Neighborhood waste management
One of the waste management people left our trash container leaning on the cactus plant by hour house. After I pulled the trash bin off the cactus I didn't realize it had small splinters in the handle, and so when I grabbed the handle I ended up having cactus splinters all over my hand. I'm not from NV or a place that ever has cactus. Please tell your workers not to leave bins leaning or in cactus. I've spent the last 2 hours pulling tiny splinters from out of my hand.
Desired outcome: I'd like an apology I guess or just that they won't do that again

Cancelation charges
On 10/4 canceled my service and WM has charged me $129.21. And no this is not for my service too. Reason to cancel was they regularly upped my cost. This started in the beginning of Covid when they reduce my service from two days to one. The did reduce my cost by 10%. I believe it went from $37 to $34. That cost lasted a little while. In the past year my cost went from $37.92 to $51.60 for one day a week. When I finally got tired of the price change (with no notice) I decide to cancel (BTW..new service is $20 a quarter for one day a week) Now they are charging me $129.21 to pick up the trash cans. Specifically, $75 Residential Removal, $22.10 Fuel/Environmental Charge, 19.42 Environmental charge, 4.19 Regulatory Cost, 8.50 Admin charge. Oh...and the trash cans are still in front of my house.
On a second note, they charged me twice for last months service.
Desired outcome: I should not be charged to cancel a service that randomly has almost doubled in a year. I need a refund of my double bill.

Harassment
WM makes it nearly impossible to cancel service. You can't cancel on the website, you can't cancel via email - you have to call them, but the wait times are outrageous and they pass you around to different people, make you wait more, and then try to bully you into keeping the service.
I was on hold for nearly 2 hours before I was finally able to cancel my service, near the end of the billing cycle (6/22/22). I then removed my payment info from their website because I didn't trust that they wouldn't continue to charge me. They picked up their bin the following week, and dumped its contents out of the street in front of my driveway. A few weeks later WM started sent me overdue invoice for the next billing cycle (due 7/5/22). They called, they emailed, and now they they are sending me letters with overdue charges and threatening collections company.
Desired outcome: I'd like WM to stop harassing me to pay for service period that occurred after I cancelled service.

Extreme overcharge after I just singed a 1 year contract!
I recently signed a 1 year contract with waste management for $76 per month. I asked them several times if that was all the fees and they assured me it was. 2 months into the contract I get a bill for $182. They claim my dumpster was overfull. The times for pickup were 20 days apart as its normally 14 or so, so it may have been a little overfull. But to charge well over double is a joke! This company has terrible terrible reviews and I see why, they are crooks! This company is so bad and untrustworthy don't even want then on my property.

We want the service canceled and the payment in the rears for no service gone
I was with Advance disposal and they sold out to Waste Mangement, we do not want to deal with waste management had a bad experience with them in the pass. Called to cancel our service but they refuse to cancel it. We have called to cancel, sent letters and they act like they don't see them or care. They send a bill that they are increasing their rates and if we pay it we agree to the increase so I wrote on them do not agree. So now they call we are in the rears. they have charged us for 2 months now and have not even come to our place. The dumpster has been wired shut so nobody can put anything in it for 2 months with a sign on it to take it and we have seen any truck on our cameras that they have come but yet they charge us and now say we are in the rears. They claim they have a contract that they bought from Advance disposal we have requested a copy which they have not send. We do not recall signing any contract. Have other dates, name of people we spoke with, and times.

