Food, Drinks, Cleanliness and Unsupervised Staff
I along with others attended the sunday movies on August 7th and 14th at the AMC Festival Theater located in Montgomery, Alabama. The first Sunday (7th) the Popcorn was stale, the drink machines were not working properly, the entire food area was a complete mess and 6 to 8 employees were behind the counter on cell phone just having a good time amongst themselves.
The second Sunday (14th) the exact same issues except this time the interior had a bad smell.
Here is what was not working: 3 Coca-Cola drink machines that all produce ice and offer multiple drink flavors. Only one machine had ice working. All Coke flavors were out on ALL 3 machines except for Caffeine Free Diet Coke which was available on one. I did tell an employee of the drink issue. She asked which machine and I said ALL of them but she nor anyone did a thing. I never expected to experience the same problems on the next Sunday visit. That was $80 wasted on food and beverages. The worst part, your numbers are down and now you see why. I over heard several very unhappy former customers.
I hope someone with authority will read this and do what is required to upgrade this theatre experience.
Desired outcome: I would like to see a major change in staff. I am not talking about replacement. Train your staff plus get your vendors involved. Students learning earn class credits.

I reported to the official AMC messenger and Twitter about the incident and also requested a fair investigation by checking up the video recording of their security camera at the ticketing area AND direct contacts to ask all - the manager, the other worker, my child and me.
Investigate why he stopped only my child and me and asked us where we were going to. He didn’t stop any other customers. Find out what his purpose was to order my young daughter to go alone to the restrooms on the 2nd floor without mother during the night. Ask him why he ordered me to stay in the ticketing area while my child used one of restrooms.
Ask what reasons his coworker barricaded to separate me from my own child. I was and still am really shocked about the Asian Hate Discrimination.
I requested a fair investigation for two reasons - one for receiving apologies from the manager Jason and his coworker, and the other for stopping them from discriminating any other customers.
However, what I received officially from AMC was an auto apology offering two guest passes.
That’s why my family, my friends and volunteers started to post my case in various communities.

According to the AMC website concerning age to enter R rated movies, AMC enforces the 17 or accompanied by guardian guidelines. I just discovered that the theater in Tucker, Ga., AMC 15/16, has been allowing unaccompanied minors to purchase tickets for R rated movies. I know this because my grandson just told me they never card him and he has gone to several R rated movies.
I feel certain this is standard as tickets are not usually sold by mature adults. I would like assurances that this will cease. Otherwise, I will file a complaint with the appropriate state agency.
None of your corporation's numbers allow communication. It is next to impossible to contact your managers.
Please help protect the minds of our youth in as far as possible.

On Friday, July 29, 2022, an AMC manager discriminated an Asian mother and child at an AMC theater in Manhattan, New York.
He stopped them to go to the restrooms. When she was angry, he ordered the Asian child to go alone to the restroom on the 2nd floor without her mom.
I consider it not only as racism, but also as child abuse. He should not have ordered to separate the mother and child.
Why don't you start investigating about this case?

Gift card replacement
I received gift cards on christmas in 2019. And then covid hit in 2020 and I was not able to use them. Since the card says "does not expire" on the back I expected that to be the truth. I finally felt comfortable enough to go to the theater about 2 months ago and at that time I was told that the gift cards were closed. He said all I have to do is call the number on the back of the card for a replacement. I called the number on july 11th and was told that I would receive the emailed cards within 7 to 10 days. It has now been over three weeks of additional phone calls and emails with not updated information or even a response from my emails. I am wondering if I will get a response (noot automated) from this email. If so, I would be very surprised. I will be contacting the better business bureau and the attorney generals office soon.
Desired outcome: i want replacement tickets for the 3 $10.00 tickets that i was given. i have sent all the information on the tickets 3 times including font and back of pictures.the tickets are supposed to be emailed to [protected]@gmail.com.
Incompetent Staff

My family and I went to go see Super Pets on 07/31/22 @ 1500 hrs. (Ridgefield Park NJ). During the movie we felt water dripping on us. We informed the staff; however nothing was done! We expected a manger to relocate us or provide us a refund ticket for another day. NOTHING WAS DONE! My wife and I overheard your staff making fun of our situation! How unprofessional is this. Manager and customer service at Snellville AMC
Today as a patron of AAmC Snellville I was highly disappointed in the customer service. I waited on line to be serviced like everyone else. And while waiting not one did I observe anyones money be checked to see if it was fraudulent. However, when it was my turn at the counter my 10 dollar bill was inspected. Not only was I embarrassed I went as far as to ask why no one else’s money was checked before me and was told “we know who brings in fake money, especially 10 and 20 dollar bills”. I then asked for a manager. Manager Charles was equally disrespectful and went as far as saying that is apart of their policy.
I’m disgusted at AMC Snellville. Would never recommend.
Bad service
Saturday July 23rd me and my family went to see Nope at the AMC Harbsion Columbia SC theatre. Lines were long waiting for popcorn and a drink, there was no ice in either of the drink machines which is understandable for a busy night but no one seemed to care. The thing that made our experience horrible was the broken ac in theatre one. We should have been notified before hand. Is was way too hot my husband thought he might pass out. We went to refill our drink to cool off and was told that the machine was closed for the night. We usually have no issues and enjoy our experiences the last few times we’ve been but Saturday night was very disappointing.

