In October of 2006, I fell behind on my mortgage payments and contacted ASC. They sent me a package to fill out for a repayment plan for the 2 months I missed. I have never heard from them! I called every month and got the same answer, your file is with the "Negotiator" (is that Arnold Schwartzneager?) and that there are a lot of people in front of me and to be patient. Also they told my not to pay anything until I hear from the "Negotiator". Yesterday, I received a call from guess who...the "Negotiator"! February 21, 2007. That was 5 months later! WOW! We decided to refinance to get rid of this company and when I called to get a payoff, a very rude customer service rep told me "YOU ARE IN FORECLOSURE"! WOW! This must be how they make money by telling people to not pay their mortgages and stall you till they file FORECLOSURE papers (which by the way, I never received any notice ). After speaking with the "FORECLOSURE ATTORNEY" I cannot get a payoff amount for 7-10 days, so we have to wait to pay off this loan and I'm sure we'll have to pay interest on those 7-10 days! Something is wrong here and consumers need to be aware! The problem is... no one financed through this company, this company bought out mortgages from other GOOD companies. WE ARE ALL VICTIMS AND SHOULD FILE A CLASS-ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST ASC AND WELLS FARGO! I have sent two complaints to the BBB, ASC in Iowa and ASC in North Carolina (loss and mitigation department), and also a complaint to my Attorney General. If anyone out there knows what else I need to do, please reply. Aren't there any laws against these practices? It sure feels like fraud to me!

Well how do i start... We bought a house that was a forclosure, Paid a fair price... Well we are self employed, and when the market was good, so were we... But...When the market went south, well you know. I was doing work for wells fargo indirectly, Working for realtors preping their REO Properties for resale, all good huh,
Well I used to do about 12 per year, then BAM i was getting about 12-20 per month, all in all making a long story short, Wells fargo ran up a bill with me in the amount of 11, 500. and it took for like 6 months to get paid, So naturally I too was forced to not pay my mortgage to them which was approx. 3, 500 in back payments.
Well they called and threatened to forclose, I inturn said go aheadand forclose, Stating that they owed me 11, 500 and i owed them 3500, who would look like the a**hole. Well they finally decided to pay me, great huh, hell no. then I made a lump sum payment. and for the next 2 months made my payments on time, everything was going great again, until I get a call from Wells fargo stating they have reembursed me for all payments, made another words my 3500 plus two months of payments, and that they are forclosing on me, So here we go again, I made a forberance plan with them, and of course I too had to wait for the Negotiator to call, and they said that we could not make any payments until the paper work was straightened out, which they agreed in the loss mitigation dept was "their fault" because this shouldn't have happened and if we tried to make a payment it too would be sent back to us, SO we waited 3 Months, to only find out that we now owed approx 10, 000 plus lawyer fees and they sent people to our home and called and left very disturbing messages. So we again got a forberance plan and agreed to make our first of 12 payments of 1541 per month with no grace period starting in july of this year, which we made on time, well we then find out our loan was sold to Selene Finance and payments were to start to them on August. of 749.50. great we no longer have to deal with Wells Fargo right? WRONG... Well we have made our payments to our new mortgage comp. on time everytime all good.. NO
Wells fargo then and still, have drafted our acct for 1541.00 every month, also then sends corespondance to Selene Finance that our mortgage payment is NSF So Selene Finance then in turn calls and says " you are in a state of forclosure due to Wells fargo and this has gone on since every month, we have to prove that our payments have been made, and send about a 10-12 page fax to prove we are right. then every thing is ok til the next month...Yeah this is so old, I would love to sue the pants off of WELLS FARGO, and soon to be SELENE FINANCE if they dont get their heads out of their rearends, Mean while during all of this, I have had to let 2 vehicles go back and am in the process of getting sued myself for the loss of money that Wells Fargo has greedily taken, also costing me, Time, Frustration, Headaches and loss of quality family time not to say a ton of money, credit and so on it goes. If you need to contact me, email me at shocker7074@cableone.net
We made our payments and have made our payments since to Selene Finance

It seems to be par for the course when dealing with Wells-Fargo. It's just not enough to have a mortgage with them, one that you may or may not have agreed to have with them. They want full access to your money.

I HAVE PAYED FOR HOME REPAIRS FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS NOW. AND STILL
HAVE MINOR REPAIRS . THIS IS MY FIRST TIME IN FIFTEEN YRS. I EVER FELL BEHIND IN MY PAYMENTS. I SUBMITTED MY OWN MODIFACATION TO A.S.C.
THEY APPROVED IT.THEN THE PAYMENTS BEGAIN TO INCREASE. I THOUGHT LEGAL HELP WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM TO LOWER THE PMTS. AND THE % LOWERED TOO. THE FIFTH PAYMENT WAS REDEPOSITED BACK INTO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT AND MY HOME WENT INTO FORCLOSURE NOW. I TRIED TO GET ONE LAW FIRM AFTER ANOTHER TO HANDLE A LOAN MODIFACATION. I HAD TO REPORT THEM ALL TO THE B.B.B. THEY WERE SO SORRY FOR BEING 'SORRY'...I DID GET MY MONEY BACK. THERE IS ONE LAW FIRM THAT IS
DRAGGING THEIR HEELS IN RETURNING MY 'ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS'. I'M
REPORTING 'THE LAW FIRM OF MACEY, ALEMAN AND SEARNS'.THEY ALL DO THE SAME THING; TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR RECORDS COLLECT DUST.
THE BIGGEST SCAM EVER .YOU SUPPLY ALL INFO. THEY DO NOTHING UNTIL
YOUR BILL IS 'PAID N FULL'. THEY LIED ABOUT THE COST TO ME AND ITS ANOTHER COMPANY AUTO COLLECTS THE MONEY FROM YOUR BANK EVERY MONTH.'' LIERS' ! ' THE BAR ' OVER ATTORNIES WILL HELP YOU IF U ASK
FOR IT. ''DO IT''. ''OLD MONEY'' BELEAVES IT CAN DO AS THEY PLEASE. BUT U CAN MAKE IT STOP. REPORT THEM ! ITS POWER IN NUMBERS...!

Seems that Ann Backner described my case. I had the same problem and happened as described.
