Support of Wokeism
I will no longer be shopping at this company. My family and I spend a good amount of cash in this place. I can not associate myself with the wokeism that this place has shown. It is highly offensive and disgusting. Whoever had the idea to do something like that video and put your company in public like this needs some mental health rehabilitation. This is not normal nor will it ever be. This is so appalling that people think it's ok. Probably the biggest mistake you could have made. This will hopefully cost you billions and I hope you this company collapses. You should be so embarrassed.

Hair Apponintment
I scheduled a Hair Appointment with the Collierville location on 10/14/2022. The employee said that should we schedule me with the girl who specializes in textured hair. Not to mention, she is the only girl who has experience with textured hair. The girl told me my appointment was scheduled for 10/21/2022 at 4PM. I took off early from work to have this hair appointment where I would be getting highlights and a style. Fast forward to 10/21/2022, I go into the location to check in to get my hair done and the service manager tells me my hair appointment was not showing up. So, she tells me she would call the different locations to see if they have any appointments for today. She asks me about tomorrow, but I have a wedding to go to. So, this situation left me feeling like why am I being inconvenienced by their mistake. I try to talk to the general manager and he tells me he doesn't know what to tell me. He was not sincere to me.
Desired outcome: I would have liked for someone to at least try doing my hair or discount.
Lack of Customer Service in a Store that was not busy
The store I visited was located in Trinity, Florida It is a new store in the new Mall. I was there on 10/17/2022 around 3:30PM. The sales associates were all by the MAC Cosmetic area. No one and I mean No one came over to ask if I needed any kind of help. I was in the store 15 minutes when a young lady that was dressed in what I would consider non professional geer, ripped jeans and flannel shirt with no identifying name tab came over and asked if I was finding everything? I said no. I was looking for the Protegy Whipped Creme in Amazing Grace. She looked on the shelf and then turned to me and said "We don't carry that item." I advised that I had seen in on Amazon. She replied "Then you will need to buy it from them."
I then processed to look at matte lipsticks. The Kiosk that are set up to try on makeup were dirty, no make up remover, no tissues and few qtips.
Again while I was there, no one came over to assist.
I then notice other customers who also were not being helped. The ales associates were more interested in discussing what dresses they were foing to wear to an upcoming event.
I purchased an Amazing Grace Spray Cologne. However, I am not going back into that store again.
Desired outcome: Please investigate this issue. I would like to receive a gift certificate for the way that I was treated by your unprofessional staff.

I am absolutely on board with everything you just posted. I found your post as I was looking to complain about this very matter. I am a mom of two BOYS-XY and a DAUGHTER- XX. I will never spend my thousands of dollars in Ulta again. I have made sure I published this information to everyone I know. This is a disgrace to women. They are trying to erase us. You don't see this type of campaigning to erase men. Only women- XX can get pregnant, give birth, and breast feed. Only women have ovaries and A UTERUS, menstrual cycles, and XX hormones. You can play dress up and mutilate your body, but you will never be a woman. Go get mental help if you really think you can be a real woman by mutilating your body and playing dress up. Store Associate Providing Misleading Information

A few months ago I went into the store to purchase a few items. At the register the young lady asked me if I want to try for an ulta credit card. I said "no thank you." She insisted again. I said "no, thank you, I am currently trying to purchase a home". The young lady said that it will only take 1-2 points from my credit report and kept insisting. 1-2 points didnt sound bad. Didnt sound like it will not have a major impact on my score. I believed your associate and applied for the credit card. Time went by and I checked my credit report. And my score went down 40 points, 40 points! Not only did she disregard my concern when I mentioned I was in the process of purchasing a home. She lied to me on how pulling my credit for a credit card would impact me. Pushing me back months of progress. I called the Ulta Store this occurred in and the associate said I can escalate it to corporate. But decided to let it be. I realized how this still affects me and how it can affect others if it continues. So I escalated this issue. And requested to have someone contact me back. This issue occurred at the Ulta Beauty in Lee Vista (Orlando, FL).

