I made 4 purchases with my debit card with available funds. Wachovia put those funds on hold then charged me $35 overdraft fee for each transaction when it posted.

Wells Fargo abusive and harrassing phone calls

I have been a long time customer of Wells Fargo having had a second mortgage and a loan at different times. They offered me a credit card which I have paid on time for 4 years. Due to an emergency, I was late with my payment. The calls started the day after the missed payment. I answered and told them I would pay on the 19th when my Social Security check posts. They laughed and told me they would call me every day. They have and I told them the same. On my 10th day past due and I called to see if I could arrange a plan as the daily 8:30 am & 5:30 pm calls 7 days a week were driving me crazy. The Rep offered me a plan where the payment would be more than the regular payment. I could not agree because I can't afford it. I am now filing complaints with any agency I can. If you have been a Wells Fargo Customer don't think they will fairly work with you if you fall behind. If you have a WF credit card get rid of it.

I had my money initially with Wells Fargo in about 2006 in Texas; The advisors, got nasty with me one day and I switched and trusted A.G. Edwards, who latter became Warsovia and presently is under the umbrella of Wells- Fargo . The financial advisor that I went to get and promissed to take great care of my portfolio; lied to me and became abusive, unethical and used every opportunity to intimidate me, give me misleading information and Harass me to the point that I lost considerable amount of money. This advissor now is at Wells Fargo here in Texas. I have yet to find any attorney that could represent me inspite of the loss of my money.
I had to move my portfolio to New Mexico and there the other financial advisor was influenced by the the initial financial advisor in Texas and they continued to mislead me up to the point that they washed their hands to the damage they done and I received a letter where they told me to move my money out of their firm or they would charge more money.
Harrasment, intimidation and causing harm was the name of their game.
Till this day I have been looking for help to recover what I lost. I believe because of their harrasment and intimidation tactics I have a case and should recover what I lost.
I have contacted FINRA but also read that they are not very helpful; that they encourage consumer to persue justice only to leave the investor with no case.
Now I read that in Investment News August 5, 2011 " Former A.G. Edwards execs are out at Wells Fargo." Trio of "old guard "left last month" .
What am I to do now it is clear these financial advisors are wolfs dressed in sheeps clothing.
If anyone, out there knows of a lawyer that would be willing to be trully interested in the justice and protection of my rights. Please let me and others know that there is some hope out there.
There is no justice yet in my situation here in Texas and New Mexico.
These advisors have no interest in the investors, beware . Please Help!

If you want your hard-earned money to be mis-managed, I'd urge you to put your money in the hands of a Wells Fargo Advisor. If you read their contract, and don't understand it, they'll provide you with mis-information and lies.

I completely agree, Wells Fargo "financial advisors" are the worst. They are no more then a teller with a title. After wading through a ton of misinformation from the Larchmont Branch that is costing me over a thousand in fees and taxes, I am changing accounts to another branch. Their "financial help" is laughable and when complaints were logged with higher ups, Lucy Babiryan or Greg Simidian nothing was done. Meanwhile, while on hold for this egregious help you listen to a recording that says how Wells Fargo works for small business and individual banking. Ludicrous.

I have a lot of positive feedback for WF. I have my brokerage account with them along with my personal accounts. Maybe it's different down here in Orange County, but I have to say WF is def. your best choice in this type of market. Their bankers and fc's have always guided me in the right direction, unlike many other financial recourses that hire low paid sales people. Kudos to Wells for keeping my money safe!

Wells Fargo terrible customer service

Worst customer service I've ever had with any bank. A lot of hidden and unexpected charges and fee. When I close the account, the Branch Manager told me I had to personally go to a bank and close it off. When I brought my balance to $0, she said I could call her the next day and she will close it for me. I called and she was never available (either in meeting or on the phone), or returned my call. I found out now, I can just all the general number and close it off. They really suck.

First off, I'd like to preface this by saying that I have worked in a bank in all positions, excluding personal banking and management so I know how a bank should operate and what they are and are no capable of doing, the only reason I no longer have an account at my old company is because I moved from Canada to the US. In addition to this, I have worked in sales and customer service for 14 years. The Wells Fargo that I frequented just opened this week, in a very community based area, which is what makes this incident all the more disappointing.

I had to cancel my debit/credit card last week as I had lost it and while waiting for my replacement card, I had to go into the bank yesterday to withdraw money. I did so by writing myself a cheque to cash and left ( $60 given in three $20 bills). Bear in mind, I don't have an ATM card so that is the only way to get cash from my acct. This morning, I went to buy something in my neighborhood and when I went to pay with one the $20 bills that the teller gave me yesterday, the business owner was hesitant as the bill was very old and looked like it may have been fake (the bill was from 1973). He asked that I get a new bill or get it verified. I wasn't upset, I just crossed the street and returned to the same branch I frequented yesterday and asked that they check the bill and issue a new one if indeed it was a counterfeit- I was sure that the bank would assume responsibility for giving me a faulty bill. ( Any central bank teller, if they are doing their job properly should sort through the bank's bills and remove "mutilated bills"; anything that can be seen as a bill that should be taken out of circulation. The bank sends these back and gets the money replaced with newer bills). The teller explained that she needed to talk to her manager then went to another teller and asked a question. When she came back, she told me that it was my responsibility to know if a bill is real or fake and to take action before leaving the bank. I told her this was ridiculous: I withdrew money from my acct and the teller that deducted that money gave me what appeared to be fake money and because I was in a rush and trusted that a bank carries real money, that's my fault? I told her that understood it wasn't her fault but that I needed to speak to her manager. At that point, she went to get the manager- a different person than the teller she had just conferred with- and when the manager came over to where I was, once he had safely locked himself behind the protective glass (which was just comical, I'm a 110 lb, 5'3 in, female) he finally acknowledged me.

Here's where it get offensive. The manager tells me that " There's no way this bill came from this bank"
( verbatim). When I explained that it's on my acct profile that I didn't have a bank card and that there was no way I got the bill from elsewhere, he went on to say that since it was brand new branch, there was "no way the bill could be from here because obviously, this bill is fake and that would just never happen, we're brand new just like all of our cash." He then went on to say that he understood my frustration but there was nothing that could be done since the bill didn't originate from Wells Fargo. So what I got from him was:

1) Even though I'm client ( with a good banking history) I'm lying.
2) I took the bill I got from the bank and exchanged it for a counterfeit and decided to go to the bank and get them to assume responsibility. ( Yeah, that makes sense. In addition to the hassle, that's just stupid.)
3) It doesn't matter what the situation is, they won't help.
I told him, that it was a real shame that this is the way the branch has chosen to handle things seeing as it's their first week being open in a tight knit community.
Here's the kicker: After leaving, I went across the street to another bank and asked them to check the bill for me. Turns out the bill was REAL and they took it and issued me a new one. So, not only does Wells Fargo treat their customers like dirt while other banks will gladly help but they don't even do the most basic part of their job at Wells Fargo. If the teller and the bank manager had taken the simple step or running the bill under a counterfeit checker, this whole thing could have been avoided. I was sufficiently upset at Wells Fargo and have told the tellers in the competing bank about my experience as well as several others that I came into contact with today. I will continue to spread the word that Wells Fargo stinks. I also dropped everything I was doing at the time to call and file a complaint against the manager and the branch.

It's shame that the unintelligent drones that work there don't understand the concepts of customer service, respectful approach, word of mouth marketing and how one dissatisfied customer can lead to a greater loss of business.

I have seen many complaints about ASC. ASC is a front for Wells Fargo. On the upper right hand side of your bill is a correspondence address. If it is PO BOX 10328 in Des Moines, Iowa 50306 your branch of ASC is affiliated with Edward Jones Mortgage, LLC. These guys are affiliated with Wells Fargo Ventures, LLC. The bottom line is the top of the food chain here as best as I have researched thus far is James Strother, EVP and General Counsel of Wells Fargo & Co.. His listed address (assuming it is his business address) is 633 Folsom St., San Francisco, CA 94107. He sits in a fairly prestigious position on the Wells Fargo Board of Directors.

From what I can tell he is the head of this monster. I have been researching this for a few hours and it is 4:44am so I am going to bed. I will add to this as I uncover. Next up is his phone and fax. There is also an ASC operating out of St. Louis, MO tied to Wells Fargo Resources, Berkshire Mortgage Co. and Texas-Western Co., whoever they are. They are next. Once we have some names and faces to go after we can start asking for professional treatment or we can pursue litigation. It is time to force these skunks out of the shadows they hide in.

Last Saturday, at a local restaurant, I tried to use a Wells Fargo Credit/Debit Card. The card was denied and I was told there was a block on the card. I called Wells Fargo and talked with a customer service person who kept asking for verification questions and after answering the questions, she continued asking for more questions. After the second round of questions I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor read from a script and told me that the $40 dollar transaction was unusual and that is why a block was placed. I told her that I wanted to avoid this problem in the future (Wells has done this twice now) and asked what was unusual about the transaction. She told me it was unusual because of my patterns. I asked what was unusual about the pattern and was told that it was an unusual transaction. I then asked for this person's supervisor and was after introducing myself, disconnected. This is the most hokey unprofessional company imaginable. I don't think they could transact business in a worse manner.

