container removal fee
I started with WM in April of 2021 and was offered a special price of 60.80 every 3 months (confirmation # [protected]). Since that time, my bill has increased to the current amount of 92.69 every 3 months. I did not agree to and was not notified of these increases. I cancelled my service and was made aware of the 75 dollar pick up fee. I offered to bring my cans to the company site and was unable to do that. I would like the additional 32 dollars that I have paid over the past 9 months to be applied to this pick up fee. I talked to a supervisor who was very rude and unhelpful. Trash and Yard waste pickup
Aug 18 Powder creek off Foley road Belleville IL schedule for Thursday’s Trash pickup did not happen. Cans in place the night before. Truck blasted thru the neighborhood and picked nothing up. Called the next morning. It will be picked up on Friday or Sat. Did not happen. Neighbor called told Friday or Monday. Did not happen. Called myself on Monday it’ll be picked up Tuesday (today) did not happen. And each time the job is shown completed on the phone self service line. Someone in the Belleville area is lying and falsifying reports of completion. this has also happened two times in the last two months with yard waste. We pay full price for partial service. Let us know if we need to look for other service please

Large Item Pickup
I scheduled a large item pickup for August 10th, 2022 (king mattress). As of today (8/22/22) the item remains at the end of my driveway. I have called Waste Management’s customer service line every day since 8/11/22 (sometimes multiple times a day). Each day I receive one of three responses:
• “The item is scheduled to be picked up today.”
• “Our system shows the item has already been collected.”
• “We will be sure to have a Route Manager contact you within 24–48 hours to let you know exactly when your item will be retrieved.”
Regardless of the response, my item remains at the end of my driveway. A Route Manager has never attempted to call me, and a service for which I am paying is not being completed. I am told every day that someone will be there that day to pick up the mattress, so I am afraid to bring it back in the garage in case I miss the pickup.
However, my neighbors are complaining, I have spent several hours on the phone, and Waste Management absolutely refuses to perform their service, or put me in contact with anyone who can help me.
I feel like I’m being held hostage over a trivial matter (garbage pickup), as mattress disposal options are very limited in my area.
I don’t know what to do.

Cancelation fees
Canceled service July 30 2022. We have had service with you for 7 years. Received a bill for $86.91 so called to find out why. Was told being charged $50 to pick up container and $36.91 for environmental. Never had contract and never agreed that I would pay to have you pick up "Your" container. Our HOA asked for everyone to change service because trucks were damaging our roads or would have continued service. I will no longer recommend you to anyone else.

Garbage service
The recycle guy runs late so he grabs the can starts driving while emptying it then throws it down half down the block. I would appreciate it if my cans were put back near my own home not half down the block. We do pay for this service if he is late it’s not my problem he should still stop pickup the can dump it then drive not pickup the can drive wile dumping it then toss it wherever! Had I known I could attach a video I would have took one since I watched him do it.

I don't understand why can't talk owner of the company. I was already told look about associate in suppose be executive office that look and did some digging and look to in one day when wasn't true. I figure since told that at least can go extra mile go ahead do it since wasn't able look while in garbage truck. I was told company worry about losing billion dollars from helping someone find their clothes that wasn't able get access to while in garbage truck be able look before got to landfill. I know there good Samaritan help person out to giving them peace of mind. I notice in this company don't seem like much of that. I hope there one if possible.

Driver of truck #467
Was at Prince William County Landfill on 8/19/2022, at approximately 10am, and driver of truck 467 passed me while I was opening my turnbuckle, I then passed him, since he was so courteous, and he got out and started yelling at me, telling me if I wore the proper shoes, I wouldn't have to do my turnbuckle away from the dumping area. But I have always done this and out of common courtesy, most drivers would wait. The he kept yelling at me, so I got in my truck and shut my door, to get him to leave me alone, and to pull forward to finish dumping, making sure all trash was off, then when I got back in my truck, he had almost backed up to my front bumper, I guess trying to block me in, but fortunately, I am a better driver than he thought and got away from him easily. Then I pulled away and went to an area to close of my truck, and his was videoing me, so I started laughing at him. Would like to state I am a WOMAN, and don't expect this type of stuff from an overbearing man, who is just being plain rude. I will tell you that I met his rudeness with my rudeness, but you should inform your driver to stop harassing women. Totally uncalled for, when he was the one to start this calamity. I am a female driver who drives for Cardinal Disposal and my name is Gina.

