My Catalytic Converter was cut off my truck while I was on business in Houston, TX. Being that I live in Utah and was over a thousand miles from home this was scary for me. This happened on a Saturday so I tried calling my Agent, Vincent Campo out of the 8155 S 4800 W, West Jordan, Ut 84088 location of State Farm. There was no response, I texted him, still no response. I went through the 24 hour claims service after that, I was placed on hold for hours and hours at a time then had the call drop multiple times. I then had the rental car company try to contact the State Farm 24 hour service, they were put on hold for hours...I was on hold at the same time as the rental shop waiting for ANYONE to answer and save me from this nightmare. Still no response. The rental company had to close and I almost was stranded without a rental car, I begged the rental company to allow me to take a vehicle, luckily they did.
I had to convince Elite Rental Cars in Houston to allow me to take a vehicle so I could actually get my truck towed to the Toyota Dealership and transfer my items to this new vehicle. I was stranded from 7AM until 3PM on Saturday with no way to get a hold of anyone from State Farm. I had to take care of all my own items with zero help from my insurance...simply because it was not during normal business hours! Do accidents only happen during normal business hours? No they don't...
I have been paying out of pocket to stay in Texas for the past 3 days with NOT ONE CALL FROM STATE FARM! I finally called them yesterday morning and I expressed my disappointment to the agent I spoke to who assured me he will be calling the service dept at Toyota and the rental company to take care of my claim...that was at 9AM and it is now 8AM the next day and they still have not called the Toyota Dealership to get my truck taken care of so I can get back home. The Toyota Service dept keeps telling me they will not release my truck until State Farm calls them...I have left multiple messages to have State Farm(Nathan) call them and get this taken care of, they still have not done so. I am still stranded in Texas and it is now Tuesday...I have been stranded in Texas since Saturday, that is 4 days of being stranded with almost zero help from State Farm, zero sense of urgency to help me...I am appalled by the service I have received from State Farm.
I have been with State Farm for over 10 years and have bundled my home, a rental property, a 4 wheeler, a trailer and my truck through them. This is how I am being treated...
Claimed loss: I am still stranded in Texas with no help from State Farm.......Still waiting
Desired outcome: I need my vehicle back so I can go home!!!