I have an auto loan with wells fargo...they are usually quite pleasant and helpful however TODAY...I spoke with a young woman that obviously needs training in Customer Service and a serious attitude adjustment. She should attempt another career because client interaction definitely is not her thing. I think her name was "Shanika...Shamika" who knows. Get another job girlfriend!

Wells Fargo charging bogus nsf fees

How is it LEGAL for the banks to do these things? After reading everyone else's stories, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one dealing with this, and that I'm not crazy! I've been banking with Wachovia for about a year and a half. I have a checking account with them. During the year and a half that I've had the account, I've paid out around $1, 000.00 in bogus "overdraft" fees to Wachovia.

I'll give you an example - say you have $200.00 in your checking account, and you make a $100.00 purchase using your VISA debit card. If you do not use your PIN, the transaction is run as "credit", the $100.00 is immediately deducted from your available balance, and the transaction is moved over to the "pending transactions", where it sits for 3-5 days. At this point, you have an available balance of $100.00. So now, let's say you make three more purchases - one for $10.00, one for $20.00, and one for $30.00. That leaves you with an available balance of $40.00...

A few days later, you look at your account and realize that you've been hit with several "insufficient funds" fees. You HAD an available balance of $40.00, and all your transactions were already deducted from your original available balance, so HOW can you be negative?

Here's the explanation I got from Wachovia...

According to them, when you make a purchase with your debit card - whether it's run as a debit or a credit transaction - the money is immediately deducted from your available balance, and the transaction is shown as "processing" or it sits in the "pending transactions". However, once the each transaction is posted to the account, they charge them against the available balance AGAIN. You are charged twice for each transaction you made - once when the initial purchase was made, and again when the transaction posts to the account.

So, with the example I gave above, here's what happens...

You have $40.00 in available funds in your account, and your transactions are pending, ready to be posted. Your total transactions are $160.00. Well, since your current available balance is only $40.00, it's less than the amount on hold, so they count it as a negative balance. WHAT? They already deducted it from my balance... why do they deduct it TWICE?

To get bogus fees, that's why. They are ripping people off left and right, and if you ask them about it, you get nothing but nasty attitude and excuses. No one at Wachovia can seem to give a reasonably intelligent answer as to why they operate this way. The only answer I've gotten is "that's just our procedure".

I honestly don't understand how this is legal. It's THEFT.

I've been having the same experience. I balanced my checkbook and thought I had a balance of around $200 yet when I go online to check, it says I only have $60. There were some extra fees there, but when I deducted those, it wasn't enough to explain the discrepancy. I went to my local branch to complain but all they did was print out a bunch of transactions, the same ones I could have gotten off the website. This isn't the first time this has happened. Wachovia is siphoning money out of my account and considering that I have to save up for school tuition, this makes it beyond unacceptable to downright criminal. I've decided that I'm going to close my account and find a good online bank. I am angry but at the same time relieved that I'm not the only one this has happened to.

I, too, am a victim of Wachovia and think I am going to file a complaint with the BBB here in Nevada as well. On more than one occasion, when I did the math and believed myself to be in the clear, they have charged me with bogus NSF fees at $35 a pop! Just today, for example, I was checking to see that my rent check and some other household charges had successfully gone through. There was $40.97 when a check for $35 came through and they bounced it! There was enough to cover this check and they bounced it and charged me $35. This is highway robbery and must be illegal in some way shape or form.

I have decided to fight fire with fire and blow the crap up out of them all over the web, mainly on social network media sites like Twitter and Facebook. I have followed them and become a fan so they will now see my posts and hopefully respond. I want my $35 back and a letter to give to the person whom the check was returned to. This is [censored].

The best is', both transactions have the same number, that is normal at every clearing house, when the second transaction arrives the first transaction must be deleted.
Wachovia has altered his software to raise funds with our money. the first quarter of this year has a 3 billions profit (from our money) and I'm very concerned about this money is used for million dollars bonuses to the biggest thieves at Wachovia.
Sorry for my little english.

A review of my online statements for my checking account with Wachovia Bank shows Predatory banking practices by Wachovia.

On August 15th, 2008 my account balance was $2, 841.52. In my account statement Wachovia banking fee of $280.00 was taking out of my account. Wachovia claims that the $280.00 fee was because my account was negative. However, as of August 18th, 2008 my account has a positive balance.

Wachovia states that the $280.00 fees were deducted because the items that were posted to my account on August 19th, were taking out of my available balance on the date of transaction causing 10 transaction after to be over drown.

Wachovia then deducted an additional $175.00 (dated August 19th, 2008) for the funds that were previously taken out of my account and reduced my available balance on the date of transaction; stating that the date the transactions were posted to my account my account was negative.

How can the amount that was ALREADY deducted from my available balance on August 17th and 18th, (Positive balance) and posted on August 19th be overdraft/unavailable? This is PREDATORY banking practices.

I have since review my account history and found this to be common PREDATORY banking practice of Wachovia Bank.

I asked the State District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and banking Enforcement and Investigation Bureau to investigate Wachovia PREDATORY banking practices. They refer me to the Office of the Controller of the Currency, Customer Assistance Group, 1301 McKinney Street, Suite 3450, Houston, TX 77010, telephone [protected], fax [protected] for assistance.

I would recommend that everyone send a letter and fax to the office of the controller of the Currency reporting the Wachovia PREDATORY banking practices.

I COMPLETELY agree with you! I, too, have been fighting Wachovia over this. It should be illegal! I made complaints to the BBB and also contacted the FDIC, who directed me to another entity. Wachovia "generously" gave back the $105 they STOLE from me as a "courtesy" but ONLY after I reported them to the BBB. They were rude ON the phone, IN the branch and Online. I HATE this bank!

Wells Fargo deceptive auto loan

Wells Fargo Acceptance sought me out for refianancing of my auto loan for a 2005 Ford Taurus. The balance of my loan with Ford motor credit was around $10, 000.00. After expecting the fianancing with Well Fargo I learned through their deceptive practice of charging minorties with higher intrest rates. I learned I now owed them $28, 000.00 to my surprise and I was completely upside down in what my car was wroth in the blue book.
Well's Fargo began harrassing me and I had to seek bankruptcy protection from the State of Kansas. My attorney David Reed of Kansas miss represented me in my case and refused to represent me and I am now facing repossion of my car.

Can you offer any advice for me because they are trying to destroy my credit and are trying to accuse me of stealing my own car. I feel helpless because I belive this is preventing me from obtaining a job.

Any suggestion HELP HELP HELP

I personally think that wells fargo is nothing but a scam. We have been paying on our 02 ford escape for almost 4 years and still have not hit under the 10, 000.00 mark. Our payments are 410.00 every month, when we tried to refinance w/ them thinking it would be a good idea beings we have been w/ them for so long they refused us. These people are outragious and are robbing us.

Wells Fargo they took my money without permission

I made a payment to Wells Fargo and they still went into my bank account and took some more money without my permission, my account is over drawn and so many checks have bounced. They are talking about they sorry. I advised them that I want my money back now. I can not wait until I get at least 2 more years off this stupid *** loan, so I can trade my car in and get the *** away from Wells Fargo. I’m a claims adjuster when I get a single car accident claim and the lien holder is Wells Fargo and the vehicle is deemed a total loss you kind of put two and two together.

My step-daughter has a car loan through Wells Fargo and it has been horrible. They constantly call and harass me (I am the co-signer) about late payments or missing payments. When I talk to my step-daughter she is adamant that she is current and is not behind. When I get on-line and check her account they list it as being current. Now, mind you, she is in the Navy so her payment comes directly out of her checking account. These people are idiots! They have even put unnecessary insurance on her vehicle without asking her, charging her another $1000 dollars. They made her insurance company fax information to them to prove she had insurance. They have taken payments out of her account before due dates, or taken more money out than neccessary. This bank is an absolute nightmare! Stay away from Wells Fargo!

Wells Fargo foreclosure

I agree with everyone on this comment board and I am so sorry to hear about all the trouble that you are all having. This is the reason I started my company. I have helped several people that have mortgages with ASC, Countrywide, and other mortgage companies that don't seem to care if they harass people or suck them dry. The comments I have heard are along the lines of trying to get blood from a stone or turnip, or something like that.

Contrary to what some people have said on here, I am not trying to be one of those people I mentioned above. My company is a nationwide company that provides services for people that are at the end of their rope. One of the helpful things that we provide is letting you know, before payment for service, if we can assist you and if we can not. If we can not, we tell you why not and what can be done to allow our company to assist you. Most companies won't do that, but we will also give you the reasons why exactly so that, if you should choose a different service, they will not be able to scam you. Now that's a way of saving money too.

