Ackermans Online Shopping / Tracking (Appalling service)

I have never experienced such bad service from a retailer before.

1. When calling the contact centre line, the line gets dropped, the consultants are not prepared to go the extra mile.

2. You are supposed to be able to track your order online and an expected delivery date should be provide, however, the tracking system does not work. Just tells you an item was dispatched and does not even give you a delivery date

3. Turn around time for delivery to a store is shocking. 5-10 working days. Any other retailer delivers within 3-5 working days to your DOOR.

4. Consultants cannot give clear answers to questions as they are themselves clueless as to their processes

Ackermans really need to revamp their processes inhouse.

I will never order a product online ever again.

In fact, I will never recommend them as their standard in store has also dropped.

I remember growing up and my mom placing lay-byes and making purchases. The service then compared to the service now ... Vast difference

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response as I have already been billed for this product. I cannot even cancel the order. Order number 42282. My contact details are on the order

Ackermans Attitude!!!

When visiting your store on Tuesday the 26/04/2022 at about 14h30 at Clearwater Mall, I was standing in the line to pay there was about 10 customers ahead of me with only 3 tellers. While standing in the line a lady came from the other side not in the que and went ahead of everybody else when asking her if she is going to pay the que is behind me the answer was I don't que I am pregnant well I nearly hit the roof is being pregnant a illness? needles to say I am a pensioner but I have to que. The tellers laughed at my remark which I find very rude and still proceeded helping her! Do old age pensioners get no recognition and why should we get treated this way this is so bad and not acceptable.

Desired outcome: I want to know what the outcome is,or is there discrimination involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also have rights.

Ackermans Customer Service - Opening a new account with Ackermans

GARDEN ROUTE MALL, GEORGE - 6.4.2022 - Completed a new application form to open an account with Ackermans. Firstly, walked to the ATM to request a 3 month bank statement (incurred fees in this regard). Then completed the application form at the counter and handed same to the assistant (SIPHOKUHLE TYAKUME) together with 3 months bank statement. Was advised that I would be contacted within 24/48 hours confirming whether the account would be opened.

13.4.2022 - Went into Ackermans this morning to enquire whether the account had been opened as I had not heard from head office confirming opening of the account. The assistant (PRINCESS) proceeded to phone a department (this took quite some time I might add!) Eventually she informed me that I must complete another Application Form but she could not give me any reason why this had to be done AGAIN!. Told her that this was very bad client service.

FIRSTLY - no communication confirming the opening of the account.

SECONDLY - I had to go into the shop personally and enquire about the account only to be told that I must complete another application form. NO APOLOGIES either. BAD CLIENT SERVICE AGAIN!

Now I will have to request another 3 month bank statement (incur yet more bank fees), then be inconvenienced to complete the application form once again (holding thumbs that THIS second application form is not lost, like the first).

I am attaching a copy of the application completed on 6.4.2022.

PLEASE ADVISE HEREIN URGENTLY.

Ackermans Don't get the necessary information needed.

I am a new account holder. I was contacted by Ackermans1 to open an account. Which I did. Now I wanted to do my first purchase online, which keeps declining. I have been on the phone with account service for more than an half hour, without any answers. Line keeps dropping. Oooh one consultant says account is blocked? How? I never even used the account. Very unhappy with the service. Going to take this further if I don't get the answers I want soon.

Ackermans Calling Agent

To whom it may concern,

I would like to lay a formal complaint being harass by one of the consultants that call regarding outstanding accounts.

I have ask her politely not to call me in the morning while being at work. Her responds to me was that she don't choose the call, but its being done by the system. So I ask her, that I'm sure she can make a note. Her responds to me was that if I have paid as agreed they will not need to call.

I than ask her to please call me after 4. Its now 9:50 and 8 miss calls from this no. [protected]).

The call happen this morning at 8:25 am

Please advice

Desired outcome: My wishes to be respected.

Ackermans Costumer services

Thaba nchu Ackermans never takes costumers very serious...it's been happening vfor months now and I just can't take it.theres always 1 cashier on till although the que is fricking long...a costumer is not supposed to que for an hour before getting help.

Ackermans Missing payments

I have been paying my acketrmans clothing acvcount through ozow unfortunately when I typed in my card number I did so incorrectly and have been paying to the incorrect number since Dec 2021 - 28 Feb 2022. Now I am being harassed by agents for not paying. Missing payment section is not getting back to me and they do not put a note on the system so the agents keep on calling while you are busy with the query. This has been ongoing since the 14th March 2022. If they had contacted me before then I would have picked up the problem. Now I get no feedback. I do not know if my money has gone to someone else account. Please I need to know if my money can be retrieved or not?

