Zips car wash drive in service located at Challenger Avenue, Roanoke, VA
My daughter, Bailey Webb took her brand new car to this Zip Car Wash. There was an attendant there that was supposed to guide her car through the track. Apparently, the attendant did not do that. Half way through the wash, she felt the car shift and heard a loud noise. When the car came out, it had a big place on the drivers side front and major scratches on the front passenger side under the bumper. Her car was not damaged before she went through the Zips car wash that day. The car needs to be fixed back to its proper brand new state.
Please get back with me asap.

Zips car wash
In Boynton Beach, Florida, Zips car wash sold me unlimited car wash for a month for $15. That is all. Neither was I notified at the time of the purchase nor did I receive any email explaining that I will be joining a club; and that I will be charged a $37.45 monthly fee.
Today, May 21, my credit card was charge $37.45, I immediately tried to contact them. Guess what there is no contact phone - only online contact. So I submitted a cancel request immediately, however, I just learned the fine print embedded in FAQ somewhere on the zips website that the cancel request must be submitted 7 days before the billing cycle. I learned that there are more than 600 complaints against Zips car wash for its bad business practice on the BBB alone.
Did the Zips car wash really cancel my membership and will not charge me $37.45 again next month, I do know as I have not received any email from them.
What about the credit of $37.47 that it has been charged on my credit car already?
Car wash experience
I was in line on 5-20-22 between 7:45pm and 7:55pm at the pontoon beach IL location. There was a car in front of us and someone in street close came over and started talking to the driver in front of us. I waited patiently for a few minutes, the Zips employee waved the front customer at least two times or more but this person kept talking. He acted like he was walking away and then he returned and kept talking holding up the line. Both parties seen there was a line and did not seem to care. As everyone is well aware fuel prices are extremely expensive and we had a young child with us. I auto pay $20.00 a month to zips and believe I am a loyal customer. After waiting for the second interaction between the two parties I honked. The man in street close instantly started yelling at me and told me he was a manager and I had to leave without getting a car wash. 1 he made me reverse out of the entrance which is dangerous and was very rude. The two employees with company uniforms on was very confused and didn’t know what to do. The man in street clothes claiming to be a manager was yelling at us and approaching our car. I backed out of the entrance to car wash to avoid confrontation not knowing who this person was. If he really was a manager this was the most unprofessional situation for a paying customer. If the customer in front of me really had trouble with something the professional thing to do would be to acknowledge I was waiting and let me know something as wrong. There was no information giving by a so called manager letting me know there was a issue. If this is a representative of the company I will be letting all my friends, family, and neighbors know the situation at Zips Car wash.
Desired outcome: I want to be contacted to resolve the issue
Car wash on Baymeadows Dr. Jacksonville Florida
The shamy buffers don't work. The wax needs to be adjusted and repaired. It runs down the side of the vehicle. There are no more rags to wipe excess spots. I whave 3 accounts and if nothing's done this month I will cancel membership.
Desired outcome: Repair all noted items
Always a sign in the way and no one here
There is always a sign saying they’ll be right back. Happens all the time!
Gone into Walmart, did a couple errands just to come back with it still not open.
The people that are there are usually on their phones and smoking while they service vehicles. Very unprofessional!
They barely spend anytime spraying cars off. I live off of a dirt road!
Desired outcome: I have several friends who have this same service considering canceling. Thought I’d try to get this resolved before doing the same.
Their equipment broke my windshield and no one has followed up.
I went to Zips car wash located at 1511 Niedringhaus Ave. Granite City, Il 62040 on April 1, 2022 and entered the carwash as instructed. There was a loud pop of something hitting my windshield resulting in a large crack. Upon exiting the facility, I went straight to the office and reported it. The manager came out and looked at my car and took pictures of...

I signed up with your company about 3 months ago now, I was never given any information as to creating an account, no literature on an online site, nothing. The first month everything was fine, the second month, the same, so I signed my GF up as well, 10 dollar charge for a single membership both times. This month I get hit with TWO 40 dollar charges! For WHAT? I was never given any reason as to why I was suppose to pay an extra 60 dollars. I called my bank, WellsFargo and had them look into it, I was only given 70 dollars back because the rep on the phone didnt cancel the second membership for some reason so I'm still out 10 bucks, at this point it's an inconvenience but whatever. My issue is the way this company is run, putting it bluntly, its shady!
Desired outcome: Confirmation of cancelled account and 10 dollar refund.
Car wash billing
Hello first let me say it’s not easy to get to this page to contact you. I went by your establishment to see if I could fix this there they told me it had to be done online which I do not see any page or any option to fix this then I called your number and no one picks up. Very aggravating. I have about two hours of time invested trying to get in touch with you to tell you that you overcharged me. I have two vehicles on my plan. I traded one vehicle an got another. Saturday May 7th I went to your location in Knoxville and told the gentleman that I traded and I needed to replace the Camry for this new vehicle Infiniti. You all had just billed me $30 plus $15 for the extra car about eight days ago. Then after I came and seen you guys you build me another $15. That’s $60 that I’m paying for two vehicles and not even using that much. Throughout all this aggravation and all this grief in the overcharge ment I’m almost thinking of switching to one of your competitors because they are popping up everywhere and cheaper….
