I am complaining about the "90" min tours. offered by westgate.
We arrived at our 9:30am appointment, on time. They were OVER BOOKED. not my problem. We have been on this tour for 3 hours and 53 mins. My children are hungry and I'm NOT HAPPY! I WOULDN'T BUY [censored] FROM THEM. IF THEY TREAT YOU LIKE THIS BEFORE YOU BECOME AN OWNER HOW WILL THEY TREAT YOU WHEN YOU BECOME ONE. # UNTRUSTWORTHY! SHARKS THEY JUST WANT THE SALE..
not clean very unprofessional not worth the $
BEWARE::::::Me and my family stayed at Westgate vacation villas at 7700 Westgate Blvd Kissimmee, FL 34747 for 8days 7nights, First problem the luxury Villa that we was supposed to get looked like a dirty old Motel 6. The furniture look very old and outdated the room look like it was built in 1975. The linen was dirty had pee stains on them bathroom was also dirty instead of relaxation we all spend our first and second night cleaning what should of already been clean. We complain but nothing was done also when tryed talking with staff only a few can speak English this place was a waste of money an time staff was very un-professional staff needs to be a more diverse staff that can speak English and of all Races not just latino with very nasty attitude. I see why Trump wants to send a lot of immigrants back to there own country because this was absolutely ridiculous the way we were treated and the whole entire staff was latino. Beware Beware Beware
Westgate was horrible will never go back again lies nasty attitudes nothing but Latino staff no blacks no whites no Chinese no Jewish no nothing the whole staff is Latino some can't even speak English Trump need to get these people back to their country waste my money and time
Westgate didn't do anything to resolve my problem at all my experience with Westgate was horrible will never go back again
westgate membership
I was offered a discounted vacation if i would attend a couple of hours seminar at the resort. The couple of hours was all day and after telling them we wasnt interested multiple times they just had us talk to someone else. They told us that we could put the down payment on a credit card with no interest for a year. They also had my wife apply for one so after the year was up we could transfer from one to the other with no interest for another year. After the year we tried to transfer the remainder but was told we could do it. We also just recently found out our membership couldnt be used for a hotel for two nights because the yearly fee wasnt paid. My wife had called and set it up to be tooken off the card we was paying on and it didnt get done. I called and talked to the booking department and he told me i could call accounts but it would be several hours wait. Westgate didnt send anything saying it was due or even that it was late. I got the membership because we enjoyed the location and seemed to be something to save us money.I have five kids so money is slim and now we are paying thousands of dollars for something we cant use. If anyone can help please contact me [protected]@yahoo.com
I have had a timeshare with Westgate since Jan. 2014. Since the wildfires of 11/2016 regrettably happened my husband and I became disabled and at 1st asked that the maintenance fees be waived, as there was no buildings to maintain. After repeated attempts to speak with customer service and being spoken to rudely and the call being disconnected by them we looked for help to either re-sell or get rid of the timeshare. The jokers "willing to help" you get rid of the timeshare are just as crooked as Westgate themselves. They wanted more than 1/2 of the remaining price of the timeshare to sell it.
I have asked several times for help from Westgate and the same reaction as above every time. I am done with Westgate. My husband and I were high pressured over an 11 hour period and promised things that never happened.
We are going to join the class action lawsuit against them and sue them privately ourselves.
scam/lies
my husband and I was stopped by a guy in Gatlingburg about your resort.he said that it was only to show us the rooms and water park and hopefully to tell our friends and family so they may book there as well.but when we got there in the middle of the orientation. we was called to go to the front desk. we was told we had been there to many times.well if we was told we couldn't go there after one time or how many they said we would not have took time out of our vacation.it was embarrassing. and not right for us to have been treated this. and to have to sit there. All we was asked if it had been 12 months since we done a tour we remember doing a tour with westgate maybe once like two years ago, but then when we got there they said it was to to buy a time share not to hopefully book a room with westgate or tell our friends about it. If we had been told everything then we would not had even went for them to embarrass us .
