I am wanting to let you know how dissatisfied I am with your service. We have been a loyal customer for over 30 years. Recently our bill has gotten out of hand. We tried calling your customer service line yesterday and was on hold 5 hours! No Kidding! That is absolutely Ridiculous! We now have the option of switching to Ecolink! If we can't get better customer service that is our intention! We are going to give customer service a call again this morning, but make no mistake we will not pay over $ 200 a month for this kind of crappy service any longer! Sound going in and out
The sound keeps going in and out every few minutes. This is annoying when I am trying to watch a show. In the last hour it has faded in and out 48 times. This is ridiculous since I pay so much for service. Why can't suddenlink provide quality services since we pay quality money? I have reset my digital box several times to no avail. Turned off my television several times as well.

software downloads without requesting access
it is 1:04 am on Monday morning. I watch tv to stay awake and get ready for a night shift. Suddenlink performs a software download between 1am - 4am every Sunday evening (Monday morning). this is very frustrating as they do not give an option to schedule the download and whatever show is being watched is interrupted without prejudice.
One week it came 5 minutes before the end of a show and did not allow access until 10 minutes after the show ended. This was very frustrating to say the least. The show was not in the schedule so I could not get it from on-demand or other.
Desired outcome: have the download request precede the actual download and allow a time to have it performed
Cable TV service
When purchasing cable RV service I paid a month in advance. I cancelled the cable service 4 days into the billing cycle for a month I had already paid for. The following month I received a bill which include no credit for the service I had paid for but in fact, charged me for cable service for the next month as well. When I called the automated system it said I had a $141.00 credit however my next bill was for $93, the cost of basic cable. This is theft.

Internet comes and goes, needs new hub and company refuses to repair, going to contact better business bureau, and channel 3 news if I don't get satisfactory results. This has been an ongoing complaint for several months now. Have video time signature with dates of outages. The repair techs have been in my home and they all say it is the main hub on a pole near my home but they can't repair without a po order. They say they have to be here when the outages occur! This is plain bs! Sometime the service is off for a few min up to a few hours. Please fix the problem!

Increase in bill
My bill was $10 more this month. When I called customer service they said it was because my promotion had expired. Last year the same thing happened and the agent was able to give me the promotion again. This time I was told they have no promotions available. When I asked about the Price for Life offer the agent said that is only for new customers and I would not be considered a new customer unless I disconnected for 3 months. He said this is a marketing decisions made at the corporate level to attract new customers. I told him how horrible that is to treat current customers in good standing that way. It's ridiculous that they do not offer their existing customers the same deals they do to new customers.
Desired outcome: I would like to receive either the same promotion I was or be able to receive the Price for Life that is offered to new customers.
Internet connection
I ordered suddenlink connection to my home last week. They connected. They have not even created bill until today and they have not yet send bill until today. Sothat I was waiting to pay when I see the bill. Today morning onwards internet was down. When I called in the evening suddenlink customer service said pay $48.50 for internet and modem. I paid over phone. Thereafter internet connection came back. Who was the stupid turned off the internet server, sothat I could not get the internet. How will anyone pay without seeing a bill. Doesn't this a great stupidity-Pay first even before creating bill by suddenlink billing department. When they charge internet $40/month to me for 100 mbps internet, please see their advertisement $35/month 100 mbps internet https://www.suddenlink.com/ . What kind of crime is this?
Service charges
On 8-27-20 my neighbor ran over the box where all the cables are attached. This is done frequently. I called Suddenlink on 8-31-20 for a repair appointment. The representative scheduled the appointment for 8-31-20. I advised representative I would not be home that day but would be home the following day. The representative told me I should keep the appointment because it was the earliest appointment available. He said they could come out fix the cable and since I would not be home they could call me the next day to make sure everything was ok. Well, the tech. told Suddenlink I was not home and on my bill I was charged a $60 no show fee. When I got home I saw the cable was not fixed so I called again and got an appointment for 9-8-20. On that date the cable was fixed. When I got my bill and saw the $60 missed appt. fee. I paid my regular bill and sent in a letter explaining that I was told I did not have to be home. No one responded to the letter but I waited to see if they would adjust the next bill. They did not. Now later fees are adding up. I have called numerous times and told my issue would be forwarded to someone else for resolution. After many phone calls I got no resolution. I called today and was told the Resolution Team said the charge was good and would not be waived, nor would they waive the 13 days I was with my phone, computer, and TV. I called today and ask for a number to speak with the Resolution Team. The number I was given was just a contact number and not to the Team. She told me once the Resolution Team made a decision, the matter was settled and nothing could be done. I ask for an address to the corporate office. She said she did not have any addresses. I ask how I could make a complaint and here I am. I believe it is not fair for the representatives to advise me to keep and appointment and then I get penalized for it. Does suddenlink need the money that bad. Perhaps the representative that speaks on behalf of suddenlink needs more training. I do not believe I should pay the penalty fee + the accumulated late charges and I should be reimbursed for the 12 days I was without service. [protected] If you need my name let me know.

