We brought the rings in December 2022 at American swiss kalahari mall upington.
We notice that the rings faded and we bring it back to the shop om saturday 3 of june 2023.
They told us it will be send for tests on the monday and it lay for a week in the shop till the 17 june 2023 we recieved a sms that it was successfully captured by Asj kalahari mall ref RE011302000775.
On 7 july 2023 we recieved a sms to let us know what the repair cost going to be.
In the first place the Asj sales consaltant told us we can get a refund or we can choose an other ring of the same value. No one told us about repair cost on the ring.
We went to Asj in kalahari mall an incest on we need a refund but it was told they can not help us as the manager is on leave so I the client said she or he need to phone me first thing on monday before 12:00 on what can be done for my wife's rings or i want my money back.
Before I was back at work in January the ring already started to fade and I havent use any chemicals at home
We are so disappointed in the qwality of the rings and American Swiss and we are unhappy the way the consaltant was treating us with the matter.The fact still stands there must be a manager or an assistant manager on duty and we want to know what chemicals damage the rings,because we dont use chemicals with our rings on we take it off.I only use sanitizer disinfected and hand soap at work and really then the qwality of the product use to tind the rings is not good at all.I also read that people complain about watches that the colour change then it is not qwality products that is used and we as clients pay alot of money for the items and believe it is great qwality for the price but instead it is a disiapointment.I wont pay a sent for the repairs if it started before I use sanitizer disinfectend or hand soap on my hands.I also dont want that same rings back,because I did not see what they did and I wont be garanteed that it wont fade again.Then we sit with the same problem and drama again and we have to pay again for the repairs then I will use the silicone rings instead rather than to loose alot of money on low class qwality juwelry.I am not satisfy with the qwality of my product of American Swiss for the price we paid for it and I am not satisfied of the verdict to pay more for the product as it is worth.We would like if American Swiss head office can take this seriously the complains about the qwality of their products.Client is always king and is always right.
Desired outcome: We would like to have a refund or a genuine silver ring and not sterling silver that will fade again.
Ear piercing

On Sunday 25th June 2023 I took my 8 month daughter to pears her ears and the guy who did it didn’t do it properly and now we're sitting at the private Doctor to have the left earring removed.
The earring sunken into the ear and only the back part of the earring is visible now the ear is infected.

Customer service vangate branch cape town
On the 15th of june 2023 i phone american swiss vangate branch to keep me an item aside as i will collect it later that due to unforseen circumstances i could not make it in time as the store closes at 7 i had the decency to phone the relevant sales lady and she insured me she will keep the item aside untill the next day. I just need to come collect before the store closes.
On the 16th june 2023 i went to the store to collect the item as i was waiting almost for an hour while she was busy with a nother customer she ask me if she can assist me i told her i am coming to collect the item she said i will be with you as soon as i am done with the customer. I waited a nother 20 min then she said lett me go get the item for you she looked all over all the draws and cabinets then only she told me oh we got an email we cannot keep stuf aside.
Wasting my time my calls she did noy have the decency to give me a call to lett me know for me not to drive all the way and wasting my time.
Very disappointed in American swiss service do you train yor staff to treat customers like oh you just a nother customer.
On the 17th i spoke to the store manager no help at all aswell sorry mam theres nothing i can do phone customer service pathetic really no matter how small the purchase is you dont treat customers like this.
Desired outcome: I would like this item to be sourced from a nother store to my nearest store as the manager checked and some stores way out of my area has stock
A ring
My husband bought me a ring for our anniversary in April 2023. The ring started chipping off. We went to return it, and ended up taking a different ring. Which had to be resized because they didn't have my size. The sales lady told us to come back the Wednesday. I went back on Wednesday were they asked for a sms, which was never mentioned before. The computer said that the ring was there but she could not find it. So I left without. They phoned on Friday to tell us that they found it, took them 2 days to find it. When I picked it up again for the first time it was mentioned now that I have to pay an additional about for the resizing. The staff at Lakeside Mall is very incompetent and this was the worst experience. I would not buy from them again or recommend them.

I bought a ladies watch for my daughter at American Swiss Zevenwacht.A month later one of the stones came loose.I took the wacth back to American Swiss Zevenwacht.I received several sms,s that the watch is ready for collection.Each time i gat ther i was told that it was a mistake on their side.Each time i travelled al thay from the Strand to Zevenwacht just to be told the watch is not ready.I feel that this was very poor service.I called American Swiss to get a update.A lady assist me and was very friendly and assisted me very well.The same day i received another sms that the watch was ready for collection when i got there i was told that the watch is not at the store.On Monday the 12 June a lady called me again and was very rude after i told her that i am very disapointed with their service and want a refund on the wacth.