Trailers prior to movie
I greatly object to R rated previews being shown before a PG-13 movie. The last two visits to an AMC theater in Hammond Louisiana, this has been the case, and my husband and I almost walked out. The trailer for the movie Bros, bullet train, and one other that I can’t remember the name of were shown prior to the movie Elvis which is a PG-13. If this continues I will no longer attend yourtheaters. If I wanted to see R rated content, such as homosexuality, violence, sexual innuendo, I would buy a ticket and go see that movie. But my family and friends have made a conscious choice to not attend R-rated movies because of those things. And yet you subject an unsuspecting audience to those things without our prior knowledge. I spoke to the manager of the Hammond theater and he was very quick to say he would remove those previews immediately, and suggested I contact the corporate offices.
Desired outcome: Show only trailers or previews that have the same rating as the movie which follows. I would appreciate a response about this so I can Make a decision as to whether I will attend your theaters in the future.
Condition/Appearance of Theater
On Saturday, July 16, 2022, my wife & I took our 2 grandchildren to the AMC Freehold 14 to see the 4PM showing of Minions. I have not been to your theater in over 2 years and I was shocked to see how much it deteriorated. The seats in row E on the left side of your theater were ripped and falling apart. How disgusting. For the money you charge ($60 for the 4 of us), I would expect better than this especially from a company as large as yours.

Customer service is nonexistent, screening rooms are so dirty and disgusting, it looks like they have never been cleaned. The bathrooms are nasty the trash cans are always overflowing, the floors are always dirty and the stalls are nasty. Counters by the beverage stations are always sticky and never wiped down.
Desired outcome: Build a bigger better Theater in Owasso, or upgrade the existing one. Teach the staff customer service, clean the whole entire theater, and maintain it regularly.
Seating
You can take your "reserved seating" and put it where the sun don't shine. This is the worst idea ever. I want to sit wherever I want to sit. If there are bunch of rowdys around me...I'm moving. If there is someone checking their cell phone every 5 minutes...I'm moving. If there are a bunch of noisy kids around me...I'm moving. So, as long as you have reserved seating...count me out! Also, several of my neighbors feel the same way. In fact, most people I have mentioned it to say they hate it. You know, sometimes the old ways are the best way.
Maybe you don't want me as a customer...and that's OK.
Desired outcome: Change your policy and don't demand we choose seats while standing at the box office. I ani't going to do it.
I came to see minions
Had lefts overs got told I couldn't have them tied up in bag but I said why do the white people have bags of snacks an u told them nothing I thought they were being racist cause we weren't white I got refund but I'm pissed I'm so tired of racism just because your white u have more privilege bull I'm just angry my kids felt so out of place it's not right
Desired outcome: I want the same respect it's not right because the white people got to bring food in there bags I pointed out but I was the only one who couldn't have left overs that I wasn't eating
Online Refund Service
I purchased tickets on 6/18/22 to see Thor: Love and Thunder on 7/7/22 for a 9 pm showtime. About a half hour before my showtime, I received a phone call and I had a family emergency. Around 8:45 pm, I went into the AMC website to request a refund for my tickets and it kept giving me an error so I had to keep logging out, refreshing, going back in and I still continued to get an error so I couldn't even request a refund for my $71.06 purchase. I sent an email to customer service that night at 9:05 pm and they sent back an email on how to request a refund and if that doesn't help to email them back. I emailed them back around midnight which was when I was able to get back to my phone and they have not responded yet. I sent another request for them to contact me which opened another incident number and still no email back. I tried calling the customer service number and the automated response said their phone lines are not open and we should send an email.
Desired outcome: I would like a response to my emails and a refund because right now they are just brushing me off when I had a severe family emergency to tend to and their website was not accommodating to what I needed to do.

I bought movie tickets for my husband and myself to see the movie Top gun and since I am hearing impaired I requested a captiview which I’ve use successfully before. Poor Management
This theater is ill prepared at the concession stand. They were out of large popcorn buckets, drink lids, hot dog buns... We ordered 2 hotdogs and a large popcorn. We waiting for hotdogs to be put on the roller and 28 minutes later (10 min after our movie started) we were informed they were out of buns. Zero planning and organization here. The employees were trying hard, but decisions and poor planning by leadership is causing issues. Since we were missing our movie waiting on food, we asked the manager for a refund. He did refund the concessions and the movie since we were not staying. I am greatly disappointed in the efforts by leadership to be sure employees have what they need to serve customers. Glass in my fires
This situation happened on Fathers Day. I was with my kids we ordered food and went to our movie Doctor Strange. I sat down and waited for my food. It had arrived a nd after 3 bites of my fries I bit down and a piece of glass had lodged in my gum. I pulled it out took it to the manager whom I found out from another manager his name was Devon who did not fill out a incident report at all. I asked for a corporate number which did me no good because I have yet to hear back from anyone regarding this matter. Days later I called and spoke to Alex who informed me that a report hadn't even been done. Alex gathered information from me and completed the incident report. Still no word from anyone. I don't want to seek legal council but I will if need be. I just want someone to call me so I know how to proceed.

Hi, I'm Lisa Hadden and I surprised my husband and brother in law with 2 tickets to see top gun on fathers day. He knew we only had 25.00 to spend on snacks and drinks. He bought 2 beers and pep flatbread. He got charged 26.73 twice and 9.73. It took us into 35.00 overdraft. He spoke with mgr and he offered 25.00 and concession food. We denied offer

The thing about jobs like this is usually the ones that work there are teenagers. Remember working at another theater when I was young the main manager was 17 years old and played favorites. No amount of training is going to help, because it comes down to parenting, and also as soon as the cat is gone the mice are going to play.
