Bank of America Refund of overpayment on credit card.

I have been calling regularly to get a refund for an overpayment. Every time I call, the answer is always "you should get your refund in 2-5 business days". No one can tell me when to expect my money and it is causing me financial difficulties.

According to ftc.gov, a refund request should be fulfilled in 7 business days. https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/using-credit-card

Desired outcome: Refund I have requested

Bank of America Mistake in deposit

Several years ago I used a wrong account number to deposit $6000 in the BOA branch. The next day when I realized my mistake I went back to the branch with all the information I had, admitted my mistake but the bank manager nor tellers would do anything. They did say they called the account holder i made the deposit to and that is all. They wouldn't tell me who it was or how to reach them. They did say the owner might consider returning part of it, but not who to contact. Thus I feel BOA still owes me $6000 and will never geet my business until I receive it back

Desired outcome: Return the $6000

My uncle recently sold his home of 60 years and trusted this bank to handle his account and protect his money. A few days ago he learned that a wire transfer was taken from his account in the amount of 85,000 which left him with not any at all. He informed two employees that no transactions were to be done unless he was doing them in person. Someone clearly...

Bank of America Estate Department

I have had the absolute worst experience with the Estate Department and will never do business with Bank of America again.

My father passed away and as his personal representative, it was my responsibility to close out his account. It has been a nightmare right from the start. It started on February 17th and is still ongoing March 24th.

When I called the assigned case manager (who I have never spoken with), I was told I would have to go to a local branch to complete a Distribution Intention Form (may not be the exact name).

I went to the branch on S. Tamiami Trail in Ft Myers to do so and while the woman I spoke with was "lovely" she failed to upload the form as she said she would. When I called back to check the status, I was told there was missing information and that I would have to go back to the branch and do it again.

When I did, they said the form had not scanned properly. In my opinion, that is something I should have been notified of by the case manager (again to whom I have never spoken).

Again, I waited over a week and called back to check the status. I was told that the account had been closed out and that the check had been mailed over a week before. I tried to explain that there were statements I needed for my Probate attorney but the connection was so poor, I had to hang up.

Called back yet again and was on hold for over an hour. I had to hang up as I was working. Tried again when I was able to (call number 3 today) and have now been on hold for half and hour. Listening to the same recorded message about high call volume. Trust me, if I didn't need to get account statements for my Probate attorney, I wouldn't have waited.

This is horrible customer service and I will absolutely never use BOA again.

The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Desired outcome: Just want to close the account and get the statements I need.

Bank of America Denied option to dispute charge on credit card

Dates of charges:1/29/2021 $500.00 & 10/26/2021 $1681.72 for total of $2181.72.

This was payment for a cruise which we had to cancel. I have been trying since Jan 2022 to get a future cruise credit. I have contacted both the travel agency and Royal Caribbean. I have made numerous phone calls and provided them with the requested paperwork but have not gotten any response from them.

Please put a dispute against Royal Caribbean for these charges.

Desired outcome: A future cruise credit or credit back to my credit card.

Hi my name is Mae and i am so sorry this happened to you. I do hope Bank of America will get you to the right person to help you. I am also being accused and blamed for that all the international (mexico, singapore, etc) charges are my fault and that i made the purchased OR allowed “someone” on my account to make the “purchases”. Those are all clearly accusations because i DID NOT make all those purchases that have zero my whole account NOR do i have any person on my account!

They are truly stealing money from those who really need the money like myself also who’s tax refund was all wiped out and this bank has allowed it to happen. This is also my second time except the first time i didnt fight it because i was and still is going through mental health issues and this is causing me to get worse with depression. But i will not let this go because its all my tax refund! They are so rude (fraud department) and you can hear in their voices that they have no sympathy for their customers who trusted their bank to secure their money.

I have kids too and bills are backed up. Soon the electricity and water will disconnect and i hope they dont because i will be along side with a law suit myself.

I hope Bank of America will see all out complaints and comments and do the right thing. Our money may not seem alot to you but it is to people like me who struggles in life.

Bank of America Frozen account

My BofA prepaid EDD card was frozen in March 2021, I was instructed to visit a BofA branch to verify my identity.

May of 2021 I visited Bank of America Financial Center, 2011 E Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404 and spoke with Branch Manager Samuel Valdez and proceeded to validate my identity and was successful in doing this validation, I was told that my card should be ready to use within hour and I thanked Mr Valdez for his time in my matter and went home. later in day approx. 4 hours I went to grocery store to purchase few items and card was declined, 2nd attempt declined also, calling the number on back of card I found that the verification was not posted to my account.

