Start new financial was a savior to me and my family
Start new financial was a savior to me and my family. Like most young couples that fall to hardship I was the only spouse working bringing an income to the house and my wife was a stay at home mom taking care of our children. My job had experienced serious set backs and my income began to decline and all of sudden that wonderful salary I was bringing home declined and was no longer able to support our life style even after all the major cuts and slashes to preserve our budget. Got a ring at the door and answered it and wonderful person by the Name of Iris showed me some incredible and manageable options where I was able to succeed and keep life going. She introduced me to a program that could help stop the financial hemorrhage and keep my credit, save money while still being able to pay my bills. Start new financial was a godsend for me and can definitely help big time no matter the circumstances. Iris was a big help, absolutely professional, understanding and very knowledgeable. Thank you start new financial and thank you Iris for everything.

I paid off this company and also My Discover card I April 2022 then they paid my Discover card off May 6 2022 then in May they said they made an error I owed *** after them telling me I was completely paid since April 2022 so I paid the *** and they said I was paid off and I would get a paid statement.when I did not receive the statement I called they said I owed *** and so they took *** out of my account with the promise I would get a refund and a paid statement on June 17.Still have not gotten it and everytime I call there I never get the same person only run arounds.I am putting a lock on my bank account where they cannot get anymore of my money I have paid the over 15 thousand dollars they settled Discover *** how can I get a paid statement and my *** refunded.they will not let me talk to a supervisor.or anyone in charge.this place is a rip off and stealing people's money.Start new financial is the biggest rip off ever please help me.thank you *** stop this business from cheating us seniors and other people.Start new Finachialcrossroads is the ones taking the money
very professional people , great company. It has been a pleasure working with them. Will recommened them to anyone .
I started the program in March 2022 and Aiden was the person that answered the phone the day I was so afraid of what I was going to do about my debt and I shed so my tears and I can tell you if he hadn't been so kind and patient with me I would not have started the program... and would still be drowning in debt...now I have almost got all of my account settled and in 48 months I will be debt free! Thank you Aiden ?
Professional, very thorough in explaining options. I would highly recommend this company, working hard on my behalf. Good job!
SNF has given me some relief of worry and stress of trying to manage credit card payments. Aiden Sleigh has been great. He was very thorough in explaining the program and is always available when I have questions. I really appreciate his expertise and availability.

Overall, while Start New Financial was able to assist me in paying some of the debt, I still ended up having to pay off some of the debt myself. At the start of this program, I was advised that the cancellation process would be easier and simple but since then it has taken me from June until September to cancel, and even now they still have taken their time with the cancellation and it has been a stressful process. Every time I call in for updates I get different information and no one is consistent in the information that is provided. I have also been told that they find it "weird" of me for wanting to cancel and withdraw from their program and when I try to explain my reasoning they inform me that they deal with "weirder people" every day and will resolve my accounts as soon as possible. To have a company call their customer weird is not a good way to handle business and it is not their job to judge us for wanting assistance in resolving our accounts especially if some of us ended up resolving some of the debt on our own anyway. Once I finally received my refund check, I will never come to Start New Financial again.

Everyone that I have worked with so far has been awesome and kind to me. I love how everyone works with me and I hope I will never have any issues with anyone here. Congratulations everyone on a job well done! I'm super happy with how everything is going now. And it's nice to work with people who know what they are doing and that I can work with. Thank you so much!
These guys are crooks. The fees they charge more than make up for any savings and they ask you to STOP paying credit cards. They will ruin your credit. In addition they Lie about fees and hide behind legal verbiage to get away with what they do. BEWARE. They are good seasoned professional scammers.
These people are liars. My mother paid extra for them to have attorneys, when my mother asked them would the attorneys be trying to settle the debt they told my mother yes come to find out their attorneys never get involved in nothing so I dont know why they were charging my mother a fee an extra for attorneys. When I asked them dont you think attorneys will get a better response than the average *** contacting them and trying to settle they didnt know what to say. All they kept telling me was I understand. Also the creditor sued my mother for the full amount and they still took their 20% stating that they worked the case when they really didnt . My mother opted out her other credit debt with them and we hired an attorney and our attorneys said that most of these people who say that theyre going to try to settle debt are normally scams.
Worst decision of my life! They make it sound like the greatest thing ever, to get your buy-in. They even use that they have an A rating on Complaintsboard.com. This company having an A rating makes the Complaintsboard.com seem less credible. Theyre crooks! Calling people who are paying their bills on time, and telling them to stop paying them. I had great credit, which is now trash, due to this company. After all their outlandish fees, it was barely any saving, and definitely not worth how bad they mess up your credit. They refuse to transfer you to a supervisor, and even hang up on you. I wish I wouldve read some of these reviews before I agreed to this awful company. I hope the word gets out, so they dont ruin anyone elses credit.

SNF is a company that will tell you what you want to hear about paying off debts like we can cut your debt in half when in actuality, they don't tell you up front that once they make a settlement, you then have a 20-25% payoff fee. They also advise to quit paying your bills so then they default and put a bad mark on your credit report. You will receive numerous calls from your credit card companies threatening you that you must pay off your debt. I dealt with them in the past and I still have bad marks on my credit report. It's not always a great idea to go with a debt consolidation company. What I wish is that if they would have been up front and honest I would have never gone through this company to settle my debt. They are reported on your credit report as charge-offs. Once that goes on your credit report, it will take 7 years for them to be removed. So why go through a debt collection company when you can just settle your debt with your creditor on your own. I would advise anyone reading this to not go through this company or any other debt company unless you get all the facts up front. MY ADVISE: DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