Very poor service
Today I went to American Swiss wonderpark, I got a lady who was busy packing the sale stock. I asked her if she still has a sale stock then she immediately said yes but I’m busy you can go Soshanguve crossing. I was pissed but I contained myself and try to keep the conversation going with her but she was not interested to help me. I told her that I love the ring and I want to fit it and buy it then again. She just ignored me, then I fitted the ring without her permission then she just said I’m disturbing her. I’m so so disappointed because I buy my wedding ring every 5 years at American Swiss but I won’t anymore in my life.
Earrings
13/06/2023- Good Day
I bought a pair of earrings for my daughter yesterday afternoon(11/06/2023). She only wore them to sleep and one of the earrings have bent completely out of their shape, it is now not circular but oval shaped(see picture attached).I'm not sure what the procedure is in getting this matter resolved.

Horrible service and bad quality of ring
My fiancé bought my engagement ring at American Swiss, N1 City at the end of November 2022/Beginning December 2022. We got engaged the 25th of December. I only wear the ring when we go out or when I go to work. I am an Intermediate Phase teacher and don't do hard core work with my hands. I do not wear the ring while bathing, shower, cleaning, doing laundry, doing dishes or even around the house. Monday, 15 May 2023, late the afternoon I realized my big blue sapphire is gone. When I checked my ring, I could see the one corner clip was bended. Luckily, after searching, I found the sapphire. I took it back to N1 City Branch on Saturday, 20 May to ask if they are able to fix it. The type of service I got from the lady there was absolutely horrible. No real interest in helping me. She said it can be sent away and they can see. I asked her if she can approximately tell me what it will cost. Her response was no because the must first get the quote from the people fixing, then they must still add their fee as well before sending me the quote. Then only I can see. When I told her it's a relatively new ring, she wanted a slip. We obviously trusted and believed we are getting the best jewellery from them, never kept the slip. Then all of a sudden she couldn't do anything because I don't have a slip. Then with a very bad attitude I got told that she can request a slip but it will take to long. Me, more upset at this moment, looked at my fiancé and told him that I am not booking it in here with service like this. She then happily showed us away to another jeweler, who gave me a quote immediately and still fixed my ring within a day. I am extremely upset that this type of customer service are allowed at a big name shop like American Swiss.
Desired outcome: Proper customer service and better quality and value of jewellery.
Cancellation of lay-by
August 2022, I lay buy a ring at American Swiss Maerua Mall, Windhoek in Namibia, by end of September 2022. I found another ring I loved elsewhere and bought it cash. I went to the Aforementioned American Swiss to cancel my lay buy and was informed they can not cancel my lay buy and I should wait for it to expire which will be in February 2023. I went back in February 2023 and I was informed they added an additional 3 months into the lay buy and the new expiry date is 18 May 2023. 19 May 2023 I was in the shop at 11 a. m and I was informed that they only had 400 Namibian dollars (NAD) in the till/cash register so they will contact me once they have enough. Mind you my total refund should be 2185.00 Namibian dollars. I had other errands to run in the mall so I made a stop at the shop around 5h30 p. m and was informed that they now only had 1100.00 Namibian dollars in their till. So I ask them to give me that 1100.00 (NAD) and I would be back the next day to get the rest of the money. They inform me that they do not do partial refunds and they will put that money aside and contact me once they have the full amount. The next day I go to the shop around 3h00 p. m and I am ready for my refund. I am informed they only have 500.00 NAD and I enquire how come that’s the case if yesterday they had 1100.00 NAD around closing time and that should make my money 1600.00. They go on to inform me that they bank their cash for each day and it doesn’t carry over onto the next day. Ok and I enquire what they meant when they said they would put my money aside and contact me when they had the full amount? Apperently if they had made 2185.00 NAD Cash for that specific day they would put it aside for me. I go ahead and ask them so my refund is at the mercy of a cash paying client of that amount even if it takes an entire month for that to happen and I’m informed yes. I’m obviously annoyed and highly disturbed by what I’m being told but I still try to reason with them. I propose to get my refund via EFT (bank transfer) since most of their clients do POS (swipe) payments at the shop. They inform me that they only consider that option when the refund value is above 5000.00 NAD. American Swiss Namibia, please fix this! This is ridiculous, for a shop that is in business for so many years how is this the service you give your clients for money that is rightfully theirs! I am about to camp infront of your shop to share my ordeal with all walk In clients to safe them from what seems to be an unending nightmare! Do better! This is pathetic!

