We needed a new mattress. Or we thought we did. Ours was a couple decades old, and now we had constant need to cradle and soothe 80-year-old bodies. This would be our last mattress purchase –- ever. We reconciled the fact, that one or both of us, may die on the new mattress. We assembled all of our cautious, life-long, major purchase criteria, and went shopping. New foam technology appealed to us, as did American manufacture; and we didn’t want to stray too far from what we considered familiar and trustworthy sources. And yes, price too, figured in our equation.

QVC and Restonic was selected. In April 2021 we bought Product Number H227073. It was not a good decision! Here we are, 2-1/2 years later, with full realization that any exceptional characterization of our ‘new’ mattress is that the darn thing is no better, in any way, than our old one. It may actually be worse, as ours was not disfigured. Our new reconciliation is, that perhaps it is a better thing to die on a sub-par mattress than a standout one. We can live, and die, with this knowledge, but the $800.00 outlay is not an insignificant displeasure.
