Chula vista safelite shop
I do not know who to speak to anymore regarding Back window to our F150 20-16 ford truck. Our insurance was contacted regarding ordering a ford manufactured back sliding window for the truck because the after market window is not recommended by shop. We were called when approval was in a few days later and given an appointment to come in to shop for replacement. When we tried to leave truck at Chula Vista shop my husband was told by Robert the manager that aftermarket window is not recommended, and he knew nothing about Ford manufactured window, nor did he try to figure out why we were asked to drop off the truck by 9 am for replacement. After calling the call center we were informed that the Ford window is at the warehouse, and it was not properly processed on work order to have it at shop. After much drilling and asking questions regarding what is going on with the back window. No one was able to give us clear information to what was happening. The [protected] call center told me the Ford window was approved by insurance and at the warehouse. She made us another appt for 12/12/22. I called my farmers insurance claims department, and I was directed to the 800 number which I was informed the Ford back window is in transit and not at the warehouse yet and not need to have an appointment because it's not at the warehouse. I'm really confused to how your company functions and its incompetency to follow through with an insurance claim and its inability to complete necessary steps to complete a job. I don't understand why we are given the run around and right foot doesn't know what the left foot is doing. We are very disappointed and upset that your business, which was recommended by Farmers insurance, can't do their job.
I would appreciate an explanation to the confusion and what can you do to make your company cohesive and competent. I will speak to farmers insurance that recommending you company is not recommended to say the least.

Left my only transportation unusable!
I drive a 1993 Toyota truck. Safelite was supposed to replace the windshield. It’s my ONLY transportation! They needed to examine it at the shop for proper fit and trim pieces, so I drove it to them on Friday afternoon for inspection. They schedule my replacement for the following Monday at my house, because it’s my only transportation and I told them this on Friday during inspection. They show up Monday to replace it, bust my old one out, find surface rust and said they would NOT replace until the rust got fixed. Covered it with plastic and left me stranded, with no way to get anywhere! Why in the hell did they not advice me of this during inspection? They said absolutely NOTHING about this or I would have kept the functional windshield with a chip in it and still would have had transportation! This is wanton destruction of private property and leaving an elderly couple with no transportation!
DO NOT CALL SAFELITE!
Desired outcome: Fix my truck to the condition it was in before you destroyed it! And clean the damn glass up out of the driveway that wasn’t there before you vandalized me and my truck!
Back glass on 2018 chevy silverado
Nov. 18, 2022 Invoice #[protected] Back Glass was not installed properly. Tech got urethane on interior side trim and headliner. Tech chipped paint on exterior of truck, touched up with paint that did not match. Tech did not vacuum all glass from interior

The only time the technician came to my door was to get paid and ask me to give him a 9 or 10 on the survery that I would recieve. I had just washed my car day yesterday 11/28 there was NO damage
Desired outcome: I want my moulding pieces replaced. As for the mud and dirt I will clean the tech's mess.

I have an appointment at 2 PM today, 11/26/22 to change the broken front windshield. Assistant manager, Bryan, called me yesterday to confirm the appointment. I explained to Bryan that about 2 years ago on the same circumstance safelite did not put the right windshield and dealership wasn’t able to calibrate. He made sure they will put the right one. Today assistant manager Luis Guzman could not change my windshield because Bryan did not prepare the appropriate documentation.
Why Bryan, assistant manager does NOT have enough knowledge for his job, brings me to safelite 26 miles away from my home and job could not be done?

Windshield replacement
On 10/2/2022 I had my windshield replaced by Safelite. In the process the windshield broke and damaged my hood. They finally brought another one and put it in, the the Tech lost one of the wiper arm retaining nuts so I ended up with a damaged hood and one wiper. The tech said that someone would contact me to take care of the problem. I got one phone call 2 days later and the person said they would get back to me the next day but I have not heard from them since then. I sent several e-mails but heard noting. windshield replacement
I had my windshield replaced on October 20, 2022. Windshield is right, the Tech Jacob did screw up. When he put my wipers back on, he put them on the wrong way. Instead of wiping my windshield, they were trying to wipe the hood of my car. Maybe that is something that he needs to check to make sure he got the job done good AND right! Am so glad that I have someone who knows a lot more about cars and wipers around!