No stars. Worst company consolidation. They make sure that their settlement fee is paid before your debt. Then they outsource to a payment company who tacks on additional fees such as phone charge to send the payment, fee to the payment company all over and above their settlement fee. They they only pay 1 account at a time and don't notify your creditors to let them know you have signed up with them, so all the other accounts go to collections causing your credit to tank. Call the company's and make your own payment arrangements. Don't sign with them.
I received notices from my creditors. They sent letters out to mine, and most responded back. Some automatically closed the accounts. which i have found is normal practice even if you negotiate with the creditor yourself, which is an absolute miracle in itself.
I am extremely happy with the choice I made to do this and I am so glad that my mom gave me their information. Very helpful, professional and I am always able to reach a real person. No regrets whatsoever!
and *** made this process simple, smooth, and easy. They lessened stress, anxiety, and instead gave me calm and peace.
I decided to cancel, but can't get any confirmation of this. Got a text saying money will be drawn from my bank after sending an email requesting to cancel service. Now I can't get anyone to call back or respond to my emails. Very unprofessional experience to say the least.
The debt resolution program was helpful; I used it to pay my $10K+ in credit card debt with ~$9300 in a little less than a year
The debt resolution program was helpful; I used it to pay my $10K+ in credit card debt with ~$9300 in a little less than a year. The cost of the program included settlement fees (for the company settling debts with my creditors) and monthly maintenance fees. All interactions I had with them were highly professional and amicable. My first negative is that *** may be a better option. From reviewing the programs again with my sister, it doesn't seem like they charge settlement fees and instead include all potential fees with your monthly payment. A more precise description of the fee structure up front would have helped make the benefit clear, but this was definitely better than staying in debt with credit card companies and accruing much more interest. My second negative would be that your credit score does tank while in this program, but now that I'm in debt free I'm sure it will recover, and I don't think there's a better way to get out of debt for the amount that I had, other than *** or just taking out a private loan if you can get an interest rate that makes sense for you, depending on how aggressively you want to pay down your debt.
Not satisfied at the moment and I expect SNF to resolve this issue
Not satisfied at the moment and I expect SNF to resolve this issue. Started in 2019 and only had 2 settlements. TWO. Then, come to find out that School's First Credit Union "can't be enrolled" because it is a Federal Credit Union and that "the sales rep should've known about this because we do." The sales rep is DAVID MILLER who included and enrolled SFCU as part of my settlement. The monthly payment ($1,439.00) I make includes School's First. SNF will not decrease the monthly fees "because it is paying for your Discover card and Lending Club, we need the money to keep money in your account." The Customer Service reps (Ms. Shay & Maribel) have been so gracious but unfortunately cannot help me. Since SFCU can't be enrolled it is now MY PROBLEM? I could've left this account in good standing and not have such a negative impact on my credit. And yes, they charge 25% PER credit card settlement as opposed to what David Miller told me "25% for the settled accounts (plural form)." This David Miller should pay for my unsettled SFCU account. Bring out the tape-recorded phone conversation - that's the proof! We are experiencing a pandemic and it boggles my mind how people can be so intentional in taking advantage of people like us.

I now know why this company tries so hard to get you to leave a review at the beginning of the program
I now know why this company tries so hard to get you to leave a review at the beginning of the program... it does seem good at first. I enrolled 5 cards with them, but they only settled one that isn't showing as a charge off on my credit report. Some companies won't work with them and you'll get sued if you have something like a discover or amex. They'll tell you to bring the start new packet with you to court and it won't get looked at, and then you end up paying that while you're still paying Start New. After that, I took off the remaining card I had left and got a better deal than I did for any of their settlements. Now I have everything close to paid off and still have months left to pay them for savings fees. You are much better off if you just stop paying your bills and then accept a settlement offer from the creditor because that is all they are doing and then charging you for the savings. They'll try to talk you into a loan, but it's like credit card rates and won't reduce your payment. I don't understand the point of this program if they can't get you better deals or keep you from getting sued or keep your accounts from going to charge off on your credit report. This is just what I wish someone had told me when I started.

On 10/6 I emailed with appropriate form attached to cancel with NewStart
On 10/6 I emailed with appropriate form attached to cancel with NewStart. They emailed back saying they have to speak with my "sponsor" before I can cancel. They said they would call me back within two business days. It has now been three days with no word. I want OUT. My credit is in the garbage. I appreciate they settled two accounts but in the meantime my interest rates on my other account have skyrocketed and I'm left with terrible credit. When I signed up I thought I was consolidating my debt. I did not understand what resettlement really was. I didn't understand that they would basically run my credit in to the ground while slowly playing hardball with my creditors, one of which (the biggest one and a medical credit card) informed me that they do NOT settle with third parties. I may not of left this review if they had just let me cancel on my terms and not wait until who knows how long to respond and allow me to cancel. I have $1800 in my "escrow" account that I could put toward catching up on my payments. I do not believe all these 5 star reviews. The only way they are real is if these people, like me for a few months, haven't figured out this is really a terribly BAD idea. Please ready all the one star reviews. I wish I had before I signed up.

Sales person visited our home three times, the first two times loudly knocking and then rang the doorbell then quickly running off. Third time it was like he was watching our house or had incredible timing as he just happened to be outside when I opened the front door to pick up my socially distant food delivery. It was startling to say the least, especially after having showed up two times before without leaving any information that he had visited or what he was visiting for. This third visit happened the same day as his second visit, in the dark. this is a very pushy tactic. He was standing a bit away thank god ( because Covid) and flashed some paperwork, saying he had sent paperwork to my husband and had he received it. I said no. He then says " I see you just got dinner, is your husband around to talk about the papers I sent him?" It was 6:15 at night so he knows it's dinner time and then after physically seeing that I'm about to eat dinner has the audacity to ask to speak to my husband. We did not ask for this and we certainly didn't ask to be harassed three times. As we have a ring camera we have evidence that he specifically targeted our house, drives up, parks, rings our doorbell only then scurries off. If we see this gentleman again we will be calling the police for trespassing. Is soliciting door to door even legal during these times? Please remove us from your system.