This is my first negative review and i dont expect to do this again. I booked a room on Expedia for the west gate resort. When we got to the hotel my family was excited and we had many plans in which we were going to accomplish. Unfortunately we were sent to pay 20 dollars to participate in a 1 hour presentation which lasted over 2 hours . my husband was verbally insulted by this 20 year old veteran in the company calles Billy. Hes is a man that looked frumpy but thinks hes is superior than you . but only talks about how his brother died from cancer and that if he could bring him back that they would go to a vacation. This man told my husband if he was high on drugs and after that comment my vacation became a staycation we didnt use the resort we didnt do the disney trip or anything. So if your planning on going to this resort with someone who never vacations and isnt patient dont so the presentation i beg you not to . i wish i could get my money back . room service never cleaned and the neighbors party all night . i will not be vacationing for another 3 years 😞
customer service
I need someone to contact me, I have tried on 6/25/18 to log in on my account to be told that the dates I was looking to book was beyond my membership.
I am still paying for this membership and the amount that I am paying I should not have the problems.
I have tried on several times to reach someone only to get the run around.
If they could reach out to me because I want to cancel my account and receive my money back for fraud.
please email [protected]@yahoo.com with a phone number that I could speak to someone without being on hold for a 1/2 hour at a time.
Thank you.
the resort in general.
We've checked in June 15, 2018 to June 17, 2018 to celebrate Fathers Day weekend. When we made it to the resort we experience a great wow factor in the lobby, even the staff. But then when we got to our room it's very old and I feel like I'm staying in a Traveloge or Motel. Your furniture and everything in the room has no upgrades at all, nothing like the pictures. I got in the tub and filled it but it had a lot of stuff in the water so I had to drain it again and repeat my process. We took a walk to see everything and your hallways smell like someone or something peed in every corner. And stuff in the way. When we got to the front we noticed all pool bars and grills were closed, there's no activities, even Starbucks was closed at 7. From my experience of Universal Resorts and Hilton's they never closed anything so early. We got back and decided to go to the pool and it smelled like to much chlorine and it was just full of stuff, not clean, my husband eyes turn red instantly and we had to go. We decided to take a shower and go out to eat and when we got back you had no parking anywhere. We stayed for 15 minutes in the car waiting and when we called you guys suggested to park in the garage and there's a shuttle to take your back but we asked and saw everyone walking and you guys are staying false statements because there isn't anything there. We got to our bed and I've noticed there's stains on the sheets and that's very disappointing knowing that even the bed has stains. I'm very disappointed and wouldn't recommend this Resort to anyone. I was very excited until we reached our room. If I would've had an actual picture of how the room and resort was really like I would've stayed somewhere else.
items taken from room, and no useful follow up from security staff
My wife and I, together with my parents, siblings, and spouses stayed in Orlando at the Westgate Resort from March 24-31 through an RCI Exchange for the timeshare that my dad owns. Unannounced, on the morning of March 28th, staff came in to clean the room. They did not clean any other day of the week and there was no notice of when they would come. I had a gold necklace on the bathroom counter that I had cleaned and left to dry. After the cleaning staff left the room, the necklace was missing. From past experience, of more than a decade of family vacations through RCI exchanges, house cleaning was only performed upon request, so the cleaning staff coming in was totally unexpected and felt more like an invasion of our space than a service. Had there been an assumption of cleaners coming in, I would not have left the necklace out to dry.
I filed a report with security through Merrick Nichols (a security "manager") as soon as I noticed the necklace missing and Merrick promised that he would follow up within 48 hours. I tried several times during the time we were there to contact both security and lost & found to resolve the situation. Most of the calls went nowhere and ended up with a ringtone; some calls went to voicemails with no prerecorded message of whom I had reached; and when I was able to talk with a staff member, they promised that a "manager" would call me back. These promised calls never materialized. My father and mother also called several times since they were the actual reservation holders. They got the same promises of a response and also never heard from any representative of westgate resorts.
