I live in Center, North Dakota, (58530) and I am wondering why we are required to pay for mail delivery when most of the United States gets free delivery. Our post office box charge has changed from $15.00 per year to $38.00 per year and it seems really unfair that the only way we can get mail delivery is by renting a post office box and why is the fee not waived? Also, if a person lives 1/2 mile from the post office the fee is waived. We are located a little over 1/2 mile (less than 3/4 mile) and we are required to pay. This seems really unfair.

RE: Refusal to hold mail for pick up
RE: Refusal to forward mailHelp!I'm getting a run around, or being harassed.Several days ago, I put a hold mail, on all mail and packages sent to my address. In fact. later this month, I will forward any mail, since I do not like the messy sloppy manner by whcih mail is distributed at this building, XXX State. St Madison, Wi. 53703Anyway, I called this morning, as I called yesterday morning, to see if there were any packages that I am expecting. When I first called on Monday, the lady was very nice, and said it was really no problem to check to see if there were any packages. When I called this morning, Wednesday, a man, with an almost impossible to understand voice answered, and was really rude, and hard of hearing. I asked to speak with the supervisor. Then she was really rude, and said that HER policey, was to never hold mail for that address, and to NEVER forward mail. Very strange, and odd. Then she became rude, and accused me of being rude. Fact is, I want nothing to do with them, I jujst want them to HOLD the mail, as instructed, I will pick up the mail, when convenient, and later this month, make sure that NO MAIL for me is sent to that address. As it stands now, the Super duper supervisor, Paul palugi, or Kalugi, when I came to the station to pick up my package, says he will refuse to hold mail, with a long strange list of reasons why, its a business ddress, (I'm renting a dumpy room off State St. temporarily), and a slew of other bizarre reasons. I want the MAIL HELD, for my pickup, at my convenience, at the approproate carrier station.I will FORWARD the mail, to my name and address, at the end of the month. Please respond ASAP. I have no idea, what these incompetant, and strange mail carriers now intend to do with my personal mail, and property.XXXXXXX

I placed an order with Walmart on 12/10/08. I ordered 2 wii games, they had a special you buy two at a very low price. I recd one of them via the Post office and did not get the other. I waited thinking ok, I will give it a few more days. Well I just called them and despite Walmart promising me I would have my item by Christmas, the post office says I have to allow nine business days. This is horrible. I am assuming they lost the other one and now I am sure I will not get it by Christmas. I need a higher being to complain to. This is not acceptable and if I was assured by Walmart then I feel they need to step in.

I recently purchased a stereo on e-bay and paid via pay-pal which offerd priority-mail shipping. Once I finally received the package, The box looked as if it had been run over by a mail truck. The post office was kind enough to affix a notice on the box which basiclly stated that they were sorry for the inconvience of destroying my package and that I should expect such damage due to the fact that they handle such a large volume of packages. However, they were constantly striving to improve the quality of service so that these incidents can be eliminated! What? How long has the United States Postal Service been in business? Well, Needless to say, they are not willing to compensate me for the $300.00 stereo they destroyed. They claim I should have bought Insurance. Apparently, I need to buy insurance from them to make sure they do their job right? I can't wait for the day when they(USPS) become totally obsolete! If any other business tried to pull this crap, they would be out of business in no time.

I live in West Virginia. We are the last stop on a route. She hasn't been here in the last 3 days! We have mail to pick-up and it is still in the box with the flag up! Who do I report this to?

I will no longer support the USPS any more than deemed essential. Here is why:

When I moved, I obediently went to the Quakertown, PA PO to cancel my request for forwarding my mail to my PO box. The, I requested both my street address and PO box mail be forwarded to my Washington state address. I also closed my PO box. Simple, right?

The USPS clerk gave me a 1-page form to complete, which I did. He looked it over, signed it, and had me sign it as well. He informed me that this would, in fact, forward my street address and PO box mail to my UP address and close my PO box. I gave the postal clerk the keys and left.

Two weeks later, when I arrived at UP, there was no note from the USPS indicating they got my forwarding address. Mind you, I performed all these tasks on 8/21 (the day after my birthday). I have been going around for weeks to try to get them to forward my mail.

Finally, I had to go online to pay for them to forward my mail.

The postmaster in Quakertown is ignoring my phone calls to answer what happened to my original paperwork and to the mail that never got here.

Here is a list of the items that should've been forwarded to me that I have to track down (and have consequences, such as I cannot change my auto tags or secure insurance as required by law):
credit card bills
auto insurance
auto registration
school loan bill
auto warranty
professional license renewal
professional insurance renewal
professional license CEU certifications
In addition, I need to carve out the time in a 1/2 hour lunch to resolve all this nonsense.

I gave them a second chance after the 4 boxes of personal belongings were stolen from their shipping depot in St Louis. I would rather pay 3-4x the cost of shipping either FedEx or UPS than deal with USPS again. Idiots

I mailed my purse from the Mobile, Alabama main office on December 8, 2015. I received mailing labels along with a letter saying the contents had been damaged. ([protected]). The package was insured. I filed a claim and was told today the claim was denied. So am I to assume the Post Office is just going to keep my purse, money paid for mailing and insurance and I receive nothing.