I bought a white gold ring worth 100k last year in July and the sales guy advised me that I can bring the ring within 6 months for cleaning. 6 months later I went to the store but the lady on duty said 6 months is too soon I should rather bring it 12 months later.
It’s not even 12 months later I brought the ring in store again and now the manager is telling me that I should’ve brought in 6 months which I told him I did and his staff advised me to come 12 months.
Now I have forfeited my free ring cleaning I refuse to pay it as this was due to theAmerican Swiss staff not giving me proper information.
My ring is now faded and needs cleaning done.

My name is Charity Denga. I bought a ring 13 March 2023. They said if you pay cash there is no extra money for resizing since there was no the exact size. They said it will take a month. l paid cash and go home. One ofgthe day, l received a call from them and due to network or communication breakdown l visited the Postmasburg branch to confirm what the call was about They call Kathu Branch and they said the person who called you is not around. l went home and wait for a month. Then on the 8th of May l visited Kathu Branch and they didn't help me due to loadshedding and they asked me about the reference number that l didn't received from them. On the 15th of May l called them and they said they will call me back and suprisely they said l have to pay R750 extra for the resizing. To me it's a daylight robbery and poor customer care. Since March when l bought the ring to date it was me who was following up my ring not the other way around and the one month period has lasped for resizing that's when they come up with annoying story.

I, a TFG Totalsports sale associate, was interested in purchasing a pair of silver earrings and went into the Kenilworth Centre American Swiss store. The store had a single staff member working on the floor, the manager, I had asked for assistance and she just simply pointed out where the earrings were that I was looking for. I then simply wanted to ask if those were all the specific type of earrings they had and she rudely told me that I am a TFG member and should wait until she was done with the other customers in the store before being assisted. I do not work for the store nor American Swiss and was not treated like a customer and was quite rudely spoken to. Just for asking a simple question and she tried to reprimand me on how to deal with customers and I do not even work there. Absolutely horrible service!
Desired outcome: To be treated like a customer with respect and having the manager respect my time as well.
Wedding ring
Purchased a wedding ring for almost R9000 but the ring is turning black on my wife's finger.
Very unhappy with what we got and what we paid for it.
We purchased the ring at Southgate Mall and paid for amendments even where ring was ammended has a different colour. We regret purchasing it as it was supposed to be a memorable ring now it turned into a disastrous purchase and caused bad memories

I bought a chain from American Swizz in South Africa , Cape Town(N1 City). The thing broke in less than 3 months, the worst thing is that the necklace is not even pure silver it's rusting. That's daylight robery right there. They told me to bring the slip they issued me 3 months ago. I trusted them enough not to worry about keeping slips. With the world that we live in today, why don't they keep a coppy of the slips in their databases. They ask for these because high chances are that customers usually throw receips away.
Cell phone
I bought a cell phone at American Swiss but paid it with a fossinis card. Now the phone broke and not American Swiss or Fossini knows about the purchase of the phone.
There is a case no and busy with leagel steps but would like to resolve this matter as soon as possible.
From emails sent to me it was said the matter was resolved but nothing is getting done.
Please assist me with the way forward

I recently purchased a ring at your cape gate branch. And was told on buying that i can take my ring back to any of your stores as i could get it resized at a certain amount. I couldn't resize on the time as my wedding was around the corner literally planned a wedding in less than 2 months.
I went back Easter Friday and was told that i cannot resize my ring due to it has been worn already.
I am so disgusted by what this woman told me as amercian swiss was supposed to be a better company. You guys lost a client and i will definitely be telling everyone to not shoo there. Had better experience at sterns.

Bad customer services and no assistance
I am utterly disappointed by the service at American Swiss in mall of the north,I bought a watch on the 21st of February online as a gift unfortunately it doesn’t fit the person I bought it for. The issue I have right now is that he has been trying numerous times to have the watch returned at mall of the north however they have been giving him excuses after excuses, firstly it was “no cash” excuse and they promised to call of which they never did. A week later(17 March) after calling them numerous without any response,he went back and he was simply told that the system is offline and they cannot do anything to assist him, they promised to call him the next day of which till now are are still waiting for their call.
The staff and manager involved are not considerate, do not care about their customers and take advantage of their customers. Could someone kindly assist with this matter as I’ve realised that we are not getting any assistance from the store.
