Straight Talk Wireless Hot spot issues every week

This is the worst service I have received in over 60 years. They are very incompetent .They don't know what they are doing. They just keep giving fake apologies as if they are reading a script. On top of that, they are extremely rude by keeping me holding on the line then hanging up on me. They don't even deserve 1 star they deserve 0 star. They lack basic communication skills in english.

Straight Talk Wireless Account debited without my permission.

My service end date was March 26 and I was to be paid on the 27th. I planned on buying more time on the 27th when I got paid. My bank account was debited $48.23 on the 23rd. I didn't authorize that charge and do not have auto pay. Calling Straight Talk is futile. You can't understand the CSR's. Fortunately I had the funds in my account to cover that amount. The payment was not showing as having been made for my cell number. So frustrating. I had to go to my bank and get a new debit card and put in a fraud reimbursement request. I still don't have my money back. I won't ever make a payment with my debit card again and will just buy refill cards with pin numbers. This really upsets me as I'm not rich, and that was my gas money until payday.

Recommendation: Don't use Straight Talk.

Straight Talk Wireless Service

I signed up for straight talk several years ago.one of the reasons I decided to get straight talk was I would get signals from Verizon towers.Verizon bought straight talk recently.not long after I wouldn't get a signal with places I had no problem with before.i would randomly not be able to make calls.i would lose internet where I had no problem before.not long ago I had to go to pennylania for training.when I was coming back I couldn't get a signal.this is a 5 hour trip.i had to reboot phone several times so I could use maps.That would have been bad that I couldn't get home because they made the signals worse.

Straight Talk Wireless Unauthorized charges

I purchased a one time one month service plan for a phone purchased in December. I did not authorize auto refill. Now, here we are a couple of months later and I am all of the sudden on auto refill that I never authorized. This is not the first time. Last July, I canceled service for a lost phone. Because I could not use the verification code they needed to send to my lost phone, they would not cancel my service and required me to reverse the charges through my bank. I did so. They continue to do the same thing every single month. I closed my card as instructed by the bank two months ago. They have still managed to continue charging me and calling them as the bank requires has fallen on deaf ears. Here we go again

Claimed loss: Monthly charge of 35.88 and a lot of my personal time on hold and the phone trying to resolve this

Desired outcome: Please fix your policy to quit charging accounts that have requested reversals. This is ridiculous

Straight Talk Wireless Representative at local walmart

I want to express my frustration with an extremely unprofessional experience I had with a Straight Talk representative at the Norristown Walmart (650 S Trooper Rd, Norristown, PA 19403).

On the morning of February 3rd, I contacted your representative to schedule an appointment to purchase and activate an iPhone 13. We agreed to meet at 5:30 PM on February 4th at the Norristown Walmart. However, when I arrived at 5:20 PM, I was informed by Walmart staff that the representative had left at 4:30 PM—a full hour before our scheduled meeting time.

This behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The representative failed to honor the agreed-upon appointment, wasting my time and preventing me from purchasing and activating my phone through Straight Talk.

I have proof of our text conversation confirming the appointment, as well as photos of the store showing that the representative was not present at the agreed time.

I expect this issue to be addressed seriously. I am highly dissatisfied and totally pissed with the service I received I will share this experience on Google Reviews, TikTok, and Instagram to inform others of the lack of professionalism I encountered.

This horrible experience need to be addressed properly, or I will keep filing the complaint online.

Straight Talk Wireless Straight talk refill card 35.00

I bought a card back on Dec 1. When I went to activate it to my phone it stated that this card was already used. I called Straight talk and was told that I had to return it to Walmart. After the holidays I went to Walmart and they said that they do not refund these cards and that I had to go through Straight Talk. I called Straight talk again and was told that they do not refund these either? What? How do you not do a refund for a product that I didnt receive? I have the card and the service pin number, and they indeed checked and said that they card was used already. They can't tell me by who but sorry we cannot refund you. As far as I'm concerned, this is fraud. Selling a product that I didn't get and not making it right. I have been a customer with Straight Talk for over 10 years, 3 phone lines and Im SOL? I work hard for my money, I guess that Im going to be switching my phones over to another carrier. [protected]

Straight Talk Wireless Turning off my service, before the 30 days are up

I have been with straight talk for many years, i think that their service is pretty good, customer service is not the greatest, my problem is that they have been turning off my service recently, before the 30 days are up, i purchased Minutes from them on dec. 20th through paypal, and they turned off my service today the 15th, 5 days early, I tried to contact them online, to get this problem resolved, but they had me wait, saying that i was 149 in the queue, then after 30 mins. the automatic thing came on again, and asked me how they could help, i thought that i was talking to a person, instead, i was ignored, and put in 248th place, still Not resolved, this is Not the first time that straight talk has shorted me on days. I will try again later to see if this can be resolved.