Upon returning home, I continued to call almost daily to reach Merrick Nichols or any member of staff who could help me. After weeks and weeks of trying to call and speak with Merrick Nichols I asked for email addresses of all the staff members I had spoken to. I sent the following email on May 15 and received no response:
______________________________________________________________________
I am writing to seek a resolution for the necklace that was taken from my room on March 28th. I have tried numerous times to call and talk with Merrick Nichols in security to check the status of my report. I've left messages and never heard anything back. Once, I was able to talk with Chris Sylva, but never heard back from him after an explicit promise that I would receive a call back. Both my family and I tried numerous times during the last 2 days there we were there to get some answers, to no avail.
Every time I have called, people have been courteous, but then have done absolutely nothing they said they would do. This is very frustrating. I expect to be made whole in this situation. That necklace was a very special gift and held actual and sentimental value. We had no indication whatsoever that the room was going to be cleaned that day; otherwise, I would not have left the necklace out.
The link below is the pendant that was on the chain -
http://www.edith-haifa.com/product/prodspec.asp?id=780
The pendant was on a 24" 14k gold box chain around 1mm thick (yellow gold)
I expect that someone will respond back to me to bring this situation to an acceptable resolution. So far the whole experience with Westgate Resorts has left me with a very bad impression, and I hope that, as it says in your hold message (which I have heard numerous times), I will be able to have 100% customer satisfaction. My father is planning to turn in a review to RCI but will is waiting until there is a resolution of this highly negative experience.

customer service
We have been owners for about 20 years and I recently booked a stay in Las Vegas for son. I was given the confirmation numbers and received an initial confirmation email but it had the wrong name. So, I called back for them to correct and since April the 4th I have been unable to receive a conformation email. I have made at least 6 phones, spoken to rude customers service reps, posted on the Facebook page, and sent a message via Facebook. The name is still wrong on the reservation, and as of yesterday I have been given conflicting information re: my reservation. I have been told, that I need to speak to the Elite Team but no number has been given and no one can seem to transfer or provide me a number, I have been told the correct emails will come out at the top of the hours, I have been told again only the Elite Team can resolve my issues. Still no resolve.
contract fraud
Good morning,
I attended your seminar on April 8th along with another family. I was informed they had a unit for a lower price and I was informed it would be for 2 weeks a year, I repeatedly asked to confirm this was for two weeks and they said yes. I explained my concern financially and was told I could rent the second week or trade in a week and pay $199 and take my second week somewhere other than my home resort. The representative's manager even drew up a diagram on the back of my floorplan showing I would have 2 weeks each year of 6 nights and 7 days either at my home resort or pay $199 to go elsewhere for 6 nights and 7days. After being swooned with all these wonderful perks and options to earn money and the option to rent my second week to use to pay my monthly mortgage payment I agreed and said I would be back. I had to leave to get my luggage from my hotel and start my long drive home and when I left the rep continually called and texted my cell phone. I went back to discuss more and they confirmed all of my worries that there would not be hidden fees, that I could have payments done for my down payment. I was on vacation with my 5 year old granddaughter after having a heart attack, so she was with me because I am raising her. It all seemed perfect. They took us to a place where they explained how I could earn extra money and then brought me in for the closing. I explained I was rushed and didn't have my insulin with me and was a diabetic and the closer had a heater on me in 90 degree weather that I asked be turned off. I was told the entire thing was being recorded so you can then replay and here my concerns and confirmation of having two weeks a year and that I could call after and arrange payments for the down payment if the initial set up would not work. As we were going thru and she was explaining everything she was leaning over me and hitting the button to add my signature. With my sugar dropping I felt very ill. I was confident that what I asked was given a truthful answer.