I have a service that actually will take you out of the loop of contact with ASC, or Countrywide or whomever you have servicing your loan. All you have to do is tell me how we can help you. By that I mean, tell us what you are looking for us to do for you and we will pursue the help that you want, no matter what. We have all aspects of the mortgage business covered from being a mortgage mediation company, a title company, a real estate company, all the way to having access to attorneys for litigation or help to avoid foreclosure. No aspect of help is turned away.

Let me tell you, most of the customers that I deal with have told me about the fear and the frustration of working with mortgage companies that don't seem to care or give them the runaround. To be totally fair, mortgage companies have their ways of dealing with people. Some are good, some are horrible. But one thing all mortgage companies love is being vague. When they are vague, they don't have to give you information until you ASK for it. How does that help you? How can you try to save your home if you don't know how to ask the right questions?

That’s another reason why I created this company. I take your number out of their "system". When they mail you something, it goes to me. I take the burden away from you so you can live your life without the phone calls and the letters. And the rudeness! Oh, man, if I told you some of the stories I have heard...let's just say, it’s not pretty.

I know that some people are going to look at this comment and go, this guy is trying to drum up business. Well, you're right. But here's the kicker. I used to work in mortgage collections. I used to make the phone calls and send the letters. I used to work around the people that make your lives hell. And I kept asking myself, why? Why are these people not being told about the help that’s readily available? Why are these people not being helped to make payment arrangements that are realistic? Why does this company care more about the money than about customer service when that is supposed to be their primary objective?

That's why I got out. I can not stand collections. Just because they are hiding behind a company name they think that they can say anything or act anyway they like with the customers, being friendly with one and the next 40-50 they can treat like crap. Where is the customer service?

I take all that frustration away from you and create solutions that work. I know that it may be hard to swallow, but I do. I have done it for several people. And I can do it for you too. If you want more specifics or just want to talk to me, call my office at [protected] and check out the website, which is being updated with a few new options available. And this isn't just for people facing foreclosure, people that are current and want to pay off their home early, call me. I can and will help as many people as I am able to. I have been in a 10 percent interest only Mortgage with americas servicing company for 4 years. I have been through 3 foreclosures and will going into my 4th. I have worked very closely with americas servicing company ASC on the loan modification process to prevent foreclosure and they have used consistant STALL TACTICS. These tactis include LOSS or claiming never to receive paperwork. Incomplete paper with notification as long as 3 months later to tell you your paperwork is incomplete. NO goverment affiliation or programs offered (ASC is a servicing company for note not a bank) they are not working with the federal goverment on any foreclosure prevention or lower interest. They only work with the guidelines of the note holders approval. There latest tactic was to inform me my title was in lien status. After 6 weeks of research and contacting mutlitple ttle companies and escrow companies I have learned that mortgage lenders when selling loans use a system called MERS Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, this was to save them money on not filing recording documents, title paperwork or paying fees, keeps the mortage lien with the original lender that the loan was paid out by. So when itcomes time for you to refinance or modify this loan it will show the original note holder and previous lien holder on title. They ASC wells fargo told me thatthis was my issue to solve and after many weeks it has become clear that notonly is this not my issue but my titl was clear and correct and was never in a lien status for them to deny me. AGAIN by using stall tactics these companies continue to make high interest, foreclosure fees, late fees, escrow fees (which is crazy because as we just learned they don't use escrow companies.) I feel like sue them, I filed for my loan modification in April 2009 and now DEcember 2009 i have not made any progress with this company have been denied a loan modification because to the liens from previous lenders that were paid in full. I faxxed them the conveyance paperwork, the title reports, the county on line links to the documents showing NO current liens and me as the primary person on title. And still the ASC wells fargo representive MArgaret Stalls says I need to fix the title. My reply " there is nothing to fix!" Wow so if i count the months and the 10 percent interest only payments 3200.00 month, times 10 is 32, 000 plus late fees, plus foreclosure fees and I am at 42, 000.00 to release my home from foreclosure. They are of course offering to put it on the back end and my new payment will be 2200.00 which is still almost 6%. What a deal, make the loan bigger, still pay a ridiculous payment and cause my life and unrest! Thanks Wells fargo and ASC Call State of Iowa Attorney Generals OFfice and you will talk to a representive that has filed 3800 complaints of similiar nature. I am sure the Senator for this distric is well padded.

They are crooks and I agree with you. ASC uses stall tactics. Do you think it help to send a letter to the Attorney General in Iowa or is it a lost cause? I live in New York and can't find out anything about this company othr that it is dba Wells Fargo, but Deutsche Bank is foreclosing. I can't figure this one out - so are they the note holder? That is not what is not the name on the note! Help anyone to explain this to me.

I think that is great that you have started a company to help people, but you shouldn't have to.
I understand that it is not ASC's fault when someone is legitimately behind on payments, however, the way that they treat people is unacceptable and, frankly, immoral. We are behind on our payments and have been working since April to get a short sale approved. We have faxed our paperwork at least 10 times. We are first told that it is rec'd, but not scanned into their system. We are later told that it was never rec'd. It is July and we have not gotten one thing done with them. Each time I call, I have to schedule and hour to talk to them and end up crying at the end because they have no answers and just don't care. Now, we have a foreclosure date in September and they say that they have time, yet it could take 90 days. We have already spent over 2 months trying to work with them. My point is, treating people like this should be illegal. They are playing with people's lives. Does anyone know of anyone to file a complaint with?

Wells Fargo they are ignoring me

I refinanced a car with wells fargo auto finance in 2005, in the contract we (my wife and I) signed they added to the total loan the amount of 2.970.00 dollars saying that BBB and they answered that check had been cached by me, sended me a copy of the check with our endorsments in the back. I know I never cashed the check and of course never got that money, I been trying to contact Dannie L Goodwin, the person from wells fargo auto finance that responded my complain to BBB and that sended me the copy of the check, left more than 25 voice messages and e mails and never got an answer or a call back, I am trying to track that check to find out who got it and cashed it. somebody got the check and the money and I am paying for it, that lady doesn't care for her customers as long as I can see.
maybe, when weel fargo payed the previus loan to GMAC, they sended the total loan amount and also the 2970.00 that I was supposed to get, by the way, never asked for that loan...
all I want to know is what happend to the check, who got the money, why and how and get that money myself and the interests ir generated.
thanks for your help

Horrible company!
The auto finance department claims there is only 12 employees in the department. They are all rude! I have never dealt with any company (especially financial institution) as awful to deal with as this company.
I helped my 83 year old neighbor sell her car to get out of the 'rip-off' lease deal she had. We sold the car. We went to a Wells Fargo Bank Branch to payoff the loan. The branch could not even get in touch with the auto finance dept. It seems like this part of Wells Fargo is run by people who like to toruture us.
They lost the title of the car. Would not communicate with the bank that has the new lean against the car. It has been such a mess!
PLEASE DO NOT GET A LOAN WITH WELLS FARGO!
There are other banks that will do you a better service!

An excellent mortgage servicing fraud's website.

In nov 2006, wells fargo home mortgage made escrow errors on my mortgage loan, and after an ugly year of illegal charges piling up on my mortgage, they think they have the right to steal my home! finally, in october 2007, wfhm admits (by letter) they made the errors that resulted in an illegal judgment against me for $12, 000+ over what I truly owed on my home. on their papers they corrected my loan balance, and contacted credit repositories to remove the negative reports they made in error, but after sending me a letter telling me everythinig was worked out on my loan, and the judgment would be reversed by their attorney, they sold my home at a sheriff sale. I now have to pay double the amount of what I owed on my mortgage to redeem my home. if I can get financing. i'm disabled and divorced. I was hospitilized and during this time they took all the steps and received a judgment against me. I wasn't even given an opportunity to present the truth. I didn't even know they were in court! they told me all was being worked out and their errors fixed. I can't afford to fight them. they are wrong, they know they are wrong, and yet, without looking back, they stole my home. before their escrow error, I had a perfect 14 year mortgage history with waterfield mortgage. when they closed my credit score was 740. now my credit score has dropped over 200 points, and I can't get help. wfhm has a profitable scam going, and they close their eyes to the human beings they don't deserve to have as their clients. I promise you, wfhm, if you do not cease and desist in your fraudulent actions against me (and millions of other shell-shocked home owners), and if you do not make restitution, I will continually create and search for ways to make my name one you hear on a daily basis. it is my goal to gather together other people you've hurt, cheated and stolen from, and join forces to become your biggest servicing challenge! I will design a web page (in several languages), distribute e-books, publish press releases worldwide, and, I will be absolutely relentless in my pursuit to not only reveal the ugliness in wells fargo bank, but to also secure compensation for the irreversible pain and loss you've caused so many. without blinking an eye.

My heart goes out to everyone who is suffering at the hands of a predatory lending scheme. I'm going to share my story with you AND THEN follow up with someone who was able to, just very recently, get Wells Fargo to help them. I want homeowners, or recent homeowners, to at least call and/or e-mail Cara K. Heiden, Mary Coffin, and Sharon Cecil in the WFHM Executive Office. I give you their e-mails, direct phone number, and address below. Please try. I'll say prayers for you and your dear families. Remember, keep trying. Expect God to bless you. And I know he will.