Desired outcome: to have my service turned back on and have reminders sent at least 7 days ahead of time, occasionally they do send reminders, when i need to purchase more minutes.

Straight Talk Wireless Did not receive $45 service card I paid for

I purchased an SE 3 I phone and minutes on or about Dec 10 2024. I received the phone but not the minutes. When I talked to customer service I thought they corrected the matter. Only to find they used my rewards instead. Now I’m out of data.

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service

My son purchased the wrong kind of card to match his new phone he got. I was on a live chat for a half an hour to find this out. Then when I asked if the money would be put back on the card the customer service ended the chat. The $35 is on a phone that doesn't work. Apparently my son purchased the wrong kind of sims card at least that's what the customer service rep said.

Straight Talk Wireless Unauthorized $143.41 charge after changing plans

On September 8th 2024, I purchased a phone plan from Straight Talk Wireless. After taxes/fees, the amount came out to $48.95. It seems to have finished processing on the 9th according to the bank statement. On a monthly basis I purchase a phone plan from this vendor. Normally I purchase a $35 Bronze Unlimited plan but decided to switch to the $45 Silver Unlimited plan due to my needs changing.

On September 18th 2024, a charge of $143.41 was placed on the credit card. I did not notice this until September 23rd 2024 when I logged into the my bank's app to check up on my balances for Checking + Savings accounts. The only product I purchase from this is the monthly phone plan as described before and nothing else. I have no idea why this $143.41 charge was being imposed onto the credit card. It is very incoveniant and frustrating to see this random charge placed on it.

Straight Talk Wireless My wireless unlimited data isn't so unlimited unlike it rarely works [protected]

I have never had so much data problems I get the 45 dollar plan and I get kicked off Internet it's slow won't let me connect nothing and it's say it's unlimited also turning phone on and off doesn't work.these so called tech support don't know how to work on [censored] you can't even understand their broken English I am filing a civil lawsuit against them with my attorney in Monday.

Bob Sumerel Tire & Service really seems to have dropped the ball on delivering what you paid for. Could’ve been worse — you’re taking action to make sure they don’t get away with it. Sounds like they need a serious tune-up in both service and support.

Straight Talk Wireless Payment not refunded

I was transferring my number from straight talk to qlink wireless and was not informed when the transfer would take place. My service was going to run out on June 6, 2024 so the morning of the 6th I renewed my plan which cost me $38.60, little did I know that afternoon they would transfer my number over to qlink and when I tried to log in to my straight account it could not be found! It was like I was never a customer at all. I called customer service and told them what happened and that I should get my money back because my account was cancelled and I never used the plan I paid for that morning. They could not find my account no matter what info I gave them and refused to acknowledge that I was even a customer just an hour prior to my call.

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service is abominable!

I had been using Straight talk for about half a year and everything seems OK ... until now. On 05.31 I called Straight Talk and payed them my monthly bill from debit card. Today, I found out, that they they billed my credit card, too, almost double amount more. They couldn't resolve issue through the chat, they couldn't even find my account not with my number, not with SIM card number, so they called me back. The elderly woman, who talked to me, mumbled very quickly. I gave her all the information she asked for, got something reassuring as an answer, then she hang up on me, without giving me a chance to ask her anything. When I wanted to call them back, I found out that my phone is completely disconnected, no calls, no texts and I can call only 911. I went back online from my PC, hoping to straighten out the situation through their chat. Nothing doing. They told me to give them the phone number where they can call me, but I have only ONE phone, where I will get them another line?!

This is the conversation that followed:

Them - "you need to speak with our voice representative to provide those information and to help you bout your service since in char our tolls is just limited."

Me - "But I can't talk to anybody BECAUSE my phone is disconnected! You customer assistant put me into catch 22. My phone is off, but you can't activate it because you need to call me. What can I do?!"

Them - "Please contact us once you have an alternate line since in chat we are able to process this on our end.

Please feel free to chat with us again if you have any further questions.

Thank you for chatting with Straight Talk.

Conversation closed by the agent - Now"

I understand, that they can't know about this, but it is only 5 days since I was discharged from the hospital with a very serious diagnosis. Now, thanks to them, I can't even call my doctor if something happens. I am disputing both charges and getting a new SIM card from another company! This is simply outrageous!

Desired outcome: I want my account restored, money to my credit card returned. Apologies would be nice, too.