When I came home and had time to actually read everything I started finding all of the extra fees - lie #1, then I found papers hidden in a pocket you didn't even see until I felt something in the binder they gave me and was not informed it was there.
I called to speak with customer service who said my payments could be changed but not the amount-lie #2, which I decided this was not going to financially work for me. I called back again and was told not to worry you just don't understand how it works It will pay off you can rent your second week for $350 a night-lie #3. Then I kept getting disconnected during my call, I then emailed asking for help to cancel my contract, no response. I called again on 4/27 when I again was told I could rent my second week and I kept saying I didn't want to hear it I wanted out and was disconnected again. Then I called again on 5/6 and 5/14 and was told that I had no second week only one week - lie #4. I was told I could take any week I wanted as an owner, guaranteed except for special event weeks that would include a fee at any other resort, but my home resort could go anytime and then was told that was not true - lie #5.
I have attached the diagram and sheet I was given by the Manager. The other family there is willing to sign an affidavit confirming this was told to us and explained or be a witness if this should go further. You have every call recorded, as I am informed, than you can play back my discussions and see I was told inaccurate information. Furthermore, I screen shot the email sent to you on your website addressing all of these concerns. And sent a letter and it was blatantly ignored. As I requested, I want to be released of this contract, as the conditions agreed upon were not met by your company and is moot. At this point I don't even care about the initial $500 I paid to you, I was mislead and this contract should be voided and I want to put it behind me. I believe this is poor business practices you are conducting or you need to take a better look at your employees.
customer service
Front desk women tracy gave incorrect information which caused a big parking issue for us (trailer) while waiting on situation to be resolved (the only resolution was a refund which takes 3-5 days and leave resort or park across the resort form our room) we ran late to dinner plans with a group which caused us to miss the rodeo no compensation was offered at all! While at dinner one guests food didn't come until the meal was over then came incomplete women taking payment said well sorry that is between you and your server! I have stayed at a few westgate resorts in the orlando area and have never been this disappointed in a resort staff! Room was clean but literally had 2 towels only for a room that sleeps 4! The noise form upstairs at 7am was very annoying westgate river ranch
inappropriate sales tactics
Recently on a trip to Las Vegas, we were approached by a salesperson from Westgate offering free gifts for listening to their sales pitch. They made us sign a document saying we were aware it was a 90 minute "pitch" and required a $20/deposit to hold our spot. We thought we'd give it a shot, but we soon became prisoners. They took us by a bus to the Westgate property, then we waited a good 30-45 minutes before being paired up with a sales rep. I wish I could remember the names of the people we dealt with, but can't. After going over the costs, we were provided a tour of the rooms. The banter was so sexually charged and inappropriate. Once back to the sales floor, and we expressed that it wasn't in our price range and not a fit at this time, we were told the manager was going to come over and sign our paperwork so we could claim our gifts and go. The manager was even worse - he made very inappropriate comments and kept trying to offer even more "discounted" options. We told him no. The original sales rep tried again to offer an even smaller, option. My companion at this time said he was leaving and the sales rep, rather rudely said: "Sit Down, we aren't through". In all, the 90 minutes ended up being more than 4 hours. We got tickets to a comedy show and a dinner from a reduced menu. STAY AWAY. The "gifts" weren't anywhere worth the missing 4 hours of our lives or the manner in which the sales rep and manager spoke with us. To top it all off, after we finally got our gifts we were directed to another counter to arrange a ride back to our hotel and that guy was trying to sell a vacation package.
timeshare
After purchasing a time share through them. We paid $500 down with an agreement to make a payoff payment on down payment in two months with income tax. When signing paperwork they then split the payment in two and had us scheduled in a month for the initial payment. They assured us the payment could be differed until the second month with a phone call. They did differ the payment but only for a cpl weeks. I feel very sick within that time frame and was unable to call and they then attempted an unauthorized debit from my checking account for almost $3000. When my bank marked it as fraud and called me I immediately called for answers and they had none only they would review my account and contact me back. This never hapoened only another call wanting the diwn payment. When I explained the situation she saud we had signed a paper for them to hold my debit card info and charge it on the original dates. This is not true or I would have not signed them. We do no scheduled electronic payments. We personally call in all payments. She emailed me a copy of this supposed paper and the signature and initials are not my husbands.