In November 2006, Wells Fargo d.b.a. American Servicing Company (ASC) decided to escrow on my mortgage loan. For no reason. My taxes and insurance were always paid on time. Theyd never escrowed before. Then, instead of paying my annual property taxes once, they paid them twice. And I had already paid them. Then they pre-paid my property taxes that werent due for another year. Id never had an escrow account with them, so usually the balance was zero. Now it was -$5500.00. My mortgage payment increased from $655 to $1446 a month. I cant pay it.

Wells Fargo admits their error. They promise to fix it. Then they dont. Again they promise to fix it AND reverse all the late charges. Doesnt happen. No one corrects the original mistake so the snowball effect is creating havoc with my mortgage, with my credit, and on my life.

ASC Phone calls and letters threatening foreclosure were relentless. I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve the problem. So many ASC Customer Service agents promise all your problems are taken care of, rest assured. When you check the next day to confirm all is well (youve learned to check) they can't even find a note in the record that you ever called. So then I am forced to start the process to correct my loan all over again with a different agent (weird isn't it that you can never get the same agent because they don't have extensions, and they refuse to give you their last name. They will give you their three-letter employee ID code that has never helped me a bit. Many agents refused to give me the companys physical address when I wanted to talk with someone face to face. Over this six-month nightmare I was assured over and over and over, that yes, definitely this time, they had truly made the corrections I had been assured already been made. Yes, isnt it wonderful, my mortgage loan had been approved for loan modification and the loan I’d been told dozens of time had been reinstated, had really for sure this time been reinstated. I was always told I would receive a letter confirming all was well with my loan. I was told not to make any monthly payments on the loan because until the correction had been processed through their system, the payment would be considered a partial payment and would be returned to me. So in February and March I couldnt send in a payment because the monthly payment amount was never corrected. I was forced over and over again to start the agonizing process from square one with another agent. Most agents couldnt find any notes in my record. I had the brilliant idea that faxing the whole story, along with receipts, and other requested forms, would be the answer to our communication problem. I would finally receive a letter confirming receipt of the requested documents. Four days later Im told my documents were never received so my home is in foreclosure.

On April 23, 2007, I was emergency admitted into River Oaks Mental Hospital for 10 weeks due to a complete emotional breakdown. I was suicidal and unable to care for myself. Wells Fargo Mortgage made a mistake, and acknowledged it. However, they were unable (or unwilling) to fix the problems their error created. My sister was given power of attorney so she could resolve the issue. Upon discharge from the hospital an ASC agent confirmed my loan had been fully reinstated, the payment had been corrected, the escrow balance adjusted. They promised the late charges and additional interest charged because of their error would be credited back to the account. I insisted and they agreed they would contact the credit agencies to report their mistake, remove all negative remarks, and change all comments they had made regarding my mortgage account to paid as agreed.

Two days later I received a notice advising me of the sheriffs sale date set for my home.

My home was my savings account. And it was my retirement account. More important, it was my security blanket.

The October 3, 2007, sheriff sale date has been postponed and Wells Fargo has told me they want a satisfactory conclusion to this nightmare. Ill keep you posted. Today is October 9, 2007.

WFHM admitted errors and apologized in two letters received on October 24, 2007, and October 29, 2007, from Todd M. Boothroyd (contact info shown above), credited $12, 000 to my mortgage loan, corrected the negative reports made to the credit repositories, reinstated my loan. I breathed my 1st sigh of relief in nearly a year.

THEN THEY SOLD MY HOME AT A SHERIFF SALE. They took my home, almost $100, 000.00 in equity, and I'm lost without my home. God Bless my 70-year old mother who is now forced to take care of her 46-year old, disabled, daughter. I still believe something good is going to happen. I really do. Two years of fighting for all I'm worth just can't end like this. I will NEVER stop trying to find restitution and peace. And I will NEVER STOP sharing my story just in case it might prevent someone else from losing their home. From facing agonizing months on end. Being turned inside out with fear and pain. From losing their retirement, their live savings, their security. If I had children, I don't know how I'd be able to face it. I don't know how these companies are able to do what they do to famies who have trusted them. It just breaks my heart.

BUT remember, some of the readers of my blogs have been e-mail me sharing good news about the help they are beginning to receive from Wells Fargo Bank. So DO NOT GIVE UP!

I know help is coming soon for all families facing foreclosure. God Bless anyone who helps someone keep his or her home.

OK - wow, how do you share your heart so well? You have blessed me with your success story. Can you imagine how many others will be encouraged, uplifted, and energized when they read your words?

I wish you would have been able to do the FOX interview! It sounds like God is using you by giving you so many opportunities to share your story! Very few people go to the forbearance table with a specific plan, a win-win for both the lender and the homeowner. That is key and something I never considered.

Both investors and lenders would most certainly warm to homeowners who calmly expect a successful resolution.

May I ask where you posted your story? I want to go the site and read it!

Now, I ask for your prayers. I lost possession of my home two weeks ago. Your letter, your warmth, delighted my being! Once again, PERFECT TIMING!

You've energized me to get your story out and get back to what I love doing. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I really love being thought of as a guardian angel. I so very much want God to be able to work through me. And I've prayed for specifically that just within the last few weeks. So wow, thanks so much for your affirmation. Hugs and Kisses to you, to your family, and may your holidays be filled with joy, and peace. Aaahhhhh. Sweet, sweet peace. God Bless You, all of you.

Hi Kelly,

Where do I start? I read your letter to my family tonight (taking a deep breath with every new sentence) Thank you!
And yes, you can post any, and all of my stories. We're in this together.

The blog you posted saved our future! The key to ASC success was dealing with one individual, and after sending emails to Wells Fargo's President, V P, And CFO, I had a response in four days from ASC! My wife was the one who took the call that morning while I was out dropping off the kids at school, and when she called me on the road with the news which was:"We are calling you from the executive department of ASC, and are very sorry you have had to go through this, we are assigning you to an individual who is going to get things straight, and it doesn't get higher than this", I could not believe what I was hearing, something that we worked months on with nothing but confusion, misunderstandings, three months delinquent, then all of the sudden...this? It was like seeing 911 all over again, I don't believe what I'm seeing, and hearing!

I wept behind the wheel to the point of almost having to pull over, but continued driving because I needed to get home to my wife and hear it again in detail. As I walked through the door, I saw this look of disbelief in her eyes mixed with a joy I have not seen for a long, long time. When I sent those emails out, I never thought a reply was coming, but something happened. In the subject line of those emails read "Why do you want my home?" I proceeded to explain the 100's of horror stories written by ASC victims, and how they all sounded alike, as did mine. The one question they had to ask when contacting my wife that morning was "how did he get that email information?", and my wife's reply was "you can get almost anything off the internet these days", which is how I found you Kelly.

All I did was Google "ASC Complaints", and OMG, there you were, along with more than I could handle. Fox Television even contacted me based on a blog I submitted, and had been getting so many calls, yet mine stood out, and wanted to do a live interview with me at my home, but I had to decline, for that was the day we were to get the news on the Special Forbearance Option that was about to be put into motion. We got the forbearance, yet within a week, ASC called back, and based on a plan I suggested they use, was submitted to the investor, and they approved it three months ahead of schedule.

All of the delinquent payments were then rolled back into the loan, interest reduced, payments reduced, and the rest goes into the history books. I've got you to thank for this Kelly, and I have passed this info to others whom have contacted me, and told me that they are starting to move forward in a positive way. ASC has also told me that the plan I suggested they implement for us, will now be used in other situations. A plan that has never been used before. I'm a Realtor, suffering like everyone else, yet WAMU agreed to a loan mod on another property that I own, and worked so well, I had to tell ASC where they were falling short, and how this plan could make it a win, win situation for the both of us. 3% year one, 4.5%, year two, 5.7%, year three, and every year thereafter.

So there you go. It's snowballing, and God used you, as he has used me to help those who are at a total loss as to who to trust, and which direction to go. I still look back on that morning when I got that call from my wife, and immediately thought of you. I saved your blog in Microsoft word, and was able to retrieve it. I needed to say thank you over and over again. I'm a firm believer that when you do good for others, good comes back to you. You're a God send Kelly, and I owe so very much to you for what you have taught me. If not for that information I just happened to stumble across that day while on a last chance mission, our home would now be gone. A million hugs and kisses to you my dear, you to are a totally awesome person!
A wonderful Christmas to you and yours!

I believe in miracles Kelly, and whether you know it or not, God appointed you as my guardian Angel!

Warmest regards,

Jeff Taylor

Subject: i'm so happy for you! Thank you for your kind words - they mean more to me than you could know.

wow -- I can't tell you how much your kind words were needed today. 30 minutes ago, I said out loud (only my dog hears me) "God I HAVE to have some good news TODAY!" Your e-mail may have been written a few days ago, and I'm sorry I didn't get your voice mail, but God used you tonight, Jeff. Just knowing you took the time to write is awesome. You will just never know, honestly, what a blessing you are.

