unethical behavior
Date of incident: July 6, 2018
Client number: [protected]
Renal Patient: Yazmín A. Serrano Montalvo
I have call evidence and video about my continue approach to reach my regular and monthly medicine and today, when I call I received a bad attitude with one of the employee Erika Ruiz, in the specialized pharmacy Walgreens 65 infanteria in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The lady don't have any manners to treat with patients and customers. She don't have any idea the time and effort consuming to have my pills for my transplant kidney, please do something to stop this kin of behavior about this type of employee.
cashier
On 7-5-2018, my sister and I went to the store the sun are products were advertised as buy 1 get one 50% off, I purchased Walgreens spf 50 for $12.99 and a spray bronzer for $11.49 the cashier gave me $2.00 off on my savings reward card. I should have been given 50% off. The 2nd one. Do they need to train their personnel better. The cashier was also very rude and not very knowledgeable about the location of items in the store or the sales.
medicine
My 11 year old daughter has sezuire's and she has been hospitalized twice within a month the doctors went up on her medicine and one day in the mist of her having a sezuire she kicked out and spilled her medicine we contacted Walgreens and told them about the incident and they reassured me that they were going to refill get script well we got a text saying her medicine was ready to be picked up and when we arrived there they told us it wasn't ready and they needed pre-approval for the medicine and that they would contact the insurance company well it's been weeks and they still don't have the approval nor did they contact me about it and they gave me three medicine's that we're discontinued over 6 months
prescription
My daughter's prescription was sent to Walgreens pharmacy on June 6th. I went in about a week later to pick it up since she had some medication left from her last refill. Once I went to pick up her refill, I noticed one was missing and I inquired about it and the pharmacy employee informed me that it was on back order. I was also informed that once it was ready I would be contacted. Another week goes by and no response, so I go online and submit another refill request in reference to the same medication. Now another week goes by and still nothing. I called the pharmacy 6 times in a period of 30 minutes because someone keeps picking up the phone and putting it on hold without actually speaking to me. I finally call another department in the store and explain that I have called several times with no one picking up and she has the pharmacy pick up. The 1st female pharmacy employee who picks up asks what the call was in reference to and I let her know and by this time Im frustrated because her tone has an attitude. She proceeds to tell me that my refill request was not there and that she will put in and then ask "What time am I picking up?" with a nasty attitude. I then asked her to have the pharmacist pick up the phone because I was done talking to her any further. The pharmacist Megan then answers the phone and again I explain that my daughter's prescription was put in since the beginning of June and i still have not heard anything back from them. She clearly received information from the employee because she proceeds to have a worse attitude with me on the phone...then states the medication is on backorder and then states they tried to contact the doctors office to obtain a substitute with no result. At this point...Its all bull to me because the prior woman who picked up the phone from the pharmacy asked me what time I wanted to pick it up and now the pharmacist is giving me a whole other story. What really pissed me off is that in almost a months time span, you are telling me you are unable to contact or leave a message for my daughter's backordered medication or call me to inform me especially after I requested a refill for a 2nd time then have the audacity to have a major attitude with me. I also had mentioned to both employees that my daughter was flying out of state for the summer in 2 days so when exactly were they planning on addressing the issue? I was so beyond pissed at this point, I asked the pharmacist Megan(absolutely rude) to speak to a store manager. Jerry the manager comes on the phone and I explain everything to him again and of course he hears the anger and frustration in my voice. He was a very very nice person and stated he would go find out exactly what was happening. He did come back on the phone and stated that it was on backorder and that they...meaning the pharmacist told him they tried to contact my daughter's doctor. I told him I think it was a bunch of bull on the pharmacist part because the prescription was sent in June 6th. He then was surprised because he didnt realize it was that long. He assured me that they would contact the doctor 1st thing in the morning because today is Sunday and of course the office is closed. He also then asked me to call the doctor as well which I will. He apologized numerous times for the inconvenience, which was very nice of him and of course I informed him its nit his fault but thanks for saying it. But I did inform Jerry that I want to put in a formal complaint to Walgreens i reference to the pharmacist and the other employee because their attitude was unprofessional and not to mention that they dropped the ball with no apology. They should have approached the situation the same way the manager Jerry did. I appreciate Jerry for staying professional during my frustration and offering whatever help he could. He let me know that I can speak to Paul the store manager tomorrow to put in a formal complaint and that he would inform him of the situation and that I will be calling. Side note: this is not the 1st time I have run into an issue with Walgreens pharmacy and my daughter's prescriptions and I have no choice but to go to Walgreens because Tricare-military insurance as of the year prior decided to end their contract with CVS which I loved and signed on with Walgreens which has been not so pleasant at all. Im hoping my daughter's medication will be ready tomorrow because she flies out early Tuesday morning. Fingers crossed that the pharmacist will follow through and do her job.
rude people in the pharmacy
I have called the store on W.main st and Drake in kalamazoo mi, only o get a rude tech, or pharmacist.Trying to explain things to them, they talk over me.Had an asian lady put me on hold in mid sentence, then told me she couldn't get through to my part D insurance, i called and got them on first try. Most of the techs there that work the window or counter either have an attitude or just don't care, I don't know
drug problem
I live in Corpus Christi, TX and I've been seeing Walgreens employees under the Harbour Bridge smoking weed and what else. Also a lot of drinking and most of them look underage. I know they are Walgreens employees because they are all wearing their uniform. Even managers are there. I can't tell which store they are from cause the times I've seen them they are usually different employees. I know that whatever they do outside of work it's their business, but they are promoting Walgreens while they do this things and I don't think that's right. If something happens or somebody gets arrested it won't be so and so got arrested it will be on the headlines "Walgreens employee..." I'm sure with all the heat you guys have been getting you don't want that kind of PR.
