30 minutes ago, 7:30 a.m., I went to the Goodwill in Buford Georgia located at Sardis Church Road and Hamilton Mill Road to drop off donations. I work during the times that that store is open and the only time that I can leave donations is before I go to work. This is the second time that I have gone there to leave a donation and the same black lady, who told me she is the manager but would not give her name, has come out and told me to take my stuff and not to leave it until 9:00 when they are open. The scene of the first time I went to leave donations, the cones were open so I pulled in and proceeded to put the items at the door and she came out at me telling me to get my things and leave bc they were not open yet. She then proceeded to put the cones around my car which prevented me from leaving without asking first if I could move the cones and then actually doing so all the while she was telling at me to not leave things when "her" store is not open.
I want to add that I did put the con a back after pulling forward and she was STILL yelling at me. Today on my way to work I did stop by to drop off two pair of Air Jordans and a Coach purse. I knew I wouldn't be able to be there during "her" stores hours but I wanted to donate these items which are all worth over $200.00 EACH and prayed that she just wouldn't be there or wouldn't see me and come at me again for trying to give back during the holidays. She saw me though and made me take my items back and not to come there until after 9 am. I got my items and took them straight to the veterans office on my way to my job. This lady (and I'm being very generous in using that adjective to describe her, did it not only to me but to another lady who pulled up who had a plastic tote with stuff in it to donate. The "lady" manager made her take her stuff back too.
Look, every time I go shop at Goodwill and I go to check out I am asked every single time if I want to round it up to the nearest Dollar so that it can help pay their salary. I'm donating my items to help them with their salary and I'm told to take it away and come back in an hour and a half and not to be on the property until they are oen. I will never donate to Goodwill again. I will donate to any and every other charity before I step foot back in goodwills parking lot or store. I will not be talked to like I am a piece of crap for leaving donations to pay that lady's salary. Maybe she's racist and doesn't like white women donating because me and the other donar are white. I would NEVER talk to someone who is trying to do good like she has. I've seen many people on Facebook complain about this same store on multiple occasions.
She will never have to worry about me on that property again.
