I am a single mom with a special needs son and daughter and paid extra to purchase a Whirlpool with the Steam Clean Technology that does not work at all. I called Whirlpool to ask questions and review the process of the Self Steam Clean. It still did not work at all, didn't get very hot, all the distilled water remained on the bottom of the oven, even after running the Self Steam Clean 2 times! I have to clean the Range Top Cooking Service excessively too. I had a service repair person out and he said there is nothing that can be done to fix it, Whirlpool Designed it inadequately and it simply does not work. He advised looking up the law suit and calling Whirlpool to seek an exchange for a different oven and if they refused to request a refund or at least a partial refund. I called Whirlpool and the said they can send another, different repair tech out and/or provide a 15% coupon for me to purchase a NEW WHIRLPOOL OVEN. As if I have money to do that and I will never purchase any Whirlpool Appliances ever again. I am trying to get my daughter through several major hip surgeries and therapies this year and don't have time to keep up as it is let alone spend hours on end trying to figure out how to manually clean the inside of our new oven. We live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, does anyone know how I can join any and all law suits in efforts for a recall/refund? I will never purchase any Whirlpool Appliances ever again. The Refrigerator we purchased, at the same time, has already been replaced and the replacement doesn't have as many manufacturing defects but it does not work well! Thanks, Bonnie
Claimed loss: Purchase Price of Oven - Approximately $800
Desired outcome: Recall/Refund/Exchange for different oven with Self Clean that works.
I have yet to have my Whirpool washer fixed that I just purchased in July 2023 it has been over a week and no one contacted me to confirm an appointment. Never will I buy another whirpool and I will tell everyone not to buy one. Go to your local business to buy appliances. The big box corporations don't care about their customers.