I have been through the verification another 3 times, 2 more with Mr Valdez and 1 with another branch of Bank of America in downtown San Bernardino 303 N D St, San Bernardino, CA 92401 with BofA branch manager Jessica Serrano.

I have yet to get my money released to me and have no way of knowing now I go about doing so, since all the customer service says is to go to the branch again and again and again. Please help

Bank of America Return of money auto debited from closed credit card account

I paid off a credit card from B of A and closed account after they continued to make auto debits. Over 2 months ago and still promised 'The check is in the mail."

The local B of A branch keeps arbitrary hours and they are useless in resolving any matters unless it's money coming in. I live 3 minutes from the branch and once, after losing wallet-temporarily- they would not cash my own check for $800. despite 'investigating' me online to see if signatures/accounts matched. All I had as ID was my expired passport, and because I tend to sign online with partner's ID,etc. (all accounts are joint), I could not remember mine and my 3 attempts to sign with guessing, blocked me from all accounts. They would not let me use partner's.

If I phone the pathetic B o f A helpline I am treated to 8 minutes of recording without any opportunity to scream "REPRESENTATIVE!" Then I'm transferred.Oh yeah, HELP is closed weekends. The bank is optimistic ,no doubt, people will forget or give up on collecting B of A's debts. Pathetic.

As soon as taxes done and I can return to banking business, I will be closing all 4 accounts and go elsewhere.

Off topic, yes but this bank should be aware some of the online only banks are becoming much more legit then Bank of America.

Now give me my MONEY.

Desired outcome: Pay me my lousy $98. owed me PLUS interest.

Bank of America ATM card

Date of first call: February 21, 2022

Today's date: March 10, 2022

i have been a customer of B of A or 50 years. I live in Costa Rica and lost my ATM card. i immediately called B of A to cancel the old card and send me a new one. However, they failed to tell me that they would not be sending it by Fed Ex or DHL as they did in the the past and proceeded to send it by REGULAR MAIL! It may never arrive!

It has been 3 weeks since I called the first time. i called last week to inquire and learned for the FIRST TIME that they refuse to send me my card the way they did in the past. They did not even send it registered so I could track it.

i have over $8,000.00 in my checking account but can not access it. This is disgusting! I MUST HAVE MY CARD NOW FOR FOOD AND OTHER NECESSITIES!

Carol Knapp

Desired outcome: I want my ATM card sent by Fed Ex or DHL. I authorize the charge be taken from my checking account.[protected]@hotmail.com [protected]

Bank of America I was a victim of b of a debit card fraud

On June 23, 2021, I called to report unauthorized withdrawals from my prepaid debit account. When I asked them if there was anything else I needed to do after notifying you by phone, they failed to mention that I needed to send a written complaint and file a police report. They told me that i would be receiving something in the mail to fill out and send back to the bank. I never received anything but a denial letter. When I went into the bank to verify my identity, and had the bank talk to your someone from the b of a edd claims department, I was under the impression that I was filing a claim over the phone. I would have submitted a written claim and a police report that very day had they told me when I asked if there was anything further I needed to do. Both times the bank failed to tell me that.

On Sunday, June 20, 2021 at approx. 9 pm I tried to use my prepaid debit card at 7 11 and it was declined. So I called on Monday June 21, 2021 to find out what the problem was with my card. I was told that I needed to go down to the bank to verify my identity, so I did. I went to the Bank of America in La Mirada. I asked the person on the phone if there was a problem with my account and they just said i needed to verify my identity but didnt say the reason for it. So when I left the bank that day I used it at a liquor store and at cvs but the cvs declined my card due to lack of funds. The last time I checked my balance there was about $12,000. I went home and called b of a again to report fraudulent activity/theft, and the girl that helped me told me to check my monthly statement, so I did and when I did I discovered several ATM withdrawals that were not made by me at several different B of A locations. On the 24th of June, I went back down to the La Mirada branch with my printed statements showing the fraudulent activity/unauthorized ATM withdrawals, and I had to verify my identity a second time, and after that was done, the person on the phone told me that they would be sending me something in the mail to fill out and send back, which i never did receive. They also issued a new card which I received in the mail shortly thereafter.

I reported the unauthorized transactions to the bank. After I did that I received an email stating there was suspicious activity on my account. Notifying me of suspicious activity only after I reported it to you does me no good. If the bank had been monitoring my account activity they should have seen something wasnt right. Your bank allowed someone to steal over $12,000.00 from me. This is negligence on your part. Your employees on 2 different occasions gave me erroneous information when they told me over the phone that I just needed to fill out something the bank never sent me. They should have told me that I needed to make a written complaint along with a police report. This has been a nightmare for me. Something has gone wrong with the training of your employees because 2 times they failed to tell me what should be done and then your bank wants to deny it because I waited so long to make a written complaint

I am enclosing a copy of the unauthorized withdrawals and the police report filed on 8/6/21. Officer Macias stated that the report number [protected] was all you needed, which was incorrect information so I am now submitting a copy of the police report.

