Charging interest when told it was interest free
We purchased some living room furniture over the memorial day weekend. Our sales person, Servando, said we would have 12 mths zero interest like other purchases we have made. We just got the first statement and it shows almost $800 in interest. None of the paperwork we were given showed this. We called assuming its an accounting error but Servando now says because we have a $190 left on our last purchase the new purchase cant have zero interest & when we offer to go ahead and payoff the old purchase he tells us we had to do so the day we purchased the new items. This wasn't said to us the day of purchase. We've been waiting on management to contact us & when he finally did the idiot just parroted what the sales person said so on to corporate and the BBB. Regardless, make sure you use a different sales person because not only did ours lie to us but he was rude when asked to correct the situation and basically said of well you signed the papers! You dont sign papers at this store ..you sign the electronic signature box.
Poor quality furniture/scam extended warranty/poor customer service
I purchased a red sectional in April of 2017 from Badcock Home Furniture & More located at 770 West Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311, where Delroy Furguson assisted me, and John Torres is the Customer Service Manager. I inquired about a Warranty as I realize what an investment furniture is. I am investing in my home and upgrading the décor, and believed Badcock & More to be the right place to make these investments. After discussing my concerns regarding the quality of bonded leather, and reassurance from Delroy Ferguson that bonded leather would give me at least two to three years before beginning to peel, I paid $1, 098 for purchase of the sofa as well as the ‘extended warranty'. I was advised to purchase the extended Warranty as it would cover "any issues that come up with the couch". In less than a years' time, 2 coils have broken on the couch resulting in it now having a sunken appearance in multiple spots, as well as the couch starting to peel. I have to reiterate that this is less than ONE YEAR after making this purchase.
It is also important to point out that I do not have a lot of traffic in my home. There are only 2 adults living in the home, no small children that might aid in the accelerated wear and tear of the sofa, and nothing beyond normal seating has been done on the furniture. There is not an excessive amount of sun in my home, nor have any cleaning products been used on the leather.
I contacted the store to advise of the issues I'm experiencing with the couch and was advised that I was 2(two) days too late to benefit from the one year warranty, which would grant me the option to exchange the merchandise. Instead I would need to make a claim on the sofa. In addition, I was advised that even with the extended warranty I purchased, the lifting/peeling and broken coils would not have been covered.
This leads me to wonder what is covered. There has been no benefit for me to have made that purchase of the extended warranty. And I am inclined to believe the salesman was aware of this when he suggested I purchase it (an additional $140).
I've been in contact with the store manager as well as other associates, and the best that has been offered to me is a $398 store credit. Of the $398, they will charge me another delivery fee, which decreases the amount of the credit.
There are a few issues with this:
1. I have no confidence in the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship of the furniture at Badcock Home Furniture & More, so making another purchase there will only lead me right back this same issue
2. I have looked multiple times to try and find an item that I'd like to purchase and each item I've found is NOT available
3. They have offered to order the items that I am interested in, but if they are not available and delivered within the window of my credit period of May 12th, 2018 to June 11th, 2018, the credit will be cancelled
As a consumer, I feel cheated out of a positive Customer Service experience. The salesperson who completed my purchase knew that the ‘extended warranty' didn't cover anything that would be helpful to keeping my investment, and it was recommended for me anyway.
I am beyond disappointed in the service I have received, in the lack of care and concern being shown throughout this process, as well as the poor quality of the sofa I invested in from Badcock Furniture & More.
I, too, am in the process of trying to get restitution for poor quality sofa and chair, both power, purchased from Badcock in Live Oak Florida in May, 2018. Am now dealing with a dispute on credit card so that they can handle this. Poor customer service and poor quality.

Dining room table set for 4
I brought a dinning room table for Badcock it was delivered on February 28 after 6:00 pm, the screw has been falling out I have call the store 3xs always we can't find the invo6 are shuan not in call back in 30 minutes another time call back in 15 minutes They have gave me the ru around I paid cash for the set and took out the warranty for a 100 dollars extra its to the point I am calling the better business Bureau and the attorney general you take it that they was suppose to be professional people but we have not seen it handle in that matter I even told my coworkers about the store how good I thought they was but now that have made a lie out of me I am very unhappy with them.

received furniture .after a week the mattress was lumping up.we called they sent a guy to check it.another week goes by we get the mattress.well it lumps up again, my fiance and I are situating in the bed and we fall towards the middle.THE BED BROKE! the support slats are now broke . I called the store told them what happened then I asked for a manager.she said ok hes not in right now but should be back in an hour or so.i said ok that's fine.2 days go by an I take it upon myself to call an leave a voicemail Monday comes around we go into the store to talk to the lady and she tells us we need a metal support beam.i said makes since let's do it an she said its gonna cost ya 170.i said what? your product broke, I never got a manger to call me back I had to come to the store a week later to sort it out an nothing she said no.i said ok well were gonna just stick with the warranty an ordered the new wooden slats.she said they would be at my house on Tuesday April 3 and we gave our work schedule to let her know when we can be there for it. we have just made the 2nd payment on all of our new furniture(over 4, 000) and the product has already broke .my back hurts my fiance an I work hard long hours an wanted the nice bed we just bought to sleep in, we haven't slept in that bed in a month because badcock cant get it together!

