Termination practices
Upon terminating my contract with the company (Waste Management) at the end of my service agreement, I was sent a bill totaling $259.20 for removal of the container which they provided. This was not a bill for service of trash pickup or for early termination of the agreement. This was for them to retrieve their property. This was more cost than a monthly bill. It is unreasonable to charge for the removal of their property at the end of the service contract. I had been a customer for decades and the reason for ending their services was because of practices like this. I have not located the cost of container removal in my service agreement, if it is there.
Desired outcome: I desire the cancellation of this invoice for the removal of Waste Management's trash container and a end to all correspondence with them.

Greens pickup
Upon return to the US on 1/11 I had set my green cans out as a wind storm left my property strewn with palm leaves. Nothing was picked up and I was told greens were now being collected every OTHER week due to the pandemic, but I could put bundles out to be picked up. I got nearly everything in cans which was collected on 1/20 and then I suffered another wind storm.
I called and said I will need to set bundles out for the 1/27 pickup due to the volume of fallen palm leaves and was told I could, so long as I placed them on the curb of my property and not a neighbor's, and I did not block my own cans. One truck came at 11:10AM which I saw on my security camera, and another came at 11:30AM to pick up the other two cans which the first truck left.
I called at 1PM because the palm bundles were left behind and asked if they were still being picked up. I was assured that truck was en route. I called later at 4PM to say I have never had a truck take hours to reach my home, the rep reassured me not to worry because the trucks would be out until 6PM.
The next day I called to ask why the palm bundles were still there. The gal told me that due to my numerous calls on 1/27 that two trucks were sent to empty my green cans. I asked her when she showed that I called, and she said at 1:09PM. I asked her how my 1PM call could send a second truck TWO HOURS INTO THE PAST to come to my home at 11:30AM and she could not answer. At that point I requested a manager call me.
Jennifer called me later, who did not introduce herself as being in any supervisory role, and tried to tell me that the organic material of palm leaves are not considered organic material and biodegradable because of where I live. Confronted with such an absurdity I told her I did not wish to waste her time further and ended the call.
I called back and got another manager (Connie?) who apologized and promised to review the previous call tapes for misinformation, as she reiterated that palm leaves are not considered to me green waste. (This is a ridiculous constraint that my neighbor's trash service does NOT have!) I conversed with her further as well as Jennifer previously and discovered that green waste from my area is sent to a mulch facility which can not take palms.
WHY AM I BEING PENALIZED BECAUSE WASTE MANAGEMENT, WHO HAS TAKEN PALM LEAF WASTE FOR YEARS, HAS NOW REZONED MY AREA'S GREEN WASTE TO GO TO A MULCHING FACILITY?
WITH ALL OF THE CHANGES IN THE PANDEMIC THAT EVERYONE HAS TO DEAL WITH, THIS ADDS INSULT ONTO INJURY.
Telling me this is because of Zero Waste regulations is a falsehood as the trash service of my other neighbors would have to fall under the same constraint and they DO NOT.
Desired outcome: I need Waste Management to stop witholding the green waste collections that I am paying for.

Rate change
My contract clearly spells out any price increases during the contract period, which we are currently at.
I've left 3 messages over several days with promises on each message that this would be investigated and resolved.
If this is not resolved within 48 hours - I will be forced to file a complaint w the BBB, FTC, Illinois attorney general.
I trust that this will not be needed.

Trash not being picked up
It has been two weeks now since my trash was last picked up on my street, in Riverside (Highgrove). We called today, they said they would send out someone to pick it up, and no one ever came. We are paying for our service and they don't even complete it. We have been sending e-mails, reporting the missed pick ups, and none of it seems to go anywhere. It's not only at my address, all other houses on our street haven't gotten their trash picked up in the past two weeks either. They just mark our street as being picked up when it hasn't been in two weeks now!
Desired outcome: Refund for past two weeks of no service, trash to be picked up.

Convoluted, confusing, and deceptive website
I just wanted to get any updated schedule for my area, and been stymied at every turn. I first tried the local number [protected]), was put on hold for 5min, then was disconnected. I went on the website, but when I went looking, it was like walking through a maze. I did finally get a message to goto [MY WM] under the menu button, even as a guest. I saw NO [MY WM] option available, abd I Still have no idea where the schedule is. It's looking like they do not want to talk to users unless users want to schedule payable services...

Eastvale Riverside trash truck driver stole our gray trash container
On December 28, 2020 our gray trash container was missing. Fortunately we have a surveillance camera and we reviewed the video and it showed the trash truck driver taking our gray trash container with him. I called it in to WM and I asked the lady I spoke to for the driver's name because I wanted to file a police report for theft of property. My neighbor was told that to replace a lost trash container we have to pay $150.00. The lady on the phone would not give me the driver's name, but simply said they will replace our trash container on Monday, 1/4/21. Today a replacement gray container was delivered in front of my home at around 0745. It is a banged up container and the inside is dirty. These people do not realize I crawl inside the trash container, hosing and scrubbing them to keep them clean because I do not like anything dirty and smelly in my property.