We have been charged "overage service fees" without our acknowledgment or agreement for any such charges. These fees started in June of 2022 and July 2022. We never received a phone call, email, or any other notification from the driver or from anyone else. We have been overcharged $268 which we expect to be refunded.
I have spoke with Catherine Maldonado from your Phoenix office, she claims nothing can be done and expect us to consider signing a long term agreement. This is ridiculous. We did authorize any additional charges or increase. It's reasonable to expect communication and confirmation before this would happen.

Waste Management Service Fees
Waste management’s iPhone app is terrible. I couldn’t log on for some reason, and tried to chat with them so I could get my bill paid. After waiting fifteen minutes, being 3rd in queue I gave up. Don’t even bother trying to reach somebody by way of phone.
Once I was able to log in and pay my bill there is a $50 resume service fee, as well as a finance charge. Trying to contact anybody to discuss this, just as ridiculous. Chat window says I do not have a service address, I assume since they’ve cancelled my service. Not sure.
You can’t get ahold of a representative by chat, or phone to resolve issues.
These fees are excessive especially when there was an issue with the app when I tried to pay. I do not even have one of their cans.
Completely dissatisfied with the new ownerships, availability and enormous fees.
Desired outcome: I want my fees waived so I can enroll in auto pay. The fee is higher than my bill for three months of service which is unacceptable.

Garbage and recycling
When your garbage and recycling men pick up the cans they do not make sure the can is fully empty before putting it back down. If there is garbage or recycling still in the cans it goes in the road and they do not get out to put it in the truck. This is the 3rd time it's happened at my residence. We had to stop a truck driver today to pick up the stuff that was left in the toad

My complaint unresolved because waste managment garbage truck didn't want search for clothes when on truck contact you all right away. Hi, I don't remember name talk person earlier sound familiar, but I did talk to a manager at Landfield I thought manager was going search on landfill and he said not going to do that even though told other employees he did search it. He said just going ask around the employee to see if they see it. The employees said didn't, but he said doesn't mean not there could mean didn't pay attention and miss it can be very well in field he said. I was told Landfield was search other people telling me haven't been search and if bury as they say or push over on Landfield would take time to find something like that in Landfield and especially if they had to dig. At least week or more to find it. I wanted someone do thorough search through Landfield. That would like if can hear from CEO manager James Fish higher up telling me really did look into field. Waste pickup
Waste Management will no longer pick up my trash because of a "change in their policy". I am disabled. When I called last week after a missed pickup, the supervisor told me they would try to again accommodate my needs, and she said she would personally call me back when she found out if it was possible. She never called back. After waiting 7 days, I called back and was told that there was nothing they could do, and I should have discontinued my service when I first called in, and that I was also responsible for the this week's missed pickup they never made.
They also refuse to refund over two months of what I paid for pickups, saying "Our policy is we do not make refunds".
I would rate their service as 2 stars at best, but if you ever have any problems, you will be crap out of luck, unless you don't mind being lied to, and screwed out of your money.

Waste Management trash pickup truck man
So on August 10th, 2022 at 1:38 the trash guys were very rude. So began of July I ordered second trash can never told there be an up charge or even got a bill for it. They said we would have the second one by the 19th of July and never got it until August 2. It was the day before trash pick up. So I filled it up with trash and put it out so the trash guy could take it and failed to take it. So today the second week of trash day I put it out again. This time I watched them not take it again this time I asked why they not taking it. The guy was really rude and said it because I'm not paying for a second one. I told him I ordered the second one you guy did give a second one and because you guy made the mistake by not billing us or us or telling us we would have to pay more. When I told the guy that he said that was none of his business and that he doesn't care he still not doing it. But that same guy took full trash that was not waste management trash which I was told from you guys if it is not one of your trash cans that don't have waste management on it you can't take it. I took pictures of the trash can full and empty by those same trash guys. The trash can was a toter trash can. I also saw them drop trash out of the trash can and not pick it up and leave it on the ground. I want to know why is it ok to take trash from a trash can that is not yours when I was told by your company that they can't do that if it is not one of your cans but can't take a trash can that was dropped off by you guy which we did order to have two trash cans.