Customer service and quality of furniture
I purchased a bunk bed for my two children in March 2018 and chose to pick up my furniture instead of having it delivered. A week later we go to get the bed and a guy in the back has open the box and the piece that goes under the stairs was busted and missing pieces. The manager told me to take the piece and just put the bed together that they would order me a new piece and have it delivered and replaced at no cost. so we did just that. I informed the manager at that time that we were going to be moving and the address i originally listed on our paperwork would not be where the bed was. She them took down the correct address on a sticky note. A week later I called to follow up on the piece and was told it would be delivered the next day, but could not be given a time or estimated time. I took a whole day and at 5:45pm I receive a call that they are on the way to my home. Unfortunately they went to the wrong house. The delivery driver said he would bring it to my home no problem. HOWEVER, the manager then calls to inform me that they will not be bringing it and that she could press charges on me for lying on my application even though I gave her the correct information prior to all of this. She then proceeds to tell me this is my issue now I need to come get the new piece from the store. My mother goes and signs for the piece with no issues. When she is pulling into my house the manager calls her and tells her she is calling the cops out because she stole that furniture (even though she signed for it). I then call the manager to find out what the issue is and she informs me she is calling the cops if i do no bring back the broken piece and the new piece to the store with in 30 minutes. ( it takes us that long to get there no to mention I had to take the bed completely apart!) we then take two trucks to the store to take back both pieces, when we get there she walks out, doesn't speak just takes the old pieces and as she is walking in yells have fun getting sued... and keep in mind this was all on the day of my grandfathers death. I then call the customer service line because I feel i should be compensated for all of this ridiculous trouble. well after a 45 min hold i get a man on the phone who put me on hold for 30 min then disconnects the call ... I try to call back and wait on hold for 45 minutes several times to be disconnected each time! to top it all off the piece that i had to replace the broken one still has scratches and one of the drawers is cracked... some company this is! This is the worst experience I have ever had and will make sure everyone in my community knows! The people are rude and obviously don't care about their customers and it seems to me the corporate office is the same way!
Leather sleeper queen size sofa
We purchased this furniture at Badcock Furniture in Decherd Tennessee in Jan. 2014 were told it was leather the leather is literally peeling off. I have a leather chair that we purchased in, 2001 and it has not done this at all. I think that this sofa is of poor quality. We paid over a $1000.00 for this sofa. The store manager gave us no satisfaction at all reference to this complaint. I hope a company as big as yours you will be honored bound to do something.

I've been trying to speak to a manager or supervisor the past 4 months . I've called the [protected] number at least 50 times in the past 4 months an to no avail I get passed around to reps or placed and hold until I hang up . I've been authorized to speak on behalf of my mother about this account and every time I do get a rep they tell me i'm not . Now speaking with Melissa c186 she's telling me it's for ever and Billing is telling me its for 24hrs .

Paid the balance in full by May .June comes around a new bill comes in for 173.00 yet no one can explain what makes up this amount and no one in the corporate office can tell you anything, no one is on the same page .

Notice stating that my first payment is due on 10-5-17!