We ordered a yard waste bin from Waste Mangement over 2 months ago. Each week they advised that the bin would be delivered on Monday and to put out the yard waste in paper bags for pick up. I am writing out of concern for ongoing targeting of our household by Waste Management (WM). My family and I recently moved in the home owned by my sister 18469 Greenlawn Detroit Mi 48221. We have received several notices regarding the yard (excessive weeds and plant growth). However, we have both spoking to our neighbor who yard the weeds/tree branches is originating from to no avail as well as the City of Detroit regarding this matter. So we recently cut down on the overage of weeds, small branches that is coming into our yard and placed them on the curb on the morning, as well as tree debris that was left from the storm a few weeks ago where a small/midsize tree fell into our yard from our neighbors yard which was placed on the curb on October 5, 2022 (Wednesday) despite cutting the tree into the smallest portion possible the same day in the afternoon we received a collection notice informing us that the yard waste was to large. (This was more than appropriate to do) My concern is that less than 24 hours later October 6, 2022, we received a second notice from the same truck #. However, after noticing that I did not see another ticket on our neighbor’s yard. I spoke to 3 neighbors on the block who also have "yard waste" some with larger piles than ours and they did confirm not receiving a second/another notice. We did remove all waste from our yard. However, WM did come back out today this morning 10/7/2022 down our block which I stayed in the window this time and no further tickets was written again to our neighbors regarding to the "yard waste". The notices were written by truck # 364075. So, I called WM and spoke to Nick Z. who came across as rude and incorporative at I stated my concern. However, I did ask what protocol for WM was to come out a write collection notice and Nick stated "typically it would be your next pick-up day so weekly" at that time I informed him that WM had been out 3 days in a row. I stated my concerns and asked for his name so that I could keep it for my records he refused to provide his name (other than Nick and finally stated his last initial was Z. I stated I wanted to file a complaint/concern and asked if he had a employee ID #, he stated he could not provide that information. I asked for a name of a supervisor with a number or email to contact. Nick stated" he did not have or know of a supervisor name he could provide but stated there is a Route supervisor and Operations supervisor. I asked for the telephone/email address of either. He stated again there was no name or number he could provide. I re-iterated back to him what he stated. So, Nick you are telling me you do not have a last name, phone number, email address or employee ID that you can provide to me. You are also stating that there is no name, number, employee Id or email address that you can provide to me for a supervisor. There is no email address or phone number that I can file a formal complaint with. He stated yes and stated the only thing he was able to do was take down some information to file and someone would contact me in 24 to 48 business hours. I attempted to provide him with the truck # on the tickets he refused to take down that information. As of now I am totally unsatisfied with this outcome with WM. There needs to be an sufficient amount of time given between notices to correct WM concerns as I am a critical care registered nurse I may not be able to get back out in the yard the same day due to shortages in staff) However, I will make sure that all debris & "yard waste is removed timely (especially as Nick stated by the next weekly trash day).
Desired outcome: Provided a name of supervisor with a phone # an email address to contact from WM. I would like a sufficient amount of time to correct any concerns by WM concerning "yard waste" etc. Equal treatment for all neighbors to be provided.

WM final invoice
Waste Management is a very DISHONEST company. I have been a WM client for a 2 yard dumpster on my property for 15 years. I have always paid on time. I had a renewed two year contract that I made a few years ago for a certain payment each time I had the dumpster dumped. Then out of the blue they more than double their fees... I called an account manager and spoke with Cory. He was rude and unprofessional when I inquired about the increased fee being applied to my account without my knowledge. He said my contract ended over a year ago. So I found another company that is literally a quarter of their price monthly of only having my dumpster dumped twice -- and they dump every Thursday. They are a godsend!
I then received a final invoice from WM for $460 for a single dump and to remove it from my property! Cory did not mention anything about any removal fees, etc. ]The truck gas price was ridiculous! It was a smaller truck that hauled it off and they charged over a $153 for gas! Really?! AND they charged me $215 for a recovery charge AND $16 for removal. They are literal crooks! That is literally high-way robbery!
I have emailed WM twice regarding their unethical invoice and have not received a reply. WM is a horrible company!
Desired outcome: To have the removal invoice adjusted to be the normal dump fee that I have been paying.

Residential trash bill
I had every 3 months payment service with Waste Management for several months, but when they went up on my bill for the 9/1/22 starting service period I cancelled service with them. My last trash pick up was on 8/30/22. I paid my last 3 months of service in full at the beginning of the 6/1/22 service period. But they sent me another bill for $7.89 anyway. I don't owe them anything, I cancelled service correctly and I was paid up totally but they wanted more. I called them on 9/26/22 and after literally almost 10 minutes of automated mazes to go through their automated system hung up on me. I called them back, and after the almost 10 minutes of automated system to get to a line on hold, they kept me on hold for 30 minuets never answering so I hung up and called back and selected the option for them to call me back. About 30 minutes later they called back, and I explained the situation, and asked the male representative to remove the charge, but without saying anything else to me after I explained the situation he put me on hold for 20 more minutes. I rightfully hung up. They can take me to court over $7 if they want to, but I will never pay this because it is not an authentic charge and it should be removed.
Desired outcome: Remove the extra charge. It is not an authentic charge.

Illegal trash collection at 5am violating fairfax county noise ordinances
Regularly, a Waste Management truck performs pickups at 5AM (for reference trash pickup before 7AM is illegal according to Fairfax county noise ordinances) at the loading dock behind the Unique Thrift Store off Gallows Road, which is directly adjacent to the Eden’s Mosaic District Community and about a 100 feet from several apartment buildings in the community. During the pickups a loud blaring backup alarm can be heard, also metal clanging and the trucks loud fog horn can be heard. Because I am not a customer there is no way for me speak to waste management to get this to stop. This morning (9/22/2022 at 5AM) I attempted to speak with the driver (Truck Number 416152) directly explaining that he was outside pickup hours and waking up the whole community and his response was, “OK, whatever”. Next steps if I can’t get resolution here will be to contact Fairfax county code compliance.
Desired outcome: This appears to be a regular pickup / occurrence. I’d appreciate it if someone would contact the driver and people involved in authorizing this pick up and please get it to stop

Im trying to see how long have wait before look for my clothes and remove the dirty syringes
I was told would look through landfill for garbage with clothes in it do thorough search where there dig if bury haven't did yet. I'm still waiting my clothes be retrieve along removing other things from landfill dirty syringes from there too. Along other clothes should remove from landfill. Remove everything don't belong in the landfill. Im trying located in Garbage that has aqua marine light tye dye capris, black pullover hoodie,pink grey stipe long sleeve shirt, and dark blue blue jeans, light brown jeans. Thanks

