I rented a car from the cincinnati /kentucky airport August 18, 22 res # [protected]. pick up August 18, return 8/22/23.
When picking up my car at the airport, the first car I was assigned was bashed in the back and the dash message said, "needs service, take to dealer". I went back and was assigned a 2nd car.
Approximately 20 miles or so the 2nd car had a blowout... I pulled off the interstate to the most public place I could find, it was a bad neighborhood. I called Avis and was told it would be 1-2 hours before someone could come assist me or I could drive some where else. I had NO tire, just rim. They sent someone to put on the donut spare... upon arrival, the worker confirmed that this indeed was a bad area, he had seen lots of drug deals, etc. I called AVIS again and AVIS made a call to another location less than 10 minutes away and they were told they would have a car for me. This location was at 465 E Galbraith, Cincinnati... I was greeted by a manager that was leaving the premis in her white mercedes, which smelled of marijuana (my opinion) she said she had no cars. I was not happy and she replied that I could go to the tire store down the road to get a new tire, well I did, and then was told it would be 1-2 hours to wait,... what? why would I do that and was told on my nickel! I called AVIS again and off to location #3 on s 4 west th... downtown. I was helped and provided a car. That location also agreed that I had come from not the safest area. The #2 location told the #3 that I would prob ably be screaming... I was not. I did not want to drive the vehicle the additional 40 minutes to my final destination... those spares aren't made for that many iles. A trip from the airport that should have only taken me 35-45 minutes cost me nearly 5 hours or my time. Not to mention the poor customer ser ice received from the Galbraith location (I believe t he manager was Tonya)
Desired outcome: This cost me $204 which I agreed to pay, what I did not agree was the run around I received from AVIS. I do not think this the normal customer service from your company. We are AVIS preferred members and have never had an issue.