I spoke to a representative about 5.5 hrs, who convinced me to go with them
I spoke to a representative about 5.5 hrs, who convinced me to go with them. They use a an euphemism of debt restructuring. But like the others they are really a debt consolidation. It's like Pyramid schemes, changing to MLM's, and now it's a 'bad or negative name so they've come up with something else. For me, they can only handle about 18% of my accounts or debts. Next, he wanted me to cut up the "one" CC in my portfolio immediately upon before leaving. And cancel my direct deposit with the other two. They never completed the required registration checklist to proceed with the authorization. And, which I hated, kept sending me a noreply text/email. So, when my Rep finally responded to my attempts to contact him to cancel, because he couldn't...I called them, they sent me a confirmation text, but still drafted my account. Now, they say they won't put it back into my account and will have to wait 7-10 business days to receive a 'check' in the mail. I am so disappointed that I " Dranked the 'Jim Jones grape kool-aid " Unless EVERY debt you have is on the verge of bankruptcy...SNF is not for you. For they won't even contact your debtors for 6-12 months; and look at the list of what they deemed as difficult creditors...Credit Unions, AMEX to name just two. In fact, Chapter 7, 13 or 11 will give you more legal protection. Because creditors will be notified 'immediately' and a plan will be enacted for ALL of your bills...including housing, utilities, transportation, et.

Experienced predatory lending practices from Start New Financial loan department
Experienced predatory lending practices from Start New Financial loan department. Back in 2019 my desperation led to accepting call initiated SNF. Representative sent me paperwork to sign via email. I told SNF representative wanted to read documents and will return call. (Was at work) Upon I was told must sign immediately, wouldn't give me 24 hours to go over documents. SNF representative told me if need deferments wouldn't be issue. Since 2019 payments made as agreed with more than 2 deferments. Since opening account, SNF has contacted me 2 times concerning preapproved for loan. Ignored first email, then answered second to see terms and conditions. Oddly, all emails had Lending USA logo on letterhead of loan representative assigned to account. Find out dealing with SNF loan department not Lending USA after refusing high interest apy and apr on 36 month offer. Ask if possible to give me other terms. Recieved second offer, 24 month with slightly reduced apy and apr with payment above currently paying for 3 years. Was told no other terms available and it's a take it or leave it offer. Both offers refused. SNF representative tells me had 2 missed payments, actually deferments they encouraged initially. Today called and asked for deferment. Customer Service (5 star toward me) Told me no more deferments. Only 2 during lifetime of agreement. SNF has allowed over 6 deferments and never a problem before. Change of policies and trying to strong arm take it leave it loan department. I have 23 years banking experience for local community banks. SNF loan department receives 1 star service in my opinion.
At first, the sales rep who came to my home to explain this company and process to me was nice and thorough and seemed very knowledgeable
At first, the sales rep who came to my home to explain this company and process to me was nice and thorough and seemed very knowledgeable. I had a lot of questions to which he answered with answers I needed and wanted to hear. One question to which has me extremely concerned was that my four accounts that I wanted consolidated would be done and over with within six months and I can start building my credit up again. We are one year and three month later and I still have two accounts not settled. My credit has been a rapid decline since the start of this process and when I started I had fair credit with very small debt amounts. I knew this would be a factor tho. My debts were not extreme so I didn't think it would even take me the six months to pay them off without consolidating them. The website to check the status does not give you information needed to know what the status of your account is. It's vague and not informative. When I try to reach the company to speak with someone they too are vague with little information and tell me someone will call me back, never happens. You just get the run around stating your account is active and in progress but they don't explain anything regarding which accounts. I've reached out to the sales rep several times and he advised me that he has moved to another state and is no longer able to assist me with my process or progress. It's frustrating and definitely not a good way to consolidate debt. I do not recommend doing this! You are better off to file bankruptcy and be done with it and start building again before perusing a consolidation company such as Start New Financial. They suckered me in with lies and knowledge!

STARTNEW Financial has been a HORRIBLE service to use in consolidating our **** and paying it off
STARTNEW Financial has been a HORRIBLE service to use in consolidating our *** and paying it off. Rob and I started a process to get out of *** a little over 2 years ago. We were approached at our home by two very nice friendly gentlemen who were in constant or at least regular contact with us for the first 18 months of our 36 month agreement. Before we signed up for this service, I read reviews and discussed with my sister who is in the credit industry. We felt confident that we were going to be treated fairly and professionally. After the first *** to the customer service team. The customer service team has been EXTREMELY lacking in explaining the account charges. Today I requested to speak with a Supervisor and was told that they would have to call me back because there is not a direct line.We have agreed to a loan to pay off any remaining settlements. When I reviewed the account there have been NUMEROUS UNEXPLAINED charges. I called Customer Support to get an explanation of the charges. I was told that I had to speak to the Loan agent about the settlements. This makes ABSOLUTELY NO sense. The Loan agent deposited the money in the Start New Account. The Loan agent cannot explain the charges. We have no intention of consolidating *** or that need again in the future. However, any of our friend or family who may consider this option, please RETHINK using the Start New Program if it is presented as an option. Their *** is HORRIBLE.Today 05/03/2022 Spoke with ***. Wanted to know why we continue to have services charges and fees since we agreed to a loan. My understanding is that the loan was deposited as a lump sum and should cover all of the remaining settlement costs. If that is the case then START NEW should pay the full settlement agreement instead of payments.
I set up and account for my parents through this Start New Financial for 6 credit cards because they are on a limited income
I set up and account for my parents through this Start New Financial for 6 credit cards because they are on a limited income. My mother was served papers on Dec 27, 2021, about here Home Depot card and you only have 20 days to respond. My parents nor I have the money to get a lawyer to take care of this and they both have health problems and for the moist part home bond beyond going to doctor's appointments. They are paying 625 dollars a month now, but at one point in time they had added 100 dollars to the payment making the payment 725 a month. They said it was because of one of their credit cards for about a year so then all of a sudden, they dropped it back down to 625 several months ago. I'm not sure why because if it would have helped the company to move faster to get Home Depot taken care of, my mom would not be in this position. The big problem has been like most of the complaints I have seen is that other than customer service agents that document the account you can't talk to anyone else. I have been calling Start New Financial over the course since my mother was served, I would say at least 10 times if not more. We are running out of time and until it is all said and done if Start New Financial doesn't talk to these lawyers that are handling this action my parents will be stuck paying back the company plus court cost /legal fees. Of which again like I said earlier they are on a very limited income and so am I. I will say one thing though they have settled or paid off everything else which I am grateful for but at the same time the biggest complaint I have is I was told these people were going to call me so we can get this worked out of which I have heard absolutely nothing from them, and time is ticking away. I understand that people have to work from home and that most places are short staffed because of Covid, but it still upsets me that communication is not the key at this point an time. The other thing is 2 of my parent's accounts are being paid off according to customer service in March so once again I don't understand why Start New Financial hasn't started to try to settle with these guys yet.