I have never been treated so badly in my life. On or around 2.2.18, my friend and I were approached by a Westgage Resort employee. I was encouraged to take a 90 minute tour of the building. Reluctantly, I obliged. I met with Joe (who was wonderful). He gave me a tour of the Las Vegas Resort property and quickly peaked my interest, as I was enamored with the property. Once back in the sales room, we started to discuss prices. Unsure if I wanted to move forward, Joe called a "manager" by the name of Noah.
Noah sat down at the table and he stated: "You guys are from Oakland? We're stealing your Raiders!"
My friend replied: " Yeah, just like you guys are trying to steal our money."
Noah became visibly upset. He then made a few snide remarks, wrote two numbers down on a piece of paper, threw the paper down onto the table and stated, "That's the best I can do" before walking away.
Unclear on what the numbers meant, I asked Joe for clarification. Joe stated that he was unsure and called Noah back to come and explain.
Noah returned visibly upset. I asked him if he was okay. STANDING, he then stated: "No, no-one has ever spoke to me so rude before in these four walls. I'm not trying to steal your money, if you don't want it or can't afford it, I'm not going to try and convince you." He then walked away, again.
I was immediately humiliated and started to cry. Joe then asked Carlos (a different manager) to speak with me. I was very upset and felt that I should purchase the timeshare to prove that I could afford the time-share. So I did.
I am very hurt by the way I was so poorly treated by Noah. Everyone else that I communicated with from Joe to Carlos and Chris were great. However, Noah has left a terrible taste in my mouth and I don't want to associates myself with a Business that employs staff such as Noah. I will never do business with Westgate again and I would like to cancel my purchase effective immediately.
Even if Noah thought that my friend was "rude" to him, and he felt as though he was being personally attacked, as a Manager he should have remained professional. For that reason, I don't want to have anything to do with the Westgate in my entire life.
Jasmine, the legal rescission period in Nevada is 5 days. That is 5 calendar days. There are instructions in your owner's packet which will direct you on how to send a rescission letter. And where to send it to. All parties to the timeshare must sign. Do not delay. Otherwise you will be locked in to a perpetual obligation to Westgate. And just so you know, Noah was probably playing mind games with you. And they worked...
Appreciated reading the compliant. Let us know if you really get out of the contact.
There should be a 7 day recision period they are supposed to have you initial that they explained that to you. At least in the state of Virginia its 7days. Could be 5 or 10 in nevada. I'd encourage calling their customer service and confirming that with a closing agent.
I'm not aware of what recision period, if any, applies. With that said, if the five days apply, did you fulfill the requirements within time?

I'm here with my son Qornelious Campbell who was in side the Westgate hotel building we had just got off the shuttle he wanted to go to after we visited the inside. So while inside we were looking at the aquarium with the fish and we decided to leave, so I put him down after picking him up from looking at the fish he walked ahead in front of me and out of no where and burst his mouth Open. But the sad part about it the employees were acting like nothing had just happen nobody acted like there were no help Available until my girlfriend almost got out of character. So I the father also name Qornelious took proper procedures and made my way to the security where he proceeded to make an incident report. No ambulance was called until I got back to the room because my son if 2 years old just kept pointing towards his jaw area and it was his lip that was burst open so I thought maybe he needed further treatment but was not taken to the hospital pictures and video of the scene was collected by myself.
timeshare and pressured to purchase and misled
Hello, My name is Rosiny Deronette,
Me and my family was mislead by Westgate Resorts in Orlando, FL to purchase a timeshare.
