I received a letter today from Republic Services stating that they will no longer provide us with trash services. This is quite upsetting when the week prior I had called to complain because our trash was not picked up in over a week. That may not sound like a long time but when you have 7 children, the trash piles up fast. I called everyday to find out if they were coming because not only were we piling up in garbage but I don't like keeping my trash out in my street for over a week hoping they show. It's quite unprofessional that they wish to cancel services on me when it was their fault they didn't show up.

They did not pick up my trash the blue trash and black while everybody got pick up. Today the reschedule day I heard trash pick up the lid open so I taught they pick up my trash when I look inside the trash still there. They did not look if they got the trash what's going on will these happen every trash day . I got it reschedule again Tomorrow hope they pick it up for the third time and double check that the trash is inside already in there truck not just open the lid

There is so much to say. I have not had so many problems with my garbage pickup until your company acquired our area (morgantown, wv and monongalia county). Since january 1, 2019, we have had three (3) weeks when we had no pickup and at least 4 days you did not show up. This past week (we have a friday pickup date), our service was moved to saturday because of the memorial day holiday. We received a call that "due to unforeseen issues we are not picking up today. We might be there monday but will resume regular service next week." when I called and asked for a discount, I am told that they can't. All the friday pickups know why we are delayed — the city of morgantown penalizes you for not picking up, a clause in their contract. Those that live outside of the city don't have any recourse. No that is not true — we can leave your organization.
I have drug my feet on changing as the employees do a great job when you provide them the equipment and time but you will never receive another check from me. I am switching services effective july 1.

I was behind one of your trucks in Delaware on I95 yesterday morning. This truck was spewing rubbish all over the highway. I took pictures of the truck hoping that somehow I could identify it. However it is not easily recognizable since I could not find a license plate. So I tried to take a few pictures so that you could identify it. Also, you should be required to send someone to pick it up.

I have a laundromat in plymouth ma I purchased in 2014 after a 32 year career with a major corporation. Upon purchasing I took on the previous owners trash company, republic services. I signed an agreement on 5/3/14 without any explanation of a 3 year automatic renewal clause. My original cost was $52/month...4+ years later my cost grew to $110/month... A 104% increase over 4+years. I've had one price increase in 4+ years! I called your customer service on numerous occasions during this period without ever receiving a return call. That's when I understood an owner running a small business is not important to republic services. I left many calls seeking help (simply looking at all expenses)….. I never received a return call until I told your customer service to please come an pick up your 4 yard container and that I had made other arrangements... And after I read the clause in your t&c's (terms and conditions) and it clearly states, I would be "noticed/informed" of any increases via some vehicle prior to incurring additional expense. To date, during the 4+ years, I never received a call, a letter, nor ever heard from or knew a sales person existed, a message or any means of informing me of additional costs.
Hopefully republic services will respond and make appropriate changes to their notification policy, have a responsibility to small business accounts and open lines of communication. I fully realize an approximate $655+ doesn't mean much to a company like republic services, however it means much to a struggling small business.

incompetency
I live in hillsborough greens hoa community. Our contract is for 1 free bulk item pick up per month. When requesting bulk item pickups, there has often been a charge, that members of the hoa must call in, to have removed. I called 12/26/18 to have such charge removed from a november 2018 pickup. The customer service representative was confused and told me there was no such clause in my hoa agreement. I asked to speak with a supervisor. At that time, I spoke with delilah.
Delilah told me that there was no such binder in my hoa contract and she would waive the bulk item fee, but she was noting my account that I would get no additional free bulk items. I asked when did this change happen. She said she didn't know the date it took effect, but it was effective immediately.
I also asked about the increase in my monthly billing (effective 3/30/19) she said it was the responsibility of my hoa to notify us of republic service fee increases. I told delilah this doesn't even make sense that my hoa would know when a vendor increased the prices, but she stated, "well that is how it is."
Per hillsborough green hoa liason - once a month free large pickup is part of the contract. There have been no changes. Rate increases of trash services are not the responsibility of the association to notify owners. All members receive invoices, prices changes are reflected there.
Please issue not only training regarding hoa practices and procedures to your employees handling our accounts, but also better customer service. Never should an employee, especially one stating that they are a "supervisor" speak in such condescending manner to customers.
over charged for recycling for years without showing any courtesy
I was way overcharged for recycling since 2015. Briefly, I was charged ~$180 per quarter since 2015 (did not know how long this practice was continuing) where as it should have been ~$45 / quarter as informed by one of the representatives of Republic Services.in spite of repeated calls, letters, etc. there was no action from your end other than giving me credit for just 2-3 quarters, which should have been around $130 whereas I had paid closed to $1700 since 2015 through January 2018.
Very bad company that I ended my service since Jan 2019. I am informing about this behavior to all of my friends.
container
This morning a new container was dropped in my driveway that I did not request. The thing is huge. I put out a 13 gallon bag two times per week for pickup. This container would hold 25 of these bags. I have no place to store this thing and the community has restrictions against leaving these things outside in view. Please pick this ugly thing up and I will find someone else to take my trash.
container pick up fee on cancellation
Generally had a good experience with their service but they keep increasing their fees. Went from $80 to over $140 in a 2-3 years period. We are on Social Security and can't continue to pay these kinds of fees. I found out there are other neighbors on my same route paying 1/2 of what I'm paying. They refiused to reduce my bill. After I cancelled their service I received a bill two weeks later for $47.25 for "container pick up fees" that I never agreed to or signed an agreement to pay at cancellation. The fee was a total surprise. I called to have the fee adjusted off and was told they cold not and the was due. When I refused to pay they told me I would be sent to collections. Be aware. If you love high prices and being bullied into paying obscure cancellation fees then go within this company otherwise find another trash service.
wrongful termination of employment
On November 15 a manager Brad asked me about a jacket I was wearing. He wanted me to know where I got the jacket. Advised him that a co worker blessed me remind you that it's 40 degrees or lower that morning. Brad told me to take off the jacket. Gelbert Blair walked up to me and told me I was fired. No explanation. As I'm walking off to go to HR I heard Gelbert calling me a [censored]. I need to be contacted about this injustice. If I don't hear anything soon will go to the next step. Removal of service / container pick up
I just canceled my service because I am moving out of state. I find that it is utterly ridiculous that I have to pay $50/can to get the trash and recycling containers removed. I have had your service for 5 years and always paid on time. I have dealt with inconsistent and sometimes no service for weeks at a time. I receive automated calls 1-2 times per week ALWAYS telling me something different about my pick up date. It is disappointing. I have not complained. I asked if I could bring the containers to a facility and was told no. I am disgusted and will now discourage everyone I can from using your company. Period.
Having the same problem. This was NOT disclosed to me before I started Service. I’ve turned my street against them. We now use Frontier. Very good company and cheaper. BYE BYE REPUBLIC!
Overcharge for garbage removal
Since 2015 when I changed my account to auto billing they have been charging me more $ every quarter. I checked my neighbors bill which was $102 a quarter with two pick ups and my charge was $268 for 1 pick up a week. I've called several times to speak to a manager and they give you the same story someone will call you back... they never do. When you do talk to someone and ask them why is my neighbor paying less they tell me it depends on when they signed up for the service. I asked for them to charge me the same amount and they refuse. I have been with this company for over 20 years - give me a break! Don't use the company they are ripping people off left and right!
I have been getting over charged all year by this company, I called in and was told that someone would be contacting me about a refund. No one has called about the refund and I'm still getting notices about a past due balance. The customer service department seems to only be good with transferring the calls and not actually helping. I will definitely be changing to Dales which is $20 cheaper and more personal. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY and want my $400 refund! RUN FOR THE HILLS

