Tub conversion
Lifetime Guarantee. Not exactly. Seamless installation? Not exactly. I have had the conversion several years. Mold developed in the "seamless" seam between the wall and shower floor. Three times this has happened. The first time I was charged $100 to have it resealed. I believe it was before 5 years had passed since being installed. The SECOND time, no charge. Now I have it again and was told it would be $250. To reseal. I was told there was only a 5 year guarantee now. I live alone and use this maybe once a week. Forget it. I am sue I can find someone who can do it for considerably less than that. Wish I had never dealt with this company.
Comopany name was misspelled. It is bathfitters.
Tub enclosure
3 months and project not done. The walls were not cut to fit, so they filled in the spaces with caulk. They redid it 2 times to try and make it right. 3 different workers and it looks horrible. The caulk is peeling off already. The local company has decided we are too fussy- just settle for shoddy work. Sent back $500 and said we are done. Head company was called by us and they were aware of buy off - guess they approve of this. Do not consider this company. Not worth the headaches.
Plumbing
On 7/28/16 Bath Fitters in Dumont NJ remodeleled my bathtub, but stupidly turned the hot water temperature down to tepid so I can never have hot water again. No hot shower or bath ever again. "For my own good" they claim.
The hot water in my kitchen sink and bathroom sink is very hot as it should be, but the paranoid Bath Fitter plumber turned the bathtub hot water to slightly above body temperature out of fear of being sued by me for being scalded in the future. This is the reason they gave. Manager and staff repeated this mantra. "Fear of being sued." "Illegal" Is this stupid or what? They should really be scared of having a disgruntled client like me on their hands.
Now that Dumont Bath Fitters has been paid in full they blew me off. Tough luck they say. Go do it yourself. We do not want the responsibility. Impasse reached. No resolution offered.
Original order; stalled work; wall reordered; wall too short; overcharged for bath fitters mistakes
11/10/16 interview with Bath Fitter representative; picked wall color and accessories; detailed what Bath Fitter would and would not do in contract; representative took many measurments. We have an oversized tub that we were not covering; only covering walls and ceiling.
11/23/16 Bath Fitter installer came to put in walls/ceiling and mentioned that the original representative never should have put a planned seam right in the middle of the shower wall. Installer discussed with us the "bad" things that could occur because of a wall seam and then said the original representative was new and probably "didn't understand." Installer called Bath Fitter to order the correct sized wall and informed us it would cost an additional $500.
At this point our bathroom was already torn apart (faucets removed and accessories taken off walls by us as part of the contract. We could not use the shower. We were told it would take up to two weeks for the new wall to come in.
12/6/16 The correct sized wall is in and the installer returned. Problem is that when the installer and his worker were "cutting" the wall to the "exact size" they cut one corner section one-half inch too short. We never would have known except my husband went to check on the work progress and saw the installer putting caulk in the one-half inch gap. As part of the contract the installer was also to put the holes into the new wall so we could reattach our safety bars and shower curtain bar - this was not done; the installer told my husband he could just drill the holes himself.
Our problem with this entire process is that Bath Fitter did not only honor the contract that we both had to sign; but they had the audacity to charge us an additional $500 for a mistake they originally made. Is this how they do such good work? Deprive a person of their bathroom and create a problem, which they blamed on the "new guy" just so they can charge additional money?
Bath Fitter advertises that folks will leave in the morning and be able to use their bathroom that night -- unfortunately we still cannot use out newly walled shower because none of the safety bars have been reinstalled and we have to purchase additional materials for us to perform the work Bath Fitters was supposed to do. They never rewrote the original contract and they never updated the original price on the original contract, but they charged the additional $500. This entire experience was disgusting!
Bathroom remodel for handicapped veteran.
