It was a prepaid connection
I have to make payment first only then do I get internet. Also if I used extra bytes, I will be charged for it.
Last year I took a very small amount plan just to keep it active. Since the services were poor, I did not renew it this year.
The billing department of Tikona Digital Networks is asking me to pay Rs 720. My question here is as per my experience, I cannot access internet even for a second, if I do not make payment. It is a prepaid connection. Then if I do not renew, they should not force me to renew and call me a defaulter just because I have not renewed the connection
Whenever I told the customer care to disconnect, they tried ways and means to keep it active. But I did not make payment because I wanted to discontinue.
I am asking them to send me the invoice. They are not sending me the invoice either. It is a funny experience that if you do not renew, you become a defaulter

I have raised a disconnection request on 17th June 2017. I was told my net will be disconnected in 15 days.
Reasons:
In between April-May 2017 my Ticket for poor network connection was open for 35 days without resolution
Tikona was down in April 2017 for 15 days
Tikona was down in May 2017 for 7 days
Tikona was down in June 2017 for more than 10 days
In the last 3 months with so many tickets open, not a single technician came to my house to check my problem
For connection, they process it within 24 hours, but for disconnection they take min 15 days...why ?
Overall i am a one year old customer with Tikona, in the last one year...Tikona was down for more than 70 days in last one year.
I have already more than 50 calls with Tikona executives which has caused me lot of mental harassment during the time when internet was not working.
Now for last 17 days i am getting calls every day from Tikona, asking reason why i want to disconnect, instead of prompt customer service they harass you giving excuses, trying to give you false promises & assurances - asking you to give them one more chance for providing service.
My question is when a person has decided to disconnect, why Tikona is not acting promptly...why so many calls and questions for disconnections..
Now on 07th July, they are saying they will take another 15 days for disconnection as there is technical process involved...
Also they are asking for 1 month rent for the service i have not used since 17th June. Such a fraud company, and more bad customer support...who torture their customers when they want to disconnect.
Every day you will get 5-6 sms for paying advance bill, when you have opted for disconnection.
Please help.

I have sent a written communication to this fraud company over a year to STOP the services after clearing all dues. Have the email for the same. However to the biggest shock of my life, they are still billing me. The icing on the cake, they are threatening me by the help of their goon recovery agents that they will drag me to court and send a summon etc.
I request the Consumer bodies to scrutinize the scrupulous actions of such fraud companies who exist just to suck the hard earned money of innocent consumers.
This mental harassment and trauma is unbearable and I am forced to write this review to protect the customers from this Fraud company

One of Tikona Engineer visited on 19th June afternoon, tried his luck for 2 hrs. After that he also gave up saying the speed is very slow and he is not able understand the issue.
While going he said that his Area Manager will come and resolve it on 20th June. Today is 21st June and till now no action has been taken on this.

I have taken 4 Mbps plan and I am not even able to surf internet. They are providing speed of hardly 0.4Mbps during peak hours. You can imagine how they are cheating their customers.
The reason is they are giving this connection from a Transmitter which is fitted in near by Society named Ambanagri Society Dhanori. This has got limited bandwidth. Hence only 6 to 7 Conection can me taken from there. But greedy Tikona has increased the customer base without increasing the Bandwidth. This is the main reason for fluctuation.
I have launched lot of complaints with respect to this speed fluctuations. They make temporary arrangements for 2 Days to increase the speed and after that again the issue remains same. It is very clear they are doing it intentionally.
Hope posting this complaint in this site will help me with a permanent solution to this. I am fed up of Tikona customer care. They are hopeless.

