I contacted support in June 2023 to get a refund on a subcription that had autorenewed for my business. I closed my business in December 2022, I explained evrything to 'customer support" and was denied a refund because I had not provided 28 day cancellation notice.
During that conversation it was noted I had a second subscription coming up for renewal on 8/27/23, and Teamviewer cancelled that subscription.
Here we are on 8/28/23 and my account has been charged $600 for a renewal on a subscription that THEY were supposed ot have cancelled in June.

Two days ago my TeamViewer stopped connecting to my client's computers.
I have called TeamViewer support multiple times only to be told this is a Spectrum Texas problem, which they vehemently deny - that it is a TeamViewer link that is broken. I have ruled out that there is nothing wrong with my internet, nor my router.
I rely on being able to use TeamViewer at my command - it is part of my livelihood. I am a sole proprietor - very small business and for TeamViewer to be down for any length of time is not cost effective for me.
Please escalate my problem and find a technician on your Support Team that may actually know how to repair this. I need results.

TeamViewer automatic renewal without prior warning or consent
I was automatically charged for TeamViewer renewal on the 25.01.2023 and have immediately contacted them. Without receiving any invoice prior to renewal I had no idea I was going to be charged. Invoice was send on the 26.01.2023 after the amount was charged.
I have filed a complaint and requested for return of funds. On few occasions I was given the excuse that I was suppose to email them 28 prior to automatic renewal. However there was no way for me to know that I was going to be charged for this as no email of warning has come true.
In my opinion I should be able to get a refund as I have contacted them immediately in the 26.01.2023, right after the amount was charged.
Please advise what I can do regarding this.

there has to be some consumer protection law against this! this is happening to me. the employee that set this up is no longer with our company as well, so no one was using TV for months, to add insult to injury!
Happened to me. TV would not budge. I complained to my credit card company and they refunded my money. Look into Connectwise Access. Much better. Much less expensive too. Good luck.
Unattended remote access to android phones dont work.
I signed up for teamviewer software in order to access a remote android phone . I was told that I needed a license even though I wasn't a commercial user.
I paid $89.00 and the software still didn't work. I was then told that I had to upgrade and I paid $644.00 for a license.
The software still didn't work. Unattended access simply doesnt work with this software. Someone has to be at the remote site to turn make sure the device is allowing access. I never connected unattended.
Customer service was horrible. No weekend support and each support technician I contacted didn't know how to solve my problem with accessing my remote android phone. (unattended).
I've wasted over $1,000.00 on this software and I still can't use the software. I had to purchase another phone which had Knox security because this is another untold requirement to connect two androids.
The software is horrible. Connection problems are continuous, customer support is a joke and its very expensive and yet doesn't deliver. I highly, highly, highly recommend that no one ever purchase this Sofware. It's simply a rip-off!

Forced Renewal and No Way of Cancelling
I contacted TeamViewer over a year ago to find out why our TeamViewer account was no working for commercial remote access of our employee computers, no response. I was wondering why the account said we didn't have a commercial license when we had paid hundreds of pounds already. I decided that the account must not of got renewed and opened a new one, and paid the minimum amount which we still use now. Today we got billed for hundreds of pounds for the old account (30 days before the expiry). I crossed checked the bill day for the year before and it was 27th November, today is the 27th October. The invoice came to an email address that we had, so I tried to sign in with that email account, no account by that email address! So this company can bill us for accounts that don't exist? I've tried contacting them, and the online ticket service just doesn't work. The phone rings out. This is fraud. If I did this to another person, I would be arrested for theft.

Wrong invoicing and forcing to make the payment
I had enquired about teamviewer quotation to purchase through our company. When our account team asked about available mode of payments, I asked to share the payment link. Normally post payment invoice should be generated and service should start. In this case they generated invoice and now forcing me to make the payment. These practices raise question on security. By using this product when we access customer network, how do we believe it is safe product? I had informed sales team that, We are unable to add you as vendor & unable to make purchase the service from India. Due to team viewer wrong process, now forcing me to make the payment & sent it to recovery team. I have not used the service for which payment is being asked. Now with this incident i never ever use teamviewer. Now recovery team giving a deadline to make payment by 5th November 2022

Billing and contractual issues for a "forced" renewal.
I received an invoice for renewal which had an invoice. I saw the amount of the invoice and determined that I did not want to pay that much for the service. When I called, the customer service representative told me I had should have received an earlier email that made it clear I had a 28 day window past which I am not allowed to cancel. I found this email, so yes, this language was in the body of the text, but not something anyone would act on since you would have no idea of the amount of money you were to be invoice for. This is a ridiculous business practice. Here is the text of the "notification" email:

I requested and I now have another email from them that cancels that contract, BUT I have to pay $659.88 for a service that is not worth the cost to me. Otherwise, non payment of my invoice will result in it being put "into collections."
I will never use this product again!

