Lowes credit account
Ive had lowes credit accounts for almost 40 years. I paid off my latest card last year and closed it as I do all cards for security reasons.
I reapplied for a new on this year and got declined just about before I could finish typing.
What is the problem, is synchrony in some kind of financial trouble?
I know lowes has been in financial trouble for years!
Why would you decline a perfectly good customer and treat them like a deadbeat. I have had accounts along with my wife for years as I repeat.
Oh well, here is where the offensivness stops! As soon as I pay off one other card with you guys on anpother company I am through forever diing business with you or any of your affiliates!
I will make sure I let 10 others know about this and they let 100 know then 1000 and so on. Thank you for your discrimination. Ha.

They took out too much money out of my account
I made a payment on my Sam's Club card which had a balance of $103.27. My payment was $53.27 which would leave me a balance of $50. Synchrony Bank took out two payments. One for $103.27 and the one that I made of $53.27. When I called them to complain, he said that we cannot give you your money back because they don't have it set up there where they could just put my money back into my account. I said that you took it out so why can't you give it back to me the same way? He said call back on the 23rd of April and they will send a check to me overnight but I have to call on that day for it to be issued. I called them on Monday, April 18th and they took the money on the 16th. I tried talking to a manager but it got even more complicated. The associate that I was talking to pretended to be the manager but I recognized his voice right away and told him that I would be filing a complaint.
Please be careful when getting a card from Synchrony Bank. I will be more careful the next time and I will never get another card from Synchrony Bank and I told all my family and friends.
Desired outcome: I want my refund back.
Synchrony Credit cards closed for no reason
I opened up my accts between 2019 and 2020 and u closed all my accts at one time june 2021: old navy mickey shorrs value city furniture lowes care credit car credit truck car credit lenscrafters and all that i received was letters stating i was a credit risk without further info i had just paid off my accts early totalling 15000 never late not once.. that mean i was a very good borrower.. ive tried several times to get preapproved and i keep getting letters back stating my accts were recently closed.. i would love to have a better explanation of what happened and when am i allowed to apply to be approved
Amazon and Lowes Credit card
Accounts closed for no reason. This will negatively impact my credit score. No missed payments, Lowes card had zero balance.

An old and closed account
Your bank states that I have had in the last 7 years an account where I owe you 325 from an amazon credit card. I haven't had an Amazon credit card in 8-10 years. Please remove it as I did not have any credit cards with Amazon that were unpaid. The credit card I had was from a different company and that was paid in full. Please give me the credit card information, including the original date opened, the original credit limit, the highest balance, and the date you closed the account for non-payment.

My credit card with a limit of $450 was closed after I paid it off…
Well, this seems a bit odd since I just paid this card off. I feel like after 2 years of Covid to have a low credit score is not terribly unheard of. Too bad that as things are looking up and credit cards are getting paid off, a company would choose to close a teeny baby credit card of a few hundred dollars. Nice way to run a company. Fortunately for me I just took a job paying 3 times what I make now and I just sold my home making quite a good profit. I will remember never to do business with you again and I will certainly tell everyone I know of the the bad business practices you have especially after I had a good record with you and just paid off my card.

Synchrony Bank/roto rooter
On march 22 2022, synchrony bank added $2100.54 interest because they said I haven't paid my balance in full. Because they said it was a promotion and if I don't pay it off in time, before the promotion ends, I have to start all over again. After we had the plumbing problem fixed, I got laid off from my job because of COVID-19, and they never sent me a letter warning me about the end of any promotion. I had got the balance down to $3100.00, and now the balance is back up to $5200.00 I guess the don't have to pay for utilities or food. They must get everything for nothing. I was pay every month on time. But I guess that didn't satisfy them.
Desired outcome: Just let me finish paying off the previous balance. I cannot afford to start all over again.
Ive been trying to pay on my account. Paid it thru my bank but has NOT been registered by Care Credit. It's been 4 days now. I have tried all 6 of the phone #'s I find on the Web site but cannot talk with a live person. Is this company so large that you can't talk? But if my payment is not registered by the 20th, they will charge me another late fee. Whats going on here?
Synchrony Bank Pandora
The customer service is the worst. They keep you on hold longer then the call and then hang up on you without completing the reason why you called. I guess it’s so you don’t get a chance to complete the survey because they know customer service and supervisors will get a bad rating. I was so ready because I never been treated like that before rude, unknowledgeable, poor communication, No phone etiquette and they don’t have, this is what I was told can’t see the last person name I was talking to (yes no trail) What good business does that just in case. The interest rate are ridiculous if you don’t pay off within 12 months. I got $303 dollars added to the amount I owe. I can’t wait to get rid of this
credit card. I do not recommend anyone to get this credit card from Synchrony Bank it’s the worst, down to the customer service and supervisors. Trust me!
They closed my account in good standing without ANY notice
The crooks at Synchrony Bank just closed my B&H Photo Video store card without ANY notice. It had $0 balance and it was always paid well ahead of the due date. No letter, no e-mail, no phone call. They just closed it. I found out about it through my credit monitoring co. I have a Verizon Visa in the mail from Synchrony. Too bad I did not know that card was issued by Synchrony, because I would have never applied for it. I will cancel it as soon as it arrives in the mail. F Synchrony! My credit score is 817 and I don't really need their crappy card. I hope they go under soon. This behavior is unacceptable! I have already filed multiple complaints about this with several government regulatory bodies. This "bank" needs to be shut down. They only want to generate interest and late fees. This is not a legitimate bank.

