Billing
The past week zips has been charging my old bank card. My bank is constantly declining the payment of $32.25. I used to be a member until I moved out of town and there was no zips close to where I had moved. So I canceled my membership. I’ve haven’t had this problem until now.
Desired outcome: Stop charging my bank money when I’m no longer a member at zips.
zip car wash
In November 2021, I sent via email from the Zip Car Wash website stating I wished to cancel my two memberships to Zip Car Wash. I received an email back stating that the request was update. I have continuously been billed on my credit cards for these services. I have tried calling the number on my credit card but no one from support is ever available. I sent another email in May 2022, trying to get this resolved still am being billed on my credit cards. I have been overbilled by around 450, with no hopes of getting this stopped. I have contacted my credit card company trying to dispute these charges But yet they still occur. I went to the local car wash today and was told that they dont even see where I have two memberships yet they still bill me. . Beware of this company!
Desired outcome: I would like to see my membership canceled with no further charges. I would like to see the overcharge on my credit cards refunded.

Hello Gavin,
4453 Meramec Bottom Road
Saint Louis, Mo 63129
I came by the car wash the morning of Thursday, 9 June 2022, at approximately 0930 AM, and the hood of my car was scratched as a result of going through the car wash. I contacted Zips via phone and was instructed when I got off work to go back to your location to file a claim. That’s exactly what I did. The car wash attendant took pictures and I filled out a claim form(car wash attendant did admit to me that the car wash has had issues that last few weeks and I can attest to that with see people working on the car wash as a daily customer) and I have not been contacted yet regarding my claim. My car is brand new I’ve only had it for 2 months and I faithfully wash my car at your location and dry my car off either at the car wash location or when I arrive to work on Arnold or around the corner back at my house. I went through the car wash on 9 June and the car wash did not seem to be working properly. Went to my work location in Arnold started to dry my car off and saw the scratch on my hood with all the paint missing in the scratch. I am a loyal member of Zips and wash my car at your location sometimes twice a day. Please contact me to discuss a resolution to my car damage claim ASAP. If you need to contact me during the hours of [protected] please call my work number at [protected]. After 1500 please call my cell phone [protected]. I look forward to speaking with you and working out a resolution.
Desired outcome: Above is the email I sent the manager. I need the scratch fixed on my car ASAP.
Customer service
On Saturday June 18th 2022 I was in line waiting for a young man help a customer and they had an extensive conversation. I was not the only one in line for a car wash. Then a short kid named Jackson came and slammed a cone in front of my vehicle and starred at me like he had a bad attitude. I asked the other young man what his problem was. The original guy helping customers then told me that Jackson was on/using drugs. First of all why didn't that little [censored] put the cone at the back of the line? The lady in the car behind me was extremely pissed off and began to cuss at Jackson in front of my very young son. That lady also asked me to include her in this complaint. He later came to my vehicle and told me to leave “his car wash” as I was searching for someone with more authority on the internet. He needs to reprimanded and put in his place. It was a very embarrassing experience as my 6yr old son had to also witness this! If I didn't have my son with me Jackson would’ve been in the hospital and I would’ve been jailed! Something absolutely needs to be done about this kids drug abuse on the job before he runs into the wrong person freshly out of prison or someone having the worst day of their life!
Desired outcome: Drug testing, and reprimand this ahole and remind him that that car wash is NOT his!
‘Works’ Car Wash
Paid $20 cash to the attendant for the ‘Works’ 20 Jun 22 Pat Booker location.
After the wash I noticed there was no tire shine, asked the attendant if there was some in a bottle I could use, he asked which wash I purchased & agreed there should’ve been some on the tires. No resolution. Basically asked if I had a receipt, of which I wasn’t offered when I paid.
*Noticed half of the tunnel was not functioning, and attendant had to manually pull the roller up w/ a yellow nylon rope to activate it.
Awful customer service
Awful tunnel wash
Awful experience
And I was ripped off $20 for (maybe) a $7 wash.
