poor customer service
Came into store to get my daughters prescription filled and pick up some other items needed. I asked an employee where to find an item and was rudely told to look for it myself. A young brunette, name tag was Beth. Smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. I went and found the item on my own while she continued texting on her phone. Will not be coming back if this is allowed.
drive thru pharmacy service
We had been sent by our regular Walgreen's pharmacy to another Walgreen's pharmacy on the corner of Waldo rd. and University ave. In Gainesville, Fl.. Our regular pharmacy was out of the medication we needed and had told us that they called the one on waldo rd and that they had it in stock. So we drove across town to that pharmacy, there was fairly young African American woman working the drive thru( May 31st at approx. 4:15pm). We told her the other Walgreen's sent us over, she then said that they did not have it in stock and that no one had called from any other store. She was very short and rude with her response as if we were being untruthful about being sent by the other Walgreen's. She definitely needs a refresher course in manners and customer service. She made no offer to call the other store and help figure out the problem after we had already drove across town. Customer service is often the life or death of any business and in her case would definitely be detrimental to Walgreen's business.
ripoff
Waiting at the photo counter is ridiculous! There is never anyone there and no bell to ring.
I purchased a photo book for $26.97. It fell apart when I opened it. I took it back immediately for a refund. my credit card statement just arrived, Walgreens gave me a return of $12.84. This is not the first time I have been ripped off by Walgreens.
Walgreens has been crossed off my list for any further purchases!
clinic
I decided to make an appointment at the Walgreens Clinic at 3920 Hampton Avenue, Saint Louis Missouri because I've had an earache for the past 2 weeks. The woman who took all of my information was small, had glasses and brown hair. She looked at my face and said, "since you're so swollen I don't think we'll be able to help you..." despite me saying I think I have an ear infection, can you check my ear.
I went out into the waiting area, puzzled because I've been treated for severe ear infections at a Walgreens clinic before. They called my name and I went into the other room to be seen by the primary physician, and she immediately started telling me that they wouldn't be able to help me. She touched my lymphnodes and said, "this isn't from an ear infection. I'm not going to look into your ear, because if I don't find an ear infection, we will have to refer you anyway. Since it's swollen lymph nodes you probably need to see a specialist."
She didn't look in my ear or anything (even though I told her that it felt like every other time I've had an ear infection... and that it started right after I got out of the shower one day and my ear felt clogged like swimmers ear).
So after wasting an hour there and calling off work because I was in excruciating pain and they didn't help me at all, I drove 45 minutes to my primary care physician in Arnold near my hometown. Not to mention I was freaking out that I had something way worse than an ear infection due to the Walgreens' comment about me having to see a specialist and not even checking my ear for infection.
Once at my primary care physicians office, I was taken care of immediately and out within 20 minutes. Guess what - I have an ear infection. My physician told me to immediately call and complain about my experience at the Walgreens clinic I went to because I had minimal swelling, no fever, no nausea, and my ear hurt and she refused to check my ear. My physician said she was very disappointed that I was turned away because while she knows Walgreens is limited with what they can treat, ear infections are certainly one of them.
This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a healthcare personnel. I will never return to a Walgreens clinic, and I will tell my friends not to waste their time at one either. Prior to this I've had no problems at Walgreens clinics, but after this visit I'm not willing to give them another chance.
walgreens pharmacy
I was notified by a Walgreens recorded message that one of my medications was under recall. The message did not specify the medication. The recording instructed me to call my local Walgreens Pharmacy for more details. I than contacted my local Walgreens pharmacy (in Schertz Tx.) and spoke with Amber who did not ask for my name or any personal information, but told me that there were not any medications under recall at this time and if I didn't know the name of the medication she wouldn't be able to help me. After persisting that there must have been a reason for call from Walgreens, she then asked for my name and date of birth and subsequently told me that the Accu Check Aviva test strips were under recall. This took all of two seconds to find out after I convinced Amber to look up the information. It might be beneficial for the staff at Walgreens at Roy Richards Dr./ FM 3009 in Schertz, TX to be trained on how to handle medication recall matters.

racist hiring practices at the rite aid, now walgreens location at 142central avenue clark, new jersey. store manager karen
Made several in store inquires about job opening opportunities in Clark, NJ. Spoke with different store level managers and then directed to Karen, Store Manager. Karen, the store manager was unfriendly, discourteous and dismissive to me as potential candidate however; she was quick to abruptly stop speaking to me to speak to a white customer. Is this a general practice at this location in comparison to your other locations where the community is more diverse?