Unable to purchase online.
I have been an Ulta customer wince November 1, 1996. On September 22, 2022, I went online to take part in the 21 days of beauty, I was not able to complete my purchase as I would get a pop up saying “We are unable to process your order. Verify your payment info or use another payment method.” I found this strange since I had a balance of 63.00 on my credit card. I called the customer service line only to be told they had no idea what this meant and would put an email through to a supervisor in Guest Services. They stated that I had disputed a charge. I have no recollection of disputing a charge, and when asked further they give me some order number in their system that I have no access to. Furthermore when asked for more information on this dispute - nothing was provided. I was told I can never use the online service to place an order for the rest of my life! I would say that is rather severe. I missed out on $75 worth of free items I was entitled to with my purchase of $101 worth of items. I had to go into the store with a broken foot to ick up the items I wanted to purchase.
I am thoroughly disgusted. Anything Ulta sells I can get at Sephora, which is where I will be taking my business – since Ulta doesn’t want it.
Desired outcome: I would like to be able to purchase products and participate in exclusive online events with Ulta.
Pick up order
Just had a buy online, pick up in store order and it was a horrible experience. Got my product, opened it and saw someone had stuck a finger in it. Immediately took it back in and the person "helping" me said she could not exchange it for the exact same item, with the exact same barcode. I couldn't even just return it. I now have to make another trip out here, what a waste of time and how ridiculous! She was also entirely annoyed and rude. I doubt anyone would seriously use a product someone had stuck their hands in.
Manager
There is a manager in the Wilkes bare Ulta beauty next to five and below her name is Nina she is the rudest meanest person I have ever met and for you to have her representing your store as management is a disgrace I shop a lot at Ulta but I will not shop anymore with this company until I see some thing is done with this manager she has no care for the customers nor her employees She sits on her high horse and acts like she is all that when she needs to be taking care of the customers and taking care of that store the only thing I can tell is that you guys must’ve had somebody come in and do the floor because that looks better but other than that she keeps that store a mess
Desired outcome: For you guys to handle it the best way you believe possible but all I am telling you as you are going to lose a lot of customers at your Wilkes-Barre store unless you change your management
Hair appointment
I have been Apryl M’s client since 2020 at Ulta, Mechanicsburg, PA. I never missed any appointment except for a few months ago because I had a positive test result for Covid-19. Today I had an appointment that I was not aware of. This appointment was scheduled in July. I always get reminder text messages from Ulta, but I didn’t get any reminder for today’s appointment. I got a voice message from Jennifer (manager) that since I didn’t show up today, Apryl will no longer take my appointments. I called back to apologize and to explain what exactly happened. She told me Apryl didn't want to talk to me and that was her final decision

I visited this store recently after moving back to the area to pick up some essentials and it is nothing like it used to be. I had help from an associate I think her name was Jessica or Jamie and she smelled like the strongest marijuana I have ever smelled in my life….. and her eyes were bloodshot red. Come to find out later she was the stores manager ? Does anyone do drug testing anymore or does ulta just hire anyone these days ? Very unprofessional. She seemed to be very comfortable in being condescending and rude. Even though this store is closest to me I will not go back to this location.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate ulta to do background checks as well as interview properly when hiring
First off, there is no excuse for condescending and rude behavior, no matter the position of the service personnel.
However, in all fairness, partaking in marijuana doesn't make someone an "anyone these days" employee.
Background checks are most necessary to weed (pun intended) out the real problematic potential employees, not to continue to disenfranchise someone who smokes pot.
I'm of the belief that you are totally ok with someone drinking a plethora of alcohol but shun someone who smokes some pot.
I empathise with your concerns about your service attendant being rude, condescending, and unprofessional. No one should have to endure this in a place where they wish to do business. However, individual behavior does not dictate the attitude and/or beliefs of the business itself.
I'm sure this has been noted with their HR and your feedback noted.

Beauty salon
I booked an appointment for hair and makeup services months ago like in July for my baby shower 9/17. They just now called me 9/7 to tell me my stylist is double booked or isn’t available. This is very unprofessional to call a week before my baby shower and now I’m left scrambling to look for these services elsewhere. They told me they would call me by end of day to see if the other stylist will come in earlier and I never received a call. This is not ok and I want something done about this.
Salon Services
August 20th I went to Ulta to have the green taken out of my hair and then color it light brown with blonde highlights from a stylist named Dawn and paid $260. The next day is when I started contacting customer service. My scalp was/is burnt, my hair has a fried feeling to it, and the blonde highlights in my hair are turning green. Customer Service keeps telling me that my situation was moved up to high priority but still no contact from anyone.
Desired outcome: I would just like my money back. I’m not asking for reimbursement for the doctor or special shampoo I had to get for my head. Just what I spent at Ulta