I have been customer enrolled in the Start New program for almost a year, and I have finally had enough of the lack of customer service, lack of response to concerns, and lack of information & transparency in the handling of my account. A few of the major issues experienced: 1) Sending statements/documents related to my account & emailing customer service. - There is no acknowledgement of receipt or processing of information sent. I have to personally request this in EACH email. This is just lazy and makes it seem as though those messages are either ignored or disregarded. It's not hard to put an automated response on an email address. - Documents sent to customer service disappear and I've had to RESEND multiple invoices/documents because they couldn't be located when I've called in. There's a documents section on the account profile page, UPLOAD THEM THERE WHEN PROCESSING. - I've requested MULTIPLE TIMES to have someone reach out to me regarding concerns on my account, which are either completely ignored or replied with a response for me to call. IF YOU RECEIVE THESE TYPES OF REQUESTS IT SHOULD BE ROLLED UP TO HAVE A REPRESENTITIVE CONTACT THE CUSTOMER. 2) Requesting updates and information regarding enrolled debts on the account. - I have contact customer service by phone and email MULTIPLE times regarding updates for a debt that was "settled" and "paid off" last year. This account is STILL RECEIVING PAST DUE INVOICES AND SHOWING ON CREDIT REPORTS AS AN OPEN ACCOUNT. There has been absolutely ZERO FOLLOW-UP about this problem which is extremely disappointing and concerning. - This led to requesting documentation for the two "settled" debts on my account that both confirms and provides the details of the settlement for me to review and have on file personally (ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING YOU DON'T UPLOAD ANYTHING TO OUR ONLINE PROFILES). Getting this information was like pulling teeth, and when I finally got documentation, it was for only one of the debts AND NOT THE ONE THAT CURRENTLY HAS THE GLARING ISSUE. - I have yet to receive any formal update about that debt's situation, why it's not showing paid off and why it's still negatively affecting my credit. 3) The website is essentially useless and provides no real information about the account. This should have been updated 10 years ago.

I selected Start New Financial to consolidate four credit cards bills
I selected Start New Financial to consolidate four credit cards bills. The agreement was actually done over the phone with a representative named ***, I don't have her last name. Her direct phone number is *** if she is still there. We agreed in September to settle the account for a monthly payment of $536 a month for 42 months starting in October 22, This contractual agreement was completed in March 22, 2022. Of the $22500 i paid in, they settled all four of the credit cards account for $14,338. this gave the over $8000 in profits,I contacted the company to let them know that i was closing out the bank account i had set up to withdraw monthly payments, it was at this time they told me i had to pay another 11 months. I told them i was not going to pay another penny. the original amount was $26,600. My payment of $536 for 42 months totaled $22,500. This leaves them a balance of $8,100 to cover their fees ,etc. this is 36% of the money i paid.I really did not expect this, i trusted them at their word,However, after reviewing the welcome letter they sent me, there was no mention of the amount of money or time, But, when i was on the phone with *** she said the conversation was being recorded, I now believed i was scammed. Plus my credit score dropped from 6.8 to less than 4 while waiting on the accounts to be settled. The account in question is SNF *** or SNF ***. This account is in connection with ***.

I have paid my debts IN FULL to this company in October . I was under the impression I would completed with the program in a few weeks after the payment was made (this was the statement made to me by them). They continued to draft money out of my savings beyond my control, without my permission. Now I am being sued by an account that was settled with them, and they have not given me any support in resolving this matter. I have a court date and have been expecting a statement of completion. Instead I got served. All I get is apologizing from the poor customer service reps. *** in management or legal or priority has done anything to actually resolve the issue. The account in question has been paid by me, and the company could not complete their end of the bargain by communicating with the bank. Now I have been summonsed and have a court date on an account that I paid off! It was settled but they dropped the ball and are now being completely unresponsive because they cannot figure out where the money went or what went wrong. I am not the only one who was sold on false promises. This company needs to button up or shut down. I want all my money back, including all the fees except the the actual settlement amounts. They deserve no profit from this job that is still not completed and currently ruining my life.
I was sent a letter by Start New Financial. I am a disable federal DEA agent. I can not process things easily because I was involved in a earthquake in ***. I didnt know all about this charges this company have hidden. I am not longer interested in this contract. I signed up with them 3 days ago, and I have been calling for them to cancel it because I can not afford the payment. Ill rather pay my *** myself. I thought they are a loan company. It was after I finished signing before they told me they dont offer loan. Calling them back and they never answer or return my call. I am a federal agent and I need help for them to leave me alone and let me pay my bills myself. Please help me. I am disable and have no one to help.

This company is a scam all they do is to commit fraud , then refuse to return your money you paid them in our case it was almost 14,000.00$ We signed with this co in 2018 , first few months were fine the following year I sent them creditor information is February I was told our file was up dated , then in may my husband receives a summons from the same creditor , no one bothered to check the account numbers , then we are told we have to pay the 8,000.00$ because the account was already at the lawyers office , the second error was in august the same yr they took their payment out before our ss deposits went I so our checking account was frozen, negative 250.00$ and we had over a 100.00$ in bank fees so out of necessity I changed their payment method they claimed the payments were not arriving on time so we lost 3 settlements and they closed our account we were unable to sign with another co because of the debts being at a lawyers office , so we were forced to take action to protect ourselves and our home ( our creditors were trying to get judgements against us and our home , so we were forced to file bankruptcy... I have each and every document/ e mail that was from them , I also have the contract we signed , I also sent them a notice of cancellation which they totally ignored, I spent 2 days going through monthly ledgers ... we were charged almost 6,000.00 in fees from snf... they have offered a very small settlement which is not acceptable under any circumstances.