So many people are hurting, and your encouragement took a 200 lb load off my heart and gave me double the strength and motivation to keep reaching out.

People are so scared to trust anyone - and they should be. May I share your e-mail with others fighting to keep their homes -- and prayerfully SOME equity? I do understand if you aren't comfortable, and I promise I won't send it any further. I have to ask because I know what it would do for so many facing the same mind boggling struggles. So let me know if you are comfortable with passing along some smiles.

GOD BLESS YOUR HEART. I THANK GOD ABOVE THAT YOU WERE BLESSED WITH A POSITIVE OUTCOME.

If you have already written your story anywhere, I'd love to read it! I want to know (I promise I'll keep everything confidential) who finally cared enough to help a hurting homeowner!

Yes, I'm still in my home but now after Wells Fargo Bank dba Americas Servicing saga was all worked out, loan reinstated, $12, 000+ credited to my mortgage account -- 20 days later my home was sold at a sheriff sale. I walked with eyes wide open smack dab into the middle of a foreclosure rescuer scam artist LLC. "Equity-Strippers." To just say just the very least, and leave you alone, they forged a Quit Claim from me to them, mortgaged my property to the max hat at one time had significant equity (for me) and now I'm fighting with

APPLE ASSETS LC
BEID: 3016292
DARRIN T. VOLK AND LARRY HEDENKAMP
9379 WEST 75TH STREET
OVERLAND PARK, KS 66204

under investigation for mortgage fraud, forgery, and sexual battery -- six identical cases in court at the same time all Quit Claim fraud, all forgery, but I'm still fighting just so exhausted. DEAR LORD, WHAT'S UP? I don't know where my story ended with you, but let me know if you want to hear anymore about the pain these lenders lovingly spread around -- if I were you and FINALLY had a happy ending, I sure would understand if you prefer to move on.

If I had a happy ending, well, I'd still stay very very deep in this. Too many people have too much to lose. And they are losing it.

Tonight I'm going to take my legal books away from this laptop, and pray a huge thank you for your happy ending. So, so nice.

Thanks for sharing.

Wells Fargo Auto Finance ripoff hurting millions of common Americans!
I purchased a vehicle in late 2005 and used Wells Fargo as my finance company. I added the vehicle on to our existing insurance policy with Allstate and maintained that until switching agents (still with Allstate). We then changed to a family agent who placed us with TOPA/RMIS. We have never... (paste the above info into your web browser to read these full stories.)

do not waste your time trying modification.if u do not make enough money u cannot modify your mortgage through wells fargo. if i had enough income coming in i wouldnt need modification. i am out on permanent disability, due to having only 30% heart function. so needless to say i dont bring in monthly from ssi disability, versus what i mad on my job.
i did not receive my first disability payment fromm ssi for 6 months, ans yes i staid 1 month behind on my payment, continually getting harassing phone calls, up to 3 times a day.i even explained that i had heart problems and the call seemed to get more frequent. wells fargo ceos and presidents will burn in hell, because of the way they do people.
i caught my payment up, and my march 1st payment is due, and it is only march 6th and i am receiving phone calls already, they do not care for people, they only care about padding their pockets. i will stand in heaven and laugh at them as they burn in hell. hope the money is worth it boys and girls.

Over the past 10 years, I have never been late on my mortgage payment. However, the last two months I paid my mortgage on the very last grace period day. Big companies do it all the time and save money by not paying early, rather earning interest. Twice now I have had a Wells Fargo representative call my home asking about the payment. I explained I paid on time and have my receipt to prove it. This last time the rep had the audacity to ask why I paid so late. I told her it was none of her business. She then said that their system can't check for my payment for 3 to 5 days because I "Apparently made the payment at a branch." I was furious! It is none of their business as long as they get their money, and I'm outraged at their insinuating accusations and personal questions. Perhaps it is time to refinance with Bank of America. At least there they don't harass people, and their system can check and credit a deposit or withdrawl immediately.

We too are getting the run around about doing a Modification on our home. I lost my job March 2008 and had to have major surgery two months later so we got behind on payments. Living (on unemployment)paycheck to paycheck we could not do a "repayment plan" which they kept trying to force on us for about the first six months. Then they told us they were working on a loan Mod and for us not to send any payments for three months. We were told we didn't qualify (aft we were 3 more months late of course) and they did a memoritorium which one CSR stated we only have to send in 3 whole payments or send what we can then when whole past due amt is due they will try to see about putting it at the end of our loan and lowering payments. This was exactly what we have been trying to accomplish but keep getting different letters from different states saying different things and when we call get different people who say different things also. The very last thing in this ongoing saga is the Supervisor of Collections stated to set up 3 payments to be taken out of my checking account then when they get paperwk will work on Ln Mod. We have since got another Forebearance stating we should send the 3 payments to Loss Mitigation in Ft. Mill, SC. So now one dept will have my payment and another will say we voided the forebearance by not sending THEM the payments! The right hand don't know what the left hand is doing and I think it is all a ploy to put you off so they CAN get your house. They want all that Gov't Money just to take your houses. I personally think Wells Fargo should've just stuck with Armored Car Services!

I received a call from Wells Fargo customer service department stating that my request for a loan modification was again denied. This has been a revolving door for thirteen months ago and I have been toyed with, lied to, put off and undermined although under the stimulus plan, I meet qualifications.

Having never been late, the mortgage has been on time and Freddie Mac is the investor. I have provided documents per request as required. They have either lost, or claimed to have not received them. In due diligence, I persist to provide everything requested in first born if I had one. I ask for the make home affordable modification plan, yet I’ve expressed in writing in several packages sent out (over 6) that I have been experiencing financial hardship due to divorce in 2007 and my second income has all but disappeared. Each time, Wells continues to give me bureaucratic ‘fluff’ and then denies my application each time.

Wells has completely prolonged ignoring or acknowledging my request for a modification although I qualify under the Make Home Affordable Plan since Freddie Mac is the investor. They are setting me up to loose the property.

This is the biggest rouse on the American public. I am humiliated having wasted time over and over again on earnest efforts to keep my mortgage payments timely by any means. This is utterly ridiculous and the worse fraud, knowingly that there are no intentions of modifying mortgages under any plan.

I work for a non-profit organization that has provided assistance for homeowners to keep their homes. We act as a third party on behalf of clients. I approached the lender representing myself. They have performed such injustice with out plausible consideration or goodwill. This appears to be covert fraud and misleading. I hope that there is a procedure that will investigate the processes within the department, the paper trail and how the program applicants that should otherwise qualify are determined that they do not qualify, namely me.

Wells Fargo late fees

WELLS FARGO SUCKS - they love to collect late fees and their customer service department does not care if they lose customers - they would rather collect and additional $29 from you than keep you as a loyal customer! I had made 3 payments within 30 days and was charged a late fee because the 2nd payment made was 2 days before the beginning of the next billing cycle and the 3rd payment was made 1 day after the due date. Just because my 2nd payment did not hit in the next billing cycle they charged me $29 and really didn't care that I was making multiple payments within the 30 day period. What company would punish you for actually paying your bill? WELLS FARGO that is who - I will never finance anything with them ever again! That will be the last $29 they will ever get from me. Trust me my husband has had the same issues, no one wants to do business with them!

I have a 0% interest loan with Wells Fargo to purchase a Temperpedic Bed. Initially I thought this was great, but I had to learn the hard way that Wells Fargo is not in the business of banking but the business of scamming. I use my automatic bill pay to process payments that are due to wells fargo on the first day of the month, which is the only day I can make a payment without incurring a late fee. My payments are post marked and mailed before the first of the month, but because wells fargo does not process the check until whenever they feel like it, they are assessing a late fee on my account. I have refused to pay the late fee, and they are now assessing a LATE FEE ON THE LATE FEE!
I have contacted consumer services to address this issue, because this can't possibly be legal, and I can't imagine how many others are going thru this. I urge everyone to contact their consumer services with these issues; something has got to be done about these scamming companies, doing business as banks.

I had the similar problem. I bought some furniture and received a 0% loan from MOR Furniture through Wells Fargo Financial, (Another place I will never do business with again but we will not go there now) I auto pay all my bills bi-weekly on my payday. My payment due was $146 per month. I wanted to pay my loan off in 24 payments which calculated to $126.00 bi-weekly ($3, 024 / 26). So I was basically paying $252 per month. Wells Fargo set up the “Due Date” on the 8th of the month but they have a different “Statement Date” that WAS LATER, it drifted around, June 13th, July 14th. With this scam, sooner or later on the bi-weekly payment plan they will apply 3 payments in one month and only one on the next month. I just had this happen and I was charged a $25.00 dollar late fee (they could have charged me $35 per their terms and conditions). I paid on 5/16, 5/30, (for June 8th) and I paid on 6/13 and 6/27 for my July 8th payment. So with their drifting “Statement Date” they put my June 13th payment which was made 5 days after the “June Due Date” on my June statement. My next payments were 6/27 and 7/11. Both of these payments were applied to my July statement. So even though my statement showed I paid $252 for the month they said I was late because they did not receive $146 by July 8th. They said there is nothing they could do and they could not refund my $25.00. I then nicely asked how I could file a consumer complaint. They put me on hold for about two minutes (must have been talking to a supervisor) and then they said they will allow a “one time refund” of $25.00. (we will see how long it takes to get it) I am paying off this loan and canceling the account next week. I bet I am not the only one that had this problem.