You guys don't tell anyone about wanting extra money on top of paying 900 bucks your worker wants to tell me and my husband to shut up as were trying to talk to him he was wicked rude you guys wait until last minute to pay extra money I got the money I told him that but takes off then we get upset and we are wrong you guys have to worst service i've ever seen in my life i've worked in customer service thats not it plus scams for more money is wrong through all of safelite you guys don't tell anyone until persons there what if someone didn't have the money like you guys def are the worst and obviously hide complaining about you guess which is wrong also anything for money when it comes to safelite ill make sure everyone knows not to use this service rip off and better hope my money was refunded or you will have a lawsuit by the way I got cameras how your guy treated us icqn post for the world to see how rude you guys are and lazy as well obviously don't want to work or wouldn't be rude to us and leave

Telephone Customer Service Contact Inaccessability
I have tried for 2 hours to contact a human being to simply find out if I could come by and get a windshield fixed - NOTHING BUT ROBOTS.
I don't want to drive 25 miles to find out - "we don't have your windshield, you will have to come back" - a telephone response would solve the problem.
I don't want to spend $50 for a "on site repair" if I can save the money by visiting a facility.

Damage to vehicle abs
On Oct 16, 2022, I visited Safelite located on 3070 business park dr in Raleigh, NC to get my windshield replace because my vehicle had to be calibrated in order for the windshield to be replaced. About an hour after my visit, I was called to come get my car because they were unable to do it. Once I got to the office to pick up my car, I was told that they hooked up my car to their calibration machine that caused pretty much all my light on my dashboard to light up. It was explained to me by the technician that the software they use made by Kosher caused this to happen on most Toyota vehicles. That all I had to do is take it the dealership to get them to turn off all the alerts. I contacted the manager the next day after making an appointment with the dealership. She confirmed what the technician said and assured me that Safelite would pay for the repair as this was a common occurrence. I took my car to the dealership on Oct 18, 2022 to diagnose my system. The dealership told me that the cause of the ABS light along with all the other lights coming on was because my brake actuator needed to be replaced. I contacted the manager at the local Safelite that I had been talking to, to discuss outcome of my visit. She instructed me to email her the work estimate and she would send it to corporate for approval, which I did. It is Oct 26, 2022 and now the manager will not answer my calls and/or text. When I brought my car into Safelite it was fine, now I'm stuck with a repair invoice of $1847.00.
Desired outcome: I would like someone from Safelite that has the authority to pay for my repairs that was caused by the company to contact me. You can contact office at listed above for my contact info, the manager there is familiar with this complaint.
Safelite paid for vehicle to be fixed.
On March 6th at 8:45 in the morning arrangements have been made for Auto Glass to be replacing the windshield on our vehicle at our home about 20 minutes and put a job wanted a text for hammering with a period to be a rubber hammer on the passenger side pretty fiercely I'm 72 and disabled and I did not have my Walker at the time within 30 minutes later of that incident the job was done and they left about 4:00 in the afternoon my wife and I were going to the store got in the car and realized that the right front fender where it meets the glass was pulled away the hood was heavily damaged and dented it will not close and this was created by the windshield pack who is hammering with something that appeared to be like a big black rubber hammer went to Safelite store at 5:05 that same afternoon and the lady in charge came out and said nope that's been there for a while we do not own a rubber hammer and I haven't swung a hammer in 15 years so what do we do get in touch with a lawyer my advice is never deal with Safelite
Auto windshield pre-paid price refused
ON October/24/2022 I appeared for my 2pm appointment at 5033 Pentecost Drive, Modesto, CA. They told me I would have to pay some $380+ for my windshield replacement. I told them I had made my appointment and payment on 10/16/2022. I showed them my billing and payment of $305on cell phone screen. They told me the $70 discount used was not now available. Upon discussion they said they would have to get the discount approved and they could not do it there. They would have to get some DT? approval that they would e-mail. I waited for 20 minutes or so and asked again and I asked when the approval would come in ... he didn't know ... he could be a few minutes or longer. I asked that then perhaps he should call me when they get the info approved and set up another appointment ... he agreed. I got home and got a message from PayPal that they had refunded my payment. Later I got a message from Safelite Modesto that they had increased the price by $75.51 and apparently rejected my online ordered price. This is a bait and switch. This is an unfair practice and gouging of the customer.
Desired outcome: Replace my windshield at the original price of $305.35 and to make up for my unnecessary trip to this shop ... that they come to my home and replace this glass.
Windshield replacement
Safelite installed new aftermarket windshield in late March 2022 - windshield cracked by passenger side frame arm (beginning September 4.5months), Safelite rep came out on October 1st (rep. Conner/Bayonne Safelite) to verify windshield was covered under warranty. He took pictures from inside & outside of truck, spoke w/ his office on the phone, sent pics to office while he was here & said it would be covered. After calling, received approval October 19,2022 - Safelite Bayonne, NJ came out on October 20th (Marquis) @ 4:25 & is now denying warranty claim - he said he could not see damage from outside - he didn't look from the inside my vehicle - just denied it was a stress crack without seeing it or looking from inside to see it
There is no mark on the outside of my windshield, no ruff spot from ANY impact - you can see it from inside of windshield only - nothing hit my windshield - I walked out to find windshield cracked on passenger side 1/2 way down the window at windshield frame Arm - stress crack from metal frame arm- it has been cracking more since they looked at on 10/1/2022 & I picked up my windshield wiper & it cracked more

