Town Fair Tire Centers Tires

I had my tires replaced in March 2019 as they were noted bad during my vehicle inspection. During inspection in June 2020 (Delayed due to COVID) was told I had 2 bald tires. Took vehicle to town fair tires and they agreed. I drive on studs 4 months of the year so in essence the tires have been on my vehicle for only 12 months. The tires are rated for 40, 000 miles and I didn't even get 12, 000 on them. I asked if they inspected them in March 2020 when they reinstalled and they said yes. At first he said the tires wore because I didn't rotate and balance them. I showed him receipts of both. The gentleman then said the car had 150, 000 on it on 26 Mar 2020, on 8 June I have 163, 000. He stated I've driven 13, 000 miles in two months and there was nothing he can do. This is NOT possible as I had 158, 526 on the car when I renewed my registration on 7 Mar 2020. Yet his ‘records' show 150, 000 on 26 March. Again NOT possible for me to go backwards during the month or March nor is it remotely possible for me to drive 13, 000 miles in 2 months. Mind you the entire US was under this COVID quarantine and no one was traveling anywhere. Shenanigans at the Biddeford, Maine Town Fair Tire store. I've been a very loyal customer for almost 20 years and can't believe I got the treatment I got today by anybody.

Town Fair Tire Centers multiple

This will be the last time I shop there. Had them put 4 new tires on. Told them lettering on the inside. Truck came out with 2 tires with lettering on the outside and my sensor was Broken. I was told I would have to come back because it was nearing end of day.

Brought it back for my 5k rotation and told them to fix sensor and put all lettering to the inside. Truck came out, sensor was fixed, but now all lettering was to the outside. Told it would be another 45 minutes. I said screw it I'll deal with it.

Just had another rotation done and said there was a wrong sized lug nut on one of the tires that stripped the stud. Asked if the tires had been taken off since last visit. I said yes there was some brake work done. " the mechanic must of put on wrong lug nut" I was told. Hmm, that would be me. One car and no extra lug nuts just laying about. Plus the fact that I'd need a larger socket to do such and I would of remembered. Think they screwed it up and trying to pass the buck.

If I could give them negative stars I would. With an appointment, my car wasn't taken back into the shop until after I was already sitting for an hour. All I needed was a tire rotation and they insisted on an alignment. 2 hours and 45 minutes later, my car was done. The moment I left the parking lot, my tire indicator light went on. I returned within a week...

Town Fair Tire Centers customer service

While service you receive at individual locations may vary, the customer service you receive from the ownership/management at the top is just pathetically poor. These idiots advertise a credit card rebate program on their website that's tied to their branded credit card. The problem is, the application on their website is for their old card, with a different bank, that's not tied into the rebate. This isn't mentioned. When you get to the store, you THEN find out you received the WRONG card, and now have to apply to a new one to get the rebate causing a ding to your credit. To top it all off, management obsolves themselves of responsibility and tries to blame others. Just a poor company to do business with

Appointment times are not kept so when I came the day before they didn't clearly explain the significance or purpose of an appointment and told me I could walk in. Brought my car in for a rotation and told it would be a 2 hour wait. After waiting for over two hours they told me my car would be next. A half an hour after, they told me my car was done and...

Town Fair Tire Centers michelin wear warranty

I use the Town Fair Store in Avon CT. I have a 2016 leased Ford C-Max that came with Michelin tires. At 23000 miles the tires are at 2/32". I brought the car to them and they entered a claim with Michelin. The result was Michelin will replace the tires at 40% of the retail cost (plus mounting/balancing and such). The store ordered the tires and now tell me that I have to pay 100% of the retail cost and that Michelin will reimburse me. I read the Michelin dealer procedures on line and found that the dealer is supposed to charge only based on the adjustment. Michelin service called the store and were told that they do not honor the policy if the tires were not bought there.