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service

I have used straight talk many times since they started. Recently I broke my phone so I got a new one. I contacted customer service to take off my old broken phone and put my new device on. I used the old sim from my moto g and put it in my new samsung a15. When customer service failed to understand my request they logged in that I was using a new account, which was not the case, I purchased a new straight talk phone from their company. I got sick of dealing with multiple customer service and decided to switch providers, mint mobile. I received the sim kit and called straight talk customer service to get all the information to transfer my phone number. Prior to my call to straight talk my phone was not locked. After getting some information and tried switching my device became locked. I called customer service once again and see that what was going on. After 4 customer service representatives later they told me I would have to pay due to my account only being 11days active! My number I transferred from Verizon may of 2023 I had used the same number and account through straight talk. They told me I would have to pay to unlock my device considering it was only days since account was open! I've used the same email, same number, same provider same account. In my frustration with straight talk I demanded my device to be unlocked and not pay due to my account being active for over a year. Customer service then disconnected calls and my sim card deactivated. I now have no abilities to use my phone for service that the ACP program has paid for. This company swindles money through the acp program and causes pain and suffering to its customers. A suit needs to be filed against them and investigation needs to take place.

Straight Talk Wireless Unlocking my device.

I broke my previous phone and purchased a new one from my local Walmart Aug 2023 and When I activated the device with them somehow my iemi# didn't transfer over correctly to the new phone. I had service on this device every month since August 2023. I called in to have my device unlocked on 02/20/24- 02/23/24. I sent in emails showing proof of this purchase along with the other information they requested.They fixed the iemi issue with an IT tech and I was told id be emailed the codes to unlock and never received any emails,this action caused it to show newly activated as of 02/22/24 and was told to ignore this as I had already had the phone active since 08/23. They refused to fix this issue. I was told that it wouldn't be unlocked even after explaining the situation over multiple days and would constantly ask why I wanted it to be unlocked even though I have stated to them each time why I wish to have it unlocked. I received an email along with a call from their resolution department 02/28/24. The agent wanted to verify the account with my personal pin number which was given correctly. The agent then asked for me to provide the 2 most common phone numbers that are in my phone log to complete verification. I provided these numbers yet I was told these numbers were not matching? One of the numbers I provided is a number from my roommate who has the same service provider so that didn't make much sense. The agent said it would be escalated but no guarantee that the request would be made. Their system error is not my fault nor should it effect me in any way of unlocking my device. I've had nothing but poor customer service from the very beginning. Their customer service is poor to say the least and I can only imagine how other people have been treated in this matter as well.

Claimed loss: 2 weeks of service. Price of device if I was to trade in to another provider would be $100. Price paid for phone was $58.36 after my in store credits.

Desired outcome: I want my phone (device) to be unlocked.

Straight Talk Wireless Cellular data slowed to unusable speeds

My data has been constantly slowed down to unusable speeds since February 5 until now. I have contacted Straight talk customer service and was assured that I had the "unlimited" data plan and everything was fine on there end. The data speed will be fine for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then is repeatedly slowed down to less than 1 MB/s. I have many speed test results from every day since it has started.

Straight Talk Wireless Brand new iphone 15 just purchased - service does not work

I purchased the phone in November as a Christmas gift. It worked for 15 days. I paid for service on January 3, 2024 and the phone has not been active yet. I spoke to at least 30 people who have tried to turn the phone on and it has not worked and I'm still out of an active phone.

I requested a refund for the non-working phone that I have been working with your representatives and it's documented but no one can get it to work. I was told I was beyond the date of a refund. I paid over $900 cash for the phone and the monthly service fee for January and the phone doesn't work.

My only option was to try to transfer to Verizon to have service. Your organization transferred the number but locked the phone and said they couldn't unlock it until I pay 60 days for service. I explained the situation several times and was told that's the process. I have been with Straightalk for years.

The representative that I spoke to today has no supervisor. Baby Jane #523191 is the name and id # given today at 1/31/2024 at 4:38 pm EST. I couldn't get transferred to no one. I'm stuck with an iphone 15 and service that does not work and you are requesting more money for a phone that is incapable of being turned on and said unfortunately that's the process. PLEASE HELP with your broken process and product.

Straight Talk Wireless Slow internet and data.

My Internet and data are very slow and that's if it actually works. I'm in central Illinois and the tower it goes off of is in Chicago! There are towers down here where I live. I can't get apps to update and videos barely work! I've called customer service and they don't help at all! Towards the end of my billing cycle it's like they throttle down my data!

So I received an email from straight talk about my initial complaint. They sent me a link to follow. It takes me to the straight talk website and gives me the customer service number. I know what will happen, I'll get someone I won't be able to understand and I'll get frustrated and hang up. I did a speed test on my phone the other night and again tonight. Both say very slow. It says server in Chicago. There has got to be one closer for crying out loud!