Ackermans No prices on items

I have been shopping at Ackermans, PnP centre in Klerksdorp

I have been complaining, several times, since last year about items not being priced , this includes sweets and toiletries at the counter.

First excuse, by the Manager, was that the sweets was all sold out, therefore they have received new stock an did not have the time to prize them

Today the Managers excuse is that they have a shotage off staff, therefore the sweets and toiletries cannot be marked

Ackermans Lack of service

Good Day

I Visited the Ferndale Randburg Mall and entered the store approximately 17:45pm - the door was closed and not locked but the closing hours are only 18:00pm. The first lady who greeted me was extremely rude and said that they are closed and why did I open the door and just enter, I told her that the closing hours are only at 18:00pm. I then preceded to ask for the manager., I was pointed to another lady behind the till. I asked her why are they closed if the time is only 17:45pm. she said as per her computer time the time was 18:10pm. I then asked her to please check on her watch or cellphone for the correct time - she said she had neither watch or cellphone. I then asked the gentleman behind the till for his time and he said the time was 17:45pm. I had also showed the 'Manager' behind the till my time on my watch. She laughed and said something that I could not understand and ignored me... they all flatly ignored me. so I continued to shop until I was done.

the service was extremely terrible - I understand that they perhaps wanted to go home but it was not closing time.

I am a good Shopper of Ackermans and pay my account up to date each month.

really disappointed - I will not be shopping at Ferndale Mall branch again

Ackermans Online order not received

I Have placed a order online Order NO: 29968, Inv 11600.

When I received a sms that my order is ready to collect I only received a pajama pants out of a set and nothing more on the full order. The store at Valley view said they will find out from the depo which never happened. We phoned them again today just to be informed they never requested the rest of the order from the depo. Many Many MAny calls were made and requests were sent and we still do not have this order. This is the worst online service I have had.

When phoning the call center they will phone back and then ones again no one phones back.

No attempt is being made to help us get the order. Not even to get a refund this is just imposable.

Please advise how we should continue with this as this is getting ridiculous.

Ackermans Re: complaint re withdrawals

Good day

Please take note that the service i received at Ackermans Cornubia was very disappointing.

The manager by the name of Tandy was inconsiderate and had a bad attitude.

I went in earlier today to exchange a gift item and it had a tag on it but there was a stain. She refused to return it as she says it was in her policy which i dont understand when it looks like a manufacturing defect and not a customers negligences as it was never worn and still have a tag.

Whoever sold this didn't see a defect and how are rejected items sold and not QC!

Ackermans Bad service

Good Day I would like to start off by expressing my deepest disappointment in the quality of clothes that you are selling off late... I lay-buyed bras last year October and also bought in cash, by November they were already worn out. I went to the store to relate my experience and cancel the lay-buy I was told to wait for it to expire then 14 days after expiring date I can get my refund. To my ignorance I didn't read the Til slip. Last week Friday I went to get my refund, the attitude I got from the staff members of Ackermans Boulders and Thulani was just ridiculous. I'm every disappointed in the callober or staff you have in that store. They don't have customer service non whatsoever, it was like they were doing me a favor by assisting me. I even the told them that I will report them. Thulani said I should go ahead. He's very rude doesn't value his job at all. I even had to ask wheres the gift card he told me that you no longer do cards. Had I not asked he was not gonna tell me. You've lost me as a customer and we all know what word of mouth does to the reputation of the company and its turnover. 😠

I bought a Nokia c10 on Saturday 29 January 2022 at 2:33pm at Ackerman's Gateway mall. Ackermans 1344 umhlanga gateway - T Shop F62 & 43 Gateway Theatre. 1 Palm Boulevard 4320 031 5662519. It is very slow and take atleast 5minutes to receive sms or whatsapp. I am failing to work with it. 3days later which is today I went to City view, they were very helpful and saw the phone is slow and advise I look for another device instore or add money to get another better phone or a refund because the same phone might still give me same issue. We did that with their assistance then when we at the till the cashier said no this phone was bought in gateway the refund or return at any ackermans apply only for clothing etc not for cellphone. She call out the manager is she saw it was bought at gateway and she said if its from gateway I must please go to gateway she apologise and I left happy even though not assisted. When I got to gateway Nosipho Ngwenya a manager at Ackermans gateway had me open the phone reinstall everything using hotspot from my phone, then she used her phone then complained that my phone is taking too much of her data then she said she cant help me the phone is working fine. I told her I am still withing 7days and im not happy she said they only help with technical fault within a year sorry and left me there. I asked they return a phone back wherever they send them if faulty then she said no she wont do that the phone is fine. I have bought a phone from Ackermans hill street pinetown before and was happy. Ackermans Bad service

Hi Customer Service,

What a bad service I've received from a lady who gives out lay-bys at Ackermans 336 West street Durban.