After all the emails I’m now being told I will not get any type of refund..
Desired outcome: Credit me $15 for overcharged

Unlimited washes
I signed up for zips car Wash years ago, at the price of $15 a month for unlimited watches. I was told that the price was set I was grandfathered in and that the price would never ever show up. Since then my car wash has gone up to $35 a month, without my knowledge, or consent. When I spoke to an employee and complained they gave me a customer service phone number that does not work. There is no way to get in contact even though he assured me that I would be able to get a hold of someone. That employee's name was Haven. He told me he was going to make it right and was going to refund me all of the extra money a month which was a total of $20. He said he was going to fix my rate to $15 a month again. The next time I arrived to get a car wash, I was told that my membership had been canceled. When I went into complains and asked for Haven, I was told that he was fired for Miss conduct. They then gave me the same contact information for customer service which did not work they apologized profusely and told me that they would make sure that I would get my refund and that they would contact me within a week. Nothing happened. I have called I have emailed I have tried to get a hold of customer service and nobody has reached back out to me in any way shape or form.
Desired outcome: Refund, mostly. To fix my membership. Do the right thing.
Paying for service and not getting it
My large family has 18 vehicles set up on auto pay which is a lot of cash paid out monthly. We have all noticed that the car wash is ran by nothing but kids. They don’t care! First off they never great you and it always feels like we are inconviencing them every time we pull up. These kids do whatever they want and we are sick of it. They close down before 8pm all the time 630/7:00/etc. Numerous times we have washed the car pull around and the kids shut off the vacuum cleaners 1 or 2 hours early, they never put the cart out with towels etc, when you ask them, they are rude about it. They do what ever the flip they want to do. Closing early because they want ti get home… and most of the time they never have anyone drying the vehicles coming out of the wash. We have to stop get out, wipe down the soap left in mirrors etc, and then on top of that have to go around the vehicle and adjust our mirrors also. They place also looks horrible with trash and weeds growing everywhere and just looks like nobody cares. We pay for this service which includes wiping down, vacuums, towels. The other day at 7 pm I am vacuuming my car and they turn off the vacuums on several of us customers and when I asked them to please turn them back on, the young kid was rude and said no. Cars were 1/2 vacuumed. This is the crap we have to deal with.
Desired outcome: Training, firing lazy kids, having the same service each and every time we show up, greet the customer with a wave or smile. They all actually look miserable.
Refund
Just visited your car wash and they said my subscription had expired, so I came home and looked at my bank records. We have two vehicles registered and you are taking 30.00 month out of my TVA credit union account and it varies from 25 to 30 out of my Regions bank account. so far this year you have taken $265.00 out of our checking accounts. How can out subscription be expired? I want to cancel and get a refund for some of this.

your system makes it almost impossible to get in contact with a human. the different options take folks to additional non-Zip services for question and other items. I guess you are so big that the customer no longer matters.
The Zips in South Knoxville, Tennessee is running down. They hardly ever put the prewash buckets out and when they do there in only water in them. You never know if they are going to do the prewash spray or not and most of the time, they barely hit the car. Seems to be just an action they are required to complete without results.
The new car wash just up the street in Seymour is MUCH Better!
Being charged monthly for a service I canceled in November
I am being charged $14.99 monthly for a service I canceled back in November. I have reached out and emailed. The person that I emailed said I could not get a refund because I could not send him a screen shot of my bank information. He did reassure me that they would not take anymore money.
However here I am again. I know $14.99 does not seem like a lot but, I work 2 jobs!
I would very much appreciate it if someone could please help me.
Desired outcome: I would very much like a refund please.
Membership I did not agree to
I have been signed up for a zips membership that I did not agree to. I went through the car wash back in December. When I was about to put my car in the machine a guy came up and said he would upgrade my car wash from, I think 15 price, die a promotion you were running and it would just just cost $10. Of course there are 5 cars behind me so there is no time to ask why I would get a $5 discount for no reason, and of course I would like my $15 car wash to be only $10. Now I look at my bank statements and see several $40 charges. There may be people who can afford that, but I am not one of them. I obviously did not realize I had been swindled by a person who misrepresented the discount or I would have addressed it before now. I went to the car wash and talked to someone about the charges, this is the first time I got a car wash since December because I cannot afford it, and he was not able to help, saying I could only get help through the website. I then went to the website and was unable to submit a ticket. This is ridiculous and obviously meant to prevent people from being able to resolve their issues. How do people who do not know how to use the internet, who are more likely to be swindled, get any help! I am furious that a business was so openly dishonest and then so unavailable for help is aloud to be in business. Zips owes me $120 dollars and probably a lot of people a lot more than that. I am 100 percent positive I was not presented with a membership, nor was the word membership ever told to me. In addition, I see the payments taken out if my account are not even monthly, but charged three times from 3/16/22 through 4/18/22. I had about 7 seconds to agree to what sounded like a discount for the holidays.
