Safelite AutoGlass Windshield install

My wife had Safelite install her new windshield after they cracked the previous one that they tried to fix..anyway while installing the windshield they broke the wiper arm inside the car. After they setup an appointment they said she did not have one but she had an email saying different.

Don't allow them to replace your windshield especially the location in Murfeesboro TN..

Desired outcome: to get our car fixed since they have already received our money. $1500

Safelite AutoGlass Customer service

On the week of May 8th I scheduled a appointment with Safelite in Walker La for my 2022 Nissan Frontier. I showed up for my appointment Sat May 20th. I was asked do I want generic or factory molding, I said factory. Was not in stock and they said they would order and reschedule for May 27th. Get their this morning and they did not have it in stock. No advance phone call throughout this process to be proactive or the thought to at least call me to tell me that part was not available. When appointment was originally made the question of generic or factory should have been presented. The fault here falls on the manager Rico Barrera for not being proactive. To make matters even worse when they told me this morning upon arrival of my appointment that part was not in I asked to speak to manager, they said he was off. One of the Techs was nice enough to call the manager on his cell. The tech handed me his phone and I basically said all of the above, when I said it was poor management he hung up on me. Manager never said one thing to me on phone and dont let the manger fool you by saying I was out of line, no cursing but merely the above words. I do not know the culture of Safelites management style but in my opinion you do not hang up and ignore customers. The manager needs training if you plan to utilize his uncouth management skills. I am still in disbeleif that a nationwide company has this type of customer service and supports the poor management, remember Mr Barrera represents your company in a bad way. Last year I had a crack in the windshield on my 2019 Toyota C-HR. I took my car in July of 2022 to Safelite and had the windshield replaced. It was painless, waited about 1 1/2 hours and it was done by 3 people at the same time. I was told that there was a lifetime warranty included. I paid my deductible from my insurance, as well as the additional cost. However, less than a year later, I was driving to work and noticed that the crack on my windshield had appeared on the driver's side all the way down. There was nobody was in front of me while driving. No rocks on the parkway. The road was clear. At least this time around, there wasn’t a rock damaging the windshield.

So I made an appointment with Safelite to replace it. They sent me an email with a confirmation on a date and time and approval that there will be NO COST for it. I was confident that the warranty would cover it and I was WRONG! When I went back to Safelite located on 950NIL-83 Wood Dale, IL location, the lady at the front desk asked me regarding the reasoning behind the damage. I did not know what the reason behind my damaged windshield was and they needed to replace it. They asked me to leave my car key with them and sent me to the waiting room. Inspections were done without my presence, and I was told that the reason was a rock hitting it. The guy showed me that it was a rock by placing his nails into the crack and scratching it. I was told it has to go through my insurance and I have to pay. They denied the warranty.

I then went to a different auto glass repair company and what I found out was shocking. Safelite did not replace the window properly. It was uneven and it had a big gap that was not clipped properly the way it is supposed to be. I have a video demonstrating my proof of it from top to bottom. It is unfortunate that Safelite did not save my time, my money, and only created false information to prevent their work from being completed the proper way. I’m requesting for my refund to be processed directly back to me for this unprofessional workmanship being done to my vehicle in the amount of $ 440.00 . Please let me know how soon you’d be able to process the amount back to me and contact me with any questions.

Safelite AutoGlass Glass installation

Had safelite come replace windshield they damaged a pillars on passenger side exterior chipped paint and the side trim came off in the car wash after a month. The regional manager keeps saying they will call but never does. They are giving the run around after admitting to the damage. Got a quote sent it and no response. My insurance company wich recommended safelite won't cover the damages and keeps just calling safelite. I am suing them if no response by end of next week. Both insurance and safelite . Scam going on here with both.

Hood of my car has a massive dent and metal scrapes that were NOT THERE before technician replaced my windshield and drove my car. This car is only a year old and had no issues now my hood is scratched, and dented.

Safelite AutoGlass Bad work

On March 30, 2023, my windshield was serviced for replacement which they did but they broke the rain sensor and did not mention the issue upon delivery. I took the car and found out later while testing the wipers that the rain sensor did not activate on water or has a problem. I did make a warranty claim and they call me to resolve the issue, which I'm ending going to the shop and told me that they need to order the parts which is the plastic cover of the rain sensor which was broken during installation. Eventually, after 7-10 day later, they call me again to tell me that parts arrived and went to shop to install the new part (rain sensor cover) but could not make the repair because they had the wrong part and not the plastic cover. On May 1, 2023 at 8:00 I had an appointment to resolve this issue but again, they could not repair the issue because they do not have the complete parts and they need to order the internal piece too. This is my third visit into the shop (because the issue need to be repair inside the shop) without any luck. I have lost my time and wages during those 3 visits. An installer told today that this time, they will come to my place to do the repair. I am requesting a compensation due to lost of wages and time. Safelite AutoGlass Schedule disruption and loss of income

I scheduled an appointment for Service on April 29th, 2023 between 8AM and 12AM and the confirmation work order number was [protected]. I was told during the scheduling this would depend on availability and location but someone from the office would be in contact with me to confirm the appointment the day before it was schedule. I was contacted the morning of April 28th to confirm the appointment time and schedule which I did over the phone. Once I confirmed my Schedule with Safelite Technician at 9AM on the 28th, I canceled all my appointments for Saturday morning and moved my schedule around. I was then contacted at 5PM by the local store and they indicated I would need an in-store appointment and they would need to reschedule my appointment because my truck cannot be completed by a mobile appointment. I am now scheduled for May 11th at 8AM for an instore appointment. This adjustment and poor communication on your end impacted me financially and I have no way to recoup this loss income.