Billing / unauthorized charges
I am a long time Suddenlink customer. I have a new charge on my bill for $17.99 + taxes and fees for "Cloud DVR Plus" that I didn't authorize. I called customer service and spoke with Alexia today. She can't tell me who authorized this feature. She removed the fee but will not remove the extra charges. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Isheka got on the line. She will not refund the additional charges. I did not authorize this feature. Suddenlink cannot charge me for something I did not authorize. I want the $2.83 removed from my bill immediately or I will cancel my service with you. If customers matter to Suddenlink then do the right thing. Take care of your long standing customers and quit adding things to my service without my authorization.

Internet service
I have Suddenlink 50Mbs internet only. I am using the Suddenlink modem/wireless combo. The modem is rebooting several times per day. There are no ethernet wires involved, everything in the house is wireless. There are 5 computers a wireless printer, 2 iPhones and an iPad on the wireless network. The device is an ARRIS and the attached photo contains some info about it.
Suddenlink has been onsite several times, replaced the cable from two telephone poles away and the cable underground to the house. Each time they say the signal is very good, yet the modem rebooting continues.
This problem is getting worse up to about 5 times a day..
What needs to happen to get this fixed?
Wireless and network
I have been dealing with problems with my network and phone service for over 2 months now. I went yesterday and changed out my equipment and I am still having the same problems. The wireless network comes and goes and the phone goes out when the modem goes down. I an now to the point that I am ready to cancel Suddenlink all together. I pay $198.00 month and half that tine I cant even use my internet. I want a technician to come out and fix this problem once and for all.
Service wire on ground
SuddenLink placed my service wire on the ground across my concrete driveway in May with the promise it would be buried within two weeks. It is now November 24 and the service wire is still on the ground. We have tried to disconnect our television service but the lady name Libby refused to give us the service we asked for and hang up.
We called several times to get to another customer service agent to disconnect our service, in general, the lady name Jackie pretends like she can't hear me even though the phone was on and hang up again.
Sick of these people we are dealing with not interested in giving us the service we deserve even after we fully verified the account.
We are not going to pay any bills for the service we are forced to use. Suddenlink has horrible customer agents and these people collaborate to not assist anyone.
Internet service/fraudulent billing
My internet has increased by $40 dollars in three months. I reviewed past statements noticing a 5 dollar discount when calling was told it was a promotion that ended. Noticed my bill increased and had another promotion price on it for which I did not request called again customer service stated it was a promotion that expired. Another month goes by the promotions and discount increased that were not previously on statement now appear. When I called I ask how there are two promotions that just appeared that that were not previously on bill. Customer service had no explanation. Just states the promotions are over. I have been with suddenlink for years my promotions ended years ago. My bill continues to increase with no resolution. Customer service puts on hold and drops call unfortunately I have filed fcc complaint and now will be looking for compensation I have statements that shows no promotions yet appears in order to increase bill by 40 dollars.
Amazon gift card rip off
I signed up with Suddenlink in February 2020 and was eligible for the gift card after making the required payments but never received it? Now I'm told in November that I'm not eligible? Suddenlink and Altice mobile should be investigated by the Federal Government for fraud and deceitful business practices. Both companies are owned by foreign investors that don't understand American laws.
Internet and television
I started their services in July. Since then I have been without television service a total of approximately 2 months and internet a week. So far, it's still out. I asked for a discount on my bill and was told that they couldn't do anything for me. Any time that I've called their customer service number I've had to wait for a minimum of 20 minutes and the people who answer are rude and in pleasant.

I was contacted by Suddenlink through a sales call offering cable TV for $79.95 a month for 12 months. Before agreeing to switch from Direct TV and have Suddenlink install cable TV, I asked the sales person if the SEC network and RFDTV were included. I was told both would be included for the price quoted. The installation went very well, the installer was very professional and did a great job.
It was in the first week that I searched for RFDTV, only to find it was not included in the package as promised. I called customer service only to be told it would cost me $20 more per month to add RFDTV and the SEC network.
I let this go on for another week or two, and was called again by Suddenlink sales offering me TV for even less that what I was quoted before.
I called the next week and told Suddenlink to cancel my TV contract. When asked why, I explained the problem with not getting what I was told I would have. I was offered the two items at no extra charge, but told them I would not put up with being lied to.
I was then told I could cancel, but that my internet cost would increase from $115 per month to $122. I asked why that was, and the customer service rep. told me it was because I would lose my bundle discount. I told her I was not bundled before the TV contract and my bill was $115. She told me matter of fact my bill would increase to $122. My past 2 bills have been $127.
Suddenlink has provided pretty reliable internet service, far better than we experienced with Centurytlink. But they do not notify us of any increase in the cost of their service, which has increased from less than $73 per month in early 2017 to $127, with increased coming every 6 months or so.
With offers advertised for as little as $20 a month for internet service, one gets the feeling they are making these type offers while trying to make their profit on the backs of customers who have been with them the longest.
