On august 7th I went to a presentation at dreams natura to talk about unlimited vacation club. The woman sat with us while we had breakfast and was boasting about how being a uvc member is the best thing anyone who wants to travel and save money can do. We were made so many promises and decided to sign. They made it seem like some of the benefits they were giving us was a once in a lifetime offer that they could do specifically for us. They were filling us up with drinking and just telling us what we wanted to hear. We signed the contract and payed 2,440.50 upfront. We ended up staying in Mexico for the rest of my trip. When I finally got home and had access to my laptop and email I read the contract and noticed a couple things weren’t stated. I just thought that those were perks that the hotels probably had on file for my account. A week later I finally received the welcome call but since it was a Mexico number it wouldn’t go through. So I contacted them to call me from another number which they do. That’s when the promises that were made came into question and she told me “I don’t know what they said to you but that’s not the case” we were promised free nights and free days. Turns out those free days were going to cost us 300 dollars before sept or they weren’t going to be valid and they would be gone. So I told her no I want to talk to someone in charge because I was lied to and want to cancel if this is the type of company they run. No one contacted me in over a week. I kept calling different numbers and every number claimed they didn’t handle cancellations or refunds. Finally on sept 1st I get an email saying that my contract was cancelled but I will not be receiving my deposit back because the time had expired. It’s completely unfair that I can’t get my deposit back if it was their lack of communication. All I want is my deposit back considering that I didn’t get any perks or benefits while I was there.
Desired outcome: Please refund my deposit.
