We have tried to resolve the fact the two years into this we are still paying electric bills. They are glad to sell you their products but their return service is poor to none. I referred people at first- and they now also have the exact same issue. Buyer beware!
My family just got solar with Jason from Unicity
My family just got solar with Jason from Unicity. He sat down with us and told us how solar works to make sure we knew what we we're getting into. He lowered are average bill by about 25%. Then I helped out 2 of my friends and now I don't even have to pay for my solar for the next year

City inspectors have been by twice and failed the inspection because of some wires laying on the roof. However it looks as if it has been resolved. The reason why I am posting with the ComplaintsBoard.com is the customer service. I have called them about 6 times and left messages and no one called back. The one time someone did pickup I asked if he (Alberto I believe) could give me an update on my situation. He put me through to someone else who said they needed to set up a time for the city to come back out. No one called me for the other 2 visit They just knocked on my door. I told them I had received my electric bill and it was the same as usual and I was about to receive my first monthly payment for the panels. They said I needed to reach out to the person who sold me the panels (Austin) to have that taken care of. I told them I have and he never calls back as well. Oh we will text him he always calls back. I said okay that was 4 days ago still haven't heard from him and I called him 3 more times leaving a message. The team that installed the panels were very professional I do believe it was their first install as I over heard them say it would be quicker as they did more home. It's not my fault the installation was not done correctly and as a result failed 2 times. I don't feel as if I should pay the monthly payment and still have my normal electric bill. Panels look great on the house just not doing much for me and no one from unicity wants to call and help me out so beware once you sign the contract if they run into a hiccup communication with them will be slim to none. Who knows maybe someone will reach out to me know with some answers fingers crossed but not holding my breath.
Some of their sections need to learn attentiin to detail, so they do not make that many mistakes and they need to be more customer service oriented or more teaching. I think when they put the frames, they need to be inspected by a roofer, specially if the roof is new, before they finish the instalation, so if roof shingles were damaged, they get repair. They do procrastinate on certain details and if they have a lot of experience in the County they are working on or in general, everything should be pre made before the next step, since they should know what they need for next step and not wait to the last minute and expect the customer to do it for them. Not always they will find a client that used to be a manager and that do not wait for others to get things done., because I hate procrastination. But, I am not getting pay to do their Job. If I get promised they are going to do something I expect that they do it and if not I get upset. I do not take very lightly the lack of Profesionalism of certain people ( not all) or if they try to insult my intelligence, to evade the problem, that they are probably aware off. There are plenty of people in the unemployment iffice that might be more egor to keep their joib and do it right the first time. Other than that I think they did a goid Job, but they need more grease on their wheels to do the final steps fast an accurate. That is when the experience should come into play. Maybe a little micromanage might help at the begining. Hope Customer service works better and they do not forget about you and the Warranty.

This company placed solar piping on a very unsuitable roof leading to leaks and had to replace roof. Roofer confirms they never should have placed the system. Roof was replaced $6,000 later. I requested an extension on the pending loan and was denied. I don't see any savings on energy and should have never installed.

Everything was explained in great detail.. from batteries to the steps leading into the installation process. He made it a no pressure no brainer. Great customer service, will update after install!

After that they start with excuses for that, they told me they will pay the diference in my electricity bills, that never happened. They don't answer my calls, my emails, my letters or my texts. Their customer service is really really bad. Now I have to pay more than before I having the solar system. And I have evidence of everithing

Completely dissatisfied with this company, from the lack of communication (They will communicate with you during the sales process but after that good luck! ) to the poor installation and a complete lack of effort or attention to correct any of their shortcomings, and zero follow up, DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!
1) Completely unprofessional installation crew, far below what I consider professional. No onsite survey to optimize solar placement production pre-installation. They have an "its good enough'" attitude - not only was the installation crew completely unprepared for the job (they took an entire day- left unfished with trash and cigarette butts around the yard, didn't return till 2 days later- see photos)
2) Location of Solar Panels (attached you will see their computer model of where the panels should be and photos of where they actually are) the past three months have been far below satisfactory energy production levels. This would not be the case had the panels been properly placed- when I brought this to their attention they told me I was wrong. They would not be moving any panels or adding additional ones to make up for the deficiently. Because of the poor placement I will have to cut several large tree limbs to make up for it, do you think they offered to pay for the tree service OF COURSE NOT!
3) Complete lack of customer service- they do not communicate beyond the sale and installation- they have a "its good enough" attitude when clearly things could be much better. I spent months trying to speak to someone to make the changes and improvements to the system to no avail- no direct person to contact and had to speak to a different person every time. If I do hear from someone it will probably be due to me finally taking the time to write a review to warn any future customers.
I waited almost a year before before writing this review, this is your home and I write this review to protect you and your home from a company like this. It's a BIG INVESTMENT and Solar Energy is fantastic don't let a company like this ruin it for you as they have for me, do your due diligence, there are many wonderful companies out there this is not one of them.