I also seen a couple of times at the store in Staples and Everhart employees buying drugs in the parking lot, also seen it in the store at Morgan. I could easily call the police but I think this is something Walgreens should deal with. How poor the service could be if the employees are under the influence?
specialty pharmacy delivery
On 06/18/2018, I reordered my Rx for Aubagio, through the Walgreen's specialty pharmacy website, for delivery to my local Walgreens. The Rx was delivered, via FedEx, to the pharmacy on 06/20/2018 and (according to FedEx's records) it was returned to FedEx the same day. On 06/25/2018, I stopped by Walgreens to see if the Rx had been delivered as I had not received a phone call about it. I was first told that the Rx had been picked up and when I told them that I certainly had NOT picked it up, they changed their story and said that they had no record of it being delivered. The pharmacist wrote down my telephone number and said he would check into it and get back with me. On 06/26/2018, I contacted Walgreens Alliance Rx and they told me the Rx was at the store. I called the store and told them what Alliance told me and the technician told me that it wasn't there and if I needed further assistance I would need to speak to the Pharmacy Manager. I didn't have the opportunity to call back and then I got a call, from FedEx, telling me that the shipment had been returned to them and if I didn't pick it up today, it would be returned to the sender. I told them that I didn't have transportation today and asked if it could be returned to the Walgreens and they said no. I have M.S. and this is a drug that I'm not supposed to stop suddenly. Guess what? I run out of pills tonight.
buy one get one x % off
It's not a sale if you have to purchase more than you need. It's a scam to off load their merchandise to the consumer to warehouse for the retailer. So in reality if we don't use the products we sometimes actually pay more if we have to dispose of unopened merchandise we we coned into buying to get a discount.
And the points rewards now always expire within 6 days of being told they're available. In other words you are trying to force disabled customers to visit your store more often and spend more money than we can afford.
It's not bad enough we have to use your "loyalty" cards, which are nothing more than a way for you to track us. And your app that invades our privacy. But you're not even being honest enough to give us, your customers actual sales or discounts unless we meet your conditions. When you weight the pros against the cons, Walmart, Sam's Club, Target and Costco are worth the cab fare. Because between you, CVS and all other stores with all your "conditions" you all just waste our time and too much of our money.
I miss the days when retailers actually cared enough about their customers to be honest and good hearted.
brian hreniuc, pharmd
Nicole Mone was denied a prescription that she and her Doctor decided was her best option. However when she attempted to fill the RX at the Walgreen at 9040 W. Peoria in Peoria, AZ the pharmacist, named above, refused to fill it without giving her any options. Certainly Walgreen vets their pharmacist to follow company guidelines when a prescription is in questions. This man put his own beliefs ahead of what "should have" happened. With most other companies his employment would and should be terminated.
drive-thru
I am making a complaint about Walgreens customer service drive up or drive through pick up I have went to Pineville Louisiana Walgreens on Military Highway to pick up my son's prescriptions and when I got there I was behind two people one left so I got into that lane which they had left out of and the other person was still at the drive-thru they left I was still sitting there no one had greeted me as of yet then another one or another person had pulled into the other side which the person just left out and I'm still sitting in my same spot and still haven't got greeted then all of a sudden they took care of that person who had just pulled up even though I have been sitting there for now about 15 minutes maybe even 20 minutes and after that person has left they finally acknowledge me and they're only excuse was they didn't see me and they was waiting on other people which doesn't make sense when they have a mirror at the drive-thru to see both lanes that is a sorry excuse and poor customer service
unethical behavior
On 6/25/2018 12:38pm after I had already called and was told my prescription was ready for pick-up, I arrived and was told by Pharmacist that I could not pick up this prescription unless I also picked up another that was due but I was unable to pick up the other until next week because of cost. In essence, he attempted to hold my pain medication hostage without me paying $40 extra dollars for medication I couldn't afford until week later. They also purposely made me wait extra time which was unnecessary since medication was ready. These are new people. I was never treated like this before they arrived. Just want this practice to stop. Was discriminated against.
store #13014
We went into Walgreens store #13014 and as soon as we entered we knew we were not welcome. The sales associate Gina was as the register helping a customer but did not welcome us. She did however call a very nice woman from the back to watch us, which turned out to be a blessing. The sale associate Gina make it clear that she was not going to help us and she was not happy that we were there. We're from Vegas and we're not use to that quality of customer. Thanks to Gina we will no longer be shopping at Walgreens when visiting Phoenix.
customer survey
I keep trying to enter your "surveys" based on my receipt. They do not work, even when I try to complete them within 12 hours of shopping. I think Walgreens is lying to their customers. Now that we have a CVS in our city. I shall take my business to CVS. I loved CVS when I lived in Norman, OK. I hope the one in Little Rock, AR is as good! Walgreens has lost my business; even if they are almost "right around the corner" (about 5 blocks) from my house. If you are not going to really offer a sweepstakes to improve the quality of the business, then do not lie about- just do not do it. After all, it is only for points- It is NOT like a contest where win anything.