Start New Financial is not able to settle a small credit card *** in a timely manner, causing a delinquent status and a poor credit score for me, for almost a year. They also did not settle a large credit card *** at the price agreed upon, causing me to pay a higher monthly fee for years.

Kiera from Start New Financial knocked on my door in the middle of a rainstorm at 6:00pm it's super dark already and acquiring about my debt. Keira From Start New Financial came to my door knocking to solicit a sales pitch on how they can improve my life and my credit because the alerting information in their system telling them I met the criteria for someone they were looking for. So she proceeds to knock and when my mother answers who barely speaks English she's standing outside in a rainstorm trying to discuss my finances based on her tablet. I never requested for them to come. This is the second time, the first time it was two gentlemen who came in the middle of the night trying to get me to sign up with their company. Like it's COVID-19 my dad is 90 he's been in and out of the hospital he doesn't need people to be around the household who he's never been around. I told them once I was NOT interested in their service. They like to put you in a guilt trip. You know how uncomfortable it is discussing your finances to a complete stranger who somehow has information on you and your revolving credits. I just feel violated and disrespected. You got these Animals of people who take no for a answer applying so much pressure for you to sign up. Like NO I do not know you and two I did not ask for help or request for your help. So please take me off your mailing list and all other future visits. Your service is unwanted. I just can't go through that again in the middle of a rain storm.

This business is a complete scam. They hide monthly fees, they hide there expensive charges and lie how the program works. They use words like federally regulated to make it feel legit, as the take your money and take there sweet time actually resolving your debt. 4 months later and they have paid $100 towards my debt put of $1100 I have deposited., with another $400 gone to their fees!
The company is a debt consolidation institution which gathers debt for processing. They contacted ***(elderly lady with limited resources) online, and opened an account to consolidate and pay debt that is not in default and without her knowledge. They are making it excessively hard to cancel the account and are attempting to withdraw funds from her limited finances without her or her estates approval. All of this was done online over the internet fraudulently without her approval. This issue occurred February 2, 2022. Funds were attempted to be withdrawn on February 12, 2022.

On March 18, 2022, a company rep visited my son's apartment to discuss debt solutions.
On March 18, 2022, a representative for the company visited my son's apartment. The representative inquired about any debt issues, and upon learning of my son's credit card troubles, suggested a plan to resolve the debts with monthly payments of $344 for 48 months. My son agreed and signed a contract, then called me post-visit. I reached out to the representative, insisting on canceling the plan. Despite their attempt to convince me of the plan's benefits, I reiterated the cancellation request. The representative then claimed cancellation was unnecessary as my son hadn't fully registered yet. On March 21, my son informed the company he wouldn't proceed with the debt program. I tried to cancel online but found no account to cancel. Assuming the plan was void, I was surprised when $172 was withdrawn from my son's account on April 1. Contacting the representative again, we were told cancellation and a refund would take another week. The company's actions seem deceitful, and I demand an immediate refund for my son.

They preyed on me and my debt and revived my charged off debt from two credit card companies. I agreed to pay $400 a month and I don't think they're actually reaching any settlements and there are a lot of hidden fees they've been taking from the escrow account
After you sign the contract and send your first payment there is high turn-around, and no support! I have been making on time (automatic payments for 14 months). Only 1 of 3 accounts have been settled. One account is suing me. I have been calling the (800) number for weeks and get told the same thing, "we have the summons and someone will contact you" yet no one does. My court date is days away and still I have no answers.
Signed up with *** as she promised "she" could help negotiate payoffs. My credit would be improved and all debts paid off in 2 years from one monthly payment. That they "her amazing negotiating team" would contact all creditors let them know I was in this program do to financial hardship. They would handle everything and I wouldn't be harassed. Well this is 2nd summons! 1st I had to make several calls to get an answer and now paying $400 more a month than we agreed upon a year ago. Now looking at 2nd summons and told I should go to court. I feel ive been taken advantage of because of disability , financial hardship and age. But you can't get answers , return calls or any help from this company. I've asked to speak to manager many times and nothing. I'm told now I'll receive call in 8 days. Maybe more maybe less. Is there an honest business out there?
I signed up with Start New Financial on October. Ever since I enrolled in this program it has been a nightmare. This is the second summons that I have been served. I actually had to settle one of my accounts on my own because they never contacted the collection agency. I was served a summons on November 23, and I have been told on numerous occasion the "Priority Team" would contact me. As of today no one from the Priority Team has contacted me and the summons is now over it's 30-days. I have been told by customer service that the Priority Team can only be reached via a ticket that customer service must submit. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
Unsolicited 'credit card relief'
Unsolicited 'credit card relief'. Two men came uninvited to my house, called me by name & continued to advance toward me. I slammed the door on them. Thursday, September 3: I was looking out of my kitchen window and noticed a tan sedan with two men in it parked in my driveway. I wasn't sure who they were and of course I didn't go to the door to find out. They never rang the bell or got out of their car. The car left. The next day (Friday, September 4th) at about 4:00 the same people showed up, except this time they were in a silver car. They got out and rang the doorbell. The first man was maybe in his mid-twenties; the other man was older. They both had some sort of identification tags around their neck but I didn't get close enough to see what company they were from. My son answered the door and informed them that I was not available and that my husband would be home after 6:00. They said they would come back after 6:00. This time I went to the door making sure our dog barked a couple of times so they would know that I wasn't alone. The younger one introduced himself as working for a company called Start New and they handle credit card relief. He asked if I had a chance to fill out the forms they had sent to me a few days ago. I never got any such forms and never reply to unsolicited mail. I told them to take my name off of their list and slammed the door in their faces. I have since found out that several of my neighbors have had such interactions with these people and are equally as irate.

