A few months ago, I dropped my phone into some water, immediately opened the back of the case and dried it out. It sill wouldn't work, so I took it down to my repair place, where I was informed that the charger port was bad. I was then told that the replacement port would be $300! All for a phone that I could buy brand new for $60 or less. Assurance Wireless did actually send a new phone (which was a Schok), but only a couple of months later the replacement phone has a number of problems: the screen randomly dims and brightens, the volume raises and lowers, the ringer/notification stops working (only way to reset is to turn phone on/off), I experience insane delays in receiving texts, and the very same charger port problem has occurred. When I contacted their deplorable customer service, I was told that regardless of WHY my phone was problematic, I would have to pay for a new one, as mine was "out of warranty". How long's the warranty? 14DAYS! Not months or weeks, DAYS! Even if I was to buy a new one, it would take weeks to get here. I am losing my family home and don't even have the time to wait that long, or a known future address to send it to. The phone does not have a sim card, so I can't just pop one into a better phone. I cannot express how fast you should run away from both the carrier and the phone's manufacturer. Do. Not. Use. Either!
Desired outcome: I want a new, more reliable phone.
