we had bought a whirlpool fridge 3 years back from a dealer in hyderabad, now after three years a very delicate and essential part of the fridge on which the funcioning of it depends has suddenly stoped working i.e the PCB of the fridge. we had called the service centre in hyderabad ,they registered the compalint and send there service man. when the person came for inspection the first thing he asked was if we pay him Rs.280 as inspection charges then he would carry out the inspection, we agreed to it then he started taking his tools out and just looking at the pcb in a minute or two he said it is not possible to repair ,you need to replace it, and it would cost Rs.2800. we were shocked how could such an important part of the fridge can spoil in 3 years though the fridge was equipped with a good stabilizer and it cant be repaired .Moreover, he says the company does not have this part with it now they have to import it from some other country. so how can a company like whirlpool manufacture products that cannot be repaired but replaced and the consumers need to bear such heavy amounts for this.
And now we are keeping on making calls to the service centre and there response is "it will take more 5 days".

While I was searching Whirl Pool’s web site to lodge a complaint against poor service from whirlpool, Hyderabad, I found similar complaint. I thought comment my feelings to add the seriousness of the poor customer care.
Similar experience happened for me while I approached for my washing machine service. Still my washing machine is not in working condition. There is no surprise that the phone numbers given web site is no longer exists and not updated.
I suggest to learn customer care from other companies like V- Guard stabilizers, and Lakshmi Wet Grinders. Just try a complaint with them and understand the meaning of customer care.
I have also been facing the same problem as Husaifa, with the PCB, my fridge has been lying out of use for over a month even after placing an order for the PCB which was supossed to come within 5 days but has taken over a month now and counting.
Does anyone know what can be done?

Very poor customer care from Whirlpool. I have registered complaint on 18th of July 2008 but till now there is no action on it despite of more than 10 calls to customer care. The Whirlpool customer care system seems to be helpless which keeps on promising to send the engineer in two days and Whirlpool has closed all the other doors to reach them. If Whirlpool cannot serve properly then why does it take the maintainence contract for five years?
I've decided to never buy anything from Whirlpool in future.

Really it’s very bad service providing by him because on the first day itself it’s is not working & not powering on.
They people told within 24Hrs Engg will reach on site for this issue but still my problem is not resolved and my question why for repair; it should be exchanges if I am not wrong.
That dealer response is very bad .if this type for service you providing to customer then we have to think about whirlpool or same experience i told to my office & friends.
I expand 15000/- so I want to replace this frizz this is two days only

I bought a whirlpool water heater 4/08 and the pilot flame assembly will not stay burning 12/08
I just came up from the basement having replaced the gas control/thermostat valve. I found a troubleshooting flow chart online for my 50 gal. water heater. The flow chart directed me to replace the thermocouple, or the valve. I tested the thermocouple and it was good. I think next time I'm going tankless. They seem to be more reliable. Whirlpool wanted me to contact an authorized repair company, then wait to receive my reimbursement for service rendered. I found the part at Lowes, and replaced it in about 1 hour.
We have purchase a Mirco Woven from Spencer's retail ltd, Bakaram road, Hyderabad on 02-03-09 Vide Bill No : 1489. Spencer executive has told at the time of purchase wirlpool service people will come to your home & they will give the demo. Whirlpool executive has visited our home on 04-03-09, he just the woven is working or not. Whirlpoll executive has given the customer Care NO.[protected]. I am daily calling the customer they are telling we are very apologies for dealay next day they will come to your home. Till today no person has given the demo. I am very much unhappy for the services they are providing. I request all viwer plez do not purchase whirlpool item.

I am an "UNLUCKY" felllow who purchased a refrigerator of the "self praised "WORLDS No1 ? home applaince company...It was on 24th AUG 2009..and by gods grace one day it works for me, and dead. So i complained to the shop and they give a number of your service center in trivandrum named High Tech Solutions...and after repeated calls and one week they send an engineer, and he told that the gas is leaked! so as per his information I gave the copy of bill and warranty card to that service center and they told it will replaces with in one week. several times I called them and got the same reply as will be replaced with in one week. at last I called to the call center([protected] is the given number for registration) and shocked with the reply as the complaint is closed as the product is replaced? What a customer care YOU HAVE? Really great! and (It cost me more than 1000 rupees to calls itself, as evry times it told as all executives are busy) even I registered with SMS also till no reply for that...Again one person called me(His number [protected] and told as manager of trivandrum) and offered it will be replaced with in this week...today the date 25th Oct 2009. still its dead here...

Never ever buy any product from Whirlpool. There is water lekeage problem in my fridge. I have tried their Pune call centre number million times but no response. I also left a call back number and also sent a sms but all in vain. When I called the service centre no they said that I have to first register the complaint by calling call centre which is ridiculous. How am I in the warld going to register the complaint when there is no reponse. Pathetic and horrible customer service. Never going to but any Whirlpool product henceforth.
Daily 15 calls to the customer service desk of whirpool but still there has been no action taken.

My refrigerator could not be serviced after 2 years of purchase. There was a complete breakdown.
