Want my credits put back on my master card
I have 2 west jet credits that I cannot use because west cancelled all their flights out of deer lake nl. I have no way of using these credits. they also want me to pay more money to extend my credit before they expire. There should be something out there to protect the consumer from this. As far as I am concerned they are ripping me off. If they can’t provide me a flight out of deer lake nl they should refund me my money.
Cancellation fees
I have flights booked from Vancouver to Paris leaving yvr on Oct 20,2023 in premium. I paid a lot for these flights and now I need to cancel them. I will not get a refund but rather a time limited credit which I am fine with. However, even giving three months notice of the cancellation they will charge me $600 per person per direction which is $1200! I asked what the fee was for and the agent told me “I don’t know how to answer that”! I feel this is gouging and extortion as WestJet will resell the seats and they will also be paid the cost of two economy seats for providing nothing to me. They are profiting off my misfortune that I have to change my plans three months in advance. I feel this is robbery and I want their fees investigated.
Desired outcome: That the fee is the same as cancelling a trip between Canada and other countries which is $100
I was overcharged and given a raw deal by some agents
My son and my mother in law shain Clarke and EULALEE MILLER miss there flight from Jamaica to Edmonton on Friday July 14 , we asked for assistance from a couple west jet agent at the desk and they told me I had to purchase new tickets which amounted to 2200 us , I purchased the ticket and they reach Toronto to connect to Edmonton we found out they never booked the leg to go Edmonton , we had to purchase another set of tickets for 1200 us on another airline because there were no more flight available until the following day , so am asking what can be done about this situation
Boarding in Minneapolis and Saskatoon
I was treated veryrudely on my flight from Minneapolis to Vancouver BC. The people handling boarding seemed newly trained applying “rules” about luggage size. I was forced to check my carryon bag even though it would easily fit into the overhead compartment. I will now miss my ferry to the coast. I will NEVER USE WESTJET AGAIN and warn others too.
Desired outcome: Refund part of fare
Lost baggage - refund for paying extra for bag
My name is Edward Gray. I recently flew on WestJet from CDG to SEA via YYC. I booked the flight online and paid extra for a package including one check-in bag. The bag was in the care of another airline whose flight I was unable to get on had the bag in their care. I asked the WestJet gate agent if that bag could be put on their flight and was assured it could. Because of this I booked the flight including the baggage. The bag never made it to the flight or to the gate, WestJet never got the bag from the other airline. I filed a lost baggage request with the other airline and they sent it to me in N America two days later.
WestJet was negligent in this case as they guaranteed me that the bag would be on the flight and I paid for the seat and baggage because of that. The extra cost for the flight package which included baggage that was not transported was approximately $300 CAD. I should be reimbursed that amount as I didn't receive that service.
The flight was CDG-YYC-SEA July 14th. My PNR was ZJBLOQ.
My email address is: [protected]@gmail.com
Thank you.
Desired outcome: refund of approximately $300 CAD
Flight refund or credit for cancelled flight by westjey
I booked two tickets with cheapo air with westjet airline from April 23 to may 16. Our flight was canceled by westjet now they are not giving me credit or refund. I do not have that credit card I used to book the tickets last year. They said they can only refund on same credit card. I called them and rote emails to cheapo air and westjet. Nothing has been done. I have read the Canadian law for airlines it says it can be refunded on different way if customer wants I m looking for credit voucher so I can book it again. I m senior citizen do not have much income. I lost resort booking money.
It is very bad experience with westjet. Please do something. My west jet confirmation no are these

Service
On July 8th, 2023, I had a flight scheduled from Harry Reid International Airport to Victoria International Airport, with layovers in Calgary, AB, and Edmonton, AB, reservation code NDKDBE. Our departure time was set for 8:30 am, and we arrived at the departure gate at 7:30 am. However, upon reaching the check-in area at 7:32 am to obtain our boarding tickets, we discovered that there was nobody present.
We attempted to use the self-check-in kiosk but were unsuccessful. After searching for a Westjet employee for approximately 5 minutes, I eventually chased down a lady wearing a Westjet lanyard and inquired if we could proceed to be checked in at the boarding gate, as we only had carry-on bags. She informed us that the plane had already departed, despite our intended arrival time at the departure door at 7:30 am. I tried explaining that we arrived at 7:32 am and still had enough time to board if the plane had not left, as there was no one at the security line. However, she dismissed my concerns and told me to call Westjet, stating that they would return to the check-in desk at 9:15 am.