For one thing, if you have a bank w/ online bill paying, use that to send a check for your bills about a day before they are due. I've had Wells Fargo try that scam w/ me. I promptly called my bank (USAA) and they sent a fax to Wells Fargo w/ proof of when my payment was received by Wells Fargo. But, please read my posting under WELLS FARGO FINANCIAL. Start those ten cent checks now! They'll eventually get the message if we all unite!

I have had the same problem with being charged late fees, they said I was making my payments to early and that they were posting to the previous month because they were recieving before 3pm on the billing date. I don't understand how they recieved my last payment on the billing date by 3pm when I purposely mailed it at 5pm on the billing date and I live 3 states away from where my payment is mailed to. They are back posting the payments so it looks like they recieved them on the billing date and then they charge you a late fee for not paying for that month. I mailed my check at 5pm on July 3rd and my check did not cash until the 7th and they are saying that they recieved my check before 3pm on the 3rd. Now if I dont make another payment by July 28th, they will charge a late fee. This has happened 3 times in one year. I will never bank with them again!

Wells Fargo hold on my money

I have to say that Wells Fargo pissed me off for the last time. I made a deposit exceeding 5k on 6/13/08 so there was a hold placed on the check and was told on 6/16/08 by a phone banker that the hold would be removed on 6/17/08. I then questioned him several time to make sure because I needed to write a check against those funds. They assured me that it would be removed on the 17th and it would be okay for me to write a check and as long as the person I was making it out to did not try to cash it on the 16th I would be fine. Well let me tell you how surprised I was on the 17th to see that the were now holding the funds until the 20th. So I called again to see what was the problem and was told that the can extend the hold at any time but when I got upset they said that if the check came in before the hold was lifted they would not return it. Well need less to say the check that I wrote to my 401K was returned and I was charged NSF fee after I was promised by two different supervisors that they would note my account and the check would not be returned. I can't wait until the return check clears to I can get my money out of there.

Did you ever consider that the check you deposited was bad and the bank could not collect the funds from the bank it was written from? Did you ask a manager to verify the funds so you could get access to your funds sooner? Finally, why would you write a check to your 401k that you knew you did not have available funds to cover? That's check kiting, and it's a crime. The bank did the right thing by putting a hold on your check and if I was a shareholder of that bank I would give their risk manager high-five for protecting me from deadbeats like you.

Wells Fargo abusive and harassing phone calls

Because of an emergency I fell behind on my credit card payment. I was 10 days behind, told the company what date I was going to pay, the date my Social Security payment arrives. They did not listen and laughed and told me they would call me every day. They called me every day at 8:30 am and at 5:30 pm Mon - Sun. Each time I told them again what date I would pay. It didn’t matter, they told me they would call every day. The harassment would not end. I am a long time customer having had a second mortgage and loan at separate time. If you are a good customer and fall into hard times, don't think WF will work with you. Don't get a card from them. If you have one get rid of it.

Wells Fargo total rip off on refinance

I refinanced my 2007 truck with Wells Fargo Auto Finance...HUGE MISTAKE! I dealt with a Robert D. loan rep who I have come to learn is full of crap back in Sept/Oct 2007 about refinancing my truck well I was approved but they jacked up my payment to over $500 a month! However, this Robert D. loan rep told me that I could refinance it again in 4 months and they would drop the payment considerably! All I had to due is make the 4 months payment on time and it would be refinanced in February and that he would call me in February 2008 to complete the transaction. In the refinance they also tacked on $900 extra to pay off some small credit cards he told me that would help me and my credit score rise in those four months. He said I had equity in the truck so relying on his "word" and good faith I did everything I WAS TOLD TO DUE BY ROBERT D. AT WELLS FARGO AUTO FINANCE, well guess what February came no call from Robert so I called he pulled my information and told me he couldn't do anything for me! I WAS PISSED! He said the balance on the truck was too high, he's the idiot who told me I had equity in the truck four months prior. HE LIED TO ME! He continued to tell me to wait until I got my check from "Uncle Sam" to pay down on the balance then call him back to see if they could do anything for me. I AM SO MAD AND IRRATE AT THIS LIAR AND WELLS FARGO, they used me, they lied to me, and treated me like ###! They really don't care! Since then I've struggled to make this $531 payment and have been late with it becuase I don't care and tired of worrying and each time a collection person has called me I tell them to shove it and they should call Robert D. as he put me in this situation as I relied on him the specialist to lead me in the right direction. I have called lenders and my own bank to try and refinance it and no one will because of the balance on it and KBB value is less then half of what the balance is so I'm stuck. Robert D. and WELLS FARGO FINANCE COMPANY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES IN WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME AND OTHER PEOPLE. I'm writing a letter to the Better Business and the Chairman of Wells Fargo. They need to make this situation right. Thanks for nothing Robert D. and the added stress and financial worries you gave me you are a heartless wells fargo employee!

Wow, the same thing happened to me back in 2004. I purchase my suv on 2003. They were nice asking me if I wanted to refinance and be able to fix my credit card depts and pay off. The girl told me located in California San Bruno, Wells Fargo Auto Finance that after 6 months doing this refinance I can refinance again as long as I pay on time. My payment got bumped from 400 a month to 659.40 a month. I told myself okay pay it on time. Which I did. Come after 6 months I get declined to refinance the dayam car with them. They are liars. I struggled paying with this truck since 2004. Bought the car at 19K and it is February 2009 and I still owe 17 thousand. I've been paying for dayam interest all this time at 12%. My husband loses his job so he was under unemployment. He was on and off a job for a long time, two years. He finally just gets a permanent position in 2008 of March. So there is a lot that I have to catch up, credit cards, car payments, all the pay day loans that I had to borrow and pay back family just to be able to pay this car. They rack up all these fee's because your late. They give you a chance for defernment for two months but that doesn't do any good. I've gone desperate for paying that I had to stoop to doing pay day loans just to pay it. I've even borrowed money from family. But all those borrowing had to be paid back. They are cold hearted when it comes to helping you. I mean come on they come on to you all nice when they want some kind of business from you, and treat you dirty after they are through with you. I can't believe them. I haven't been able to pay since November of 08. They keep calling and calling and calling hassling you to pay. But I've sunk so deep that I was basically not being able to feed my family because of this car. So I decided to do a voluntary reposession. But before deciding I tried to work out with them a payment in Jan 15, $300 and Jan 23 600. I tried to cancel the 600 payment on the 23rd because I just couldn't do it, but they said they couldn't stop that payment, that they were only able to move it on the 30th of January. I said fine. A couple of days before the 30th after going thru all the bills and what I was going to get paid. I was left with 0 money for two whole weeks. I told my husband we can't live like this. We decided to voluntarily repo the car. We call on Jan 27 and the manager at the collection department name Chris was such a nasty rude person. I told him that we can no longer afford in making this payment. To please stop the 600 that was going to go thru on the 30th. I requested to cancel that check by phone payment and I wanted to do a voluntary reposession. He was so unprofessional. He said we can't pick it up. I said what do you mean? I can't request to voluntarily repossess the vehicle. He said we can't pick it up. He asked why now? You've been paying for 35 months, why now? I merely said because we can't afford it no longer. I mean if you check the history we've been struggling and for the past year we've been late all the time. I mean that question is irrelevant. He doesn't know our situation, He doesn't know what is going on with our lives how we've suffered just to make payments. He had a nerve to ask why? The only thing coming out of his mouth was 5 word we can't pick it up. Nothing more. Like he was cold and had nothing else to say but sorry for ya! He was just plain rude. I said okay if you can't pick it up I can drop it off. He said we have no where for you to drop it off. I said I would like to voluntarily repo the vehicle. He said repo is a repo. Finally, he explained that they can't repo it because I haven't hit the 90 day mark which was in two weeks. I explained two weeks? He said sell the car. I told him I've tried and no one is biting especially with the economy right now. He said you can sell the car. I explained the car will not get sold in two weeks. I see where he was going with this. They didn't want to remove my 600 payment so I wouldn't hit the 90 day mark. So they can keep prolonging it. He finally told me to place a stop payment with my bank. Which I did. I explained to my bank the situation and they placed an ACH stop payment for 600 for me. And do you know what happened. $610 dollars was deducted from my account. Chris from Wells Fargo collections knew I was going to place a stop payment. So they switched the amounts from 600 to 610. I had to file a dispute. Now I incurred a negative 600 dollars from all this. I called wells fargo and asked them why they took 610. They said it was 10 dollars for check by phone fee. I explained that I don't recall Cathy ever mentioning about any fees or I think I remember her saying that the fees was going to be waved .No fees was supposed to occur. Unbelievable. I told him if you record conversation, and monitor it then I suggest you bring it on and let me hear the conversation between me and Cathy when the payments was being set up. I even kept the confirmation numbers. Nothing was said about 10 fees and she said all fees will be waved. If that was the case my first payment that was removed on January 15 for 300 should have gotten a fee, correct? But there was none? Why now with the 600. They tried to pull a fast one on me. I placed a dispute on that 610 dollars with my bank. How dare them do that. Wells Fargo Collections are rude, cold hearted, unprofessional, no good people. Never do any kind of loans with them especially a car loan or any type of refinancing. They lie to you and cause you problems. In the end you suffer for their money making scheme. They don't care about you they only care about what's in your pocket and how much they can cause you. They don't care about your situation. They won't even try to modify the loan to help you out. I mean come on! Greedy People and Greedy Bank. Rude and right down Nasty. I will always pass this to everyone that Wells Fargo is a No Good Bank!