Desired outcome: This change in schedule has cost me over $400. in lost income and I would like to get an adjustment to my out-of-pocket cost for this repair. You can contact me at [protected] (David Burnett)

Safelite AutoGlass Online billing website

We are a glass shop servicing safelites customers & i have

not been able to acess any websites that have the word safelite in them. I get a 403 error. We have thousands of dollars worth of invoices which need to be billed so we can get paid. I have been in contact with website support & shop care for 2 weeks & i have followed every direction & instruction i have received & like i said i am unable to bill any jobs for the last 2 weeks or better. Safelite only responds to help emails every 2 to 3 days & i need help now. All i am asking is that someone call us or 1 person stays with it long enough that io can get set up again so i can bill. Its ridiculous that we have so much money out & we do alot of work for safelite & noone seems to care.

Desired outcome: I WANT BACK ON THE BILLING WEBSITE SO WE CAN GET PAID

Safelite AutoGlass no return to customer

I have filed a claim from Safelite website, all good and in details to request a change of a windshield cracked by a flying stone on the road. But when I inserted VIN # in the website, the car came wrong, instead of Kia K5 came a Kia sportage. I called them and asked to change. That was done and was told that they would return to reeschedule the service due to part availability. Called again after 4 weeks and they had no order! They asked me to call insurance company to correct the vehicle information and file a claim...but...why that info now after 1 month with no return. lack of parts, need to call carrier, etc...all ok, got it, but ignore customer, provide not clear and adequate guidance to make things happen is basic. If I had Safelite shares I would definitely get rid of it, no future for a company who doesn’t RESPECT customers. Looks all amateurs in business!

Safelite AutoGlass Chip repair

I had a tiny chip repaired at a safelite store in Greeley co on my 6 day old brand new truck and they parked my truck outside with the windows down parked one tire on a curb and cracked my windshield then told me it would be 500$ to replace it I did not argue with them about it because I was already mad seeing my truck outside with the windows down parked on a curb left unattended. It’s not right that I’d have to pay for this I was told my chip was easily fixed and it would be covered by insurance not I have a cracked windshield and my truck is full of sawdust

Safelite AutoGlass Inappropriate customer service representative behavior found by our 12yo child

Although we have now taken away our child's smart devices for using inappropriate sites, Our disgusts still remain. We find this behavior for anyone in a customer service position completely inappropriate. The safelite representative that we are referring to is Danielle Liskowitz from the Oconomowoc/waukesha WISCONSIN area safelite. We are including one of the links which was found, apparently there are many. Danielle would be the woman in the red top. Apparently she is on drugs, extasy, to be exact. This is said in some of the titles and you can see it on her face.

Safelite AutoGlass Windshield repair

I booked an appointment to have my windshield repaired. from the company's website: Your windshield can be repaired if: The chip or crack is 6 inches or smaller, You have three chips or less, The damage is not in front of a camera or sensor. I had one crack less than six inches. I was given a quote (via email) of $75.

I carved time out of my workday, drove to the Safelite location and was told that they only repair cracks like that up north. I needed to have my windshield replaced and that the quote I had from Safelite in my email was not valid.

Total fail by Safelite.

Very disatisfied... not a customer.

Desired outcome: fix your process so that you deliver the service your website states and train your personnel.

Safelite AutoGlass Windshield replacement

The Safelight Auto Glass company in Modesto CA have not been able to replace our windshield. It has been almost a year now. We have a Subaru Forrester. During the multiple attempts of replacement they have damaged the window trim, as well as the rearview mirror mount. All without replacing the actual windshield. Our eyesight system will now spontaneously shut off within a few minutes of driving. Do not go to Safelight for a Subaru windshield replacement. Trust me, it is beyond their capability.

On 2-10-23, I went to have my windshield replace through my insurance company. After awhile, the repairman told me to come to the back. He showed me a chipped area with a small dent. He said he wanted to show me before he started because that's the area he "works at." I told him it wasn't there before and that I've been hand cleaning my windshield to avoid...