I contacted Westjet and was instructed to call my booking agent. After speaking with my booking agent, they instructed me to call Westjet again, as any changes from their end would require 24 hours to process. I called Westjet once more, and they informed me that the plane did not appear to have departed, but suggested that the gate might have changed, which was not the case. The agent attempted to contact the airport agents for assistance but was unsuccessful in reaching anyone. She then offered to book us on another flight for a fee of $150 per person. Despite reiterating that we still had time for our original flight, she remained unmoved, stating that no amount of explanation would change her mind.
At 8:12 am, the final boarding call was made for the 8:30 am flight we were supposed to be on, indicating that the lady's earlier claim of the plane leaving an hour early was false. Reluctantly, we paid $315 and were rescheduled for the 1:05 pm flight from LAS to YYJ, with a layover at YYC. When we arrived at the gate for the 1:05pm flight, we encountered a friendly lady named Diamond who verified our passports. As we shared our morning experience with her, she checked in our carry-on bags on our behalf. Another agent nearby mentioned that the lady we ran that morning was a supervisor and had visited the gate and falsely informed them that we had missed our flight, laughing about it. Overwhelmed by frustration and disappointment, I broke down and started crying, considering the fact that we had waited at the check-in area for 40 minutes before the last boarding call, spent $315 extra, and endured a five-hour delay due to the lack of effort to accommodate us on the 8:30 am flight and from security to the boarding only took us 10 minutes. I was deeply disappointed in Westjet and the behavior of their staff, especially those in leadership and supervisory positions. I couldn't understand why we were treated in such a manner and subjected to ridicule by the supervisor who then laughed about it with her colleagues at the gate. This incident shattered my spirit, as customers should never be disregarded, mocked, or laughed at during challenging times.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and a refund for the $315 dollars we paid
Overcharged
We missed our flight out of London on July 5th going to Calgary. We got a flight from Hamburg that morning to go to London but it was delayed by 55 mins. (British Airways). We are dealing with British Airways but so far they have offered us a £50 voucher but we were out of pocket over $5,000 Cdn. The reason I am sending this message is to explain why we are not happy with West Jet. We purchased our tickets for just over 1600 originally to come home, these are the seats we did not make it to. We called WestJet and they transferred us to your business partner Infinity, who first said they could get us onto the next days flight for 5500.00 but we said No., he then came back (Jacob [protected]) and said he could do it for 4600.00, we of course said yes to this because we were not sure if we would find anything else. So we spent 1600 plus 4600 plus the only hotel with a room was the Hilton so we spent another 700 for the night. We are just wondering if it is common practice to gouge your passengers when you know they are stuck? Jacob said it was our fault for going through Expedia, but I don't agree with that, we still spent our money on Westjet. So we now have a new opinion about Westjet, which I don't need to explain. Our information: Lisa and Ottavio Ciammaichella. Flights missed: Ticket # [protected] and Ticket# [protected]. Tickets for flight taken. #[protected] and # [protected]. Our address is 96 Reservoir Rd., Trail, BC V1R 3R8
Desired outcome: I would definitely like a response, some compensation for the over-priced tickets would be appreciated. WS19 was our flight on July 5th as well as on the 6th.
Damaging Noise Level
WS 0233 Halifax to Calgary Sunday May 28, 2023
EXTREMELY HIGH CABIN NOISE
My ears hurt from the high sound level in the cabin and even worse when announcements were made.
The sound meter app on my Samsung S22 Smartphone registered and recorded over 85 dB the whole 5 hour flight and over 100 dB when announcements were made.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) recommend maintaining environmental noises below 70 dBA over 24-hours (75 dBA over 8-hours) to prevent noise-induced hearing loss.
I know this WestJet plane was made by Boeing so the noise is their fault but I suggest WestJet warn passengers..
WARNING NEEDED I suggest WestJet include warnings that passengers should bring ear plugs, or sound attenuating earphones to protect their ears.
(At industrial construction sites they hand out soft insert ear plugs for visitors!)
Desired outcome: Warnings in booking websites, Pre-flight and in-flight warnings.
Flight 1599 was delayed an hour due to baggage mix up of some sort.