My car window was broken
Hi last week Wednesday, my front passenger window was broken by the trash men that was working that route. No note was left, just a broken window. That I am now forced to pay for TWO days before Christmas. It wasn't a break in nothing in my car was disturbed. I had items of value that was on my floor in the back of the car. It was still there, the only thing that was near my car that day was the trash truck. My neighbor wasn't able to catch everything on camera. If someone can please contact me @ [protected]. Trash pick up
This complaint is about advance disposal we have a law suite against them and the city of centerpoint alabamapamrela freeman account number s5102735 and there are 420 other houses surrounded by centerpoint alabama that are in jefferson county alabama advance disposal has never picked up trash from the above mentioned houses we pay for the service but we call in and they refuse to pick it up it has got to be 3 ft by 3 ft by 2 foot tall 1 cubic yard per every 3 months the women at advance are sourcastic and refuse to corporate so we have been paying for service since 2010 and having to haul the trash off ourselves and that cost is added into the law suite you need to get someone out here visit each resident and apoligise for advance and give the women in moody a good talking to we have been paying for service since 2010 and all we get when we call for a pick up is a promise but never a pick up you can come up country view dr and see piles of trash that have been there for years and people have piles of trash in their back yards because advance refused to pick it up when the tornado hit all the houses here in 2012 we expected advance to come around and help but they took all their trash trucks to tuscaloosa alabama and leased them to the federal emergency manage service and the jefferson county trash trucks had to come in and haul all the trash off I have been batteling cancer for the past 12 years and a double hernia and was not able to keep my yard up and bushes grew in the yard so all the neighbors brought their trassh and piled it up in my yard because advance refused to pick it up and if you come up here you will see all the trash and why we started the law suite we paid every time we were billed but we never recived any service we did not have a choice they would refuse to pick up the garbage if we did not pay the trash bill also the account is in pamela freemans name 718 country view dr. Billed overage for my neighbor across the street with their picture 33192145007
They sent me a picture of a bin that was over filled of my neighbor across the street. I called I left a message, never returned call. I called today, was transferred 3 times last one was Cathy Chy, wanted to send some one to verify I am saying the truth. I am a customer for over 25 years. Poor customer service. Time to get a new company.

Missed trash / recycling bin pick ups
My Recycling Bin was scheduled for pick this past Tuesday, November 24, 2020 (bi-weekly service).
I called November 25, but for some reason the phone disconnected just past 5pm (therefore, I missed an opportunity to have them come out and pick up the Recycyling Bin).
I called again at 10:00 am, Friday, November 27, my phone was disconnected AGAIN. I called back at 10:20 am, and spoke to a second representative. He told me that the first representative did NOT schedule an appointment to have my Recycling Bin service. So, the second representative made one.
I also asked, if Waste Management personnel had MISSED the whole neighborhood — Why do EACH homeowner have to call in individually to have it serviced (it would seem to be the proper was to just send out one to collect the WHOLE neighborhood that had been missed). He said, it's their policy.
I ask when will my Recycling Bin be picked up. He replied, it'll be today before 6pm, or next Monday. I asked to speak to a Supervisor as I was not satisfy by his answer. He placed me on hold for about 25 minutes before it was transferred. I stayed on the phone, after it was transferred, and kept holding as the phone rang for another 20 minutes (no one picked up) before I hung up.
I called back a third time to inquired when my Recycling Bin will be serviced. This representative told me that it will be serviced by the end of today (Friday, November 27, 2020).
My Recycling Bin is still sitting out by the curb at the time of this email. I called Waste Management again (800-423-9986) to check and see what happened yesterday. I called the above number and selected the proper numbers to get to an automated answering service. The voice stated that according to my telephone, they were able to determined that my Recycling Bin had been picked up at 7:03pm, Friday, November 27, 2020.
I would not be filing this complaint, had that been true, as stated before... my Recycling Bin is still full and had NOT been serviced at the time of writing this email (Saturday, 3:48pm PST, November 28, 2020).
Please understand, I rather spend my time enjoying life and doing other things than to write this email to complain about a business who simply DO NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT CUSTOMER'S REQUESTS.

Working with the criminal element of waste management
Waste management is a criminal organization on my security camara I viewed waste management pickup my personal waste can 32 gallons and drop it in there truck and drive off, I called and was told that their policy is no replacing but give me a can for 15 dollars a mouth, that is theft of private property.
I am made to pay for service I don't need, I put my garbage out twice a month but being charged for weekly pickup so I am being strong arm in paying for two weeks of service I don't need but let me put an extra bag in the garbage where the top won't close and I am charge for it. Therefore, there should not be one company serving this market. And I will take my complaint to attorney general to find out what other action I can take and go to social media to find out how many other customers fill the same way