No service left waiting with no answers.
Safelite gave me bad service, I had an appointment for them to come to me to install a windshield I sat and waited for the time window they were supposed to come. I called customer service and still no satisfaction all she could tell me is the tech is not answering his phone. The next morning, I called back the first agent told me they will have someone get in contact with me after waiting two hours no one reach out to me, so I had to call back again for them to tell me they have to schedule me for next week. Now I have to cut my service calls in order to satisfy them when they will be making money, but I will have to cut mines short because of the bad service.
Installation of rear window
On 09/08/2022 I had the rear window replaced on my 2021 F250. Several days later I noticed the passenger side roof trim was flapping in the wind. I took the vehicle back to the installation store in San Antonio, TX. The technician argued with me that was not his fault. After several minutes they accepted responsibility.
A week later I received a text message informing me of an installation appointment. Being pro-active I contacted to ensure the trim piece was on hand. I was informed that the trim piece had not been received and that the estimated delivery date was in a couple of days. On 10/06/2022 I contacted the installation store and spoke with the manager (Sonia) and she informed me that she had not received the trim piece and she would call me back. She did not call me back. I called her back and she informed me that the part was ordered from North Park Lincoln. I contacted NP Lincoln and the informed me that they no order on file. They (NP) informed the part was in stock. I called the Loop 410 store again and spoke with the manager again and she no answer. I informed her that issue need to be resolved.
Desired outcome: Request the required part needed be procured very soon and my vehicle be repaired in a timely manner.
Paint on my car
On January 31, 2022, not only did the repair tech call to push our appointment back to later in the day, he used Duct tape to hold the windshield in place. When I took it off, it peaked the paint off the roof of my car. The Shenandoah, TX. Store manager, Hugo Chavez, was rude and wasted my time and the time of the body shop, by sending me to get an estimate. You can’t contact the corporate office to complain and their web site just sends you in circles. They won’t fix it. I will never use or recommend them again.