Called to ask for a supervisor - was put on hold for about 40 mins..
Account was closed due to system error.. was advised no service was available at my address.. even though for two weeks was told the account was open and service would be restored.. Now they refuse to speak with me and management will not speak to me.
Not a good way to run a business.. decided to go with competitor .. Will never use them again! emailed also.. just was advised they left message that no service in this area. no call was made.. just given a run around.. Do not support this company..
trash pickup
For 3 days we have been trying to get our trash bill fixed. We received a bill of 181 dollars on Saturday. Monday we started calling customer service. They said someone from billing would call is back before the close of business, never happened. Tuesday we called again and had to go over how our bill was messed up..again. We were told that someone would call us back, once again, never happened. I called again today and was told someone would call me back. I'm calling the city and better business bureau tomorrow.

Two weeks ago the wheel of my trash can was broken off during trash pickup. I called and was told to leave the trash can out on the next scheduled trash day, and after trash pickup and other truck would come later that evening to take the broken trash can away and replace it with a new one. Trash pickup day came and the broken trash can wasn't replaced with a new one. Called Republic Services a second time, and was told they would link the work order up, and someone would call me back to let me know when a new trash can will be received. A couple days later, received a call stating to leave the trash can out after trash is collected on the next scheduled pickup day, and then the day after the broken one would be picked up and a new one provided. Also, when they emptied the trash, they threw the broken wheel laying next to the trash can into my yard and left it laying there. Guess what, broken trash can is still sitting out front and a new trash can still hasn't been delivered. Now I have to call a third time since it once again wasn't taken care of, and do not have any faith it will be resolved after a third request. This is one of the worst trash services I've ever experienced. Going to see if it's possible to find a new trash service. Very disappointing.
billing complaint
Republic Services offered a three year contract renewal which would essentially guarantee a similar rate to my present rate of $67.00 per quarter (Jun. '18 - Aug. '18 ) plus applicable fees. I did not accept this proposal; and, my bill for the following quarter ( Sept. '18 - Nov. '18 ) was charged at a rate of $235.50 per quarter, even though my neighbor's bill who did sign the contract remained the same. I canceled my service with Republic; but, I am now being billed $36.91 for them to pick up their trash containers. I never agreed to a container pick up charge; and, I refuse to pay this invoice. This company has horrendous customer service, have been trying since May 30, 2018 to have the dumpster removed from my property. I have spent wasted hours trying to speak to someone, the usual wait time 30-45 minutes on hold. I have sent letters to the CEO of the company in Phoenix, AZ, with no response. I was promised the dumpster would be removed on June 19, then June 29, July 6, again on July 26, and August 7. As of today, August 10, 2018, it is still on my property. They keep removing trash from the dumpster, I have refused to pay for services not rendered by me. I would not recommend this company EVER!
I want my refund, didn't get service I want my money
Worst company! Do not hire this company! I had them for years they stopped picking up my trash right after I made my payment of $65.79 in march for the next cycle the girl on the phone when I finally got ahold of someone said if I didnt like it to go with someone else so I did she said I would get my refund within 4-6 weeks still have not received my refund! Called today to check on it because several of my neighbors said they are still waiting on their refund after many months of waiting so I thought I would call to check well the guy on the phone told me he would refund me $30 lol really really I never got any pick ups why not the full amount? Then he tried to explain why I was missed for the whole month of april lol ridiculous! I would be ashamed to be associated with this lying company! He said he would have someone call me back today but we all know that aint gonna happen