I am a new customer and I am extremely disappointed with the service and treatment I have received. I saw the CEO on Undercover Boss and he seemed to genuinely care about the business. That is why I decided to go with WM when I needed a new service for my office building.
I signed a contract on 10/7/2020 to set up weekly dumpster service to begin on 10/30. On 10/30 I received a call they were out of dumpsters and I would receive it on 11/2. On 11/2 I received an email with a picture of the delivery of the dumpster. The problem was they delivered it to an incorrect address. It was sent to the wrong city. I immediately called and talked to a customer service rep named Michael. He said they would have it resolved immediately. No call back.
I then called and emailed my sales rep Reyna and gave her the correct address information. She emailed me back Tuesday morning with a picture of my building and asked where to locate the dumpster. See the email below. I then never heard back or received the dumpster.
It is now Friday and I still do not have my dumpster. I have been calling multiple times daily and getting nowhere. Also never received a call back from anyone. I have talked to several customer service reps. They are friendly and polite, take down the info and I then never hear from them.
I spent over 2 hours on the phone just yesterday and still no dumpster today. I talked to a supervisor named Roosevelt. He appears to be trying to help, but is also ineffective.
I am at the end of my patience. Actually way past that point. I have an office building with bags of garbage piling up. Squirrels are now tearing into it. Your company's inability to deliver as promised is creating huge problems for me and I now have to hire a clean up crew. I need a dumpster a week ago!
After talking to Reyna at noon time she told me the soonest we can get a container is Monday. That is not acceptable. Due to your companies inability to meet the terms of the agreement and deliver service starting on 10/30 I have cancelled my contract.

Residential service
Waste Management has failed to pick up our trash two weeks in a row now. We paid our recent bill and expected to get a refund since we are moving however are being told that on each bill is a notice that any received payments will not be refunded. Not only are they not providing the service they promised but are charging us another 3 months of use when we are moving. Do not go with Waste Management, look for another company.

Double charging for services / rude customer service / incorrect billing
I have been reading a few people that have had this happen to them.
I have been speaking with WM for past week in regards to my account balances which do not make sense. For the year of 2020 I have paid them almost $430.00 for trash services. The amount should only be around $220.00 for the whole year. When I speak to customer service they tell me I have missed payments which is strange because I have over 8 invoices for this year when it should be quarterly.
Has anyone else had this happen? I am literally paid up for the remainder of the year and then again shows another payment due next month.
I have been charged almost $35.00 per month of service when my contract is around $55.00 for 3 months. They play dumb and keep transferring me to different people.
Has anyone gotten legal help on this situation and what was the outcome, I know its only $220 I'm complaining about but its the principal of doing business.
I do know if this isn't corrected or fixed I have the city where I live on board to drop the city contract and use a local trash company. (city of 9k residents)
We are all fed up with their incorrect billing and attitude towards their customers and have all come together willing to use a local trash company.

I literally have all 8 of my invoices and transactions to date and math doesn't add up. They treat me like I am a 5 year old calling and will not listen and interrupt. Glad I have their phone calls recorded as well because 3 of their representatives all told me something different.

Cancellation
I canceled my account and it took three weeks with my container in front of my house before they picked it up and then charged me $100 to pick it up without ever telling me there was a charge. Numerous calls to them, supposed to call back, never does. They keep sending me a bill for the pickup.
Service
We have been struggling to get service for month. The pick up guys rarely empty both of our containers, they leave our container at a neighbors house, and three weeks ago they broke the wheel off of a cart. They routinely promise to replace the cart but never do. This is incompetent that it Is unbelievable! They can do the most basic of trash pick up. What the heck is going on and why am I paying for this complete lack of service. What a terrible company!

Missed trash pick up
Waste management missed 3 pick up's of my trash service at the beginning of the year. I called the company 3 different times to complain as was told that they would pick up the next day or following pick up. They never picked up the following day and my service only comes once a week. Long story short after failing to pick up three different times I shorted my payment $45 (for missed pick up) and noted the check and remittance. Next thing I get is a collection notice from the company for $45. I called customer service and explained the issue and missed dates and the rep stated that they had very sophicated phone systems and didn't see my call or complaint but if I paid the $45 plus a $15 reinstatement fee on my account she'd look into it further. I said NO cancel my service. I wasn't going to pay the fee and extra for their mix up and during this time they also had 'sold' my contract to Meridian Waste. I also told her to have someone come get their can and she stated that WM didn't care about it anymore it was Meridian's and to call Meridian. I called Meridian and went back and fourth between the two companys for about a month and FINALLY WM picked up their can.

Cans being left
I have place my recycling bin out 3 weeks in a row. It has yet to be emptied. I am filling it as I always have.
Also, today my regular bin was left. The food sits and rots in the bin. We pay good money to have this dumped. What is the issue?
Trash pick up
For the last four weeks in a row my scheduled Thursday trash pick up has been postponed to Friday without an email or phone call telling me of these changes. This is very annoying since my trash has to set out all day Thursday in the hot ninth degree temperatures. This, of course, causes it to rot and smell. Also, my HOA does not allow us to leave our garbage cans out in the street for over a day. Every time I call they say the same thing and tell me it may be due to a employee scheduling conflict or a maintenance issue with a truck. After four weeks in a row this is hard to believe.

New customer since July. Took 2+ weeks top receive my trash bins. As of today they have failed to pickup my trash every single week since signing up. They have promised calls back, but they don't call back. Superivisors, same story. Today they told me the place has been marked "serviced" in their system but the trash still sits there on my driveway untouched. These people are criminals.