My husband needs a handicap bathroom and the VA grant was approved for it. We chose Bathfitters to do the work, but just before the work was to begin Bathfitters manager came to our home to discuss the work to be done. He undid everything that was going to be done according to what the salesman before had said would be done to the bathroom remake. He said they do not do any replacement of defective floors that would support the shower or toilet. They do not replace any floors that would be bare wood where the vanity sits once it was removed for a free standing sink. They website showed the bathfitters handicap bathroom but this man said no that was not what we would get. Instead it would be just a shower with a chair and shower sprayer. The salesman told us it was to be a roll in shower with a seat that flipped down for seating with a sliding shower head with a sliding hand held sprayer. The floors were to be finished with slip resistance floors. This manager was very rude and treated my husband with total disrespect
We are very fortunate to find out ahead of work that we were not forced to go with them by the VA
Bathfitters will DEFINITELY NOT BE DOING OUR REMODELING
Service/installation
Ordered a bath fitter door and shower surround in August from their Burnaby BC location.
Sales guy comes, measures, and we decided on a 3, 100 door and surround to be installed Oct. 28. I pay 30% down, and wait.
Oct 14 or so comes, and they say we can do it early - i say "great". Installer comes in to find the surround is cut wrong, original date of Oct. 28 is back on the table.
Oct. 28 comes, and surround is in, but the door is too tall. Must remake door - new date, Nov. 22.
Nov. 15th the company arbitrarily puts through the remaining 70% charge on my credit card without discussing with me.
Nov. 19 i notice the charge, and on Nov. 21 request this be reversed (and it was).
Nov. 22 comes along, and they bring a door. Frame fits, but the glass is too short, and when panes are set to opposing walls, 4" gap. Door taken away. New door shows up after a couple hours, is installed but only has 1 1/2" gap between top of door and ceiling. (did i get my old rejected door back hoping i'd not notice)?
Now, there's likely a screw hole in the surround, and still need a new door.
Don't go with these people - their sales tactics are good, but that's where the quality ends.
Tub
We had our tub covered in January 2016. In Sept I noticed there was water between the old tub and their product. I called and they sent someone to fix it. The first person could not fix so they sent another person. He put seal around the drain. A week later water is back. They sent someone who stated to twist and turn the spout that water comes out of. I thought he knew what he was doing. He could not get it off but kept trying. He then decided to put more sealant on the drain and gave up on the spout. He left saying he fixed it by putting more sealant on the drain. He said do not run water for 4-5 hours so it could dry. about 6 hours later turned on the water and water is spouting out behind the spout. Water got behind the wall and was on the floor of the bedroom behind it and the other end of the bathroom. I called wanting to talk to a manager and they said I could not. They said they would have someone here first thing today. Person today (9:30) agreed we have major damage in the wall and broken pipe. Still waiting on response on how this will be fixed
Tub
A dark stain appeared on the back of my tub, I called the Burnaby office and was advised to spray it with half bleach and water, let sit, then rinse. I did several times but it didn't work. I called back and was told they won't honor my warranty because they have no proof I used the approved cleaning products. I have only used the approved cleaning products on their list and still have the original list from over ten years ago. I have been very diligent being aware of the warranty. She then said she didn't know what shampoos or soaps I used, but they don't give you a list of shampoos or soaps to use. They charge an exorbitant price for their product and I only bought it because of the "lifetime warranty", that they now won't honor, and are very rude telling you so.
Bathtub installation / Warranty / Customer service
We had an installation done in the summer of 2015. When the sales guy came to my house he had no issues taking my money and letting me know who great of a company it was and if there was ever any issue that they would take care of it. Fast forward to February 2016...I called the company and told them that there was an issue with my tub installation (it was popping up and I could tell that it was filling with water. I was told that I could still use the tub and that they couldn't get ANY one in until April 8. I noticed that the problem was getting worse and called the company again (2 complaints and still nothing). A week before April 8, I get a call in and now I'm being told that I guess "the ONLY technician they have was going on maternity leave" and now I had to wait an additional 2 weeks for someone to come and look at the tub. Finally someone came yesterday (April 19) and I'm being told that the original installation was done improper and that he would have to order a new tub because it was cut wrong and that's why it was taking on water underneath. 10 minutes later the technician (very nice guy) comes in and tells me that they are "out of stock" and that he doesn't know how long it's going to take for them to get a new tub in. He took pictures and was going to talk to his manager because he could expedite the order. I left an email message April 19 for "the manager - ORLANDO NEVES" to call me back (which I have yet to receive). Today (April 20) I get a phone call telling me that THEY WILL NOT EXPEDITE THE ORDER OF MY TUB. I WILL HAVE TO WAIT 2 WEEKS FOR THE NEW TUB TO COME IN AND THAT IT WILL TAKE 1 FULL DAY TO INSTALL THE TUB...My favorite part was when I was told that someone will be at my house between 12pm - 1pm for my FULL day of installation.