Helllo, my name is Erica and I have a major complaint, I have shopped at ULTA for years, and NEVER thought I would go through something like this. On Tuesday August 30 , 2022 my daughter Belén who is a minor went in with some product approached the cashier and asked “ if she could return the items she had to get her cash back, and then re purchase them with a gift card she had” the cashier responded “yes of course” and gave her a refund and then the cashier told her to go get the new items in which my daughter responded that , that wasn’t necessary she can just purchase her same items but the cashier was being pursuant, so my daughter went to get the items and unfortunately they didn’t have them in stock . All seamed well until this point then when she states that they didn’t have the items , the cashier said she needed to call a cashier manager, and when the cashier manager came my daughter explained the whole situation, and then the cashier manager was trying to take my daughters cash back, from the REFUND and then wanted to charge her again . In which my daughter explained that if she did that then she would be charging her twice for the items. My daughter had to explain herself so many times she stared feeling accused and then the cashier manager kept looking at her up and down , my daughter was dressed in some sweats and a sweatshirt and her hair up in a messy bun so then my daughter was feeling judged by this cashier manager and then the line started building and the cashier manager with an attitude told the cashier to work the other cashier while she stayed with my daughter but the way she asked the cashier made my daughter feel like it was because of her that the line was so long. In which my daughter knew she want doing anything wrong. At this point she’s been trying to explain herself over an hour and all the cashier made her feel like if she was trying to steel from the company. She decided to just leave so she was putting her money away and the cashier saw she was crying and offered her some items but that’s not how you treat a young lady keep in your store for a whole hour trying to make her feel like she’s a thief just because of how she is dressed. This happend at the ULTA in Apple Valley CA I truly hope my daughter can get compensated for what she had to go through I hope to hear from you soon and I really hope not to see the MANAGER not working there any more. I had a keratin treatment & style set up for about 2 weeks. I needed this done for a party that night. I got a call 2 hrs before my appt telling me that they need to change my time. The time they gave me was 1 hr before my party so I had to cancel. They lady on the phone didn’t try to work with me or anything. She pretty much just said we will have to cancel then. I wasn’t off the phone with her more than 5 mins. & I got a text notification that the appt was cancel. Boy that was quick….I guess my $200 wasn’t needed at all. I will never use that salon nor recommend it. I was brushed off like no big deal.
Order cancelled but money not refunded back
On August 11, 2022 around 4 pm I tried to place an order with Ulta online. While placing the order, it could not be processed through my Pay Pal account and ultimately order was cancelled but Ulta took money out of my account. To date, my money has not been refunded even after 14 days of this incident. Several phone calls later it still remains unresolved. Customer Service is unable to help saying this matter is "under investigation" by their Internal Department. I fail to understand how this company is able to stay in business while treating their customers so poorly. It has been a very frustrating experience not only because of constant follow up but their customer service people speak very poor English and I have to repeat myself several times before they understand the situation.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate if my money is refunded back to my Pay Pal account for an order that was not processed or product that was never received.
Management
I work at the North Wales location at Airport Square in PA. Management is a joke here. This store suffers the same mentality as all other corporate retailers— punish their hardest working employees and reward the laziest.
Please start asking employees to review their bosses to corporate. Want better workers? Start treating the hard workers better.

My wife has been doing hair for over 30+ years managed hair salons ,educator applied for salon manager was denied to a younger girl who just recently got a promotion hardly any experience I was told I’d FAIL by the manager who’s never there sits in her office 16 hours a week and shows up for 2 hours of actual appearance but she’s on salary and she’s stated they don’t know what she does cuz they never check up on her bull crap I call it a bullying interview from a bullying store manager she was very belittled by manager my wife has more experience than everyone in that store but like I said the manager pattricia Williams said Shed fail even tho my wife has been doing all the ordering and taking care of everything in the salon for the past 5 months

I came here to say the same thing! I’ve been shopping at Ulta since the 90s and not only have they erased my race completely, they’ve replaced us with trans and drag queens. They can go broke!