my humble request to the persons who are having a thought to avail the service of tikona.
Please don’t ever think about “tikona” network. They are the biggest fraudsters in india. Once you availed their services, you wont get the proper network. We need to phone them often and complain it. Every hour your you face the technical issue. It will disturb you mentally and affects your job. If you decide to disconnect the service, they will bully you to pay a fine of 3000rs or more by saying petty reasons.
Ways and means through which they will bully and extract money from you:
1) as per the companies terms and conditions: after your disconnection request, you will get the “full and final settlement” mail from tikona. You need to return the device within 7days by calling the person said in the mail id. If you failed to return the device on time, you need to pay whatever the amount(fine) they are going to charge you and if refused, you can be tried in the court of law under both civil and criminal cases. Why criminal case—- because that device can be used for terrorist operations too. This is where the tikona will legally trap you.
The device collection team will not collect the device and you have to phone them daily. But they will respond you properly only after a month. So now you are legally bound to pay the fine or penalty or you will be charged under the court of law.
2) first the local tikona person will call you to negotiate the penalty amount and to avoid a court case against you. We will be in a situation to accept the offer. They will charge you atleast 1000rs. When we accept to pay, within 2 hours the team will be there to collect the device and the amount in person.
The most important thing is they will not give you the receipt. They compromise you by telling that “ your actual penalty is 3000rs and you are paying only 1000rs. We will finish the problem in our own illegal way, don’t worry, your problem is over”. So here after they will stop bullying you.
3) even after paying the penalty, we keep on receiving the mails from tikona asking us to pay them the penalty amount of around 3000rs. When we inquire about it from the customer care, they will say “you no need to pay any penalty amount and don’t bother about the mail, the fault is on our side, we did not collect the device on time. Also don’t give the money when you return the device and no problem will arise against you”. We will be shocked on hearing that and nothing can be done thereafter because we don’t have any receipt for the money paid. Then we will console ourselves.
4) but the problem doesn’t ends here. After 1 year from the date of returning the device, a man or woman from tikona will call you and introduce him/herself as “tikona lawyer” from mumbai or delhi highcourt and ask you to pay the amount of 3000rs or more as penalty for not returning the device on time (within 7days). He/she will shout at you and threatens you to pay the money immediately by saying “civil and criminal cases will be filed against you and you need to arrive at the mumbai or delhi highcourt with your lawyer to defend yourself within a week”. We will be mentally tortured by him/her. He/she wont give us a minute to explain our pathetic situation and all he/she need is “money” from us. He/she will hardly give us 1 hour to decide to pay the amount. If you are a weak hearted person, you will be definitely collapsed by his/her rude behavior and accept to his/her offer to pay the money to avoid legal charges. Then under their advisory, we will pay the money through “tikona online bill payment” and finally we will get the receipt of paying the penalty. If you are a strong hearted person and deny them, he/she will keep on bullying you from time to time and give you mental torture.
Even if you pay the penalty amount, your “name” attached to your “tikona id” will not be erased. Even after 1 year from the date of payment of “new penalty” if you enter the tikona id in tikona online bill payment option, it will show your name and welcomes you to pay the payment. Again we will be shocked. Still we will not have a clarity that whether our account has been permanently closed or not. Anytime the so called “tikona lawyer” may resurrect.
5) the funniest part is, that so called “tikona lawyer” will be a “tikona fraudster” disguised as lawyer and gives us merely a life threat by torturing us in many illegal ways.
Conclusion: availing “tikona service” is equal to availing the “room service at hell”. You will have many network issues, mentally tortured, depressed and even try to attack others to quench your angry on tikona.
No coordination between the customer care, technical team, device collection team. Everyone idiotically blames one another and says we function as separate units. Whenever you phone them, we need to explain our problem from the root to every team and it will be taken as a fresh issue.
Normally customers believe tikona. But tikona believes money and they will go to any extent they want to extract money from the customers forcefully and illegally.
Important thing: tikona has two(2) face.
1st face will be good to the customers who live in the it hub areas. They don’t want to loose that huge market by using the illegal ways. Also they will provide good network and customer care to them.
2nd face will be rude to the customers who live in the non it areas. They will do many illegal things to extract money from them. They provide bad network and customer care to them.
So don’t ever believe the positive reviews of tikona. Because they are mostly wrote by the it people. Actually don’t even believe the name””tikona””

I've been with Tikona broadband for nearly two years now. I've always had consistant speeds and good latency. They have been far more reliable than any other ISP's I've been with and when I recently had a problem with poor connection speeds they responded to my complaint very quickly. First class communication and all too happy to help attitude really makes a difference. Far better than others who only take action when you threaten to leave! The FUP limits are very good too and its easy to swap and changed from one plan to another. So, overall a very good and reliable Internet service..