I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. THEY HAVE NO ISSUES TAKING YOUR MONEY AND TELLING YOU HOW GREAT THEY ARE BUT WHEN IT COME TO STEPPING UP AND DEALING WITH A PROBLEM THEY COULD CARE LESS.

Not the tub I wanted
I ordered a 60" soaking tub. In order to install, the installers took out an unnecessary wall in my bathroom (which I begged them to take out) and built a new half-wall that would contain the new tub. However, when the salesman first measured, he had no way of forseeing that there was a vent pipe in the wall we were taking down. What he could have forseen was that if a 60" tub was installed, including halfwalls and lost space, that would put the end of my halfwall at 14" from the outer wall of the bath - no room to maneuver. I had to settle with the 54" tub - which isn't what I wanted.
After thinking about it overnight, I called the company to find out about a price reduction - after all, I'm being asked to take a tub I don't really want, a full 6" shorter than what I do want. First the local office told me they don't give discounts and the salesman couldn't have forseen the vent pipe. Well, no, he couldn't have. But I wouldn't have ordered it so quickly (and maybe not at all) if I knew I had to have a 54" tub.
Then I called the main number, which appears to be in TN. They told me the individual stores set their own prices, and there's nothing they can do about it. So I informed them I'd be leaving bad reviews all over the internet. Then I got a call back telling me the owner of the local office would be calling me to "tell me why it is the way it is." With phrasing like that, I can't hardly wait.
Tub, base and wall-acrylic
Salesman came to house [protected]. Will save that story for another time. Order would take 6-8 weeks. At six weeks received a call to say end of August. Got that straightened out & amazingly was ready 8-5-15. OMG, it looked as if I tried to install never having done this before. The tub was too big & the walls stuck out past the existing wall. They were very...
Read full review of Bath Fitter FranchisingShower Panel Door Exploded - Charging me to replace!
We purchased 2 Bath Fitter tub surrounds with 2 sliding shower doors (4 glass panels) that were installed in the hallway bath and master bathrooms on May 27, 2008 for $4, 100.00 by the Milford Ct. Store. On October 1, 2015, out of the blue, I heard a deafening crash coming from the hallway bathroom. I found that one of the 2 the shower panel doors shattered all over the room (both inside and outside the tub). (see pictures attached to email previously sent sent to Connie Traughber on 10/2) Shards of glass were everywhere. If anyone had been in the bathroom at the time, the physical injury would have been extreme, if not, lethal. In fact, none had even used the shower for 1 month since my daughters were at College- thank Goodness. I immediately called Bath Fitter and I sent an email to Connie Traughber of Bath Fitter. Scott called me back on October 2nd from the the Milford CT Bath Fitter location saying they are simply a franchisee and they do not do anything but a service call where they CHARGE $250 to install another panel. He even suggested I BUY another door! Most interestingly, the glass door panel I purchased "the Obscure Door" has been discontinued. Despite my requests, no one has explained the reason for this -- clearly this is a defective product that should have been recalled. Based on Bath Fitter shower panel explosion complaints I have seen on line, obviously Bath Fitter was previously made aware of a defect that caused the shower panel to shatter. Clearly, Bath Fitter knew or should have known that the door would shatter and possibly cause devastating personal injury or even death. Clearly this imposes liability well beyond warranty issues. At this point, even if we replace the exploded door, we still have 3 other panels that could explode similarly without warning. Given that my husband and I use our shower everyday, this is cause for grave concern. Without question, we need to have this situation addressed immediately. I emailed Ms. Connie Traughber requesting the solution to this situation attaching the Pictures of the exploded panel door - yet received NO RESPONSE. So, Today I called again, talked to Sophie in customer service who said all the managers were in a meeting. She had Scott (Milford) call me to say I need to pay over 300 Dollars to replace all 4 defective doors! This is outrageous and needs to be addressed immediately. I should not be charged anything to replace defective material.