Do you happen to know her last name?
bathroom policy
Very disappointed in Walgreen's bathroom policy. Don't feel safe in their choosing to advertise what they are doing. It's a political move not a responsible move. Trying to be relevant instead of safe otherwise would have fixed the so called problem without calling any attention to it. After 20 some years...we are done. And especially after trying to call customer service...mention the bathroom policy and all of a sudden they can't hear you. Shame.
wanted a refund on wine
I went to walgreens in lancaster, sc on 05/08/18 at 2:15. I bought 4 bottles of wine. But when i looked at my recipt i was one ycharged for 5, i didnt catch at the time. I call and they gave the manger that was on duty on 05/09/18, told her what happened and she just bring recipt and they make it right. I went this morning and the clerk was real nice called the manger up. I dont know her name but she talked with accent. I told i bought 4 and was charged and also i didnt get a credit for buying 4. She told me i had to show her on the shelf where it said you get 10% off with 4 bottles. Then she accused me for lying that anyone could say that. Im not the type of person that would do that. She told me to stand in line. So i did and then she went somewhere else. It was my time to check out and the clerk even call her over the phone to come to register #2 but she never showed up. I waited then still no show. So i told the clerk just to forget it and i wanted out. This will be the last time i will go to walgreens and wont tell anyone to go there . I would love to talk to some one. If the care
pharmacy
The walgreens in milwaukee wisconsin on 27th and north avenue... Is beyond unprofessional they actually can cause you harm... They never actually answer the phone i've had numerous doctors try to get through with no luck. Their power has been out for several days now, "which is a first", which also adds on to their normal chaos... I have very low vision and I have actually been given someone else's medication twice... It makes me wonder how many other people got the wrong meds as well... Sometimes I rather go without my medication then to deal with the walgreens in milwaukee on 27th and north avenue
customer service
On may 8th at around 9:45 pm, I visited the store 1306 s mary ave sunnyvale, ca 94087 and bought some vitamin d for my kid. When I was trying to pay, the cashier asked me if I have the membership card. And before I answer, he just said no and then proceeded his operation. And later, he asked if I need a bag. I said no. Then he just ignored and wrapped with a bag and said, "don't worry, it won't charge."
I guess I must look very poor in his eyes.
I hope the store can give better shopping experience and respect customers more.
wrong charges in my credit card
On april 30 at 10.38 pm I visited the Store 15196 151 n State ST Chicago IL 60601,
The lady told me my credit card was denied for USD 47, 77, she tried twice and gave me the same answer, so, I decided not to buy everything, just took 3 ítems and paid in cash USD 17.39 ( receipt 271 1249 002 04/30/2018 10:38 pm )
Today I have the 2 charges on my credit card statement, I called to the store and spoke with David Lopez and Octavio Soto, Octavio told me that they won´t credit back because they can´t be sure of the charges, I offered to send my credit card statement and Octavio told me not to do it, and he also told me that I have to request to me bank to avoid the charges, The bank cannot do that because in the statement I have the 2 charges from the store. I really need that someone help me with this, I live in Costa Rica and it´s really sad the customer Service I had when I called.
customer service
Pharmacy employee at # 00842 350 North Capitol Avenue, San Jose California, was very rude ! She gave me an attitude and complained out loud trying to blame me for her not doing her job ! And within earshot of her manager Perry. He said he would talk to her because when he heard her complaining, he immediately took over my service.
I had already asked her to fix my prescription on their computer so it gets billed to the right insurance. Every time I came back for the last 2 months, she still hasn't done it and it's the same story every time !
customer service/closing hours
May 4 2018
Walgreens on Seminary & Foothill.
The hours of the store says 8 am to 10 pm, which means the doors should stay open to customers until 10pm. I walked up to the door at 9:55 pm, she security guard saw me walk up to the door and closed the door right in my face. She told me I could not come into their establishment. I asked her what time do they close, she said it didnt matter her alarm was going off to close and she could not let any one else in side. I then asked her why there sign said they closed at ten. She said it that didnt matter with an attitude.
I am a frequent Walgreens shopper and I really did not appreciate that type of treatment. If customers are not allowed to enter after 9:55 then the hours should be changed to close at 9:55 and not 10 pm. Her attitude and poor lack of customer service makes me not want to shop at your establishment anymore.
I am extremely upset at this moment and really need to file this complaint. Please reach back out to me as something needs to be done. This is a new walgreens that just opened and this is not a good way to build a good rapport with the community and people who will they expect to shop there on a daily basis.
medication refills
Every month i take my prescription to Walgreens to be filled. I take medication daily and have for 5 years. On April the 4th I took my 28 day script, which ran out on the 1st. On May 2nd i went to the doctor to get my new script and took it to the Walgreens on Paul Huff Pkwy in Cleveland TN. I dropped it off to a tech named Racheal, who has been rude to me in the past, was running the cash register. I don't understand how the pharmacy techs don't have some kind of code of conduct on how to treat patients without judging them and being rude. But she looks at the computer and my script for about two seconds and tells me that I'm trying to pick it up early and she can fill it early tomorrow on the 3rd. I don't know how she can claim that a 28 day script is supposed to last 30 days and act like she's doing me a favor by filling it on the 3rd. I tell her that I'm completely out and I believe she's wrong and she quickly (rudely) tells me there was nothing I could do about it, takes my script, and says goodbye. Because of her inability to count to 28 i had to go without my daily medication for about 2 days and I'm recovering from hernia surgery also. I was completely unable to function and had to lay in bed crying trying not to overdose on ibuprofen for the pain. This is wrong. Pharmacy techs have no right to play God with patients medications. This has set me back significantly in my recovery and Racheal wouldn't even take the time to double check to see her mistake. She should be held accountable for what she did. The pharmacy techs have people lives in their hands and the mistakes they make cause major problems. She was rude unhelpful and when she finally did fill it, she tried to overcharge me by 50$. The techs should treat people with respect and be willing to help people or find a job where they aren't in charge of patients health.
manager, james, store #2740
This is a complaint regarding an employee with poor customer service at your Santa Clara store #2740.