I have been using tikona for more than 1 year now. But for the last 3 months they have irritated and frustrated me completely. I am not getting signal for even 5 hours at a time, even if there is signal, speed is so pathetic that even a single web page takes forever to load.In last 3 months I have registered at least 20 complaints with their customer "care", but to no avail.Every time their representative wastes my time by repeating the same 4-5 guidlines mentioned in their "quick solution handbook"! "Restart router, disconnect and reconnect ur rooftop device etc etc". I am tired of telling them that nothing of this sort works.Even asking them to send an engineer is a headache, they will try to teach you every damn trick in networking before they agree to do so. What is even worse is, after somehow they appoint an engineer for visit, the engineer himself disappears, won't call. Now they have a new excuse for unavailability of signal for last 1 month-"some problem from backend"! I just want to ask Tikona, what kind of incapable, unprofessional staff do you have that they have not been able to solve "some problem from backend" in 1 whole month? Or rather 3 months? And why dont you have another way to solve your customers issues and provide them the service they are paying you from their hard earned money? And lastly, they are not even disconnecting the service, when after getting tired of banging my head with their customer care, I asked them to! I had filed a request for service disconnection around 30/12/2015. But even after more than a week they have not made any move to do so, even though I was assured that I will recieve a call within 24 hours for confirmation! I am truly tired of Tikona! I dont have any solution left!

Mental Harassment / Cheating and not refunding the amount (illegal billing)
User ID: [protected] Tikona has been harassing me since July 2015. I had requested multiple request for disconnection of my service due to their faulty and cheating service. However they were not doing so till the day I had made a police complaint against harassment and lodged a complaint with Akosha for a legal case. However post that they have not yet generated full and final settlement. It had hardly used the internet for 1.5 months for which I paid 2850/- in advance. I had requested for a closure connection on 4th July 2015. Now they tell me the refund amount is Rs. -345/-. They have billed me tilled 22nd August 2015 where as I had removed the connection from my machine since July 2015. According to me my claim has to be above Rs 1000/- as out of 3 months I haven't used the connection for 1.5 months. I remember their technicians share some other customers User ID and Password initially they do all the data logging in the system. For 2 days I was using some others user id. I have sent multiple mails to Tikona team the count is 48 emails and 23 call records. As soon as I tell them I am recording call they disconnect the call. This means you are cheating people. I am mad person for sure for such companies and I am filling a legal court case against Tikona for all he pain/fraud/cheating/misbehaviour / mental agony / harassment. The claim in court would be for Rs. 2850/- paid to you + Mental Harassment Claim Rs. 50000/- + Cost to me for all calls and communication Rs. 4000/- + Cost bourned by me for the legal procedure along with travelling allowance. You take people too lightly it will cost you this time for sure.

I have subscribed to tiokna internet connection, 4MBPS plan (user id [protected]). The funny thing here is since the day I got the connection the maximum speed I'm getting is 0.02 MBPS! Like any other customer, I called their customer care and raised a complaint. I was promised that the issue will get resolved within 24 hours. Its been a week and no action...