Desired outcome: $13 dollars or another actual Works wash
Damage to vehicle
Location: 5615 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, Date & Time of Incident- 12/24/21, 11:02am. While I was in the carwash my car came off the rails and starting veering to the right. The carwash was shutdown and they were able to guide me out. They sent me through again for a free wash and it came off the rails again! I went straight home and noticed the front passenger side of my car was damaged. I immediately took pictures. On 12/27/21 I went back to carwash, filed a report, pictures were taken, was told the manager would call back that day. No call, so I filed an online report. 1/4/22 called carwash & spoke with CJ, the mgr, was told he would call me back. No response. 1/7/22 received "form" email in response to my claim. Then the entire Zips phone lines were out of commission for months! 3/2/22 filed another online report. 3/8/22 return email from Ashley saying my case was being forwarded to district manager & manager of local site. No response. 4/22/22 went to carwash & spoke with CJ again, texted him the pictures of the damage, with a promise to call back. No response once again. 5/2/22 texted CJ, no response. 5/4/22 filed another online complaint. 5/9 & 5/11 received two emails wanting me to rate the support. 6/1/22 went back to carwash in person, was given the phone number of the district manager, Chris Ellison and the local manager. I immediately called the district manager & left a message. He called back that night and I returned his call the next morning 6/2/22. I explained the situation and how frustrated I was, texted him the pictures of the damage. He promised that he would take care of it. He followed up later by text on 6/2 & 6/3. He then called on 6/7/22 at 6:11pm to tell me that my claim was denied. I was told that there was prior damage to my car in the areas of the damage & they aren't responsible for it. Not the case. And that my steering column, etc was defective, or I had my hands on the steering wheel and that's why it came off the rails. Definitely not the case. They had me put my hands on the steering wheel after it came off the rails. Chris was rudely adamant that it was my fault & that no other car came off the rails that day, but mine. We argued the facts of everything back and forth, and then he gave me the name/number of the Risk Manager, Jeff Crozier. Chris pretty much hung up on me after an 11 minute conversation. At 6:28 I received a text from Chris saying "I could have just given her your number but no! Also you owe me! You missed our call today for you to blast us!" At 6:29 I received another text from Chris saying ""sorry wrong person" After almost 6 months, this issue is still not resolved. I have an estimate for my car for $1730.92.
I was unable to upload any documents. I was getting an error message.
Desired outcome: Damage to be paid for and compensation for the six months it has taken to get to this point.
duplicate charges
zips has deducted over 200.00 of charges to my credit card then when i go to car wash they tell me cancelled service i want my money refunded
Desired outcome: Refund
Damage to vehicle not being resolved.
Hello,
We had damage done to our vehicle in February 7th, 2022 and we filed an Incident Report with your company. We have submitted the necessary quotes and have not heard back from anyone regarding the payment or resolution. We were told recently that the District Manager Marla Bagemehl would be following up with our claim, but we have yet to hear from her. Our incident report # is 109015. Thank you, Aaron Senn
Desired outcome: Please contact us and make the payment.
Damage to vehicle. Tried to call local store but no one answers. Voice mail not setup so cant leave a VM to receive a call back.
Damage to my truck
On May 14,2022 entered the zips wash on Sunset Avenue in Springdale Arkansas. My antenna got bend/broken which then led to it denting the fender. I reported it right then and the attendant filled out an incident report. I was asked to provide them with 3 estimates to have it fixed. I received a text today (6/13/22) from Zips stating they were not responsible for antenna damage or damage to the truck caused by the antenna damage. The text also stated they do not cover damages to any vehicle older than 8 years old. IF this were true, why was I asked to provide estimates after they saw on the incident report that my truck is a 2012 model.
Desired outcome: Fix my truck!
Sevierville Tn branch
Since the new manager took over this place has gone to hell. Very RARELY is the soao turned on at the pre wash before going on the conveyor. Many times they do not spray the vehicle. The first area where soap comes down used to be all the way across. Now just the center nozzle dribbles. The blowers do not dru like they used to. Went one time in a sunny day at 11, 3 hours after opening still no soap in the ore spray, no soap or watee in the bucket with the brush before you enter, no towel or even the vacuum. This new guy is arrogant as can be. We're DONE
Desired outcome: How about three months refund since he's been there longer and the service has sicked as well as the wash.George Fernandez528 Kingfisher Ave Sevierville. 37862
Owner of Car Wash is not responding to calls or voicemails regarding incident that occurred regarding my vehicle.
On 06-03-22, at approximately 3:40pm, I was waiting in line at the Glen Carbon, IL Zips Car Wash. I waited for 5-10 minutes due to the staff trying to work out an issue with the assembly line. The staff finally got it working and there were two cars in front of me. In the middle of the wash, the vehicle in front of me began to rise and back up. The vehicle's rear bumper fell on top of my front bumper. My vehicle had scratches on the front bumper and the other vehicle had an imprint of my license plate on its rear bumper along with scratches. The owner of the vehicle and I observed video of the incident immediately. The incident occurred at 3:49:49pm according to the video. Staff members, Alicia and Kyle said the incident appeared to be the fault of the car wash. Contact was made with the owner, Edmund, by phone on 06-06-22. Edmund said he would contact me after viewing the video. As of 06-10-22, Edmund has not answered my calls or voicemail after multiple attempts since 06-06-22. I think the owner should show the professional courtesy by addressing the concerns of his customers by returning their calls, especially those who have membership (4 vehicles). Also, it has been brought to my attention by one of the staff members that the other person involved in the incident has cancelled her membership.
Desired outcome: I appreciate a response and would like the car wash to pay for the scratches.
Car wash
Zips does not maintain their equipment. I've been to multiple locations over the last month. Every one of them had some part of the wash that was malfunctioning.
Desired outcome: Maintain your equipment.
Car wash employee damaged my car
On 05/03/2022 at around 7:15 a female zippz Employee did not direct my car into car washed directly and caused me to scrape 7 inches of my chrome rims on the front drivers side
Desired outcome: Expenses to my damaged care paid for
Denial, question about my car
Dear Sirs,
I purchased a special offer for my Honda Accord at 10.00 per month unlimited.
