn't return our loyal business to this store the manager threatened to call the police yet he was verbal as much as we were through frustration. The behaviour of the manager and staff in this store upset us greatly and are very reluctant about ever returning. This is not the first time orders have been messed up, half orders, soggy food, under cooked chips or over salted chips but we have let it go by due to the young staff but obviously better training is needed as they are handling customers food and quality is expected when paying these prices.
Desired outcome: Apology and training of customer service with this store really needs to be attended too.
Poor customer service
So I went to get something to eat at red rooster across from mount pleasant near the cinemas at 7pmon Thursday the 18th of may and I was waiting at the speaker waiting wanting to order and not a word nothing not even can you please wait and there was one car in front so not like it was busy either and so after waiting for sometime I decided to go to the window and I'll order there, I was behind a car they got their meal and drove off and she looked at me and [censored] the window so I waited there she had a talk with who ever it was and seen me so I waited patiently and then she decided that she will come over she opened the window and smile on my face whilst she's just staring at me with a very sour look I said I was waiting at the speaker thought may have been broken or something so I decided to come to the window she's just staring and very rudely okay nothing said for a couple of seconds I said well can I please order instead of sure what would you like she huffed and sighed and rolled her eyes and with a tone said yeah whilst she looking at the screen I said you no what don't worry about it if your going to bed rude such poor customer service so I left.
There was no need and if they were doing their job properly would of noticed me there for sometime and acknowledgement would have been nice so I knew and then made me feel uncomfortable because I wanted to order at the window and I can understand a bit of was busy but not at all were yous. I will be letting many of my friends know to definitely not go with lady is on who has dark brown hair and slightly chubby with a sour look and if you insist to keep her at the window maybe some extra training how to talk to customers who pay her wage

Red Rooster Ballajura complaining because went there at 7:30 pm. They told me that they are closed and not taking orders right now and it was gonna be a 30 minute wait because they are understaffed. I feel like that is not my problem. I am a customer and it’s a takeaway place if they can’t keep open, then maybe they should close down because now I have to go all the way to Ellenbrook just to get dinner 30 min drive

Ripper Roll
Hello, I don't normally complain but I strongly feel that the new chicken recipe is nowhere near as good as the old one. The batter on the fillets used in ripper roll is soggy & flavourless more suited to fish than chicken. I thought it was just a one off when I 1st tried it but I've had it twice now from 2 different stores & it's been the same. Also the size of the ripper roll has dropped considerably which makes it not worth the price you charge.
Desired outcome: I'm not looking for compensation or a free meal. I'm only asking the you please go back to the way you were doing it because at this point, I don't think I'll be buying red rooster again.

The workers
I had left behind some money in the area where you play the gambling machines. I called out to the rooster very rudely the man said to me on the phone that's your problem not mine. I would like for him to pay me back the money someone else took. He made me so upset I will never take my business back there again. Now that I know red rooster in Olney doesn't care about it's customers.
Desired outcome: I'd like my $40.00 dollars back.
Product of service and lack of cleanliness
On Thursday the 23rd of March 2023, my partner and I sat and waited for our food at 7:48pm, while waiting we had witnessed every single person in the kitchen not wearing a single glove. The man behind the warmer was on the phone, playing with his hair and itching his face before serving up our food while wearing no gloves. This same man grabbed 2 pineapple fritters with his bear hands.
This is absolutely disgusting. We have just experienced a world wide pandemic, let's not make another one.
Desired outcome: I sincerely want this restaurant audited, CCTV to be reviewed and staff to be held accountable. The entire crew to be re trained in basic hygiene skills.
TV addvertisement
I find the latest T.V. commercial for Red Rooster is encouraging stealing. The add shows someone on a skate board. A customer has put his box of Reg Rooster Chicken on the seat next to him. The lad on the skateboard notices the box and takes off on his skateboard. He rolls along next to the bench and grabs the persons box of Red Rooster chicken and disappears with it. This is encouraging other young people in the same circumstances to commit the same offence = STEALING.
Desired outcome: remove the ad and make no more with the same or similar theme.
Product/ service
I visited Wyong drive-thru some time ago and I waited 20mins minimum for my order. Can't tell U what date but it was a few months ago and I believe it was approx.7pmon a Friday night. The manager advised me this was due to only trainees on that night and they forgot to put chicken on. Shouldn't she be extra vigilant with only trainees being on and double checking things especially at peak times? She also said the rush was unexpected? It was 7pm - dinner time!
Today I ordered 12 PC fried chicken with 4x leg, 4 X wing n 4 X ribs - they said this was fine. I got 1 leg, 3 wings 4 ribs then mixed. I was very disappointed. If this is against company policy, they need to say so when we order. If not then they need to get it right.
Desired outcome: Better service. Get what was ordered or adv reason why.
TV advertisement
I don't like your latest TV advert where it depicts to teenagers stealing red rooster chicken from a person, is this the message you really want to convey to ou youth who have lost the principles of thou shalt not steal?
It irritates me when I was raised never to steal. It's not funny and Im sure you could come up with better storyline the man giving the food to the boys.
Quality of food
Went to Red Rooster Warwick Perth yesterday 06/02/23 approximately 1pm, ordered 2x chicken and chips lunch deal, the portion of the box was disgusting 8 to 10 chips in box and a piece of average size chicken, box was half empty. Phoned several times yesterday and finally got through after 4pm when manager went home left message with staff and my contact details, phoned several times after 10.30am today 07/02/23 and no response to speak about complaint

I've already put a complaint in about red rooster Warwick Perth, no one has gotten back to me about the poor-quality service i received on the 06/2/23. I've made contact with the store manager and because i have made a complaint on line i have to wait for red rooster management to contact the store owner before i can get a resolution, the store owner at red rooster Warwick has my contact details. I explained my situation to the store manager again and he showed me what the portion for chicken and chips should look like and it looked nothing like what i received on the 06/2/23. i also explained to him that if he looks through his security cameras. when i received my order, he can see me discussing the poor quality of service i received to an elderly pair. The Warwick store manager tried to give me a Perth head office number to call in Balcatta, but that phone number has been out of action for a while cause its not the first time I've had to try and contact someone at head office for red rooster.