I have used Tikona internet service for over 1 year. Like most people, I searched around for the best internet plan and also called up many ISP provider to ask details about their plans and offer. Before deciding which service to choose I came across the tikona ISP, many of my friends have this connection at their place as per their view tikona has good plans and customer support team... But I had read many negative reviews about tikona, still I took a risk and decided to go with tikona. Best thing what I liked is after calling their customer service they told that they'll give me demo after which I can decide whether I wish to get their service or not. The tech support who visited my premises was very helpful and knowledgeable for which I think tikona simply wins hands-down for their awesome customer service & support! They really have a great bunch of people who are friendly, helpful and really know their stuff, I am using 4mbps plan which is excellent I whole-heartedly recommend tikona to anyone looking for reliable internet service with great customer service.
Also the payment structure is very good and refund process is quite easy.
The service they have provided me is perfect; however they have successfully delivered a very quick and stable line. To anyone who is thinking which ISP to go for.. I will highly recommend Tikona wifi...

I had subscribed to Tikona service from 31-01-2015 by paying 3371/- as subscription amount for 2 months advance inclusive of 500/- security(Security had to be paid back by Tikona once I terminated the connection). The mode of payment was advance every month and the chosen plan was 1250/- per month with 4mbps speed.
Citing poor services provided by Tikona i.e. most of the time their towers were down, I decided to disconnect the connection on 05-May-2015 so that I shouldn't be charged for the next billing cycle(their billing cycle is from 07th of current month - 06th of next month) and placed request through customer care by calling them.
Got a mail from them on 04-Jun-2015 citing that services have been terminated and their delivery boy took the installed infrastructure from my place and gave me a written copy of the same.
On 18-Jun-2015, I get a Full and Final Settlement mail from them that my due amount is 0.0, but suddenly on 10-Jul-2015, I get a bill of 1470.56 for the cycle (07-Jun-2015 to 06-Jul-2015). Now question that arises here is that:
1. When mode of payment is advance every month and I had paid in advance for cycle (07-Apr-2015 to 06-May-2015) and placed disconnection request on 05-May-2015, then, why should the bill be generated?
2. After termination confirmation in mail on 04-Jun-2015 and hardware taken from my place on 05-Jun-2015, how come they send bill on 10-Jul-2015? When I don't have Tikona devices installed at my place, how can I use the internet on Tikona Network(which I never did since I placed disconnection request on 05-May-2015)?
3. Out of no where. later in July end or august start, I get a notice from their legal team asking to pay the due amount. I again drop them a mail asking to resolve the issue and they again send a confirmation on 15-Aug-2015 that the amount due is 0.0
4. On 07-Sep-2015, these guys again drop a message asking to pay overdue amount and mention a number in the message. I call that number and that number comes out be a guy from Delhi court. I discuss with him and he explains that my amount is due and he will have to send a legal notice. Now, I again call Tikona care and they say your overdue amount is 0.0.
5. I used services from 31-01-2015 till 05-May-2015 that comes out to be 7 days till 06-Feb-2015 and 3 subsequent billing cycles starting 07-Feb-2015 ending 06-May-2015. Even If we apply mathematics, I have paid them Rs 5092.45(including installation charges) as bill amount for whole period which should have been 1404.5*3= 4213.5+installation charges+ amount for 7 days calculated on pro rata basis. Still I have paid more amount than required and even then that are asking for dues for the period for which I didn't have the hardware installed.
I don't understand:
1. If Tikona has defaulted systems in place which can't keep track of the paid bills?
2. Why they keep harassing the customer when everything has been settled in advance and I have written proof citing the same?
Also, I have written to them asking for the Rs 500/- refund amount and for the past one month I am not getting any reply from them. Multiple reminders have been sent but still no reply from them.
My sincere request to Tikona team is that Please resolve the issue at the earliest and close the matter or I will have no option left other than filling a case in Consumer Court. I don't want to waste my time doing so. So, it's my sincere request to please act appropriately and do the needful.