Unethical/Unauthorized renewal Billing Charges
On around Sept 28th 2022, we were made aware of billing charges and renewal of contract with no prior notification once we became aware of TeamViewer practices requested that the contract be cancelled at this point the customer service department has issued threats of sending our company to collection and also stated that they will not cancel our service and has quad triple price from in year 2021 @ $206 for year 2022 to $1200 plus although we are not utilizing their service any longer. Teamviewer also stated that request outside of the contractual which we never received and never signed off on we have requested several times of documentation of said contract which the refuse to provide. we were made aware on September 28th of this issues as stated above request cancellation.

We use team viewer commercially and pay for licenses. A few months ago one of the company directors working from home attempted to purchase a further license. The payment failed (no fault of ours) and so he didn't use the product. got a hold of someone on the phone. They invoice me saying they couldn't downgrade my subscription until the following year. They are not customer-friendly or customer service.
I am seeking information related to TeamViewer customers who had their subscription auto-renew and, at the same time, were locked out of the app during the renewal period. Feel free to contact me if this has happened to you.

Google a bit on all the different complaints boards, Reddit, even Teamviewer's own community board, how many people cannot cancel their subscriptions until they replace their credit cards

I am writing this formal complaint as I had notified a Teamviewer member over the phone that we no longer require the services.
The employee did not state that we needed to cancel 28 days prior to the next billing cycle or the fact that they would need a written notice to say we would like to cancel.
I tried contacting them numerous times and submitted a ticket waiting for their call.
I finally received a call to which I notified the employee that we no longer required their services. She did not mention any ongoing subscription or payment.
Few days later i received invoices stating we owe money for the subscription for next year.
I wrote back to them notifying that we already contacted someone to cancel and they are still hassling for payment even though we have not even logged on or used their services since the subscription ended.
Desired outcome: I would like that you cancel my subscrition immediately as I will not be using this service any longer even if they rectified the situation!!

We used the software twice to complete our project that week a year ago. This is because you had no other option for short term use. I called TV to get setup and was charged 198.00 over the phone to my cc. After I was emailed a receipt and I forwarded it to my client for reimbursement. At that point I was not aware as a condition of purchase, that "I" agreed to you keeping my cc then charging it without my approval a year later. I am an individual and have been charged nearly 400 u.s. for access two times a year ago. I do not work with this company or have access to them. I am not connected to anything and I do not have TEAM Viewer on my computer. I am getting nothing for this charge. I want my $198.00 back that was charged to my cc on 7/9/21. Sharp Practice on Debt collection
We use team viewer commercially and pay for licenses. A few months ago one of the company directors working from home attempted to purchase a further license. The payment failed (no fault of ours) and so he didn't use the product, but switched to something else.
3 months later TeamViewers debt collectors started chasing payment for an invoice that was raised at the time, but not accepted as the service was not provided.
Having talked to TeamViewer on their ticket system they are not backing down.
I suggest great care in dealing with TeamViewer it is a good product but their commercial attitude is appalling for a large German company.

I was using TeamViewer 8 Business . Later I changed it to Annual subscription plan by invoice number [protected] on 31st May 2021. My email id is [protected]@yahoo.com
I have not been able to use new teamviewer these days. When I go to activate my licence it says "The username and password you entered do not match any accounts on record"
When I click on "forgot password" and type my email id as "[protected]@yahoo.com" it says "Your request has been processed. You will receive an email with instructions for changing your password" but no mail comes.
I am also user of TeamViewer 11 Corporate. I have also changed it to annual subscription plan by invoice number [protected] on 12th May 2021. This was also on [protected]@yahoo.com but due to conflict of mail id, I changed it to later [protected]@kalasoftech.com. It is working
Please help me for activation of my business licence.

I started a trial version of a software called Teamviewer. It was a 7-day trial, but the software didn't work well and didn't allow me to log in at all. Which prevented me from being able to cancel or find a way to cancel. I finally was able to call and request to cancel the membership, but they refused and charged my credit card. I disputed the Credit Card payment. But now they are sending me harassment emails threatening to send the invoice to a collection.

Which solution would you be satisfied with?
Having the company stop harassing me about the bill. I never used the software nor am I interested in using it.
Also, they should be fined for business malpractice.

I called 5 times and been emailing them, but they insist that I missed the cancellation by one day, and now I have to pay for the full year.

Thank you for this information. Yes, I am filing a complaint too for the same reason. The invoice I got after I purchased it over the phone, was sent to my client for reimbursement. I did not look at the invoice or aware that I entered into a condition of purchase, to be charged again a year later. I did not approve they keep my cc or was told over the phone about the policy. I used the software twice a year ago. My project is completed with my client and no longer have access to their computer we purchased it for. I do not have TV on my computer and you're right, I never want anything to do with the business practices they are into. I do not have the product and yet they got nearly $400.00 for twice it was used last year. I have been emailing and calling and they keep saying too bad. My cc says is my fault for not canceling and is a policy they cannot get into. Well this cc is about to be cancelled as a result too.