I woke at 7 AM to a horrible breaking noise- I later found my Bathfitter Glass door completely Shattered. I bought the house & was given the Paperwork & told it was a Lifetime warrenty, I was told today they would replace the doors then later that they would not.
Contact your state's attorney general and file a formal complaint.
I have their glass doors as well, I think I will just remove them myself for safety. What is defective in the glass for this to happen and has anyone suffered injurie's?
Deposit
I put down a deposit for a shower installation. No installation date was set. When BathFitter called to set a date for installation I told them I wasn't interested in a bathroom shower update any longer due to job loss. I sent several letters to them requesting my deposit back.
Instead of regarding my request The salesman scheduled an installation date without regard for my situation and then said they were keeping my deposit.
Bathfitter has unscrupulous sales people working for them. I don't recommend them to anyone.
Wrong information
I was told by Bath Fitters when I called to set up the appointment that they would do everything except the floor in my bathroom. When the Rep came out, he informed me that all they do is the tub/shower conversion to their method, and that is it. I wanted that, plus ceilings and walls done over. So for just the shower/tub, the price was $4200 for an UNFINISHED product. By this I mean that I had to go out after install and purchase either a curtain rod or shower doors myself. Sooooooooooooo, can't very well use their product when they are done installing it because you will get water all over the place. For $4200 I will go in another direction.
Terrible Service
The caulking has turned yellow with in the first 12 months. Bathroom now looks terrible. Warranty says only covered for 3 months. They offered to sell me more of this crappy caulking and fix it myself. But refuse to warranty the materials used. Expensive waste of money. I would recommend anyone thinking of using this product/service to take the time and find an alternative that will last. One day installation isn't worth the low quality that will disappoint a few months down the road.
damaged personal property
During the installation of a bathtub removal and shower install by Bath Fitters on January 10 and 20th, 2015, not only was the install done terribly and had to be redone by another installe 3 weeks later, they damaged our brand new bathroom vanity and the footboard of our bed. We've emailed, phoned, left more than a dozen messages, called head office in Tennessee 3 times to file complaints, filed a complaint with the BBB and still no resolution. The regional sales manager, Keith Nickerson in Calgary just seems completely uninterested in fixing this issue. He ignores calls and emails. The head office keeps responding to our complaints with "Have you contacted your sales people in Calgary? We take these matters seriously and hope you will get this resolved soon, " WHAT A JOKE! Head office won't do anything and say we have to deal with the Calgary office and the Calgary office just keeps ignoring our calls. All we want is for them to replace our brand new unit, we'll install the new one as I don't want anyone from Bath Fitters in my home if I don't need them in there. This company's customer service is the absolute worst I've ever dealt with, they don't honor their guarantee at all. See the back of their brochure and their website for their guarantee. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. I'm not counting on any resolution on this. This reno is getting more and more expensive as we'll have to refinish our footboard and replace our vanity unit at our cost. $7500.00 for a bath removal and shower install, plus the cost to refinish our footboard and replace the scratched counter top. You know, these installers are supposed to be professionals with experience, our's obviously was not at all experienced. We are now 2 months into what was supposed to be a "2 day in and out" job. It took almost 2 months to completely finish the install due to poorly installed shower originally that took 3 weeks to get right, a missing tower unit that took almost 5 months from order date in October 2014 to have in stcok, another trip out by an installer to fix a peice that broke from the original install in under 5 weeks of use and still this ongoing dispute about how we are going to get this damage fixed. Considering I emailed our Sales lady Mandy Nickerson the day it happened on January 20th and she couldn't be bothered to come take a look then, I shouldn't be surprised that this is still a battle to get BATH FITTER to own up to the carelessness by their installer. Take my advice, go with someone else. As soon as they have your money, they could care less about the customer. We are extremely disappointed and ticked that we've been made to feel like the villians for only wanting to have fixed what they damaged. thanks for a whole lot of nothing BATH FITTER.