Broken windshield
Earlier this month, I contacted the mobile Safelite number in Laredo, TX by filing a claim through Progressive Insurance. I had a small chip in the middle of the passenger side of the windshield. My car was parked on campus where I work, and the repair person had contacted me on his way to the site. At that time, I had explained very clearly where the trip was. He indicated he would call me upon arrival. 20 minutes later after receiving no calls, I began to exit my building to see what was going on. On my way out of the building, the technician called me and indicated that he must report a failed repair. Not knowing what that was, since I'd never had this experience before, I walked over to the car and he showed me a crack up about 6 inches at the bottom of the drivers side of the windshield. When I ask why the chip that I had indicated was not repaired, he said it was a surface scratch. I told him I'd never seen any damage at the location that is now a 6 inch crack in my windshield. Also, he didn't call me when he arrived so I could show him where the damage was. Instead, I now have a cracked windshield for which I am going to have to pay my deductible which is usual, means the entire amount. Keep in mind, that the windshield was not cracked prior to your technician cracking it.
I spent hours on the phone that week between Progressive and the customer service line for Safelite. Needless to say, I got no results. In fact, even Safelite couldn't contact the manager of the mobile unit in Laredo. Progressive will do nothing about this since it's a contractor for them. Aside from filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about Safelite, I would expect the business to take responsibility for the damage. I have had the windshield repaired many times in the past with other shops and not once had any damage.

Desired outcome: I want the windshield replaced at no cost, since your technician attempted a repair in a location I never indicated, and only called me after he damaged the glass.
Lies and ignorance
The company who processes these claims for insurance companies attempts to lie to people. They claim there is a 750 dollar deductible for the glass. This is not correct for the state of Arizona.
This company has gotten many companies in trouble with the state of Arizona and I will be filing a complaint with the state insurance board regarding this last interaction.
Desired outcome: Put out of business in regards to processing auto insurance claims for glass.
Rescheduling/customer service issue
Idaho Falls, ID location: DO NOT I repeat do not give this company a minute of your time or a dime of your money, I scheduled on 8/22 to have my half broken windshield to be replaced 9/2 (fastest time) they call on 9/1 saying they need to reschedule and can't have it done until 9/20. Are you freaking kidding me 18 days later and a month with a half cracked windshield, absolutely 1,000% ridiculous they clearly had zero intentions replacing my windshield when that appointment was made and left me waiting around and driving an unsafe truck for 10 days with zero regards for safety. I contacted a lawyer for safety and we will reporting this to the BBB and anywhere else I can.
I wholeheartedly agree! They "started" my repair on August 1st. Here it is, 9-9-22 and 5 (yes 5) visits/appointments, and I still haven't got my windshield replaced. I have been unable to drive my car since Saturday, 8/2. The SOONEST appointment (they couldn't even schedule) if AFTER 9/14, because they have to "order" parts. This is BULL! I will never use them again, and I will give them a "0" review score.
Technician broke my windshield wiper and didn't tell me
I'm so DISAPPOINTED in my visit to Safelite today. From what I can tell my windshield replacement is just fine and this was my reason for coming. What I have an issue with is the technician broke my windshield wiper and didn't say anything. I couldn't call back up to the shop today August 27th because they closed at 6pm and I was finished at 5:50 pm. I discovered this on my ride home. I decided to use my wipers because a bird pooped on my windshield. To my surprise the left wiper was broken and flopping around. I know for a fact my wipers were both working when I arrived because it was raining. I'm pissed because the technician tried to be sneaky. I got a text message after I was already gone saying your windshield wiper is broken and you should get this fix ASAP. 😤 This was c after I discovered it broken. My issue is what if it was raining hard when I left my life would be in danger because the technician was a coward and didn't want to own up to his mistake. Even if he made me aware he made a mistake I would have been mad but I would have replaced the wiper blades eventhough I don't have the extra money to do so. I want Safelite to replace my wiper blades because it's bigger then the broken wiper blade because my life could be in jeporady. If no one reaches out to me soon I'm filling a complaint on BBB. Yes I have pictures of the broken wiper blade.

Sat for 6hrs, then was asked "can you come back tomorrow" replied NO and asked for my keys back. was given keys but no paperwork, checked my card website found that I had already been charged $1,278.21 asked for a refund KAYLA SIONS-LEWIS (Manager) stated that I have NOT been charged yet.
Forced to file a fraudulent charge on my card before I even left their office.
Watched Manager being dismissive to other customers.
Desired outcome: stop sending me e-mails and adds, basically never contact me again!