Bunkbed
I ordered a bunkbed and was told it would be delivered between 10am-12pm. It didn't arrive until 6pm and was damaged. The manager stated I'd be refunded deliver fee and credited 15% for damaged bed. A week later I have not got any credits to my account and am being told i have the protection plan so I'm not able to get a discount on the damaged bed
About 20% off for first customer
Back in May2016 I went to the store in saint cloud, and was just looking to buy later in the year. However, they ran my credit and gave me an account, which I never bought anything at that time; nevertheless, in December 29 I decided to buy my bedroom set. Mind you I was a new customer because did not buy anything in May. Now they refuse to honor my 20% off my bill. They misled me to believe that I would get the 20% because been a new customer. I got bed bugs from badcock!!
I purchased a Serta Indigo from Badcock for my daughter as a birthday present. Same mattress I have. She received what I believed to be a brand new mattress from Badcock on Saturday! She woke up Sunday morning with bites all over her legs. We thought nothing of it and figured a mosquito got in the house. She woke Monday with more bites in other places. Tuesday we began to get suspicious and did some research and grew weary of the mattress. Today we called Badcock and told them what was going on and to come get the mattress. We got nothing but the run around and after a goat rope of phone calls we called corporate. I find out not only will they not do anything about the situation but they won't even exchange the infested mattress they delivered! They basically blamed us and said maybe a guest brought the bugs into the house and that they spray there warehouse. The mattress was delivered late afternoon and my daughter didn't leave her house or have anyone come over. I asked the customer service rep to let me talk to their manager and he told me he would not do anything about it.
*note: She has no pets. Nor has anyone been in her house in the last 4 days. I payed a thousand dollars for my daughter and 9 mo old granddaughter to be feasted upon!
Patricia purchase a console set from badcock furniture company complaint is the sofa and the other console is infested with bugs bugs bugs bad big bad bugs they bite us real bad we've never had this problem before we call badcock they told us that there is nothing they can do they can come remove it and replace it by us buying another and still pay both bills well we had an estimate coming from coming from pest control as soon as we get the forms from the better Business bureau because they're not accredited .
I am complaint. we purchased sofa with recliner and found lot of bedbugs. make us very upset and call corp to trade new one. they said policy. I read any thing and isn’t there about bedbugs. yuma sofa recliner. still bite my arm and legs and we found lot of bedbugs to took pictures. they said it isn’t their responsible. [censored]. we never had bedbugs in sofa before. make me very furious with them. I want to replace new one sofa recliner. they refuse it and read the policy. I dont see any bugs in the policy. I find that hard to believe that brand new furniture would have bedbugs that more than likely came from somewhere else and transferred onto the chair. You have to use some common sense, and your story makes no sense at all!
Well believe it! I was in a Badcock store in Clearwater FL and physically seen bed bugs on a mattress they had repoed back to the store and put it in the clearance section. When I asked the manager if the same truck was used to deliver the new furniture as was to pick up the repoed stuff he said yes! And that’s how new furniture is infested!
We also purchased a mattress and adjustable bed and dealing with bed bugs. I wish I had researched more before we bought ANYTHING from them.
I just purchased a brand new mattress from them February 2023 and it is infested with bed bugs. Called the corporate office and the rep basically told me that it was probably from my house. I told her Lady, my house is so clean you can eat off the floor. She told me that she wouldn't be able to replace it. I said I have a receipt that gives me up to 365 days if I have a defective product. She told me, it's not defective and advised me to go to Wal-Mart or hardware store and get some spray to kill them. I will never go to Badcock for anything again.
Me too and I am highly frustrated. I'll haul them mattresses down to their door if I have to. I will NOT pay for infested mattresses and pest control.
I bought a mattress from Badcock and after a several months had to be replace because it sink i, not the mattress that the brought me to replace that one it has bed bugs. Not sure who I can call
How does a brand new mattress get bedbugs unless some nasty customers laid down on the bed and transferred them.
We also now have the problem and when we tried to resolve it all they do is hide and lie but there is a law against people selling products with bedbugs and they must hold up there contracts we are in the process of legal proceedings soon to be started.
Badcock Furniture gave us bedbugs 2 I thought I was only one until I started researching today I found that you have them to this problem 2 the lady from corporate was really rude and basically told me they couldn't do anything about it now I have to payout $3, 000 - do my entire home with no guarantee that we get rid of them