I'm not as surprised as a few of the others that have given tikona Broadband a good review, that their service is hated so much by reviewers. There are many options out there but I enjoy working with tikona. Tikona may not have the best infrastructure and customer service availability as time Warner but the cost is the real value at tikona and I appreciate having a local tikona broadband than other service provider that is expensive and if you are irritated by connectivity issue every day … I definitely would recommend you tikona wifi service plan...
I have chosen a basic unlimited plan with all the basic high speed (download up to 2mpbs and wifi modem). Previously was paying a double the amount which I’m paying now for my previous Isp. As for reliability, I haven't had a problem with any outages since turning on service in the 6month. So if you’re tight on cash but not willing to give up ur current ISP to save some cash every month, tikona is a great choice.
Good Service, Speeds and Support
Very surprised at all the negative comments because in 1 years I have never had any major problem as such with tikona Wifi...Was with hathyway before and Sify before that, If you can afford it for your level of usage and want a reliable service it is definitely worth it. Recently I had a fault with my line a few months ago and it was fixed very quickly and efficiently. When you email support you get a response from someone who knows what they are doing and it's quick. You get what you pay; maybe I got a bit lucky judging by the other reviews here. From my own experience, however, I would definitely recommend tikona to my friends :)

I have sent a mail to tikona customer care last month on 26 May 2015 to disconnect their services even I have asked them when they had tried to reach me on my cellphone but they have not disconnected and they have sent me a bill of this month when I dropped a mail for explanation I received a call from them saying that I need to pay for this month and they are not going to disconnect until I pay the amount for this month they also mentioned that they tried to reach me last month for the same and I was not reachable in that case a professional would have dropped a mail to clarify and so also whenever they have called I had asked for disconnection this clearly shows us that this is a policy and truly a trick to make money.
I have not been using their services since 28th May 2015 after I requested for disconnection.

I am recharge my connection dated 12th February 2015, And 28th February 2015 tikona company declared my location as a non physical location. Tikona inactive my account due to non physical location.
After 5 days company reinstall new device at new location and customer care telling me we are not provide any engineer for any technical Issue facing in future. So I am not ready for continued with the company. Second day I am submitted all device CPE to tikona company’s executive and send scan copy to the company. After that company reactive my account for using service.
I am already send email to customer care and Appellate Authority Mr. Jaykrishnan Nair. Dated 17th March 2015. At 20th March 2015 I got call from Mr J Nair Desk regarding the Issues. And he was committed for email refund amount email within 72 hours. But till date I am not receive any call or email from tikona company.

I have purchased the monthly 849 plan and paid 3months advance. The supposedly speed I should get is 1mbps secondary speed which is promised by engineer who came to my doorstep. I understand the contention ratio but I'm getting 200 Kbps which is far far below from my imagination in this internet age.
I have complained thousand times in tikona but they refuse to do anything even they do not acknowledge. They keep transferring my calls to tech dept and back to customer care and keep blaming each other.
But every day i have to do complain regarding this speed issue that its running below 200 to 156 kbps speed instead of 1 Mbps all the time not even for an hour.
please return my money & take back your line.
otherwise i have to go for consumer court & complaint to telecom regulatory govt dept .

Tikona uninstallment issues, harassment calls
I have been using tikona wireless broadband since 24th april ( Cust.id.- [protected] ). My selected monthly scheme was the 4mbps, 1600rs/month plan. the connection worked more or less alright for the first 2-3 days after which i starting getting speed and disconnection problems. the ensuing 3 months have been really pathetic and frustrating. The company engineer might have visited 5-6 times trying to address the technical issues with the connection, guaranteeing that the problem was resolved. Needless to say that problem never got resolved. After realising that the problem will never go, i decided to discontinue the service and filed for the disconnection during july 2nd week. Now the billing cycle starts 15th of each month and i have paid in full for this dissatisfactory service up till july 15th. I switched of the router after that (i did this on advice from their executive itself, who had come to collect a previous due amount, on or before july 15th ). It is 30th july today and regardless of my having called them up for disconnection 3-4 times they have not yet uninstalled their equipment from my residence. On top of this harassment and mental torture from their side, i received a call from tikona today asking me to pay another 770/- rs for the last 15 days ( for usage after 15th july ) after which they will uninstall their device.Now I had not been using their service for the last 15 days and i had filed for disconnection before 15th july and i reminded them about this fact. I was then threatened that the company will send me a legal notice if i failed to pay this amount. The company is running on terms and conditions that are not properly dictated to the customer. They are asking for money for a service that i have not been using. I am a post graduate student and the internet is one my primary resources for education, entertainment, etc, so it has been a nightmare using this service for the past 3 months and so after being mentally tortured and harrased, they are trying to extort money from me.