Desired outcome: Refund of $120, for 3 payments which were not not monthly of $40 on 3/16/22, 4/5/2022, and4/18/22
Dude, pretty much the same thing here. In CLT NC, Wilkinson Drive location, went thru the first time, guy says "I can upgrade that for you for a full month for 15 dollars"...sure, wtf, why not. So the month passes, no issues, it renews the first time at 10 dollars. Everything is still fine, however their car wash did break down a few times that month, still I'm saving some cash. I go thru again, this time w/my girlfriend behind me and pay for her membership as well. This month, I get hit with TWO 40 dollar charges from this place! I call my bank, WF, have the funds reversed ...I'm done w/this place, even more so from reading your story, I don't doubt youre being honest with what I went thru. Anyone considering going with this scam of a car wash, I'd keep tabs on your monthly bank statement!
Car wash not always fully functioning most of the time
I have 2 monthly memberships with you guys and almost every time I use your car wash it isn't fully operational half your spin brushes aren't working the soap usually isn't fully rinsed off when existing car wash and the tire scrubber/ tire shine does a horrible job I'm seriously considering dropping both memberships and going elsewhere
Billed for membership that was cancelled
I took advantage of the car wash club. I did the initial car wash and paid with my debit/credit card. I went to the vacuum area and 50% of the equipment was not functioning. I spoke to the person who took my debit/credit card data information and the on duty manager. they explained that the membership would be cancelled due to my complaint, on 4/30/2022 my account was charged with a monthly fee. I want a refund and evidence of cancellation.
Damage caused by your employee
On 22 April I visited the Zips Carwash in Westworth Village in Fort Worth TX.
I own a Black 2020 Ford F-150 Limited. I was directed to follow a truck that had a stowed scooter carrier on it. As we were queueing up to enter the wash area I heard the site manager clearly tell the person directing traffic to remove the scooter carrier from the truck or not let him enter the wash. The young man directing traffic spoke to the driver of the truck in front of me and than directed him into the wash. He then started directing me into the wash area. I was hesitating and he became animated asking me to move forward. I followed his direction. when we entered the wash rack the wash equipment became jammed on the truck in front of me and it jammed the entire system. The drive wheels for the wash rack drove my truck into the back of the truck in front of me. The front bumper and left rear quarter panel was damaged when my truck was forced off the rack. the manager stopped the wash rack and asked his employee why he did not remove the scooter carrier as he was directed. When we cleared the car wash both myself and the truck in front of me pulled around to speak to the manager. Even though we all followed the directions of the employees at the car wash the manager claimed it is corporates policy to load the vehicles on every third roller. The damage to my truck is clearly the responsibility of ZIPS and they should be held responsible for the repairs resulting from there careless directions.
Desired outcome: I would like Zips to repair the front bumper and the right rear trim on the back quarter panel. Damage caused by there equipment and failure to follow safe working policy.
Broken footboard
As our car was in the the car wash, the machine that was washing the car ripped the plastic and broke the footboard and jerked the left tire. I immediately drove out and filed on paper what exactly happened and took pictures. I have tried contacting zips via email and phone number via website for over two weeks. I’ve been talking to Jessica Turner. She keeps informing me is email that the district manager will get in contact with me. I have yet to hear back from anyone from zips. I have gotten estimates. I want zips to pay for it for everything that was broken. We have a brand new 2022 jeep grand Wagoneer series III. I am very disappointed in this company and how they have handled this situation. And for me to bring them the estimate and they will write me a check. But I want the company to pay for the entire damage and not just possibly maybe was damaged from that we can see from the outside. They informed me that if there was more damage after they began working on the footboard. Zips would not pay for anything additional to what the estimate was written for. But as a customer I should not get a car wash and then have to pay for my car to be fixed. Zips should take care of the entire bill. I’m very frustrated. I will never be getting another car wash there ever again.
Desired outcome: I would like zips to pay for my entire bill for getting the footboard and left tire fixed. And not just an estimate and cutting me a check. I should not get a car wash and then have to pay for my car to be fixed.
Damaged Vehicle
I send all my information to Zip Car Wash and had no reply so I had my lawyer send a letter to help me get my car fixed.
The car wash was being worked on Saturday I came back the next day.
The truck in front of me his wheel came off the line and my car kept going. They stopped the wash and said everything was fine, but it wasn't the truck in front of me hit me, and the car in the back hit me.
I have a video of this.
Well, I got a letter back today and it said I had previous damage to my car and previous damage from your car is not covered.
I have never had my car worked on ever, and they also said I had touch-up paint covering my damage.
So how do you go about fighting this, they are a fraud and try to cover themselves by saying you had the previous damage before when you don't.
I believe this is insurance fraud, they never pay for anyone's claim even when damaged by their car wash.
Desired outcome: I would like them to fix my car and say they are sorry for calling me a liar about my car not being damaged by their car wash