Michelin Customer service was great and we have found another dealer who will honor the Michelin policy. I have been a long time customer of Town Fair but no longer.

Town Fair Tire Centers damage to my rims

I had an appointment to have my tires balanced, rotated in a front in alignment on Friday. I left the car to return when it was completed. They were supposed to call me upon completion but never did. I returned early afternoon to pick up my car to find the rim having large necks and pics. I am mediately contacted the manager assistant manager and service manager. They said that they would have to look at the video tapes to see if anyone caused this damage. I explained that the rim did not have any damage when I drop the car off. They drop my cost for his balance owed instead of replacing my rim! Very unsatisfied with this service.

Town Fair Tire Centers quality control & safety... there is none!!

Spent 2 days and 6 hours of my life getting a flat replaced with 2 new tires and bent rim replaced with two new rims.
Inept and simply pathetic performance, if I did not perform my own quality control I could very well be dead today... Placed bent cracked rim on my vehicle and sent me on my way.. They even dented up my vehicle during the last of 3 times it was in thier garage and still my tires and rims were not correct.
Employess kept telling me that they understood my frustration, to which I said, "really, I can not understand any of this insanity, how you can you?"
"how can we make you happy or make this right?"..
Like my displeasure and total frustration was occurring because I am a unhappy person or my choice or fault!
What was my fault was going to a town fair "tire" branch for tires.. How irresponsible of me!

Town Fair Tire Centers worst customer service!!!

I can't even emphasize how horrible town Fair Tire company is! The customer service you get is a JOKE! I was given 3 different quotes not to mention I purchased tires a year ago and had to replace 2 of them again after being told I didn't have them rotated enough which wasn't true! They broke my stud and said "call this place and we will take care of the cost" which is great but they're open Monday through Friday. I work an hour away Monday through Friday. I called Town Fire Tire and was told by Rich or Rick who was totally arrogant "you can find a place that's open" or "do it when you don't have your kids". I asked to speak to someone else when he kept saying "no I'm in charge and the highest boss" I find that hard to believe and if that's the case they hire anything! If you want to replace tires every year or have your studs broken go to Town Fire Tire!

Town Fair Tire Centers guaranty

Not once but on two separate occasions out of 3 overall visits I have had an issue with the guarantees offered by town fair tire. First issue was purchased price for a set set of tires that I had put on my wife's vehicle. I found them $100.00 cheaper and brought all information in and was denied refund at first I argued and argued and found another set at a different location from the first even cheaper before he finally gave the price match guarantee. The second occasion was when I brought one of my other vehicles in for a flare tire repair. Town fair states they will repair flates on any vehicle owned by a customer for free if the they have purchased tires for any of there vehicles. They pulled tire from vehicle and I'm not sure if the tech was just being lazy and didn't want to do the work or what because they came out and feed me a bunch of crap and said they couldn't patch it just because I had 8ply tires instead of a (recommended) 10ply on a 3/4 regular cab pickup that basically sits in the door yard waiting for snow to plow. It's a recommendation not a must. As the owner of the vehicle I can run whatever I want for tires within reason on it and even the law book states it aswell. Needless to say I was aggravated and I left with a half flare tire after I had asked if they could at least put air in it for me to get it home in which they said yes and didn't do so. Guarantees and warranty arnt worth anything if there not backed up. Shouldn't have to argue to have it acknowledged.