Recent complaint no- 1-[protected].
From more than 6 months i am using this worthless broadband connection. Many complaints are raised. 16 to 17 modem devices are changed till now saying that the device is roaming. Per day, i will get connectivity for 30 mins max.. (i am lucky right) ..that too not continuous connectivity. I got frustrated many a times. Raised disconnection request also. No one cares it. So, no one from tikona attends it.
Tikona, see this issue if you can or disconnect my connection.
I got my Tikona broadband connection just one month back, i.e., on 27th June 2017 in Greenfields Colony, Faridabad, Haryana. I got the 210 GB Plan with 4 mbps Primary Download Speed and 1 mbps Secondary Download Speed beyond 210 GB. Monthly charges for this plan is Rs. 1700/- plus Service Charge, total comes to Rs. 1938/- per month. I paid Rs. 4500-/ in advance. In this one month, Tikona miserably failed to deliver even 1 mbps download speed constantly for 1 hour. Sometimes it is less than 512 kbps. Everytime I called their customer care I was told that the defect will be rectified within next 24 hours. Sometimes I had to call twice or thrice a day to lodge complaint - either for no connectivity issue or browsing speed issue but all in vain. On 23rd and 24th of this month, I was told that the roof-top device they installed is defective and the same will be replaced and that’s all. Nobody came, neither to replace the same nor to check it whether it is really faulty or otherwise. I know that I’ve done a blunder mistake by paying them Rs. 4, 500/- in advance but how could I guess.
If Tikona people are watching this page, I would like to request them to please rectify the fault without further delay and consider start of the plan/payment date only after that. This period can be considered as trial period.

I take a tikona connection on 11.11.2017
I am unable to use the tikona network on the following
days.
11.01.2017 to 19.01.2017, 02.03.2017
to 11.03.2017, 16.03.2017 to 19.03.2017 and after 01.04.2017
And many more days
I faced the problem.
I send a mail to stop my connection on 12.04.2017.
C/ care personnel call me and assured me about uninterrupted
service by solving the technical issue & also assured no need to pay the
old bill for which I am unable to use the net .
That’s why I agreed to continue the
network if the service will be uninterrupted & no need to take alternate
connection. They told that the waiver to be given up to Rs 600 & I prefer
disconnection.
I received the final
bill of Rs 1546 on 10.05.2017 after 18.00 hrs.
I contacted customer care people on 11.05.2017 regarding the
final bill, she tell that the disconnection request made on 21.04.2017, and the
bill to be paid up to 15.05.2017.
Actually the request made by me on 12.04.2017 through email. The auto
reply ref is 1-[protected].
After 01.04.2017 i am not using the
net. I tested the net on 27.04.14 to 29.04.2017 (approx) on the basis of
request made by the technical persons. The technical persons also failed to
solve the problem. They changed the modem & modem direction, after that
they succeeded. The technical persons told that the signal is 25%, but the speed is ok . One month advance
Rs 670/- is also lying with them.
Can somebody help me how to resolve the issue.

Internet not working even after raising so many complaints
Even after raising lots of complaint against Tikona, my problem didnt consider. I have lots of
connection correction request too, but Tikona is never able to provide a single day with average
service even. My list of complaints in the month of june 2013 and july 2013 are as follows:-

Rajesh ithape-senior didnt respond, he said he will callback because busy right now, but i didnt

I talked to Pradeep on 9Jul2013, the call got disconnected inbetween and no one response back. I had
to call again. I look like pradeep could not resolve the issue so he disconnected the call.
I also talked to Tushaar on the same day, he was very genuine and nice person, talked nicely and tried
to resolve my issue at his best. But after 2 days it again stopped working.