Residential trash collectors.
On 8/9/2022 around 10:15 am, our trash truck collectors knocked my cable line loose from the pole. Then they picked the wire up and threw it in my yard! This is the 2nd time this has happened and it is always the same 2 people! The other trash truck collectors manage to never knock my cable lines down. It's always these 2. If the guy driving the truck stop driving it and spinning corners so fast and take his time and pay attention to what he is doing this would not happen. I took the truck's tag number. When I called waste management they said the drivers reported it but when I called my cable company they said it was NOT reported. Every time this happens I have to wait hours before my cable, to which I pay on time every month, just like my waste management on my water bill, is restored! Now me and my children have to wait until 5 pm this evening before service is restored.
Desired outcome: I would like for the trash truck driver that keeps on doing this to slow down & pay attention to what he is doing so this does not happen a 3rd time because if it does happen again it is not an accident, it is negligence.

I am a 69 year old disabled, empty nest veteran. I was having troubles carrying my little rectangular green recycling containers down my LONGG driveway. I ended up purchasing a blue rolling recycle cart similar to, but smaller than, my rolling WM 96 gallon trash container. My reasoning was to eliminate the driver and I from having to lift and carry the individual containers since the trucks are capable of lifting containers for both trash and recycling. Additionally, I would have to go to the dump office roughly once a month (+/-) to exchange a container(s) due to broken out corners from the driver(s) stacking them, especially during the winter.
I turned in my three broken containers, and although my recycling was still being picked up using the blue rolling container, unknowingly, my recycling had also been cancelled. I only found out yesterday when my recycling container had not been emptied. I contacted WM to find out why, and was told i had no recycling on my billing. This was weird as I had continued my same payments to WM, but when I checked my account it appears I had built up a credit of $253.00 (?)
At any rate, the woman I spoke with essentially told me that because I choose to recycle, unlike many in our area who put out a filled 96 gallon can as well as stacks of trash bags, I needed to be inconvenienced by lifting and carrying the multiple little green containers down the LONGG driveway, pick up wind blown recycle debris off my yard and street, constantly exchange broken containers, and to add insult to injury, pay additionally for the ‘privilege’ of being environmentally conscious.
My alternative option is to take bags or boxes of recycling materials to the town dump where it is free, very inconvenient due to a couple hours operation two days per week most weeks, and I think WM picks up there anyway.
This is NOT a customer oriented, or environmentally friendly, company by any means...
Desired outcome: I'm willing to pay for recycling, again, but would want allowance to use the rolling cart, for both the drivers' and my convenience.

Residential trash pickup
I have had Waste Management trash service for over 2 years and had no problems at first, until I was late on a payment in December of 2021. I was 5 days late with my payment and went online to pay only to find out that there were fees on my bill that were triple the amount of my actual monthly payment! I called to resolve and about half of the fees were waived. The next month the fees were back! I was told this was a billing error and they were removed. So I continued paying the $23-26/mo my bill was supposed to be. Well the fees kept mysteriously reappearing on my bill and resulted in overdraw s on my bank account. Now I can't get ahold of anyone to cancel my services, after being in hold for hours every day and the fees keep piling up 🤬. AND they want to charge $75 to pick up THEIR container on top of the hundreds they are trying to charge me! I, along with most people I've talked to, am very disappointed with Waste Management

Cancellation
I tried to adjust service in March of 2022. They were unable to. Since they were unable to make any adjustments to correct my service, I've tried to cancel since May 2022.
I've used chat, customer service, account managers (several I have had direct e-mail contact with as well), the manager for account managers, accounts receivable (on June 13), wmcares.com, and ntoacs.com. They all promise a call back within 48 hours. Hasn't happened yet. When I spoke with accounts receivable, I told them I'd pay my bill in full if we could get the issue resolved. They waited on hold for account management for a long time and they ultimately gave. Internally they couldn't reach anyone - and they just gave up (making another promise for a call back within 48 hours)
Since they could not make changes to my service (increasing it), I was forced to cancel and get replacement service that could meet my needs. WM has since placed their bins in front of the other provider's bins and have not removed them despite repeated requests to do so. This is now causing the other service to be backed up and is creating waste issues
I've tried to work with them cooperatively for months and they always say that they need to escalate it and I'll get a call back within 48 hours.
I don't ordinarily complain, but no one from the company has been able to follow-through. It's well-documented and each time I talk to someone, they say it takes them 5-8 minutes to review the notes because they are so long. Even their own reps acknowledge that it's a bad situation and that I've been through a wringer. I feel like this is the last resort.
Desired outcome: Removal of the bins and cancellation of service.I will pay the bill through July 3, 2022 as stated in several e-mails including several hundred dollars of disputed amounts - just to get it cancelled and the bins removed.
How long should I wait for Waste Management to respond? When I've called, chatted, been on with accounts receivable, etc., they promise a call within 48 hours. It's been 48 hours since this was initially posted.