Desired outcome: My desired outcome is to be reimburse for the money B of A allowed to be stolen out of my account. This has caused a great hardship and as a result of them blowing me off I went into a severe depression.

Bank of America Close without notice

03/02/2022, after few years of using bill payment. got notice about change of condition on the account and needed to reset the bill pay option. but was unable to setup, chat with Bank of America, gave me 877 xxx-xxxx number and after 20 min waiting, i was told Bank of America risk team will be close the account on 3/3/2022.

Had direct deposit by Medicare and mobile deposit of insurance checks. never deposit cash, never had bounce check, Bank of America even assigned personal banker to my business. mostly I have used payrolls and business expense. Never had any issue. good deposit, and good balance, and we have excellent credit.

Now, my employees and supplier are not getting paid (need to call everyone not to deposit check), they won't let me withdraw funds. and they are holding over 40k+, was told will issue cashiers check by MAIL!

Bank of America had no problem getting deposit, last deposit made 2/26/2022.

we are Medical workers (frontline workers), give all employees and supplier's financial hardship.

if Bank of America doesn't want my business, that's ok, but put frontline workers and suppliers will have financial hardship because of Bank of America action

Desired outcome: I don't want apology, it their lost, but I would like to see my funds return ASAP. so that I could pay my employees and suppliers. or have to abilities to go to branch and get my cashier's check.

File a complaint with helpwithmybank.gov which is a website run by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Bank of America closed my account for no reason last Friday (3/4/22). Told me that I would get my money ($10K) when ever they could get around to it. The Assistant to the VP at my branch couldn't even help me. I sent emails and overnight letters all week to the CEO and every executive address I could find and on Wednesday (3/09), at midnight, I filed a complaint with that website. By 10:am yesterday (10th), Bank of America was blowing up my phone telling me to get to my branch and they would give me my money in cash. And they did. Do it and do not waste time.

Bank of America Will not release a car lien that is paid

I hope you can help me or point me in the right direction. I am at wits end and I do not know what resources are available to help me in having this issue solved. This issue is causing Mr. Kurar and my self stress, anxiety and to me an obstruction to earning income. I have file a complaint with CFPB against Bank of America complaint # [protected], I sent an e-mail to Brian T. Moynihan CEO of BOA who has block my email, and to hollyoneill.[protected]@bofa.com. I purchased a car from Mr. Kurar, I went with him January 18, 2022 to the Bank of American in Lexington, KY, handed a cashier check made payable to Mr. Kurar which he endorsed as he was instructed to the Bank of America and gave it to the bank's agent. The check cleared and I have not placed a stop on this check. According to the attached letter from BOA the car loan is paid but they are holding the release of the car lien hostage. The check was for more that the outstanding amount due and Mr. Kurar was supposed to receive a refund of the overpayment. This is what is holding up the release. What kind of nonsense is this? If the obligation is satisfied what more is there? Mr. Kurar has kept me informed of all the communication that have taken place with the various bank agent. Who lie to him, as I hear the conversation with three ways calling. Mr. Kurar is on the road a lot and I work and can only deal with this when I am home. Mr. Kurar loan number is 630-[protected], I copy him to his e-mail and I am aware that his loan cannot be discuss with me. I do not need to have a discussion about his account. Isn’t receiving payment and not delivering on the obligation illegal and fraud? What we both want is for the lien to be release so I can pay New York State the taxes due, register the car, put it into service and start earning income. I am attaching the letter from BOA.

Desired outcome: BOA NEEDS TO RELEASE THE LIEN

Bank of America Bank of America's Customer Care

I am very dissatisfied with how Bank of America's "trained professional" have handled my account. I have been on several call with no real solutions provided. I was penalized on account of the lack of thoroughness of bank of America's agents. It is a shame how trained professionals expect clients to know everything regarding banking, when they are there to place client's best interest at heart, which mine was not, and unfortunately, I have to close the account.

I received 3 overdraft fees even though I communicated to the bank agent that I wanted to have safeguard over my account, in which I had two accounts. That was done properly, and I was penalized. The poor customer care played a big part in this, as the mobile app can't do everything.

Desired outcome: I would love for my $70 in overdraft fees be returned to my account, so that I can remain a loyal member of Bank of America.

