I received a SMS from airtel on 28jun2024 stating " we are going to increase our prices - before that you can recharge with existing rates". My plan was valid till 15jul2024. I made an recharge for 365 days. I was surprised to note that my new validity is 28jun2025 - it should have been 15jul2025. The matter was promptly taken up with airtel by email. There was only automated response that you should use our app or website. As I do not encourage use of apps, I searched there website for lodging complaint. There is no provision for same. After few reminders, I escalated the matter to appellate authority. There also was same automated response. After few more reminders, I was told that there is no provision for extension as the plans are different. This was never stated in the initial SMS. Over the years, I have recharged several times with proper rollover of dates. I also have other operator number which I recharged after this incident with proper rollover in spite of difference in plans.
Claimed loss: Copies of emails with about 10 reminders can be submitted if desired.
Desired outcome: I just expect that my validity to be restored to 15jul2025
