I also work in retail and due to the festive season I couldn't go to any stores.In a hurry to get my partner something nice for Christmas, I went to American Swiss on the 24 December 2023 ( the Somerset Mall).
I asked the lady regarding the men chains. She did explain to me that there is a possibility that the chain can loose the original color after a few years and never had I though, a chain worth R4500 will loose the color on the first day of wearing it. I went back to the store on 14 Jan 2024 to get a credit refund. The lady had the nerve asking me if we didn't was the chain in sunlight liquid. Why will a normal person was a chain in sunlight liquid after wearing for the first time and top it all up she told me to come back when her manager is there. I had to pay for transport to travel to Somerset only to find out that they won't be able to assist me.
After sometime the lady said she will explain to her manager and ask the manager to call me back as the chain first needs to be inspected by the manager. It's been almost a week now and they didn't get back to me. I am really disappointed in they product and how they've handled the situation. To be honest I won't recommend American Swiss products to anyone. The embarrassment that I had to dealt with of seeing my partners sad face as he was really excited about the chain.