Residential delivery/ Starting service
Ordered a residential drop off of trash/recycling containers. Order first scheduled for 9/9 and then was pushed to 9/16. Called to ensure delivery would be on that date, was told it would be. Order then pushed to 9/23. Called again to ensure delivery would be on 9/23, was told it had a truck and route scheduled for the day. Did not receive containers or an update on service being delayed again until 9/30. Currently sitting on a month's worth of trash taking up half my garage.
Desired outcome: Trash gone immediately, containers delivered, weekly service initiated. Refund for charge to set up service.

Extra bag charges / overcharging / dubious business practices
Waste management charged me for 2-3 extra bags FOR YEARS. They confirmed this by reviewing their camera footage. They apologized but only offered a refund for the past bill, not the years and years of overcharging I have paid. I escalated the situation and they said “it’s the customers responsibility to make sure they are not being overcharged” even though they admit error. I believe waste management is deceiving customers and adding additional bag charges realizing that no one will notice. Potentially this issue has cost me thousands of dollars.

Disposal service paid, and not received
I was sent a letter saying I could get a refund for services not rendered. WM sent a letter saying this, see photo, because they are no longer picking up in my area. They told me I could not have a refund on service they did not provide, out right refused, even though they sent a letter saying I deserved a refund. In 5 weeks the trash has been picked up 2 times, and before that, I was lucky if they did come every week.
I have the letter as proof that they were offering a refund, and to call the number to receive said refund. I did call, and instead of getting my money back, I was ignored and treated badly, and told that I paid for the service, there is no refunds.
If they did NOT provide a service, my money should be given back.END.OF.STORY. Not even to mention the letter they sent saying I should get a refund, no, get to keep my money and do nothing.
Leaving me to pay for trash service from another company, while I had already paid for my service until November.
Desired outcome: I want my money back, since I have to pay another trash company to come get my refuse.

Service of the Landfill Brimfield Illinois Dirty Syringes bury
I am wondering if you all ever going dig up dirty syringes out landfill along with clothes that was thrown away shouldn't be there among other things. Im trying to see if anyone going even going help me retrieve my missing clothes while process removing the contaminated needles? Dear Waste management no one do anything help me retrieve my clothes said would dig to see my clothes bury on top that told couldn't because dirty syringes in landfill that don't suppose to be allow into landfill show throw anything landfill not caring about Humanity earth soil and water. I notice Peoria dealing air smelling like weird gas from landfill than top overfilling landfill when can remove clothes and dirty syringes properly. employees respectful and helpful whom I enjoy to see how well they are organized and work together , most of all willing to help at least every time I go in that's what I see. I had to say the goods not just the bad only because I really love going to Santa Maria Waste Management location better than to any other place, but sadly on my visit on Saturday an elderly gentleman didn't seem to care of his action. As I was waiting for the workers to finish weighing my material he grabbed a blower and started doing a disaster. I don't know if he realized what he was doing but all the bottle caps, dirt, and also the glass was being blown to my self and other customers and the poor workers too. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else since I enjoy going to this recycle place better than anywhere else for a few years already, but would want this issue to be addressed to the proper management and resolved to make this a wonderful facility, thank you again

Residential service termination issue
Called WM on 8-3-2022 and cancelled WM trash service effective on [protected]. We then received an invoice (#[protected]) on 9-1-2022 for the monthly service in the amount of $33.93.
Invoice #[protected] should never have been generated but now we have WM bill collectors harassing us for payment.
We stopped receiving trash service on [protected] and the tote was picked up from our location on [protected].
Desired outcome: Invoice #[protected] needs to be removed from our account immediately
While I am still waiting for a reply concerning the invoice sent to me for service I no longer have, I also need a final bill sent to my residence.
Looking forward to getting a quick resolution.

Cart Removal Fee
We are military and got orders to move this month. So, I set my service to cancel end of this month. Little did I know I would get charged $75 plus tax to have my can removed. I was never told about such a fee when I signed up with WM. Also, I originally signed up with a different company who was bought out by WM, and services were transferred over automatically. My bill is only $48 ($85 with tax) every 3 months, so why is the fee $75? I shouldn’t be forced to pay a fee I didn’t know about or with a company I didn’t even want to be with.
Desired outcome: Pay just Final Bill and $75 Cancelation Fee not Charged

Left a message to have supervisor call me back. No call in 12 days.
Trash man dropped our trashcan and made a mess and instead of picking up the mess, he drove off. When confronted, he said he was the only gig in town and he could do whatever he wanted. He wasn't going to clean up the mess.
Trash was scheduled to be picked up within 24 hours.
No call no show
Desired outcome: Trash man to pick up our trash according to our HOA contract and stop causing strife. Do your job and be kind.