Bank of America Auto loan

On February 21, 2022 I called BOA to authorize a complete payoff of my auto loan. I was assured that the auto payment would be cancelled when the funds were pulled from my bank account. One February 23, 2022 I noticed that both the funds to pay off the loan and my monthly automatic payment were pulled. I contacted customer service to notify them of the error and was told it was their mistake and the funds would be put back into my bank account. A week later the fund are still not back in my account so I once again called customer service and was told that they will issue a refund by check but it will take them another week to do so. This was their error! They are holding my money for two weeks before issuing a refund by snail mail. Someone please explain to me why a bank can erroneously pull fund from a customer's bank account and hold those funds for weeks... Completely unethical.

Desired outcome: Immediately electronically deposit back into my bank account the fund that were pulled in error.

SECOND Demand for Return of Funds: Intelaris Solutions, LLC Acct #[protected]

Good day again:

We have been retained to assist our client Intelaris Solutions, LLC, and its owners in this effort to release and return substantial funds being held for reasons unknown Since June 7, 2021.

As your records will show, on Monday, June 7 BOA deducted $32,118.96 in available funds from the above business checking account and sent an unsigned letter informing my clients that their business account was closed—without telling my clients why this was done.

Despite several telephone calls from my clients to the Allentown branch and despite my previous demand letter to you two officials last December, BOA has been unresponsive even to simple requests for an explanation.

If any part of BOA’s reason for failing to inform our clients and failure to return their money includes instructions or advice from any state or federal regulatory agency my clients hereby demand to know the identity of the regulatory agency, and the name, telephone number(s) and all other contact information of all persons BOA or any of its agents has communicated with regarding this very serious situation.

Please call me if you need any other information.

Bank of America ATM

Re: Bank of America Dispute Claim ID: [protected]

I'm 65 years old. I am also a full-time hospital worker. I can't retire, as I live paycheck-to-paycheck. My social security isn't nearly enough to live on. Bank of America has been receiving my direct deposit from the hospital where I work (Eisenhower Medical) twice a month for almost two years now. The local Bank of America branch is the only branch in town, with the inside recently closed (sign on door says "temporarily closed"). The one drive-thru ATM and two exterior ATM's are still open.

My direct deposit hit the bank overnight on 2/16/22. I was elated, as I was facing shut-offs. I went to the ATM and withdrew cash from the Bank of America ATM, to be able to pay my rent (which was already late, and needed to be paid in cash).

On the morning of 2/17/22 I drove back to the ATM, to put some of the cash back, $1100, so that I could pay a few more urgent bills online, including my utilities. I needed to pay my SoCal Edison bill asap, as it is part of a "pandemic payment arrangement," which offers forgiveness of the past due amount. Otherwise, I will owe almost $2000 in the accrued past due amount, and I'll be scheduled for shut-off.

I needed to pay my AARP UnitedHealthCare Medicare Part G bill online, already two months behind, scheduled for cancellation.

THEN...the Bank of America ATM ate my $1100, all in $100 bills! The screen displayed a message saying "there was an error..." and then the most bizarre question, "approximately how much did you deposit?" I manually entered the amount I deposited, "$1100."

Next, the ATM dispensed a receipt to me showing I was credited $300? The receipt states "We apologize for the inconvenience. We created an issue record that will be attached to your transaction." WTF?

What is going on? Where is my money? I work too hard for this. I have been working long hard hours at the hospital, without complaint. But, I am convinced that the people at Bank of America really couldn't care less, as if I'm annoying them.

During my first call to B of A checking on the status of this claim, the customer service rep "giggled" when I said "I can't afford to wait days or weeks to get this resolved." I was told "you should see a credit in two days..." Two days. Great. :(

Then, three days later, nothing. I then called again, and was told "whoever told you two days gave you incorrect information, you need to wait at least 10 business days...could take 45 days." WTF!

I CAN'T AFFORD THIS! I need my money, the $800 ($1100 cash deposit, credited for $300, $800 difference) that I worked hard for. What a true disaster for me.

If B of A cared at all, they would have credited my account by now, and then continued on with their investigation. But, even with their billions of dollars...no...me, the "little guy" has to wait,...wait...wait, and go without my money, the few dollars I NEED TO LIVE ON.

Today, I can't shop for food. Today I can't buy gas for my truck. I am so distraught I don't know what else to do.

I have really changed my mind, and my feelings about Bank of America. Clearly, I don't matter to B of A.

I will make sure to warn everyone I meet: Bank of America doesn't care about you as a person...at all. Sure, they're real sweet as long as you give them access to your money, and have no issues.

But, if you have a problem, YOU WILL REGRET doing business with Bank of America.

Desired outcome: Immediately return my $800, the money taken from me.