Poor quality product
I regret ever purchasing this product. We initially bought into it because of the ease and convenience of the installation in one day. The installer did a good job and the bathroom looked nice and shiny for about the first 3 or 4 months. Now no matter what I use to clean it it never shines and looks very dull. Wish we had invested in tile instead. Living with a bad investment choice and will never use them again.
installation
I got a liner replaced in July of this year.
Great installation except for a gash by the drain. Sent the Long Island outfit of BF photos and they assessed that the liner had to be replaced. Three weeks later, last Monday, a tech with the new liner arrived. He was about half hour late –passed the two hour window. Started working. Was quite sloppy. He not only didn’t install the liner properly, it is not levelled, there is silicone all over, bended the wall liner molding and fill it with so much silicone that looks like a cream puff, and the drain is at an angle and not centered. To make things even better, the sides of the tub have a give. Yes. You can feel the tub giving in to your weight
when you stand by the borders and close to the drain. Talking about the drain, it flows slower than before, making your shower experience not so good when you have water to your ankles. The silicone seems are about an inch wide, the tech used his finger to even out the material and left huge seems instead of the usual quarter inch. This, is cosmetic, but still needs to be
resolved. The tech was in such a hurry that he had me sign the paperwork before he was done. He used WD40 on the tiles, also, he broke one of the tiles as well, am talking the real tiles not the liner. And wd40 on the floor. I almost broke a leg by skidding on it. He was disrespectful to me, to the firm and to his work. He ruined my bathroom. He did a substandard installation when I had paid for a good one.
BF Long Island office, specifically a woman named Liz, rejects my calls, does not return my emails and has no respect for urgency or people’s schedule. Told her I needed someone before the 15th, but, I guess because this installation is “on the house” because the first and second techs did not do their jobs the way they should, she feels I can wait. I told her that the
15th is not good. She ignores my request.
I really need a tech to come over Friday or Saturday, if nothing can be done, Monday, but with a specific time, not a window. This
has to be resolved. I did mention this rep Liz that Bath Fitter will be made responsible for any leaks resulting of the current installation. She really does not seem to care about the customer or the firm.
In short, I need a tech to assess what is wrong with the angled drain, not levelled liner, liner that gives in when bearing weight on it, ruined molding and sloppy silicone application.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Will not honor lifetime warranty
Contacted the Bath Fitter in Livonia, MI. concerning the silicon caulk separating from the wall and tub and the black mold in the caulk. I was told by the person on the phone that there would be a $75.00 charge to replace the caulk. The information I received on the flier supplied by the salesman stated very clearly that "Material, Labor, and installation are GUARANTEED. The Bath Fitter Lifetime Warranty affords you the peace of mind you deserve." The Bath Fitter product was installed in April of 2011. The first tub liner installed did not fit correctly and had to be replaced. At that time the caulk had to be removed and replaced. Sometime later the caulk began separating from the wall and tub and had to be replaced again. We are now only 3 years and 2 weeks into a "LIFETIME GUARANTEE" and the caulk is separating again and needs to be replace and has black mold growing in the caulk. I believe the cause of the separation is due to the old caulk not being thoroughly cleaned before the new was applied. Most silicon caulk/sealant for bathroom applications are mold proof and guaranteed for approximately 20 to 30 years. The silicon caulk/sealant that I applied to the shower doors, that were installed at the same time, show absolutely NO SIGHS OF SEPARATING OR MOLD GROWTH. Bath Fitter WILL NOT sell a tube of caulk that matches the color of the tub and wall surround so the homeowner can do the repair so you are captive and must pay Bath Fitter $75.00 to replace their defective material that "Material, Labor, and installation are GUARANTEED. The Bath Fitter Lifetime Warranty affords you the peace of mind you deserve." When I told the person on the phone I would be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to the fact that I MUST PAY Bath Fitter $75.00 to get a proper repair, because they WILL NOT sell the caulk to the homeowner, I was told "WELL DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO". Customer service at it's finest. NO WHERE ON THE PAPER WORK I RECEIVED OR ON THE BATH FITTER WEBSITE IS THERE ANY REFERENCE TO AN EXCEPTION TO THE LIFETIME GUARANTEE OF THE WARRANTY COVERING THE "MATERIAL, LABOR, AND INSTALLATION."