SNF Takes their fee whenever they want to
SNF Takes their fee whenever they want to. I made an agreement with them to withdraw their fee on the 15th and last day of the month (paydays). They withdrew their fee today 7/30. I had $45 in my account which by them taking their fee a day early overdrew my account by $204.70. The bank also charged me. I was so upset being that I was using the $45 for a birthday present for my grandson. I called them 3 times. First time I was apologized to and told that was the agreement they had in their system to take their fee on the 15th and the 30th. I told her I would've never agreed to that since I don't get paid on the 30th, I get paid at the end of the month. I was so aggravated with her I decided to call again later and spoke to a really nice gentleman. He also apologized and told me all he could do was change the withdrawal dates. I said okay and after a few hours passed I was still stewing about how they took money out of my account the day before it was due, overdrew my account and made me pay extra bank fees. This is why I don't let just anyone go and take from my account. Now I don't trust that they won't do it again. I called one last time and got the same girl I talked to first who refused to help me and I told her my name and that I wanted to cancel. She was willing to help me now and transferred me to a manager who said he would waive my next payment to make up for the fees that I was charged. I thought I was okay with that, but the fact is that I don't trust them now Andy I signed up with them to help me clean up my credit and now I'm as worse off now than I was before calling them in the first place.

Start New Financial had settled two credit card debts for me
Start New Financial had settled two credit card debts for me. I had made several calls to get updates on my accounts and was very much keeping track of the settlements and amounts owed throughout this process. I had called in January 2022 and was told I had already paid off my one debt and was just paying off the other. I had asked for a payoff amount then in which they provided an estimate. I called back in March to get a FINAL payoff amount in which I had to wait 24-48 hours for their finance department to get back to them with this amount. They called and gave me a PAYOFF amount of $1,900. I set up to make that final payments and confirmed with the women on the phone that this was the final payment in which she responded yes, this will be your final payment and you have completed the program. I call back two weeks later and spoke to a gentlemen that confirmed I had paid off my account and we were waiting for it to reflect on my account and that I would even receive a check with whatever money was left in my escrow. About a week later I receive a text asking for me to call and they tell me I still owe over $700 in fees! Fees for what?! Fees are included in monthly payments and it was confirmed several times I was completed with the program and I was even going to receive money back. After reading other similar situations on here its evident they try and take advantage. Whats the point of a payoff and confirmation of completion if youre going to come back and ask for more money?! I have requested the recorded phone calls the state they have in the beginning of every call and am awaiting those. We will see if they will hand those over as I rightfully should have access

Unresolved accounts with Start New Financial despite promises and payments
My account with Start New Financial has not been resolved as promised. I've consolidated three accounts with an enrolled balance of $1,053.00, yet no settlement has been reached. Despite paying $526.00 monthly, totaling $6,382.25, nothing has been worked out within the promised 6 months. Repeated calls over the last 3 months have led to evasive responses. A request for a written contract resulted in receiving only a welcome packet. The monthly payment amount is unclear, and the website projects an end date of November 2023, with a total of $18,936, while the consolidation amount is $16,982.00. I feel exploited by this company, and my credit record isn't improving. I'm considering bankruptcy as I lose funds that could settle these accounts. No documents are added to their website, and my requests for a written explanation of the calculated amount are ignored. I suspect my Hispanic background and limited English are being exploited. I've halted payments as of February because I refuse to continue without progress. They've failed to release any accounts or progress due to insufficient funds, despite my regular payments. I need assistance.

Repeated visits to my house
Repeated visits to my house. On Wednesday, November 25, a call I was on was abruptly interrupted by very loud banging on my door. I was on a call, assumed it was a solicitor so ignored it. About 30 seconds later, there was pounding at my door again. This time I got up, while still on my call, to see who it was. There were two females at my door, one with a tablet/iPad of some sort. I told them I was on a work call, so they walked off. They didn't say who they were with or leave a card or flyer with me or on the door. A couple hours later, knocking at my door, they were back! I was on a call again, looked through our peep hole & told them I was on a call. Again, they walked off. I looked out the window again to see them get in their car and drive off. They didn't go to anyone else's house, so I made a post to be on the lookout for them in my neighborhood site. They came back again on Friday, November 27. I wasn't home this time but my husband was. He saw who it was so ignored them. Again, they left no identifying information, which is NOT ok. A few hours later at 8:15 PM, they were back at my door. This time, I was home and not on a call, so I asked who they were. They told me New Start Financial. I said No Thank You and that was it. This is NOT the way to do business ever, let alone during a pandemic. 1: I will not be sharing any financial information with a stranger and 2: I won't be chatting with a stranger at my front door during a freaking pandemic. This company really needs to rethink their business model. I see the other responses from this business to the same complaints & that response is not acceptable. To say that others are in financial need? Nope. Call or email or whatever but door to door financial advice is a HUGE red flag and also not safe at this time.

Came to my home 3 times in last 10 days completely unsolicited by me or my husband
Came to my home 3 times in last 10 days completely unsolicited by me or my husband. I've never requested info from this company. Today, 2/8, a representative came by our home at 6:10pm for the 3rd time to try and talk to me AGAIN. I made it clear that it was the last time he was to ever show his face at my home again. He was pretty aggravated and very sarcastically said: "Have nice day" after I gave him a piece of my mind. I am concerned about some kind of retribution. HIs attitude was like " who me" not have a right to be here? He came by about 10 days ago when I was in a meeting and I opened the door and said I had no time or interest in speaking with him. He mumbled, so I actually didn't remember the name of is company- and didn't care. I figured he was going door to door. But I gave him a pretty incredulous look and slammed the door. His parting words going down the sidewalk were, I'll come back at another time and I yelled: not necessary. He came by again a few days later ( on 2-1), when only my husband was here, asking for me as if we had an appointment. My husband was confused about why a guy would be coming by our house and he explained I wasn't there. Tonight he came by again and I asked him the name of his company (no shirt or other identification was offered) and said I can't make it any clearer that he is blatantly violating my privacy by continuing to come by our house. I asked him the name of his company since he never offered my any identification or left a card any of the previous 2 times- including with my husband. Are you kidding me? I just read this is a debt consolidation company? How ridiculous that, even if I needed their services, which I don't- how could they be allowed to make such an invasion of someone's privacy about such a sensitive subject? These people need to be off the streets.