In June, 2017, I was on vacation with my family and was misled by Westgate Resorts salesmen to buy a timeshare (Account number [protected]). At first, I was hesitant and refused however the salesmen harassed us to the point where we felt like we had to purchase the timeshare otherwise these guys would leave us at peace while we were on vacation. Upon signing of the timeshare, we were told that there was no blackout dates and that we could call 3 months in advanced to make any bookings including holidays. Just recently in August, I called 4 months in advance to book a family vacation in December however I was told, that I would need to pay an additional $800 to book it and that it wouldn't be my timeshare. When asked why, I was told by 3 different reps who refused to give me their employee identity that with my timeshare I must call 12 months in advance to book a vacation (even then I'm not guaranteed and would need to pay $408) since I don't have the holiday package. Holiday package? I was never told that there was a separate package I needed to buy on top of my timeshare. The conversation the salesmen had with me made no reference to another package nor did they say I would have to pay extra for any vacations that I need to book in the future. I can understand paying taxes or Resorts fees however the fees that they have asked to charge for the days Inwant to book in December are for a different package and another resort. I spoke with several departments (Robert, Jennifer, and someone named Karen), they didn't care about my situation and kept referring to my timeshare being "basic" and that I needed to purchase a holiday package in order to book any holiday vacation. At one point, they transferred me to payments department to make over $1k for a timeshare that Inhave not used nor have had the opportunity to successfully plan a family vacation. I am a single dad with two little girls and these folks stole all of my money and asking to withdraw more out of my account while I have not even stated at the timeshare that I purchased. I want to cancel my timeshare given that I have not been able to use it and have paid hundreds of dollars and more being asked. I would like to ask Westgate Resorts to please cancel my timeshare, return the fees that they've taken out of my account, and please give the peace I need to care for my little girls. I can't afford to pay all the fees that Westgate Resorts are charging now and it appears that Incant even use the service when I want as promised. They are charging more that explained at time of purchase so therefore I cannot afford this timeshare and asking for refund and end of this account.

westgate resorts vacation traveler package
Acct#[protected]
Purchased a 7 night resort stay to use at any time once it was paid in full. Upon paying it we have tried numerous times to make reservations in the one bedroom unit that we paid for to be told over and over that there are no rooms, no rooms, no rooms. I was told yesterday maybe I should have read my contract. I am very unhappy with the service and availability. It is very frustrating that I call to make a reservation am told there are no room available but I can go to the Westgate resort website and book the same room. So there are rooms available just not for someone like me who purchased one of these useless packages. The people that misrepresented the package and the people are the phone are representing Westgate as a whole and it is not a good representation. I feel as if I have paid my money now nobody cares. At this point and refund would be the best option but according to my contract that is not going to happen either.
What do I think? After I sat through a SIX HOUR spill about why I should purchase a timeshare from Westgate, mind you, it was supposed to last 90 minutes. So pretty much one vacation day was wasted. Seriously, how many times, does someone have to hear the word “no”. I realize it may be Westgate’s sales tactic, however, it was degrading, rude, etc. Every time, my husband and I told the GM “no”, he continued to ask personal financial questions. Our answers were pretty straight forward, as we are newly married, just starting out, planning for a family, looking to upgrade homes, and I have been with my job a little less than a year, so there’s too much uncertainty right now for a non necessity. There are more frugal ways to go on a vacation without hidden fees and costs. One of the reasons, I brought to the table was I didn’t think it was a financially smart decision (everyone is entitled to an opinion). The GM replied some talk about Dave Ramsey, however, Dave Ramsey has an article pretty much saying time shares are a waste. My point is when you are trying to sell something and someone tells you no over and over, insulting them is no way to get their business. He was very insistent and pushy that we could afford this, it was such a small amount. Well no one truly knows someone’s business, so no should be sufficient in any case.
At the end, after you feel like they pushed and probed, they offer you 8/7 stay at the Westgate Properties with $200 down and the monthly installments until paid in full with 2 years to use. We were also told there was a 3 day cancellation window, that’s even what it says on the website with a full refund and to return all promotional items within 10 days.