Wells Fargo phone call harassment

I am 10 days behind on my payment and told them I would make a payment and gave them a date. I told them I would pay on that specific date because that is when my Social Security Check arrives. Every single day at 8:30 am and 5:30 pm they call me. When I tell the date and amount I will pay they laugh and tell me they will call me every day. I have delt with other credit card companys over 40 years and if I had emergencies and fell behind, they worked with me and didn't harass and humiliate me the way Wells Fargo has. I am a long time customer of Wells Fargo having taken out a second mortgage and a loan at seperate times, yet they harass me because I am 20 days late.

Wells Fargo wrong pay amount

I just purchased a vehicle April 22, 2008, in which I traded in my old car. When I initially went in to trade in my car on about April 14th, 2008, I didn't like the deals they were trying to give me so I wound up keeping my old car. I paid my car payment for that car because the payment was due on the 15th of the month. When making the payment the Wells Fargo Financial accidently removed 2 payments from my account. I immediately notified them of this error in which they told me to fax them my bank statements for verification of the error. I did on April 17th. I returned to the Howard Pontiac dealership (located on Grand and York Avenue in Elmhurst, Illinois) on the 22nd of April and decided to go ahead and trade in my car because the warranty had run out and I figured I'd better go ahead and get something. I got the new car and relinquished the old car to the dealer. On May 22nd I receive a call from Wells Fargo Financial stating that my payment on the old car had not been paid. I notified them that I no longer had the car and that I'd traded it in on April 22nd. They told me to give my dealership a call and remind them that they hadn't paid the car off. I did that and the dealership's finance office rep assured me that they'd take care of it Asap. The following day the dealership rep calls me back and accuses me of fraud stating that I taken back a payment on my previous car. I explained to her that Wells Fargo had taken an extra payment from my account and that the loan company had refunded me my May payment (because it hadn't been due and why would I make a payment for the month of May on a car that I wouldn't even be in possession of). Now the two companies are both saying that I am responsible for the payment so that as it stands they want me to pay the payment for my old car and my new car. So my question is who is responsible for this payment? I think it should be the loan company that gave the wrong payout amount because they were notified of the error before the trade took place or the dealership because they were in fact in possession of the car during the end of April (April 22nd) and the entire month of May. Please let me know because I am very confused. Should I consult an attorney? What I do know is I'll never use either company again!

Wells Fargo scam and fraud

I have been reading about all the rip offs that wells Fargo has been doing to everybody and I am having the same problems, I am a disabled vet and had fallen five months behind in payments. I told wells Fargo that I would not be able to make these payments in advance so they would know what is going on. Of course I had at least five phone calls a day from them and would answer the same questions over and over and finally I filed bankrupts to end the calls and to make it where I would actually be able to keep my house and able to make the payments.

I called wells Fargo and told them this and of course they had to have a financial statement and a letter stating why I fell behind and proof of income. I sent this and was told to make a house payment and they would not foreclose and everything would be fine and not to worry about it, three days later I got a letter saying I was denied the payment plan because I could not make the payments. I called and asked what this was about and was told to ignore it. I made the payment then received a letter saying I had to make a double payment not a single and for a year my payment would be about $200.00 extra. I called and told them I couldn't do that cause of a tight budget. Then they wanted me to send in another financial worksheet and a statement saying why I fell behind and proof of income, so I did and they came up with another payment plan I couldn't make. I did this four times and told them my wage stays the same every month and the budget is the same and the reason why I fell behind is the same!

I called and talked to someone about my expenses every month and they said I had over $700.00 left at the end of the month. I tried to go over every expense over and over again to get the numbers in her head and finally got close to what it should be for my monthly expenses and I just gave up. Now they want to do a loan modification and want me to send in $521.62 not for a house payment but to give to someone to say yes or no on the loan modification.

I am about to say the hell with this crap and let them have the house back. I only owe $2500 in over due payments and I feel like this loan modification is another stupid game, I now have a lawyer working pro bono on this, but I am fed up with there games and will never do business with these idiots again. I know I have a long road ahead of me to get this straighten out and you would think with all of these complaints that someone would do something to this company, maybe sue the hell out of them and give the proceeds back to the people they are ripping off!

Exactly. We sent in 1300 to start modification process, submitted documents that Wells asked US for and the money has sat there unapplied for 18 days. And got foreclosure letters that our house will be sold in 16 days, but the modification process takes 45-60 days. EVERY time I call Wells Fargo I get a different person with a different answer. I am so fed up and don't know what to do! I can't afford to fight them and it is like they know we are the "little fish in the big pond" and keep stringing us along. Try keeping all this frustration from your innocent 8 year old child and sleep at night when you feel absolutely HOPELESS. What are we supposed to do, keep jumping through the hoops that this company keeps dangling at us? We have a 1200 sq foot ranch on a slab, not like we have some $300, 000 house that we could have never afford in the first place.

What have you got to lose? Website address is http://www.onlybusiness.com/members/RealtyMediationService...and if not for you, best of luck. In all your endeavors.

Wells Fargo terrible service

This a long story so bear with me plz... In December of 2007 I contacted Wells Fargo to discuss my options for bringing my mortgage current, I spoke to a Loss mitigation specialist, she informed me that she could help me with getting a loan modification. I gave her all the info she asked for as far as the budget, income, and anything else. I asked her what do I do now, she said just call back every week to check on the status of the loan mod, After agreeing to do so I hung up thinking I had done something good... Boy was I wrong. That was Dec 23, 2007. In Jan of 2008, the first week of I called back and spoke to someone else in Loss Mitigation, after giving all the info, she asked me what I needed I told her I was told to call in every week to check in on the loan mod process. She told me that it was still in review to check back the following week. I did call back for the next two weeks and got the same response from the Loss mitigation people. The 29th of January I called and spoke to yet another person in loss mitigation only to be told we had been denied the previous week, our only option at this point according to her was to pay the past due amounts or an acceleration letter was going to be sent out. (I have received the letter) I explained to her that I could not come up with that whole amount, she said ok and ask me my financial situation again as well as my income and monthly budget, I ask her why, she said so she could see about a repayment plan. After about 10 min. of giving info and holding for her, she came back with a repayment plan that pretty much gave me 10 days to come up with almost 6k, I explained again that it was not possible to do that. She then told me that since I would not agree with that plan that she was putting me back in the process for a loan modification, I asked her why do that, you just turned me down for one last week and what did she think my chances of getting approved for it a week later. She stated that a lot of people get turned down the first time but have a better chance the second time around. I agreed to go for it since I was told that foreclosure would start in FEB if I didn't get this done. I was told to fax in a hardship letter, a budget, and income proof, I went the same day and faxed everything off as I was told. She also told me to call in every week to check on the status. During the first week of Feb I decided to give our VA rep a call since we have a VA home loan. My VA rep said that they had no knowledge of us being late, I explained that we were late on 3 mortgage payments, I also explained the whole loan modification process I had just been through. She gave me a point of contact at Wells Fargo to call and discuss with her my options. In the mean time I also contacted a CCS (creditcouseling) to get finances in order and get help. I called Wells Fargo back and asked to speak to the woman my VA rep had told me about, the loss mit person told me that the woman I was inquiring about was no longer there and gave me the name of the lady that was reviewing our case(I have never been allowed to speak to her). I called the VA rep bck and informed her of the news about her contact, she said that was funny because she had just spoke to her 2 days before, needless to say I was confused... I again called back the following week only to discover that according to a young man there, that Wells Fargo was sorry for denying me for loan mod previously, and that I should have no problem getting approved. So again I waited, after 2 days of being impatient I called Wells Fargo back to find out that, according to yet another loss mit specialist, I was never being considered for a loan modification that she had no idea what I was talking about. So here I go again, I explained that I had spoken to a lot of people at wells fargo and had gotten a lot of different stories, at this point I was completely confused on how every loss mit person had a different story to tell me, I was also told during this time that I could not send them any money at all. After talking to someone else there a day later I gave my VA rep another call and said I was done with dealing with Wells Fargo and have decided to take out 4 payday loans to clean this up finally. Oh, as for the CCS company that I called that Wells Fargo recommended to me, I called them, done a whole workup with them and they sent off the papers to try and get me a repayment plan, the lady there said that she knew it was a shot in the dark because Wells Fargo hardly ever works with them to settle issues. (So much for trying to get other help) So to rap it all up Wells Fargo has told me for 3 months not to send them any money and to go with the loan mod, only to be turned down -approved-and turned down again, I am now 4 months behind as of Mar 08 and looking at dropping 8k on mar 1 08, I am unable to pay any other bills or food for the month but they will get their money... and I will be late again in apr 08 because I have to pay back all the short term payday loans. Thank you Wells Fargo for 3 months of messing around, and a huge headache.