We were left sitting in plane until they sorted out the problem, thus I missed my connection with Central Mountain air to Quesnel.
This happened on July 7, 2023.
Since there were no more flights to Quesnel until Monday, I had to go back to the main Terminal and buy another ticket with West Jet to take me to Prince George , spend the night at the Carmel Inn so that my friend could pick me up and take me to Quesnel.
Since it was no fault of mine I would like to be reimbursed for flight and hotel, but at least for flight.
Thank you
Desired outcome: Please refund me, flight was $604.93 I would also like a reply Thank you
Refund process
I have a Westjet ID number and logged on to check the amount of travel dollars I had. I realized they expire in a couple of months. I contacted customer service via Messenger. I was offered a refund. I have the same credit card that I had used to purchase the tickets. They said I had to prove that I am who I am. They wanted me to do an “unreal test verification” by using WorldRemit app to send funds to Uganda. I was very uncomfortable with giving my info online but they kept assuring me it was safe. After 3 hours online repeatedly sending “unreal” transactions I asked to finish for the day. My wifi signal is spotty at times which added to the complications / frustrations. I went back online the next day only to go through the same process and then be transferred to my banking institution to restart the process. I spent a total of 6+ hours online. I refused to give my debit card/banking info which ended the process. I am currently being reviewed and am not sure if I will be getting my refund. I was assured that the unreal test funds would be sent to my credit card account. To me, this was an arduous, frustrating and demeaning process. If I have a Westjet account and the same credit card (which I use consistently) this should have been much easier.
The people who we’re on line with me repeatedly asked the same questions which air had already answered and could not spell so that I had to ask what they meant repeatedly. They were often times abrupt in their answers. Overall a terrible experience.
Desired outcome: I’d like my refund. And a response on why it was such an unnecessary process.
Westjet airlines
Hello after not being reimbursed my father and uncle rebooked their flight paying an additional 2000 dollars on top of their wasted 1800 already spent. On their flight home from YYT to Calgary it was delayed and they missed their connecting flight from Calgary Ab to Edmonton alberta when spoke witha west jet member they were basically told sorry about your luck and would have to arrange their own way home. Which they did and cost them additional money again. Just to discover their bags were lost as well. They got lost in Calgary but by morning we were told they were in Edmonton when phoned the bags were in Vancouver. The service has been awful and they probably won't fly with westjet again if some sort of reimbursement isn't made.
Desired outcome: A refund would be nice of some sort for all the headaches and extra cost
Broken seat recliner
hi, I was travelling from New York to Calgary on a WestJet flight on Friday June 30th. The button in my armrest was missing, and I was unable to recline my seat and the flight was over four hours and I felt that my ability to make myself more comfortable was compromised as a result. I’ve attached a photograph of the issue for your perusal. I did mention this to a member of staff, but she said the only available spare seat I could’ve move to was at the back of the plane where the seats did not recline either, so there was no gain in this. It was suggested that I write to you and let you know about this situation.
Paying for unreserved seats
I flew with another companion on June 3rd, 2023 to Vegas from Calgary International Airport. I had booked through Air Miles. When trying to check in 24 hours before flight the system gave me an error message. When arriving at the airport on June 3rd the representative at the desk advised me I had to pay for my seats (which I had not reserved) they advised...

My name is Lawrence Willott. We try to use West Jet as often as possible and are very happy with your service. I also am a loyalty member as well.
In April 25, 2023 myself , Elizabeth Vandersel-Willott and Dorothy Payne were flying from Toronto to Honolulu, with a stop in Vanvouver.
I had booked these seats in November 8, 2022. I had ordered and paid for extra leg room for the emergency row exits three of us for the entire flights to Honolulu as well as a return from Vancouver to Toronto on May 8 2023.
We got on board and found out there was only one row per side of the plane with extra legroom seat instead of the two rows that I had originally booked.
I spoke to the Stewardess who indicated there was a flight switch prior and these were the only seats available.
The stewardess was understanding and advised us to write into West Jet for a refund on the seats we had paid for.
The flights involved were Flight 715 Toronto to Vancouver
Flight 1864 Vancouver to Honolulu
The above flights were on 25 April 2023
Our return flight was on the
May 2023 from Vancouver to Toronto That was flight 712.
I am sorry for the delay and would have sent this sooner but we had a medical issue with my wife involving surgery.