After we left, we decided to read the reviews (too little too late I know). The vacation club offer appears to be another opportunity for them to shove a presentation down someone’s throat. We have been through that already and if I wanted to purchase something or decide to I’ll let the appropriate person know. I called this morning at 9 am, first thing, not even 16 hours later, they tell there is a 0 cancellation policy. They were not very friendly and they claim to pride themselves in customer service, but that is false and they just want to make a dollar at anyone’s expense. We would greatly appreciate it if someone would contact us (as we have already reached out and been tossed to department after department) and allow us to cancel this and be done with Westgate forever.

My family lost our home in the Gatlinburg wildfires almost a year ago. A sells person from Gatlinburg named Kyle Shute took donations in my family's honor and kept them and then called me and asked me to lie for him. I've called the Gatlinburg resort and reported the issue but it was pushed under the table and I later heard he was having sexual relations with the woman who took my complaint. I am very disappointed at the way west gate has handled this issue. I feel like a criminal act has taken place

we stayed at westgate las vegas from 10/22-10/25, not on a time share deal - we paid cash. we still signed up and paid $40 for a timeshare presentation - where we were treated harshly after the 1 hour presentation turned into 4 hours on my wife's birthday. we were sold tickets to the sexxy show which come to find out was not even playing during our stay. we were then offered to see a crass comedian which we did not want to nor did we go see. we signed up for a second presentation which we were told was a travel club -
not a timeshare and we were told was 45 minutes but which the presenter was 40 minutes late getting to - and informed us we would have to tour the property again even though we told her we had seen it the day before. she grabbed my wife's arm and physically held her there while calling for a manager. we were told we would get $100 in gambling chips and a show and dinner - we did not receive, nor our money back. we returned to our room where our door had been repainted which i got on my hand and ruined my manicure and the do not disturb sign was removed. we had a medical breathing device in the room which by some stretch of the imagination caused housekeeping to threaten us with a smoking fine because of the nebulizers vapors. Being done with hotel personnel we decided to stay in and order room service - which took 3 hours to get and the food was cold. all around bad experience - and every personnel we approached with complaints rejected us and disregarded our issues while inviting us yet another timeshare. I would like someone to respond back to me on these issues and offer some kind of resolution.
hoa/ownership
I have been an owner of a timeshare with WestGate orlando Resort for over 15 years. My timeshare is paid off but the HOA keeps going up. When i was sold on this it was presented so beautiful. The HOA was Low $400 now its upto almost $1000. Which i was laid to. Now i owed my HOA 2017 and i was going to pay and they took one of my payments and after that they put me in collections. Tried calling to settle not nice and told me to call the colection company which i never recieved a bill from. They make it very difficult for anyone to try to get out of this timeshare. I even told them too keep it just get me out of contract they would not do it. The Lie to consumers
Same Experience West Gate Lakes Orlando purchased 2001 and no where in my contract does it state it would go up.
My contract specifically states the fee is $329Per Time Share Interest owned and taxes will be billed separately by th OA.
I understand Taxes going up but my maintenance fee is now $744 plus the taxes $835.
In 16 years we have only been able to use it 2 x. banking it and trying to use it another time is a hassle and adds more fees.
No where on any form with my signature does it say anything about increases.
I have seen contracts from other HOA's that state every year there will be a vote on things like new roof or other large ticket repairs and maintenance then it will be put to a vote and owners would be billed for the agreed upon increase for the itemised repairs but the general fee remains the same. Not an increase with no accounting for what it is going to and at an unknown rate of increased like a fixed percentage rate.
I would have never agreed to sign off to pay an unknown increase indefinitely.
I would love a lawyers take on this. CLASS ACTION? I saw a couple sued them in Tennessee an received $500K ! anyciaj@gmail.com
