blocked phones, account hacked, no resolution for queries or fraud cases submitted to vodacom
My cell phone was blocked on 20 Aug.2019 AND 5 times more since then up to today, 18/9/2019.
The email address for my Vodacom account was hacked and changed to the hacker's mail address - thus no communication for my Vodacom account is coming to me! It goes to the hacker!
I spend hundreds of minutes on the phone since 20 Aug. 2019 to Vodacom customer care, but still the issues have not been resolved.
I made affidavits, emailed it to the fraud dept. still no resolved issues.
The bill was run up by the hackers to R12000.00+++, whereas my monthly bill is usually around R1400.00 monthly.
My phone is still blocked, now my email address to the fraud dept. has also been blocked.
There is no joy in dealing with this issue. I am sick of the situation, my life is down the drain! All this happened because vodacom does not deliver!

I was called in Feb/march this year regarding the upgrade of my contract. I had a 1gig data sim card that cost me R149 per month tel nr [protected].
They called me and offered me a new 10 gig day/night time data contract that will cost me R159 per month. I specifically said that I do not want a extra contract on which they replied it will not be a new contract they are only upgrading me to this data contract because I am a loyal customer. Nr [protected].
Now when I did a recon on my bank statements I realised that I was paying R360 per month for both contracts.
How can I pay R149 for 1 Gig and R159 for 10 gigs. This is a total rip off.
Please listen to the conversation I had with the call centre agent where she and her manager confirmed that this is not an additional contract that I will only pay R159 going forward and that I will still be able to upgrade on my current contract and all remain as is., The only difference now is that I get more data.
I want the R149 paid back to me from the time the new contract came into working. I want confirmation that the old contract [protected] is cancelled and that I only have the new contract that replaced the old one due to an upgrade.
If this is not getting resolved I will post on Facebook, twitter, hello Peter and beeld regarding this and inform everyone to check their contracts.

online sales bad service
I ordered a router with a laptop on 8 August 2019. When ordering online, it was indicated that there is stock available. After 3 days of struggling to confirm the order, I was told that the laptop is on back order. I have called every week to inquire about delivery and was told every time that is is still on back order and can maybe be expected on 13 September 2019. I also wanted the exact specs on the laptop, but every time was told that the specs can be found on google. As there are many models of this laptop, no one could tell me which model to search for. I even a vodacom employee to help and to date no feedback from DeviceManagement ; Mareya, Faith, Vodacom South Africa (External) ; Ammon, Tania, Vodacom South Africa (External) . I eventually confirmed some specs from Charmaine at online sales. It was recorded, so I hope the laptop is correct as per specs given. I called today, 16 September 2019, to inquire on delivery and was told that the system shows it is still on back order, and that I just have to wait and sorry there's nothing else I can do. I am really disappointed in vodacom.

We as a businnes wants to take out a new contract with vodacom. I went to vodacom baywest in pe. Its now a month and a week later with our status still pending. Every week I must submit new documentation. I think it is unacceptable for vodacom for the service they give. If they dont want the business say so and we will go to an other service provider. I want an answer urgently on this matter.

Hi, I have migrated from a business contract to prepaid. I can receive calls and ny data is working, but I cant make any calls. I have a balance of R217 rand but when I try to call, I get a message to recharge ky account. Two different Vodashops have tried to sort out the problem to no avail. The number was sincroniced three times already. A service call was logged and a representatuve from Vodacom called me and he could not find the problem. When he loaded airtime on the system it worked. That is finished now. When I buy airtime it shows on my balance but I cant make any calls. Please assit. I would like to lodge a formal complaint about service I received last week. As I recall the call came in on 4 September around 14:23.
One of your call centre agents lied to me about information regarding a new contract. He was probably so desperate to get my business that he told me if I took out this new 40G, R199 per month contract I would not need a new number.
I specifically asked him if I would be keeping my number and he said yes, nothing would change in that regard.
To my shock, after I received the sim card and inserted it into my phone I saw a new number had been activated. He had said that nothing would change except for the activation of the new contract.
This has made me distrust Vodacom call centre agents and I will NEVER take a call from one of your agents again. When my current contract expires I will not be renewing it with Vodacom.
I spoke to an agent today who confirmed that my number would change and as a result I have cancelled the new contract. I am also expecting a refund of the money taken off my account already.
Please respond by letting me know what happens now.

very very very bad signal
Our signal at our office is beyond bad, we struggle to speak to our customers, and are losing busines because of the signal. We had a guy at our premmisis from vodacom to test our signal them selfs about 3 times already and still there is nothing that improved at all. we will appriciate it if there is some one from vodacom that can assist us in a signal strengthner please asap as we are losing bussiness