Trying to resolve credit card denial
As a a BP visa credit card holder since 2009, I and my wife were surprised at recent denials. We used other credit cards. Trying to find out why today was a gruesome, hellish exercise. Call #1, connected with woman who had barely understandable English and gave her all the info. she requested. Then she told me to hang up and I'd get a voice message with a code and it would be sent to cell number also. Got 5 digit code on landline, nothing on cell. I called back and this time despite using keys and voice multiple times, the automated system couldn't record my data. I called a third time and went through the whole routine again and I then was told I'd get a message with a website to use for verification. Synchrony bank wanted me to: create a 5 second video of myself, take pictures of both sides of credit card etc. (a 5 step process!) and send to website... Despite 4 calls and using two phone numbers, I still have no idea why the BP Visa card was denied. We never carry a balance and pay promptly. I am not one of Synchrony bank's masochistic customers. So, I will cease to use their card. No other CC issuer puts so many landmines and hurdles in front of good customers. On a 5 star rating system they earned minus 3 stars today. 3 steps below terrible!
Desired outcome: Maybe forewarn Synchrony bank CC customers to have at least one other major card from an issuer who actually cares about their customers. An apology would be appreciated but I'm not holding my breath.
I have an 850 (exceptional) FICO score. I applied for a dental loan and was denied. To date I have received three responses for reasons the loan was denied: 1) because loan approved; 2) because loan approved; 3) based on our results after searching social security and other databases and "we are unable to confirm your identity: and, today (4) denied due to "Prior application submitted too recently." No loan was approved and no loan was recently submitted.
The incompetence and disarray of a financial institution of this size is beyond comprehension and demands regulators investigate this company. I am now forced to pay to have my credit reports overseen as I do not want this company to negatively affect my excellent credit rating. The overwhelming number of complaints filed online warrant this company be investigated.
Customer Service
I am the office manager for a construction company. My boss is the primary name on the commercial account. After 2 hours on hold, being re-directed to another long hold, then a video and photo verification, then directed again to start the process all over...on and on. Finally, my boss walked in and got on the phone. They tried to verify him by email (which he repeated 3 times) and the email never did go through. What has happened to customer service? Synchrony bank also sends one letter a week saying we have updated our information. This is because they ask us to update every time we sign in to view our account. Very frustrating!
Desired outcome: The company should put someone in charge of their customer service who has experience from perhaps a more professional company.

I've had this card since 1992. Explain to me why I have to 'register' my card at every login! I receive a statement by email and am invited to login and check my balance, and I can't even login. Even the registration doesn't work! I contacted your customer service, and they couldn't even check. I wanted to verify payment of my last balance. You're website is horrible. I'm going to pay off my balance, cancel your card and get another company gas credit card.

Do not use synchrony bank card with guitar center
I got a credit card from Synchrony because of Guitar Center. I made some purchases and paid in time for the first year and then I did not purchase anything for 13 months. Between that time my credit score went from good to excellent and instead of them giving me more credit they decided all of a sudden to lower my credit. That was reported to the credit bureaus and ended up lowering my credit score.
I called Synchrony asking them to review their un-called act against my credit score. I told them that if they feel like customers not buying is a way to measure the credit amount this should be mentioned when I first got the card and also before they do such act they should inform me, maybe warn me that I need to buy something. I only wanted them to bring my credit to what it was before and report the credit bureaus so that my credit score would go back.
It took them a month going up in their scales of decision and finally I got a message from Taylor Wiley (Corporate Specialist, Consumer Relations): "We understand that the lowering of your credit line might be upsetting or inconvenient for you, and we regret we had to take this action, especially since you are a valued customer. Our position remains the same. We regret any frustration this matter may have caused.
I would like to make it clear that this is not about the money or the points, this is about customer care. I took time to show them that I was frustrated with a decision and that they could review it to keep me as a customer. My credit with Synchrony was 5,000 and they lowered to 4,000. My overall credit with all my credit cards are more than 200,000 so 500 dollars makes no difference but I only want to give my business to people that care about it. Unfortunately I will have to stop buying from guitar center because it's their partner for financing. Hope that GC finds a bank that takes care of their customers as they do, then I can go back to them