In Sept of 2019 I enrolled in the debt paydown program of Start New Financial based in *** I put a total of 11 credit cards in their program and they assured me that they will negotiate better terms with the creditors to reduce and eliminate my overall debt. We agreed on an amount that they will withdraw from my bank account, in the amount of $1187.00 on the 19th of each month, to cover the long term payments to the debt service. In April, I told them that I wanted to pay off all the debts. They gave me an amount, I sent it to them. They told me on April 12th, that I was all settled and finished. However, in November, I noticed they were still taking out the 1187.00 each month for a total of $9496.00 after settlement. I called them about it. The woman told me that it was in an escrow account and they would send me a check. After a few weeks of not receiving a check, I called back. They said the account was not closed because $350.00 was still owed to one creditor. They never notified me of this, gave me the runaround, told me to call the bank that handles the finances, which I did, only to find out they (Start New) were taking out fees every month, after the account was supposedly settled. Then, when they paid the final payment, they took another huge fee out of the escrow account in December . They finally sent ma a check for 5305.34. That's $4190.66 short of what they took from my bank after my debts were settled. They refuse to give the the rest of the money and insists that they can't refund fees. Why are they taking out fees from an account that was supposed to have been closed? Why was I never notified of any of this? How does a bank that's owed money not ever contact them? It's all shady. They had a financial trough and just took fees from it. It's unethical and appears to be criminal. I would like the rest of my money back. Please help. Thank you.

I hired Start New Financial without knowing their full fee structure
I hired Start New Financial. I have had this company since 2019. When I initially enrolled I was not made aware of a 25% service fee for all accounts the company establishes settlements for. When I entered into agreement with this company none of my accounts were in collections. I was told not to make anymore payments and any negative correspondence from my creditors should be directed to them. I was not told that all my accounts will have to go into collections before a settlement amount could be negotiated. This advice severely damaged my credit due to the missed and bad payment history, aiming to reach a settlement amount. One of my accounts I was told to default on. The company Discover then decided to sue me for the amount owed. SNF charges monthly fees from your monthly payment to provide legal representation in the event a creditor takes you to court. However, when Discover took me to court, I received no legal representation from SNF. The law office that sued me refused to discuss any details of my case with me, and said they would only speak with SNF. I contacted SNF for information on my case and they provided no details. I was asked to sign a court-ordered settlement which SNF lost. The law firm then placed a judgment against my home, which I discovered when I tried to refinance my house and the title company notified me of the judgment. Now, as I am at the last payment of my judgment, SNF claims I owe additional fees for service for obtaining a settlement amount and the judgment against my house before I am free and clear. This company has not been honest and has demonstrated poor business ethics. At no time was I informed about a 25% service fee nor that I would have to damage my credit history on all my accounts before they could assist me. I feel taken advantage of, manipulated, and continuously lied to.

I entered into a contract with Start New Financial in 2020 to assist me with a debt settlement of all my creditors
I entered into a contract with Start New Financial in 2020 to assist me with a debt settlement of all my creditors. In February 2022, I received a copy of a Request for Entry of Default from *** (representing ***). I immediately emailed it to Start New Financial on 2/18/2022 and followed up with a call to them to confirm they received it. I was told it would take 24-48 hours for the email attachment to be uploaded into their system. I then called again on 2/25/2022 @ 9:00am and spoke with Jody at SNF. She informed it was not received and to call back later that day. I called, again, @ 4:50pm and spoke with Norma of SNF. She informed me they still have not received it and suggested I email it again in which I did that same day. She also told me that someone from their Priority Team would reach out to me once the document appeared in their system. I double checked my emails to make sure the emails went through and they did. I, again, called SNF on 3/1/2022 @ 8:30am and spoke with Cody. He informed me they are still waiting for the documents to show received in their system and that it should appear by the end of the business day. On 3/1/2022 @ 1:10pm, I called Andrew C in the *** (the company that connected me with SNF). I explained my situation and frustration with him. He told me he would email a supervisor in the Negotiations Dept of SNF and ask them to call me ASAP. On 3/2/2022 @ 4:40pm, I spoke with Angela of SNF and she confirmed the document now appears in their system and someone from their Priority Team will be called me in the next day or two as they are gone for the day (they are located in *** and are EST). On 3/4/2022 @ 8:37am, I called SNF as no one has returned my call or reached out to me at all. I am just trying to find out what I need to do next as I know time is of the essence. To date, I have not received one call from SNF since 2/18/2022. I am furious! Please help.

An agent came knocked on my door, told me that they can help me settle my debts and have me spoke to her manager on video. They set me up. I was already working with a dept settlement company, they made me cancel with that company saying that they will do a better job, it's a complete scam. I keep asking them what is the fee for the service that they will be provided they said its only going to be a $33 monthly fee. I started working with them since March , it is now 6 months they finally settled one of my accounts when I really had 5 accounts to begin with. My credit went down drastically I'm talking about over 100 points they didn't care. I keep making payments to them they were not doing anything so far I have made a total of $1800 to them, they finally settled one of the accounts this month for $2200 and they only gave the creditor $193 which wouldtake 12 months for the account to settle, I do not approve it and I told them that I need them to give the creditor more money otherwise I won't need their service. They told me they are using the rest of the money to settle the other accounts little did I know they took $971 out of my account as their own fee that I knew nothing about. I was shocked, I talked to them almost every other week no one ever mentioned a fee to me. My reserve account only had $1800 at the time they took the money which doesn't make any sense this is a big scam! Please help me. I do not want to continue with the account that they have settled, the bank has allowed me to settle the account myself but start new financial refuse to give me back my $971 , they have not done anything and I have been with them for 6 months. They are forcing people to sign contracts when they know they explained something completely different. Please stop new start financial from scamming innocent people who are already in debt. I don't want them to settle the account, i notify the creditor, the creditor stopped their payment, now they just need to give me my money back I will settle the account myself.