The employee is an African American male, named James, who is also one of the managers at this store. Every encounter I have had with him has left me angered, frustrated, and very hurt that this man is in a position of power and authority, and simultaneously allowed to treat customers the way he does. He has an attitude of extreme dislike for customers, because any time he has to deal with a situation (as managers are supposed to), he acts as if it's an inconvenience for him, and he is annoyed that he has to drop what he is doing to do another task. Whether it has been dealing with coupons that aren't scanning correctly, returning items without a receipt, or having to search for a photo order that wasn't in the alphabetized bins, his attitude towards the customer is one of disdain and disgruntled in nature. He will also cut the customer off mid-sentence when they are trying to explain or provide assistance on the situation. He is never apologetic or tactful in his responses, only curt and bullied. He has never once smiled or thanked the customer in any way.
This man is a poor representation of good customer service, and he should not be allowed to be in management. I am shopping at other Walgreens from now on, so I will not be bullied and spoken to in such a condescending manner when I am trying to shop. Please take action with this employee. He is a terrible person, and he does not represent your company well.
pharmacy
I fill two prescriptions at Walgreens in Arlington Heights on northwest hwy and Dryden. Same medication, two different strengths. I call and refill the lower strength and they issue a new RX for the higher strength. How is it possible they issue two prescriptions for the same medication and it's my fault. I called in the wrong one. WHAT?! I think someone needs to look into this store. Very poorly managed. I'm no longer using Walgreens. I'm going to transfer all RXs out.
filling of our prescription
Today when I went into Walgreen's to pick up my prescription they had it screwed up, my doctor wrote for take 1 three times daily #180 but dispense a 90 day supply. So when I had ask if it was a 90 day supply, the gal said " will no it's not" so I told her it should have been called in that way and to pull the RX, she had told me that's how it was called in and that's how they filled it. Plus they couldn't change the quantity without calling the Dr. First. If that's the case why didn't they notice it when they filled it at the being and called the Dr. And had it fixed then.
This is not the first time sometime like this has happened nor the seconded time.
There has been other times where the tech. Did not do there jobs and almost did harm to my husband.
At one point in time I had worked for Walgreen's so I know the ins and outs so everything that has gone wrong is not ok with me and needs to be fix before someone get hurt.
selling expired products
Good afternoon,
As an avid Walgreens shopper, I was disappointed to discover the gum I purchased at my local Walgreens was expired for over two months! Perhaps that is why the gum was on sale. I saw the sale price of .39c and thought I was getting a good deal. So I bought all of the remaining packs on the shelf. However, when I got home and looked carefully at the package I saw the expiration date of "20FEB18" which is over two months ago. This is quite disturbing, to think Walgreens would have expired product on the shelf. What's more disturbing that Walgreens would sell that expired product!
I would rather have paid the regular price and received fresh product!
Purchased their flagship vitamin brand finest nutrition today 10/16/22 @ $15 plus dollars for Finest Nutrition Melatonin 3 grams with an expiration date of August 2021, nearly 2 years expired. Customer service was not good. Was able to return because we kept receipt.
I just purchased 9 cases of 7-UP, priced at 3 for $9 which is great deal, the box was made in 2019. No expiration date on the box. They all seem flat with very little fiz. Bring your glasses next time you shop at Walgreens, need too check the date, if there is no date they erased the date, don't buy anything with no exp date on them. This was at Duane Reade Flushing Main St. and Roosevelt ave.
drive-thru pharmacy, in-store management at kalamazoo, mi downtown michigan ave. store
Sunday at 5:58 p.M. the Pharmacist said, We close at 6p.M. and I need 10 minutes to fill a Prescription. I said, but it's not 6p.M. and, I have an Anti-Biotic that needs filling. She said I can't. I drove my car around to the front entrance and went into the store which it could've been no less than 5:59 p.M.. The lady at the counter said, Welcome to Walgreens. She didn't say it's too late to serve You or it's too late to Buy anything. I asked her for the Manager. The Manager presented herself and I told her that I needed my Prescription filled. She said we close at 6 p.M., I said I was at the Drive-thru before 6p and there is no sign on the Window. I said, it wasn't 6 p.M. at the Drive-thru and there is no sign on the Window other than you close at 6p.M.. I said You are saying two things which neither are appropriate for My situation. Plus, there was line of people approximately 6. I heard the Pharmacist shut the gate.
To make matters worst the Pharmacist and the Manager said I could go to the West Main or S. Westnedge Store. I went to S. Westnedge store and the drive-thru and in-store Pharmacy was closed.
Summarized: 1) No Commitment to Customer Satisfaction, 2) Closed the Drive-thru prior to 6 p.M. which is SELF-SERVING the Pharmacist and violating the Consumer Rights to Service, 3) Endangered Me because of NON-ACCESS to Medicine.