Canceled card.
I opened a lowes pro card last summer to help build our deck. We set payments up on auto pay so it would never be late. Since our deck is rather large, I maxed the card. That made my credit score drop until balance was below 35%. I knew this coming into the account. But I knew it would go back up soon. I received a letter saying that even though my account was in good standings and I've never been late you were canceling my account because my score dropped. It dropped because of the balance on YOUR card and it was going back up as I paid . But you still canceled my card. why you felt the need to do a credit check on me again is beyond me without my permission. What you should have ask about was if you could extend more credit since I just received a 20k a year raise. But instead you lost a customer to any store you work with now.
Desired outcome: Leave my cards alone and do not ever run my credit without my written consent. Canceling my card will hurt my score more.
Closed accounts that were in good standing
I have never experienced something like this before. They closed 2 of my furniture accounts out of the blue, in perfect standing! I'm more than angry at this unprofessional action. I would gladly join a lawsuit against these crooks, snakes.

Credit card double billing
I reported a fraud charge to synchrony. They then immediately issued me another card. I pay my balance my balance in full every month. They transfered a supposed balance of over $500 to my new account. I have requested the statements from my old account several times. Now they are telling me they don't have any record of the old account. I am being told by them that I am able to access those statements from my old account online which I am not. I sthe issue to the BBB and they are now saying it's resolved. This issue has not been resolved and I'm pissed. This company is fraudulent and I will not deal with them anymore. I have paid so much extra money to this company to protect my credit score. I really don't know how these people can live with themselves cheating honest people out of their hard earned money.
Desired outcome: I want my statements from my old account prior to the new card that was issued due to a fraud charge. They refuse to produce them.
Amazon credit account
I have on multiple occasions made payments to my Amazon Credit account (Serviced by Synchrony Bank) well before my payment due date, only to find out the payment did not get processed in time, which I end up getting late fee. I recently switched to paperless billing and am now getting late fees for missing a payment. I missed the payment because I never received the bill in my email, just the notification of the missed payment, with a late payment fees due the next month. I get the feeling they do stuff like this on purpose to rake in the fees.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response / change in payment processing to a more timely & efficient system. And some sort of change in the paperless billing.
CB2 Credit Card
I have an 800 credit score and had a CB2 (Crate & Barrel) card. Not spending for a year lead to the card being canceled which I believe is a bit harsh as I have spent a lot of money at these stores.
Recently I planned to make a sizeable purchase and was 1) unable to reactivate my old card or 2) get an instant approval for my purchase.
I worked a few times with customer care and got zero help. All they could say is my request was denied and that I would receive a letter to explain everything.
'Your request was denied for the following reason(s):
Prior application submitted too recently' Is what I received on March 13th 2022 and it makes zero sense to me.
Why am I really being denied? The stores should be made aware this system is a broken cluster. This is why years have now gone by without any purchases and perhaps why others are no longer shopping. Reactivating or getting a new card should take a minute not span years of asking and be provided nonsensical reasons for why not.
Desired outcome: I would like the name and contact information of the person responsible for credit within Crate & Barrel, the decision-maker that selected Synchrony and the persons above her.
Synchrony bad business practices
I had 4 synchrony account limits lowered and then closed. One of the accounts they charged me almost 50% interest - it was a $1100.00 purchase and they charged me $412.00 interest and said promotional period had expired. When I probably purchased, it was a 24 month no interest, not 12 month no interest. They have completely obliterated my credit scores but lowering the limits, and then closing the accounts, and now charging interest on a purchase that still had 12 months remaining. They are awful - just awful! I have never ever made a late payment, have always paid double-triple minimum, have always used credit responsibly. Now my score has dropped over 135 points.
Citgo rewards credit card
I was charged $1185.25 for fraudulent charges on my Citgo Rewards credit card which occured in August of 2021. I reported this to customer services and an investigation was started with the 60 day window to complete the investigation.
I was never notified about irregular activity on my card by Synchrony Bank as is the practice of other credit cards.
It has now reached the 60 days without any resolution and the company has apparently not done the investigation or removed the fraudulent charges from my account.
The response of the investigation department has been confusing and not satisfactory. I see that there have been multiple complaints about the company with very few resolved.
I need to get the charges removed from my account and get this issue resolved. I appreciate any assistance.
Desired outcome: Removal of $593.32 from my account balance to and written proof that this has been done.