Safelite AutoGlass Front windshield

made an appt. to get my windshield replaced. When i arrived they informed me they ordered the wrong glass and i would have to reschedule- lost day of work but i figured after they inspected the window they'd get it right the next time. Make another appointment, take day off from work and got to the Mt Kisco safelite to get the windshield replaced. Guess what, wrong glass again. Total incompetence! But the worst part was that the installer and the women at the front desk must of been frustrated because he began dropping f bombs in the waiting room which is so unprofessional and rude. So now im out 2 days of work and still have no windshield. I honestly cannot believe how unprofessional and incompetent this company is. This is the MT Kisco Safelite in NY.

Safelite AutoGlass Appointment not kept

My daughter had an Appointment at 11:00 today. We dropped the car off at 7:30 this morning. My daughter called to make sure it would be done and of course it will be. Besides the inconvenience, when I walked in I asked for the Manager and Anthony said he was. The second lie! When he asked for my name I asked why and he said it was for his manager. (How lame is this guy) I work for a Top 10 Company in US and we have always used Safelite. I will now do everything in my power to give you the name Safelie! This will be going on Multimedia and a copy to my CEO and our Fleet Manager. It is very disappointing to know that you feel that you can promise and not deliver. You have wasted our time (Money). The best thing is that you are not the only show in town.

Safelite AutoGlass Replacement of glass, front windshield

My wife and I own a 2005 Honda Accord, we had the front windshield replaced in Dunedin Florida, our last name Is sporleder , car Vin number 1HGCM56465A181858.

It has been leaking, and possibly by design, Safelite gives you, ( The customer ) , little to no way to contact unless scheduling a new appointment.

Safelites technician said " I didn't replace the new stripping above the windshield because we don't have it, but it will be ok" , I personally dropped it off in Dunedin , Florida, or Palm Harbor depending on your software.

This probably has been one of the worst decisions I have made regarding my families car repairs.

If I do not get contacted either via email, [protected]@gmail.com, and or phone [protected] my next move will involve the BBB.

Best regards, safelite should have higher standards for the people they hire.

Safelite AutoGlass Two cancelled appointments

Hello! I had an appointment scheduled January 14,2023 at The Humble location for 8am, upon arrival, I was told my glass replacement was damaged and needed to reschedule my appointment , replacement glass would be ordered. My next appointment was scheduled January 21, 2023at 7 am, received a confirmation call, asked if the glass could be inspected before appointment in am, was put on hold, then told the glass was not ordered. Will have to order and make a 3rd appointment. I requested to speak to the manager, was told he was in a meeting. The receptionist was not professional. I was scheduled to another location. Was told the manager would call the warehouse and return my call. I have not gotten a return call from the manager from the initial visit. I had to drive 50 miles round trip for poor service. My time is valuable and lack of professionalism needs to be corrected.

Desired outcome: I would like a apology and explanation on why I did not receive a call from the manager of that location.

Safelite AutoGlass Windshield replacement / warranty

I replaced my windshield on my 2010 Toyota Yaris one year ago exactly. Recently, a crack appeared at the center of my windshield and it has spidered to the span the entire length horizontally. I made a warranty appointment and the Safelite representative told me this was not under warranty because the crack was caused my outside damage. Clearly the glass was of low grade quality for it to have cracked this quickly. I am extremely upset and willing to take this much further.

Safelite AutoGlass Replacing the windshield on my ford transit 350

My husband scheduled a mobile service to replace a Windshield and the mobile appt was scheduled for 01/03/23 between 0800 and 1700. The technician assigned (Julio) came out to replace it. The windshield cracked inside his van. Julio said his manager will call to reschedule. This is very inconvenience because my vehicle is a work vehicle. Julio's manager scheduled for me to bring the vehicle to the shop in Webster, TX on 01/04/23 at 3 PM. The manager said they were full on 01/03/23 to why he couldn't schedule someone else to come out to my location and too full for me to come to the shop on 01/03/23. So, he scheduled my appt. for 01/04/23 at 3 PM. I get there by 2:30 PM on 01/04/23. After almost an hour of waiting, the employees there replaced my keys and on top of that, there was no new windshield there for my vehicle. So guess what? A blank trip and my windshield still not replaced. Why would the manager schedule me to come to the shop when there's no windshield for my vehicle? Horrible customer service. The manager scheduled me to come on Friday, 01/06/23 at 2 PM. You guys need to do something about this. My windshield should have been replaced on Tuesday, 01/03/23.

Safelite AutoGlass Truck windshield replacement

Scheduled an appointment online for my 1997 Ford truck. Signed up for the mobile service. They accepted my payment and set appointment for install. On the date of the appointment, technician calls and tells me they won’t do a remote service as it might take too long. Why set a mobile appointment if have to bring to a shop. I called to complain and the answer I got was yes, it MIGHT take longer and MIGHT need two people do to age of vehicle. What a load of BS! They use an arm device to move and set windshield so never have two people when I have used in the past. I will NEVER recommend them in the future!

Desired outcome: They are issuing a fecund but they should come do the service at my location! They should fix their website so that if this is a shop only vehicle it immediately says that and stop trying to scam the public!