Town Fair Tire Centers service

On 11/14 I visited the Auburn Maine location to simply have snow tires mounted and balance on my vehicle. When I asked to have them mounted and balanced I was told I have to get an alignment or they wont handle well in snow for 99. After speaking with my husband and a mechanic I called back and said I do not need an alignment and the same lady was more then happy to cross it off the list saying it was just a suggestion (not at all when I was in there). I picked it up that afternoon and paid about 45.00 for service 2 days later my husband was going to retorque for safety and found that 5 lugs were completely mangled and stripped. After not being able to get through on phone my husband went down to the location. At first they said "your wife never came here we never helped her" after seeing receipt the guy went out and looked at them. He stood up and said "we are not liable and you can't do anything about it. Those are recalled lug nuts and Toyota is under a lawsuit for those." When my husband said recall or not your service dept ruined these he walked off. When asked his name he looked at my husband waived and walked off without answering question. He was very rude and unfortunately for him my husband can read and his shirt said Robert. We went straight to Toyota there are no lawsuits... no recalls... same lugs are still being used and they were more then happy to help us get the mangled ones off and we had to purchase 5 new lugs. I have never been so disappointed and will NEVER buy another tire off your company. Mistakes happen but the lack of customer service and sneaky moves of the staff at your Auburn Maine location is the worst I have ever seen out of any company. I hope something is done so future customers do not deal with what we unfortunately had to.

Town Fair Tire Centers service

For many years I have bought my tires at you Augusta location. So for my truck, I did nothing different. My last tires came from this very same center. So on 8/22/17 I bought tires and waited. They came out to tell me they were unable to remove the bolts from my center caps. So I had no other choice but to allow them to break them to remove them. How this happened was beyond me. So I went home and began to try to remove the boltss left in my wheels. The centers we're rounded out of the bolts because they used a impact wrench trying to remove them. And with road salt, the power wrench didn't have the power needed to remove them. I sprayed some WD40 on it... Waited a minute, they came right out. All the money spent at your store, nothing was put on these screws when installed knowing road salt is a way of life here in Maine. And with the bolts being installed with a impact wrench, and no real attempt was made to remove them nothing else could be expected. It cost me over $100 to replace the center caps that were more easily broken. When it costs almost $800 for tires, the last thing I want to do was spend another $100 on center caps. I hope for the next buyer, you will consider making policy changes to prevent this from happening again. I will spread the word about the need to know how your tires are installed at this location.

Town Fair Tire Centers visa prepaid card

We purchased tires from town fair tire center in Rutland VT and were told we would receive a $70 rebate. We filled out the paperwork and sent in the form and never received the card. After 2 calls we finally received the card, but when we went to activate it, it had expired. This seems like a scam. Why would a rebate you were entitled to expire? Either give a rebate or don't give a rebate, but the expiration is ridiculous.

Town Fair Tire Centers customer service, business practice

My husband and I went to Town Fair Tire in Hanover, Ma last week (2/1/18) to get a new tire. Unfortunately the last time I needed a tire replaced I went toTown Fair Tire and my spare/donut was never put back into my car. Of course we discovered this when we tried to change the flat. We had to leave the car jacked up in a snowbank on the side of the road and bring the flat tire/rim into the store to have a new tire put on. There was a tractor trailer truck backed into the only entrance of the store. As my husband walked into the store he was hit by flying tire that was aggressively thrown/rolled from the interior of the truck(all the way inside the truck, near the cab). There was an employee standing inside the store whose job (I assume) was to catch the tire flying out of the back of the truck. He apologized and asked my husband if he was ok. The employee who threw the tire began yelling at my husband that it was his fault he was hit and that he ignored all the warning signs. I went back outside and there was a caution sign on the doors to the back of the truck that was unremarkable enough that we did not see it. There was no employee watching for unknowing pedestrians coming into the store. The sidewalk was not blocked off in any way. There was no caution tape. The other employees inside the store also blamed my husband for being hit by a flying tire. We were upset, understandably so, and words were exchanged. We were then denied service by the employee behind the counter. We had to go to the Town Fair Tire in Plymouth (unfortunately no one else had my tire in stock and we needed it right away). No issues there. I called the corporate offices and was told by Rich that this was NOT the first time an innocent customer was hit by a tire being offloaded from a truck. When asked why their trucks are offloaded this way Rich stated it was for "employee efficiency". That explains it-money is more important to Town Fair Tire than customer safety! I'm still waiting for a call back from Rich.
