I went to the Mansfield, Tx location on Debbie Lane on 1/22/22 to get a carwash. The attendant asked me if I wanted a membership and I said no. I do not live close I was just in town for the day. He said I could use the membership anywhere and I again said NO I did not want the membership for $10/month. I paid with my debit card for the one car wash and proceeded to go through the wash. In looking at my checking account today I saw a charge for $10 from Zips for a monthly membership fee. I do not understand how after I told the attendant no twice that he would sign me up for a membership. There was no car wash tag placed on my car either indicating I had a membership. I have emailed the customer service and was told they would cancel my membership but I could use it through the end of the billing period. I do not have a membership and would never go back to a Zips Car Wash because of this. It seems this has happened to a lot of other people after reading the complaints board. This is the reply I received from Zips...
MELISSA LINDBLAD TX - 76028 - TXMAN_Debbie(C/V) - RFID #[protected] - Joined 1/22/2022 for Get It All 3 Month Intro $35 [Price: $35.00] card ending 8286. This membership has been canceled.
Desired outcome: I want my account reimbursed for the $10 I was charged today for the membership that I never had.
Something like this happened to me as well. I was borrowing someones care and wanted to return it clean. So I went to the closest car wash and paid $15 from the little automatic machine for a car wash on July 20, 2022. Was looking at my credit card charges a couple months later and saw I have been charged $30 a month for a membership I never signed up for, never was notified about, and now have to find a way to stop these charges without canceling my credit card and going through that hassle. This is the definition of fraud right?
Even after cancelling my credit card and filing the fraud paperwork with CITI Cards, my $105 was not refunded.

Horrible scammers. I was at the one in Burleson October 19, 2022, Zips #101 BURLESON TX. I just wanted a basic car wash and the man told me that I can get the supreme one today if I give him my email to sign up. I asked numerous times if this was going to be coming out every month. He stressed to me NO it would not. Well I got a $10 fee in November. I called to cancel and give them my thoughts about it. Not happy! He cancelled but still told me that I cannot get a refund for the November. So they cheated me out of $10! I will never go back to a Zips again. I hate liars and thieves.
ZIPS are liars and thieves. This seems to be a companywide practice.
The government should bring criminal charges against the managers and whoever answers the credit card disputes for wire fraud.
I went to Zips and purchased a $15 car wash. The next thing I know, my credit card is being charged $30 for a couple of months. I had to contact my credit card company and issued a fraud claim. My credit card company issued me a new card and blocked Zips from any additional charges. When I finally contacted Zips, they would not refund my money on the grounds that I had to cancel my membership within 7 days of the charge. I didn't sign up for a membership! What kind of a business is this? I WILL NEVER GO TO ZIPS AGAIN.
The same thing happened to me.
Contact the FTC and your local district attorney.
ZIP did the same thing to me, but I did not notice the charges until 3 months into it. $105 removed from my credit card fraudulently.
I filed a complaint with CITI Cards and ZIPS sent them a copy of an unsigned contract. My signature appears nowhere.
CITI Cards, unbelievably, sided with ZIPS.
Report them to the FTC and your local district attorney.
We should sue them, they did it to me too. The guy said they have a promotion to pay $10 for the carwash and it would be valid for the month, the purpose was to attract new customers, to put my name and phone number in a form, I said I don't want a membership, I don't want my card to be charged monthly, the guy said it was not a membership and I won't be charged. Then my son went and he was told it is a membership. I called them and nobody would pick up, I chat with someone and told me to call customer service, I went to the location, and the person in charge said he was the manager, he won't cancel the membership and that I can do whatever I want.