No confidence in the company and concerned it is a scam
No confidence in the company and concerned it is a scam. Contract cancellation tactics are questionable. Not worth the risk. Originally sold on the service, but the more I looked into the company the less confidence I had. The company brochure claims values used during the consulting process are derived from the company's experience since 2007. The company hasn't existed since 2007. They are fairly new. Also, when checking their reviews on this site and on ***, all positive reviews are from customers, like myself, who were asked to leave a review based on initial sales experience, which drastically biases the reviews. Additionally, the majority of positive responses are very new... late 2019 to now, mid-2020. The accreditations used in the sale and shown in the brochure are *** (recently renamed to shake off issues with its former *** branding) and basically a collection of small debt resolution companies, *** (rating heavily biased by post-sales reviews consisting only of the name of the salesperson and how friendly they were), and ***, which is an online self-paced training company used to train their salespeople. Long story short... the company has no real accreditation or track record. So I almost immediately decided to cancel my contract per the contract via an email of a specific page signed by me and sent to the company. I called the next day to confirm receipt and double down on my wish to cancel. I was informed by email that my salesperson (same one who sold me the program) would contact me within 48 hours, putting the cancellation perilously close to the 3-day deadline to cancel without fees. I've since called the company and insisted there is no need to talk to the salesperson because my mind is made up. They told me they cannot cancel the contract unless the salesperson tells them so and they would have the salesperson call me immediately. It's clearly a stall tactic as there is nothing in the contract about needing to speak to a salesperson to cancel the contract. And what bothers me the most is how easily it was to qualify for the Hardship Act. I have debt, but it's not unmanageable, but this company is so ready to take 25% of the original debt owed as fees for its services, they'll push to qualify anyone as a hardship.

Started working with SNF to settle debts with two creditors, made payments of nearly $3,000 towards program - reached NO settlement yet no
Started working with SNF to settle debts with two creditors, made payments of nearly $3,000 towards program - reached NO settlement yet no refund. I started working with SNF in January to negotiate on a lower settlement amount of balances owed on two different credit cards (total amounting approx. $12,320). I have made payments of $355.00 monthly and timely. These payments are paid directly to SNF and NOT my creditors, resulting in a drastic drop in my credit score (at LEAST 200 points). This affected my ability to get approval for apartment rentals, ability to rent vehicles, etc. This has been a major hardship throughout the program, but I was patient in hopes of a decent settlement amount. Around September is when it became extremely difficult to reach representatives/advisors to assist with any questions or concerns I'd had. Upon enrolling, and until this point, my advisor at Debt Advisors of America (separate entity who works with SNF) was constantly assuring me that at any point I am capable of pulling out of the program at NO additional cost, no fees, savings would all be refunded as I had access to the online portal that carries my funds. I was aware of a $30 monthly fee - nothing else. At this point, hardly able to reach anyone, some days leaving DOZENS of voicemails and never hearing back, I began receiving calls and letters from Chase warning that my account would be sent to collections. SNF and DAA both actually advised that I BLOCKED Chase phone calls and to just ignore all warnings. Since there was ZERO movement on my program's progress (I was promised timely communication) I called Chase settlement dept. and reached a settlement of $1900 down, then called Capital One and reached a settlement agreement of a $2,492 pay off balance, approx $209 a month until total was paid off. At this point I'm expecting to pull out of program with SNF. I contact my advisor at DAA who arranges the cancellation and GUARANTEES! a FULL refund of my savings since January, amounting to nearly $2,600.00. This check was supposed be sent to me in a promised time frame of 8-10 business days. That is ALL the communication I was given. I was depending on this check to allow me to pay my Chase pay off amount, so since I was promised the refund, I borrowed the amount from a relative, expecting to pay it back ASAP. I then receive an automated SMS from SNF stating that a fee would be charged of about $1,217. Confused, I call SNF to inquire. IT IS NOT UNTIL THIS MOMENT that I am informed I would NOT be receiving my full savings returned in the form of a check! I would only receive a check of $1,357. It again, took DOZENS AND DOZENS OF CALLS to receive an explanation- stating that because "A settlement was reached with capital one prior to my cancellation" I would be charged a fee... of $1,217? Where was this EVER mentioned in any contract? Never anywhere! I would possibly understand to pay a small fee if they would have settled PRIOR to doing it myself, and if they would have notified me/received consent from myself to proceed- but I received zero email, call, or text communication. Received hundreds of reassurances over the past few months that this would never happen. Aside from all of this, where was the communication that a settlement with Capital one was reached? Also promised timely communication and updates on the status of negotiation. All from start to finish so so fraudulent and scam-like. I am indebted to a relative now who tried to help me, because SNF stole money straight from my savings. I received ZERO services from this awful company. Awful, cold, suspicious and unresponsive staff, entirely. Never agreed to pay fees, never approved this "settlement"...yet.. NEVER EVEN WAS INFORMED of a settlement until I pulled out. Totally was scammed and lied to. I am demanding my full refund back, as all I got out of this programed was ACCRUED DEBTS and fees and interest on my delinquent account, a terrible credit score, and lost a thousand+ of dollars, while already struggling to pay debts and living check to check.

Everything has been an excellent experience, way smoother than I ever imagined. *** is extremely thorough and on top of it all. Would recommend to anyone!
They are helping me in a very tough time in my life.
Always polite and they explain everything in a way I can understand and are very patient.
Worst decision I could have ever made. I had excellent credit and now it is ruined. I agreed to a 4 your pay off and Ive made every payment but I just called and they say now it wont be paid off till ***! Rip off, *** already paid in more than I agreed to and my accounts still are not settled. I would have been better off paying my credit cards myself and keeping my good credit. Just absolutely sick over this and no way out