I have been dealing with Wells Fargo for since last July. I was asked to call in oct. After that I was told to submit application which I faxed and was never received. Of course I was surprised. I ended up submitting online and got a confirmation in second week of Dec. I also went to CCS and submitted the application via them. After calling every week, I am still in limbo and it is mid Feb already.

Every time I was told to call in every week. I was also advised by the agents that in order to speed up the process, I should not be making any payments. The agents seem to have no idea what they are talking about. it seems they are just taught to mumble anything. The service totally sucks.

The wells Fargo got tons of taxpayer bailout money for bailout but the CEO is more busy handing out bonuses or planning trips to Las Vegas.

Every step in wells fargo takes 30-45 days. And then the agent will be kind enough to tell you that it can longer and there is no specified time. What a joke? They are only intrested in delaying. A very inefficent and mismanaged process. It is the worst service you could possible expect.

First of all, take the money you were going to give to WF and find a good, reputable ATTORNEY who specializes in dealing with mortgage companies and give the money to him and have him represent you. This is the only way you have a prayer of dealing with these thieves. Many reputable attorneys offer a free consult and will ask for a $2, 500 deposit or so. Make sure they have sued mortgage companies in the past and not just trying to get you to go into bankruptcy, which may not be necessary but lawyers love it as it is an easy buck for them.

Do NOT talk to WF on the phone any more because they will not honor any agreement made and will have a different story every time. DO NOT sign anything that WF sends to you. DO NOT pay WF any more money because there is no guarantee that this will actually bring your mortgage current because they will just be tacking on late fees and God knows what else. They want to just drag this out so they can foreclose as quickly as possible.

As bad as lawyers can be, WF is THOUSANDS OF TIMES WORSE. We have a lawyer now because WF has done the same thing to us and I could kick myself for not getting one earlier.

Good luck and remember--Wells Fargo will not lift a finger to help you and, in fact, will go out of its way to foreclose. The only language they understand is litigation.

Wells Fargo illegal harassment/idiots

Wells Fargo Auto Finance financed a vehicle for me when I had just cleaned up my credit. No other lender would finance me. They charge outrageous interest rates but I went for it.

After six months, I ran late on a payment. If you are more than 3 days late, the calls start - automated phone system. With each day you are late, late fees are added and the phone calls become more frequent, like every 20 mins. You call them, make a payment arrangement or pay online, and 15 mins. later you get another call from a rep in another cityand you have to repeat everything because their damn computer system does not show them that a payment was made or notify them of the payment arrangement you just made. So you continue to be harassed.

They also started leaving these messages nonstop on my Prepaid Cell Phone which caused me to run out of minutes. I told them not to call that number and when I did they said they had no record of that number. ?

After some medical expenses, I requested an extension. First, they required a payment and then said they would do it. Then they took my "application for extension" and told me to call back in 3 days to make sure it was approved! I called back and it was refused. Come to find out they RARELY give extensions, especially if you are late.

So then, being two months late, they started calling me at my place of employment, after I told them not to. Then, to make matters worse, they called my Human Resources Manager and re-verified my employment and asked her to be sure and tell me they called.

So, I moved out of my home and in with family so I could get back on track. Once you are behind, they will screw you with late fees, harass you with phone calls, and call your employer.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

I bought a vehicle financed through wf june 2007. They had my cell number and my employer's number, which was my boss' cell phone. In the first week I started getting restricted calls 4-5 times a day on my phone, which I didn't answer. I was working. At the end of the week my boss called me and said my bank had been calling him repeatedly trying to get a hold of me, but wouldn't leave a callback number. Embarassed and extremely angry I answered the next blocked call I got. It was wf. When I asked them why they were harassing my employer, they apologized for the inconvenience and informed me that we need to conduct a mandatory follow-up customer service survey... I said, I'm sorry... you annoyed my boss for a week over a survey? I was about to explode! I began to tell them how I felt about what they had been doing and they quickly hung up on me. Of course, I still have no call back number... That was in 2007. As of today, I've been laid off for a year. Haven't been a second late on 1 payment yet until today. My car payment was due yesterday. I answered a blocked call today, and when I asked who was calling with a "personal business matter for me" they immediately hung up. My dad, (same name) called me about 10 minutes later and said that my bank had just called telling him he was a day late on his car payment. Of course his expressing his opinion led to them immediately hanging up on him. I checked my bank acct online and they received my payment some time today. Not 24 hours late, and they were calling. I spent 2 hours on the phone today trying to talk to just 1 person there about this. As soon as I told them why I was calling, they hung up on me... every one of them. I'm starting another job next week. My first priority - get the hell out of that loan and never deal with Wells Fargo again as long as I live.

I'm stuck with a 16.67% interest rate for a vehicle that is 6 years old. I'm sick and tired of this company. I would NEVER, even if my life depended on it, recommend them to ANYBODY . They have called my house twice.. if I don't answer, they'll call my cellphone..if I don't answer my cellphone they'll call back with their number blocked. Now they're calling and I answer, they hang up. They've called my place of work 10 times this week ( it's only Tuesday) and have hung up all but 2 times. The last time I told the guy when I'd make a payment. He said he'd post it to my account. Half an hour, my husband calls me from home to tell me they called our house and hung up on him. Then not even another half hour after I talk to my husband, they call my work and hang up again. So not only is it downright annoying that they call every single phone number listed on my account, multiple times a day.. 9/10 of these calls are hung ups from them. I'm 3 days late on my payment. My payment is due the 19th, and the 28th is when I get a late charge. WHY are they calling me? Why don't they wait until the 27th-28th to call and let me know about my late charge? Just last month I had to pay $68 in late charges. They start calling me the day after my payment is due..and don't stop until it's fully paid. I know my payment is late..I understand that. But I cannot make a payment if I don't have the money. Because of them, their harassment and outstanding late charges..I am now 3 weeks behind on my mortgage payment, and utilities. My credit has went from Excellent, to poor in a matter of months.

Wells Fargo can kiss my ###. It's hard to enjoy a "new" (to me) vehicle...when you look at it every time to go to drive it and feel nothing but hatred towards the lender.

I am in the same boat as you. I was laid off for over 3 months. Even when I make a payment they continue to keep calling a lot. Even more than discover card. Slowly I am paying back the back payments now each month.(they are not the only one I am behind with). The calls do not seem to stop. I wish I could refinance, but with bad credit right now, that is impossible. I can not even really let them take the vehicles, The difference from what I owe to what they can get is still to big. They would still come after the difference. Hopefully I can get the vehicles payed off with a lot of overtime.

I am with everyone. DO NOT RECOMMEND WELLS FARGO at any time. If times go bad they will be your worst enemy.

BUYER BEWARE...DO NOT USE WELLS FARGO AUTO...

I was told that I had a 10 grace period when I first opened an auto loan with Wells Fargo, however that was a lie. The collections departments starts calling OVER AND OVER AND OVER after two days being late. I had a 10 grace period with Toyota and they NEVER did anything as silly as this bank. I would have given my business to someone else if I had known the kind of liars these people are.

I am looking now to find another company to refinance with because I cannot deal with Well Fargo and their foolishness.

Wells Fargo terrible incident

I was astounded to get a phone call from Wells Fargo about my home mortgage. I was first told by customer service that April 2007 was not paid then the following day when I was bout to fax my proof that I paid, I found out that I was given the wrong fax number! Then I was told that I paid April 2008 and they said I did not pay October 2007! That was 7 months ago! I am now left to look for bank records from a long time ago. I was told that banks only keep a record of 90 days maximum. What a nightmare! Years of keeping my credit good and busting my ### working, jeopardized by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Poor Service. It is like they just want to make money from hard-working people like myself.

About Wells Fargo

Screenshot Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo is a renowned American multinational financial services company that has been providing banking, investment, and mortgage services for over 160 years. With its headquarters in San Francisco, California, Wells Fargo has a strong presence in the United States and serves millions of customers across the globe.