Cancelation of my contract:
On 02/21, I contacted WM representative Ms Brandi my case manager to cancel my service due to the fact that we do not have our business anymore and that the price had gotten too high for us. she informed me that we still had one more year for the contract to expire which would expire 3/22. She never mentioned that we had to give a three month notice. So we kept it another year. We kept the service for a reduced fee. On 8/2/22 I attempted to cancel my service due to rate hike from $230.83 to $293.79. I was informed my contract had been extended automatically for three more years as per the fine print on contract. Which we were not aware of. I never signed for a new contract.
On 8/2/22 I spoke with representative Mr Robert, he informed me we were committed to the extended contract. Early cancelation would cause us $1800. We are retired senior citizens. we cannot afford their fees. WM is trying to keep us hostage. Furthermore their representatives were very rude to me. On 8/3/22, I contacted Ms Brandi, she lied, said she found a wanted add on Career.com for a position for our company. I informed her that was impossible because the company doesn't exist. Due to her inaccurate search, she was unable to cancel my service.
On 8/8/22 after several dropped calls to Ms Brandi, I left a msg with another representative, for her to contact me. She never did. Again on 8/9/22 two dropped calls to Ms Brandi, I was finally connected through main number. She said, that she had done a quick search on internet on 8/3/22 that it wasn't our company's wanted ad after all. But that I still couldn't cancel due to contract. I'm willing to pay our bill up till the day we got service which is 8/3/22. I hope WM considers the four years we paid on time, even though their service is not worth it. I do not recommend this money hungry company to anyone. I just want to end this contract. I don't need their services. I didn't sign any new contract with WM.
The dumpster is no longer being used by us. I've informed them to pick it up but they are not very cooperative. The worst manipulative company I've ever dealt with.
WOW our stories are almost identical! I have three written notices since 2017 telling them not to auto renew our service because the rates were unaffordable but guess what they are now saying my notice wasn't at the right time or something crazy and that I am still under contact. Not to mention the "contract" that we signed in 2016 was for a rate under $100 and our bill is now close to $400 a month. This company uses trickery in their contracts to lock people in. I asked them today to send me a final invoice and if it is a reasonable amount we would pay but I am not paying 400 times however many years they are saying we have to .. totally agree worst company ever - check out Eco-south before you sign with Waste Mgt and if you do sign with them make sure you read every word of the contract and be sure you understand it.
paperless, auto billing fee waived?
I am writing regarding the $8.50 monthly fee that Waste Management waives if a cusomer agrees to receive their bill online and also agree to autopayment directly from their banking account or credit card. I find this to be a discriminatory practice. Specifically, discriminatory toward the senior citizen population.
I am writing to you regarding my parents service, 83 and 88 respectivly. They do NOT receive their monthly billing for any service online. I would like to speak to someone about having this fee waived. This is ageism at its worst.

Account for medical waste
No one at the local office for two years, then no one can set up an account for sharp containers. Told by my local office to set up a new garage account because they cannot do that here... but after they can convert it. Well that did not go well. Gal went on vacation and the only one who knows how. So they delivered a garbage cart. I put it in MY truck and took it back the next day so I would not be charged as there is no way to prevent people putting their garbage in it.
Well now I have a bill for $19.46 and have spent 30 minutes on hold only to be told they couldn't help and gave me the voice mail for a supposed account manager. The frustration is absolutely absurd! I would use anyone else if it wasn't a damn monopoly.