pharmacy
I have been a customer of Walgreens on Platte and Murray (4305) and recently been having issues with the pharmacy manager with my meds. The first issue was him changing my med amount on my Bupineriphine, script was initially 5 mg and he changed it to 2 without permission. All the month of may I have been calling walgreens to refill my Vyvanse. Everytime I pick up my scripts, it is never there. No one ever callse me about picking them up. This is really serious as I need this medication, but worse yet, the entire month of May went by and I never got it. I kept calling and asking them to please refill and made requests online to fill my June script to no avail. I called again yesterday and spoke to Dan. He acted as if I had never called for it, never asked for it and yet I have a call log of all the times I have called and asked for it at least 8 times . He said he'd fill June but I couldn't have May. I was angry upon hearing that and told him this wasn't my fault. He said " I don' t have to fill your prescriptions" I said wow, you are going to harass me over my own script His response was, " You don't need that much" I said I will just transfer my meds elsewhere, and he said, I am canceling them so you can't. Now I have had to go back to my Dr. and redo this and go elsewhere. This is unethical and if this man hates his job this much, he should just leave. He needs investigated.
You can't request a refill of a controlled medication...Your doctor has to either send in a new script or you have to bring in hard copy to refill a C2 medication. In the state of Colorado no C2 medications has refills. Your doctor most likely gives you 3 copies of the medication that are dated in the future.
pharmacy service/ policies
I have been told so many different so called policies from a handful of different Walgreens Pharmacy. No 1 person should feel or habe any kind of fear or anxiety walking into a Walgreens. Everytime i walk into a Walgreens Pharmacy I get a got ache. I'm told I'm early on 29 days. I have to miss work because whomever is at the counter seems to have the power to push you off till whenever. They have no regaurd for ones health or care about anyone or anything accept that dollar Bill. I would protest and BAND all Walgreens if possible. There's so much more. If only someone that can actually help could contact me.
service
store at 1919 west gray street in Houston they need to drug test everybody I saw a employee their buying drugs in parking lot she look at me and smile that store have the worst customer service I ever seen pharmacy always busy not enough employees working and have such nasty attitude the store is always busy with one person up front checking out employees are seen on floor laughing cursing among each other its sad such a wonderful store going down cause of rude employees would not be coming back to this store
pharmacy
I go quite often to pick up my medicines almost weekly or bi-weekly. Almost every time I go I encounter issues or problems with payments with my meds. The one I am having now it my eye drops"xiidra" I have a card from the manufacture that states I get my first for free and any addtl. For $10.00 on refills. I have contacted my doctor with no resluts, I have contacted my insurance "my blue" which told me to tell the pharmist to put it thru with the card and not my insurance and the clerk "namooris" said she has to put it thru with my insurance anyways. Whatever, I just would like to get my eye drops and pay the refills as suppose to.
The second complaint is against the constant lack of customer service and wait times. No matter what time I do, thru the drive thru or walk up, I have to wait at the least 45 min - 1 hour. The lines is usually 12 deep and being a disabled person and not being able to stand for long periods of time is down right troubling coming from a place that suppose to have compassion for people. They always have a high turn over in people and with no sense of urgency. At times one person is running drive thur and the inside window with a line that people just walk away disgusted and upset, like myself.
My third complaint is, why is it that every month I go to get my "movantik" the never have it in stock? I get that it is a costly drug, but if I get it monthly why can't they order enough to have on hand so I dont have to be without it for a few days until its recieved again. I have been on this since last year and this is the only pharmacy I go to to get it, store #06486 walgreen 1111 w. Vine street; kissimmee, fl 34741
I would like for someone to call and due a follow up to my concerns.

manager scott hutchinson
Mr Hutchinson crashed into my daughter and I on June 5th 2018 at around noon in the toy aisle. He was pushing a cart stacked with heavy boxes and claims he did not see us. I was in a squatted position with my back towards him when he hit us with a cart stacked with boxes. 2 of the front boxes fell on top of us as he hit us. I was in a bad position to brace myself from falling, while protecting my daughter, and blocking the boxes from falling on our heads. This is dangerous, absurd, and negligent especially for a manager in the store.
western union
I was told it is Walgreens policy that u can only make one transaction in a 24 hour period with Western Union. This is not a policy at any other Western Union locations in the area. This happened at Walgreens in Rogersville Tn. I was told u can not send and receive $ in a 24 hour period. I have done this at this location as well as ofhers. This is not a policy with Western Union. How can Walgreens make this policy for a company they don't own? Plz help! Thank u Cheryl Ellis