I received a call from a company called elite mobile on behalf of vodacom with regards to a laptop contract the offer was a fairly good one and I made the mistake of signing up with the lady over the phone she advised that I would get regular messages on the progress of the application and the delivery of the product she advised the courier company would require my ID and proof of address which did not have to necessarily at the address the product would be delivered too. I also made arrangements with her that there was only a certain time I would be available at home and she said this would completely fine as the courier company would gladly accomadate me. On the day of the delivery I received an SMS from RAM couriers, I called them back to confirm everything was well with the delivery and advised again of the times I would be available the agent gladly advised that it would not be a problem at all. I received a very nasty call from a RAM customer service agent when the driver was at my not at the specified times saying that the driver had 300 deliveries and cannot accomadate me and my time I advised her that I would make arrangements the following day to be a available the entire day to my suprise the driver came to my property and refused to leave the package as my proof of address did not match the actual property that the delivery was being made too after many calls back and forth to elite mobile and RAM couriers I was asked to make an affidavit and the product would then be delivered the next day. This never happened and I recieved a message that said it was sent back to Vodacom. I called Elite Mobile and the agent assured me that I would not be charged or registered for the product until I receive it and Vodacom would automatically cancel. Two days later a agent called to ask if I would like the product canceled or re delivered she convinced me that the mix up would not happen again she delivery would be in that week to which I agreed. I waited for the product two weeks and nothing has arrived. I spoke to Elite Mobile again who advised of a call back from the relevant department but that did not transpire either. Then to my suprise I receive a statement from Vodacom who now registered me as having a contact with them which is now going to be on my credit report for the next 36 months without me actually having anything. This is utterly poor service from all service providers involved. I do plan on taking the matter further I hope this helps anyone from making a similar mistake. I am a cell C customer for years and have never had a single issue with them I suppose this is the price you pay for not sticking to what's tried and tested.

I have been a vodacom customer since 1998. For the last 4-6 weeks, my outgoing call bar is activated every day! I don't owe vodacom anything - account paid up to date. Current usage of r50 with next payment date of 20 september. Everyday I need to call 135, sometime literally hold for hours, just for someone to pick up, and put the phone down! I have spoken to so many consultants, and explained myself so many times, and I am now over it to hear sorry for the inconvenience caused, just to be inconvenienced again a few hours later - then I have to wait between 2-5 hours for my line to be activated!?!?! I have turned at head office through a friend who works at vodacom westdene, and they can't even sort this out! I have now requested for my debit order to be cancelled - not only because i'm tired of paying for the [censored]ty "service" provided by vodacom, but also because vodacom has been debiting my account to the amount of r3580 for the past few months, in stead of my usage of r1420. With vodacom its like farting against thunder! You are just a number - you just have to pay, and vodacom can simply bridge their contract? What am I to do? My contract term is coming to an end in january, but I am over it!

rustenburg branch
My husband went to get a contract at the Rustenburg branch, number was ported however to date been three weeks no phone call to advise if the contract is approved or not . Last weekend wanted to do a drive however they said they offline . A lady name Suane not sure the spelling assisted us when we did the porting, today gave a call to Bertus the Manager of which he said he will call us back .
This is the first time we have expreience such terrible service as i have even convinced my husband to use another network of which he doesnt want to budge .
In Durban they even delivered our phones to our door step !
Appalled of the service in the Rustenburg branch !

This is Nontobeko Nzama I have life cover with Vodacom that I pay every month without fail. I was promised a money back of R1000.00 every two years and when ever it's the time to pay I get the run around.
I have called the call centre and I get different story why I have not been paid. I am concerned this is the treatment my family will get when they need to claim my death. If you can not keep your promise to me while I am alive how can you keep it to my family when I am dead.
Please also send me a copy of our agreement.

insurance placed on handset without my consent
My one contract came to an end and i noticed that i had been charged for cellphone insurance for 2 years. I called into vodacom on the 16 Aug 2019, was told that it had been taken out via a telesales agent. This was very suspicious as i have never taken any insurance on all the contracts i have taken with vodacom for the past 15 years. i requested a copy of the call as i am disputing this. I called again on 23 Aug and was told no query was opened. I was then given a reference number [protected] number then upon an additonal call was given [protected] and told it has been escalated. Today, 10 working days later, an agent requests for me to send an email requesting a refund. i insisted on speaking to a Manager. Then spoke to Thuto Mashido who then provides me with the following feedabck " they would need to obtain a copy of the call" I dont have a problem with that, my concern is what action had been taken on this matter for the past 10 working days? This too is NOT te first time i have this happen, last year a contract had been opened in my name which i did NOT authorise.

I have been called by a Vodacom consultant in May 2019 she was telling me that as a Vodacom loyal customer, Vodacom is giving me 165 air time instead of 110 until August 2019 when I renew or cancel my contract if I want.
To my surprise when I call Vodacom now to cancel my contract they said I have renewed my contract. The numbers that were renewed is [protected] and [protected] and its air time only. Please I need to cancel this contract not to renew them.

contract cancellation after contract period of 24 months
We have a contract on [protected] and when we ave upgrade (2 years ago) the store (Vodacom 4U Brooklyn) sold us a a contract whereby we received another handset for free with a 24 month contract at R60 p/m (do not know the exact amount).
Now 24 months later (as we upgrade again during June 2019) I would like to cancel the the contract for the extra phone with number [protected] and change it to a prepaid but no one can help as I am told phone the next month. Today I was told this contract only end at end of October 2019. At this stage I have requested bot contracts.
My complaint - this is the worse service ever received from Vodacom as no one can give me a clear answer and keep telling me phone the next month to cancel this contract. I will think twice before upgrade again or signup with any Vodacom contracts in the future, and please note this is for my whole family and business which is 6 phones in total that will loose. This do not seem to be much but it's a start.

I sent an email to Vodacom to seek clarity and got no response. I just received another statement reflecting that the amount is still being charged every month. data went missing and lack of service
I bought a data of 600mb on the 5 September 2019 however, I did not use all of it and for some reason it disappeared after using under 300mb. I have been trying to call your customer service for the last three days and your lines are always busy and I am being referred to use the automated system that does not have the option for my complain.

Received SMS saing i owe R 77 and my airtime us 24. Ok. So i wanted to transfer airtime to another phone. No. I get told i only have R 1. Call Vodacom. Told you will sync the phone. I must switch it off and it will work. Still nothing.