I went there early mornings to pay off my lay-by. I paid the lay-by upstairs by the lady called Zama Ngcobo, she then instructed me that the lay-bys are kept downstairs I should go and collect from there and the cashier that will be assisting me will help me with exchanging the item I wanted to return.

Well I went downstairs and there was a lady who assisted with the lay-bys. As she was putting my clothes to another plastic she was not even checking properly, she just shoved everything inside even with shoes she was just throwing different sizes inside the plastic as-long as the shoe is paired, she didn't care if it's different sizes/type.

Regardless that, I asked her to return one of the school shoes for me and she just ignored and continued. As soon as she was done I then asked her, lady I asked you nicely to return a shoe for me.
Then she started telling me, that her cash till is off and she's busy I should go back upstairs to whoever was helping me pay the lay-by.

I asked her you expect me to go back upstairs to follow a queue again with my two kids just to change a pair of shoes. She throw my plastic on the side and rudely told me she's busy.

One customer told her she should have easily asked the cashier next to her to assist me without being harsh and rude.

I asked for her name and surname, so I could report the matter to management. She even refused to give me those details.

This Ncomeka was already complaining that she's tired and these lay-bys are exhausting her.

So with her mood I don't think she's fit to work with customers, she really has a bad customer service, zero tolerance for customers.
She would be really good working on the shelves away from clients.

Oh she gave me a piece of paper where she scribbled her name Ncomeka (not even sure she gave the correct name though)

Please also check your camera and see how she checks people's lay-bys.
I mean I had 31 items on lay-by what if I had one item missing by the time I got home because of her ignorance.

Ackermans Brixton

Good day

I made lay be at Ackermans Brixton and went there to cancel my lay be as I have bought enough clothes for my kid they refused to cancel my lay be and refund my money and called head office call center they could not assist as well as I called many time to be refunded my money, and still wen to pay my full amount so I can full claim my money but they refuse and it is within my rights to get my money back, management they where rude as am working retail they said I gave them attitude so they wont refund my money in which I fell like they being personal, can I please be assisted to get my refund back I and will never shop Ackreman as the service is bad and I am not happy at all of they handle things

Ackermans Refund for online purchase

I purchase an items online and 1 of the items was out of stock and i was told i going to receive a refund for the item when i got to the stock to collect. The store was the Westgate mall, the supervisor there Thabiso told me i can't be refunded headoffice was suppose to do the refund directly from they side. I called customer service this morning am told i was suppose to get the refund in store and this is known by the store supervisors and manager. My main concerned is the fact that i have to go back to the same store and be told the same issue by people who not competent enough to know their duties. All am asking for now is the refund to me put into the my store account as i have an account with them, and of course customer service can not do this as well.

Is it so hard to get a good service?

Ackermans Bad unethical service

I Purchased a Nokia C10 on the 22nd October 2021 at Ackermans Dobsonville store, on the 3rd November the camera stopped working and I took it back to the store on the 05th November 2021 for repairs. I was called in a week later to collect the device only to find that the device is still not repaired and it was taken back to vodacom for the second time. After a week again I was called to come collect the smartphone and it was still not fixed and no one was willing to help me I waited at the store for an hour without being assisted, I was told to go and they would contact me with a way forward. I asked if they can credit my money back into my account and to date in sitting without a device and no communication. I called the store last week and they said they would call me but no has called. I'm very frustrated with the service that I receive at Dobsonville ackermans store.

Desired outcome: I would like for my money fro the device to be credited back to my account

Ackermans Supplementary card

I applied the supplementary card for my youger sister at Ackermans Limpopo and everything was fine until my youger sister took my children to Ackermans in Randfontein Village square to buy some clothes for the kids .When my youger sister went to pay the cashier said they cant assist her because of the card was not signed at the back. And they contact me and telling me that they cant assist her and I spoke with the manager Sithati as well to assist her and she said she can't assist her by only the signature at the back of the card they couldn't assist her. No one told us tha the card must be signed. If the have doubts why they dint ask her ID to confirm. The service was so poor. What is purpose to have supplementary card, and she left unassisted.The disciplinary action must be taken against the cashier and the manager.