When I went in with my 2002 Corvette, which I have used untold times the attendant told me it was too low.
I have used the brushless wash and was told no! I wanted the $10.00 special and he said no!
To me, that is not the way to do business. Now there are other car washes in my area, so if that is the case, I will cease my membership and look for alternatives.
Thank you in advance,
Steve C
Sunday 6/5/22 3:30 pm
Desired outcome: A fair solution to a loyal customer. I would appreciate a response.
Vacuum and Car Wash
Went to the Zips on 3701 Southern Manor Dr. St. Louis 63125 today 6/5/22. I am a member. I pulled up in a spot to vacuum my car. The gentleman in the next spot had the vacuum for my spot and I asked for it back. He said "When he is finished" in a very ignorant voice. I waited a few minutes and waited until he stood up out of his car and proceeded to take the vacuum. He held on to it and said "You do not take vacuum out of my hands. Wait till I give it." I said "Fine, give it to me so I can vacuum my car as I have already been waiting long enough." It went downhill from there. I went in to get some help from the manager. The assistant manager would not go out and get the hose. There were 3 workers. Two were sitting doing nothing and one Zaid was working. She would not give me her name or the manager's name. Zaid was the one who told me the top manager's name was Tommy. He came out to help me get the hose and the guy kept reiterating over and over and over that he will give to me but I can't take it. I said "Fine...give it to the worker." My point in all of this is the manager should have come out and helped rather than be very ignorant to me. The 3rd worker wouldn't give me his name. This Zips has vacuums that don't work, the carwash doesn't wash the soap off and does not dry you car will. I cancelled my membership today and will never go back. I will find her name and won't stop until I am heard. She said there is no owner of this Zips.
Desired outcome: I would like a call from the owner.
Memberships in line slow others ability to get services
May 3, 2022. Time was 2:00
Due to your continued efforts to sell memberships in the wash lane, the approximate wait to get a car wash was 20 minutes. I was 3rd in line. There is only one lane. The other lane has been closed for months. The line to get a car wash extends out into the street which is also very dangerous. You need to open up the other lane so current members and customers can get through much quicker. Why have two lanes if it is never used for the convenience of others.
Desired outcome: Open up your other lane so people to bypass the slow process of obtaining your memberships. This has been an ongoing problem for months ( 6-8) minimum.
Cleaning of the car after going through
I been a member of the car service for about 5 months, the last few months I been so disappointed in the service it's take about 3min to go through and your car looks as you didn't wash it. Was told you pay for the month take it back through. It has went down hill in the last few months so sad I not going back just payed 0n 22 05 2022 for a month. Money down the drain like the business so SAD.
Desired outcome: Money back or better service
Customer Service/Vacuums
I came to Zips Car Wash on Wednesday May 25th 2022 at around 6:55 p.m. I payed for a $20 car wash with plans to have my vehicle washed and to vacuum it out afterwards. I went through the car wash, pulled in to vacuum service area and sure enough the vacuums were turned off. The attendant on duty should’ve notified me that the vacuums were turned off prior to me paying for the Car Wash. If I had known that the vacuums were off I would’ve went elsewhere. Also, the attendant on duty was rude and offered no help.
Vehicle damaged in car wash
On May 14th 2022 at approximately 10:45am my wife and I visited the Zips Car Wash in Kannapolis, NC. We were greeted by a very young teenager who assisted us with our wash purchase. Upon entering the wash, the same young teenager guided my wife in to wash aligning the front tire into the tire rail track. About 2 minutes into the wash our car suddenly started to lift and stop progressing forward, we were surprised and started looking around for an employee to come out. I pulled out my phone and was about to call the office when our car was dropped down suddenly, leaving the front left tire our the outside of the tire rail. The brushes continued to rub against our car causing damage to the drivers side door and rear fender. The manager (Brian Chistian) and several employees came out and proceeded to assist us with getting our tire back over the rail and in between the tire guide. Brian told me to back up or drive forward several times however the surface was too slippery for the tire to gain enough traction to climb over the tubular track bar. Finally Brian lifted out
several of the large metal panels at the very end of the car wash and placed them behind and in front of the tire and asked me to drive forward. This worked and our tire was back correctly in the track. After we exited the wash we drove to the drying stall where Brian came out and wrote up an Incident Report Form. Brian was able to remove some of the black marks from the driver's side door, however there are still minor dents in the door and scratches to the bumper. Brian was unable to provide a copy of the report citing broken printer, however I took a picture of the report. Brian informed me that he would submit the report to "corporate" and asked me to return in a few days. I returned last Thursday, and Brian said that Corporate had denied our claim because this was an "unusual event". I asked Brian for the phone # or email to corporate but he refused to provide. I then asked Brian for the district managers info, again he refused to provide his/he contact information. I am very disappointed in how our situation has been handled at this point and would like some assistance in resolving the matter and fixing the damage to our vehicle caused by your equipment. I quite certain your company has insurance (as do all businesses) in the event of property damage accidents.
Desired outcome: Zips Car Wash will pay for the damages to our vehicle caused the malfunctioning equipment during our car wash.