Straight Talk Wireless Incompetent customer service

I have been a customer of straight talk for 2 years now. I have always had the $45 monthly plan. I decided to try the $55 plan since Walmart+ membership was offered as well as paramount+, which would begin on 12/16. I have not been able to access either of these! I kept getting a message stating that they could not find a Walmart+ membership associated with my account, when I tried using the link straight talk sent to me. I have tried chatting with customer service, with the first one very obviously apparent that they did not wish to help me, since I stated that and there was no response. In fact, that person stopped communicating altogether. Later when chatting with another person from customer service, she told me that she would request a call back and that there was nothing she could do on her end. I received a call back this morning and was told I needed to wait an hour, and someone would call me back. After waiting 2 hours I finally had to call customer service. After one hour on the phone, with no help and after being transferred to someone else, they hung up abruptly and did not call me back! I called them back again and was very adamant about speaking to a supervisor and to someone who could understand my problem. She refused to transfer me and said she could help. She didn't! She finally transferred me to someone else and after another hour on the phone, that person hung up as well and did not call back! Those are 2 hours of my life that I will not get back as well as wasted money on a product I cannot use! I feel that this is some kind of scam and want my money back but they refused to do that as well.

Straight talk emailed me and said they wanted to redeem themselves and asked me to click the link to chat with someone. Another 30 min of my life wasted! They do not keep any information from previous chats or phone calls and you literally start all over again! This person did not help me any more than any of the others. Do not use this company! I do not know who these people are that straight talk employes, but they are the most incompetent people I have ever encountered! They will scam you!

Straight Talk Wireless My monthly service plan.

I paid for my monthly service online chat with a custermer service representative. I purchased the $55 dollar unlimited everything for a month, and she added a promo code which was suppose to charge me $10 but that's not what happened. I got charges $55. But yet my plan was a $10 plan an I o ly had service for a little over a week. I am highly upset about this considering I was recently scammed an lost $26,000! And everything I call and talk to a representative about fixing this issue I get hung up on. I would like to have my service restored please and refunded. I was very rudely spoken to and hung up on several times as well this is obscured!

Desired outcome: I would like my service back on an to be gifted in some way. The distrespect from those representatives was shocking to say the least

Straight Talk Wireless Cell phone name registry

I signed up for service with Straight Talk about a year ago, and as yet, they have not updated the name in the cell phone registry to reflect my name.

The name attached to my cell phone is Ray Abbett, not John Watson (me)

Consequently, whenever I call someone new, the name Ray Abbett appears, not John Watson. Consequently, they do not pick up the phone call and we end up playing phone tag.

Claimed loss: I am an independent consultant and it is critical that my cell phone displays my name or I lose business.

Desired outcome: Change the name!

Straight Talk Wireless Cell phone service for my Galaxy S7

I have spent more then 20 hours trying to close my account because I have had no wireless service for two weeks. Every phone number they transfer me to asks for the same information and then sends me back to the same people.

They refuse to provide a transfer pin unless I use my phone to provide them information. But I can not use my phone and they don't send emails as they promise. THerefore I can neither bring my same phone number to T Mobile or get help from them in closing my account. It is one vicious circle between people with terrible Philopenian accents.

They have no service centers except Walmart and they only sell the phones.

Desired outcome: Allow me to transfer my current number to T Mobile or even to them if I buy a new phone from them

They put you in a transfer circle between two or thee phone numbers. I was unable to break through their scam even after three days and 18 hours on my computer and my house phone. They make it impossible to survive with the same phone number even if you try to buy a new phone from them.

Straight Talk Wireless "service" or lack there of

just the latest straight talk "service"... 11-24-23 straight talk took my monthly payment, 5 days later they shut off my phone without notice. the only way to get it turned on was to make another payment through the App... this is the third time they have cost me money in two months! when contacting them, they corrected the error but told me it would take 10 days (convenient for them) with NO guarantee it would'nt happen again... dealing with people who do nothing but put up walls in front of you making it almost impossible to contact them and resolve issues of there own making with zero accountability when costing customers additional money... Again this is the third time in 2 months!

This is BY FAR the worst phone "service" (or lack there of)I have ever delt with and I will be going back to Verizon and happily pay for their price increases for actual "service" and have a phone that does'nt leave me stranded with no options but to use there "service" that they can and will shut off without warning (wich they have already done multiple times)

GOOD BUY STRAIGHT TALK, AND GOOD RIDENCE!

Claimed loss: 150 PLUS

Desired outcome: actual service with guarantees things like this wont happen again! they have ZERO accountability on there end and will take every penny they can