WestJet Gate Agents in Victoria, BC
June 26, 2023
Flight scheduled to depart YYJ at 2:50 PM to YYC to arrive at 5:13 PM
Flight was delayed over 50-60 minutes. Knowing I had to go through security and customs/ immigration I would miss my connection in YYC to Phoenix. The gate agent (male) stated that the international flight would wait for me- which is completely WRONG information. He also gave this same information to other US bound customers.
Please educate your YYJ WestJet outsourced employees on the time required to get an international flight. I raced through the Calgary airport to find out my flight had left, and they DO NOT hold flights for international guests. The gate agent in Calgary had to send me back through immigration and to WestJet customer service to find my hotel/meal voucher offer. The total I ended up walking/running is not an easy one.
I do not want another WestJet guest to experience what I went through.
Stuck on plane
We were on flight 1509 with service from SFO to YYC. When we landed in YYC we were stuck on the plane for over an hour. We knew our next flight from YYC to YEG was cancelled so we booked a car to drive. Because we were stuck on the plane for so long our rental car reservation was cancelled and we had to stay in YYC and rent a car for the next day. Our flight from yyc to yeg was cancelled. Reservation code for my husband and I was HKZZKS and BEREPB
Desired outcome: Money returned with a travel voucher
in flight services
Today on 25th June 2023, me and my wife were travelling with West Jet from Paris to Vancouver via Calgary.
West jet 9 from Paris to Calgary
West jet 123 from Calgary to Vancouver.
We reached Calgary from Paris almost 430pm (after 8 Hours of flight) and our flight was at 5pm from Calgary to Vancouver.
On WS 123 to YVR none of the cabin crew show the courtesy to provide any drinks even water, once the flight take off both the cabin crew went hiding and we saw them once the flight was landing. This is cruel to your guests, at least show the respect to your customers by providing a drink, and that too guests travelling long haul.
Your quick response will be highly appreciated,

Travel to Nanaimo bc
Bought a ticket 312.00 to Nanaimo bc return. May 3 2023. Leaving June 4 2023. Went to ticket agent to produce a boarding pass. Agent said I was not in the system. So I bought another ticket for 917.00 edm to Nanaimo. /Nanaimo to Calgary to edm. June 8 2023. The email I got only showed for return trip. Nanaimo to Calgary. Once in security area I asked two west jet employees about it. They said it would show to edm from Calgary once I book in on June 8. Forest fire had us all change our flight times June 8. Talked to agent to chg time June 7 from 1130am to 1445pm. 189.00. He told me I wouldn’t have got from Calgary to edm with that ticket. He set us up Nanaimo to Vancouver to Edmonton. Thx for your time. Ron Grassick

Canceling me from a flight
I recently booked a return flight via Booking.com on WestJet to Nashville. I booked the following options
Departing Toronto YYZ to Nashville on June 16 at 5;13pm on flight WS1428 to Nashville (Airline Reference HMLRCX)
Returning on June 18 at 5:30pm on flight WS1429 (Same airline reference)
These flights were non refundable, and I knew that when booking
Due to a change in work circumstance, I could not make the first flight (June 16). I knew my flight was non refundable, so I contacted the booking agent to inform I was not on the first flight. I made alternate arrangements to get to Nashville on 16th at my own expense, which - as I commended - I expected
When I tried to check myself onto the return leg on June 17, I was unable to do so. So I called your Helpdesk, at 1:16pm EST on Sunday 18 and was informed I was not scheduled to be on this return leg, and my booking was canceled.
I tried to reason with the representative that I booked two flights with you. One departing Toronto and one arriving to Toronto. I commented I understood that my first flight was not refundable, but I had every intention of returning on the second flight of my paid booking.
Unfortunately he could not help me, and the only way I could get on the flight home yesterday (18th June) was to pay another $444.46 and get on the flight I had previously booked
I am very disappointed in a number of things
1) The policy. Its very greedy.
2) Lack of communication. I would have expected a cancelation notice from you for the second flight so I could have jumped it immediately
3) The principle. You made me pay twice for the same seat on one flight, and you probably resold that seat I had bought - hence why it is greedy
I am also really upset with the lack of common sense and decency here. To be clear, I did not cancel my return flight. You canceled me, and you did not communicate with me, and took my money again. Its really is corporate greed at its worst, IMHO.
Desired outcome: A full refund of the $444.46