Whatever u do please do not buy anything from this place. I have been through so much over them I have been sick my nerves are completely shot. I cannot handle stress like this it's very sad that I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years always paid early never late. I have purchased several bedroom sets a 2000 mattress several living room sets tables chairs and within the last year 2 complete living room sets a dining set and a leather loveseat. We were getting ready to purchase a bedroom set and a washer and dryer. Over the last month u have no idea what we have been through we ordered a living room set package and a kitchen table. This was in May. All this was purchased in Dunnellon fl and was to be a transfer to the moresville no store. I was to.d this happens all the time and was no problem at all. ( not true) after ordering I was told my father in law would receive a call for delivery date soon around the 1st of June well after almost 2 weeks my wife called the moresville store she was told by Kevin they did not get the order yes almost 2 weeks! So he stayed he was the only one that handled this so I called Dunnellon store they state order had been sent ok who's lying not sure? Well finally several days later they call my father in law to meet them at our home they give a window of 3 hours he sat there and waited of course NO one showed up! My wife calls again finally a few days later they called him again and actually showed this time but the table was busted and there was a rip on the loveseat. The delivery drivers told him they would bring another in a few days. We get ther like a week an a half later still no delivery. My wife calls again Kevin states well we ha e to order I mean he never ordered it he went on to make sure she new he was only doing a favor for Dunnellon and to call them. So she did they were in shock also. We were there a week still no complete order. We had to leave once again had to bother my father in law. Finally a week or so later a call stating they were coning at a certain day an time frame well once again no show and he has to set there waiting again no call or anything. Then a couple days later a call telling him it came in broke also. Ok but why not notify someone u are not coming. Then this happens a few more times a call he goes there waits but no show . We had enough as we were being very nice and not even going to complain about the cheap quality of the furniture and that the 2 expensive rugs we ordered smelled so bad we had to air them out which did not help a lot or the loveseat had a bad place on it we were overlooking these things. Not now we told them to forget it come get this junk out of our home now . This manager Kevin has hung up on us and hung up when my father in law called him yes folks this is the treatment of loyal customers. As to date it has still not been picked up we cannot get any answers no response we have went to Dunnellon was told to call service center he will not even communicate with them. We have had it calling daily no end in site on top of it we got a bill! We actually got a call yesterday from Dunnellon store sayid can make this end if u will come in a pick new items really? We are done come get this junk out we never ever want anything to do with u and would u believe customer service called and said we have to pay a 25 percent fee of total price to restock no way this is not my fault! Oh by the way, the manager once told me when I wanted to order from online to "get my butt" in their store (Theodore, Alabama), even though he knew me very well and I did not have transportation! I purchase many items from online, and he was not joking!
I agree as well. There is no better or deserving company to "fold" or go out of business. I was a very good customer for the past 3 years. They ignore me when I want to purchase items now and play unprofessional high school games! By the way have not been late except for 2 times (this happens) and I have plenty of "available credit". I have also paid cash for several items (Tv. etc.) I cannot imagine how they treat bad customers if this is how a good customer is treated. Well, you won't catch me in the dump again!

I purchased $1, 963.00 worth of defective, poor quality furniture on 9/2/12. They delivered it to my home free of charge on 9/6/12. I e-mailed on 2/11/13 because of a split seam in the couch. We spent thousands of dollars on furniture and appliances all cash and every thing is broken the appliances Tha handle on the refrigerator and stove fell off the dishwasher doesnt work the recliner completely fell apart the couch recliners broke I will never buy from them again
Very unhappy with customer service
From the beginning I've had nothing but trouble! No business should make a customer feel like there stuck with the business's mistake. I was told by an obviously untrained employee that we would have No interest charge within the six months. Little did I know 4 months later we were being charged interest. Because I hadn't caught on to it ( because i took there word for it) it became my problem. They wont fix there mistake because I didn't catch it within 30 days. Regardless of how long it took its still your mistake. No one and I mean no one tried to help us resolve the problem not even corporate! Aaron's is the only place for me now.

I moved to Florida in January 2010 and I purchased furniture at that time through Badcock. The furniture was purchased on store credit in the amount of 4, 000.00. I made all my payments on time and had no issues with the company at that time. However, in April I had to go to NY for a family emergency and my boyfriend and I were having problems at the time (we lived together in Fl). While in NY, I received a phone call from Badcock stating that they were at my Florida residence to pick up my furniture! I had no idea what was going on, and my payment was not even due yet. I immediately called the store to find out what was happening and they told me I needed to speak with Pam and she would be in at 12pm. I called back later and spoke to Pam and she said that my boyfriend had called the store and spoke to her and said that I had left the furniture and that he was not going to pay for it so they should come and get it. By the time I spoke to Pam, the furniture had already been removed from my apartment, with the exception of a flat screen TV that my boyfriend claimed I took (which I did not). I had told Pam that the company was wrong in taking my furniture without contacting me and that they had no right to take any information from my boyfriend whose name was not even on my account. The company is now telling me that I am responsible for the payment of the missing television and that my account would be reported to the credit agency as repossession of merchandise! I called again and spoke to Nancy in the legal department who was extremely nasty. I tried to explain that this was a terrible mistake on the stores part and was very unprofesional to not even contact me and to listen to someone whjo has no right to my account which was not even due for payment yet! She told me that there was nothing she could do for me and hung up. I want this to be settled once and for all. I should not be held responsible for payment of the TV because they had no right to takle anything and my credit should not be reported as repossessed because this is the stores fault. I am appauled at the fact that this company had the nerve to make all these arrangements without contacting me and for NO reason because my payment was not even due and now they are trying to put the blame on me for their stupidity. I am warning everyone NOT to do business with this company. They are unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate!