Well DO NOT EVER GET A SHOWER FROM #BATHFITTERS# .. Had them here 5 times cause of the door always getting stuck .. well guess what one day I’m going to get in shower and door was stuck so bad I pulled it and it splattered and had cuts on my feet , leg from it .. So had to get another company to replace the glasses doors 🤦♀️. Money money money .. SMH .. Guys are here to take out the old and in with the new..
Shower walls
1) Maureen (sales person) came to condo to give a quote on redoing shower walls in our master bathroom. She asked what my important wants were. I said no moldings very little silicone and no seams if possible on walls, one wall had a bulge in it and she said it was not a problem the carpenter would just screw the poured marble to the wall and take out the bulge. I really liked the floor and ceiling tile and definably wanted to keep it, wanted it done in 1 day as they advertised. She stated for over $6, 000 dollars she could give us everything except there had to be one seam. I told her $6ooo dollars was way out of our budget but thank you for coming. The next day she called and said she redid the numbers and they could do it for$4880 and we would use a different glass door company.
2) Their bill would be $3115 I explained it was still too much and she went on to say it is high because of the convenience of it being done in one day two days Max. We said okay gave her $750 deposit and signed contract.
3) 10/16/13 Oscar (installer)i arrived to start the job he said he could not screw poured molding to wall and that it needed to be gutted. I said okay thank you for showing up I was not spending any more money on renovation, he then said he would gut it. When he took the wall down he said he would use green board which is water resistant and when I looked in he was using plywood I asked him why and he said he needed to for strength for grab bar. I have now learned that ply wood is the wrong thing to do, it absorbs moisture and will haunt us in the future. Oscar never used drop cloths and dragged all material throughout my carpeted living room which he had to walk back and forth to get to bathroom. I then put down sheets of my own. 10/17 Oscar came back to finish job. I asked him why there were so many seams and so much silicone and he said that was the only way this shower could be done. I think there were 4 seams in total. What a mess! Threshold was slanted out of shower so water would run on floor of bathroom at least 4 seams moldings glued on top of old moldings filler under tub that would have made it impossible for Glass Company to install separation from shower and tub. After he left I called Roger(manager) and wanted a meeting with him and Maureen.
4) 18/18/13We discussed the work man ship and Rogers comment to Maureen was “what are we talking a condo in Punta Gorda, as if we live in a slum and this job is fine for the dump he felt we lived in. Maureen denied ever saying it could be done with one seam. Roger also stated he already got our job and he really didn't much care since he wouldn't be getting anymore work out of us. His attitude was very abusive tempers go hot I wanted them to leave then Roger told Maureen to take pictures and he would send another installer to fix what was done and he would call later that day.
5) 10/22/13 Roger called and said he would have someone here between 8-10 on Thursday 10/24. Kelly second installer) arrived 10:20 and worked until 2:30. During this time I kept hearing Kelly dropping his tools on uncovered tile floor. I went in to find Roger standing in our poured marble tub with cowboy boots on. I asked him to please take his cowboy shoes off while in tub we don’t want to scratch that up and please Kelly don’t drop tools on tile floor I really like this tile and would not be happy if it was ruined. He was very nice about it although it continued. Roger than left in a hurry and so did Kelly as I was cleaning the mess for the third time I noticed the tile on the shower floor was chipped in one spot and two were cracked in other spots. I was sick one step forward and three back.
6) I then called Roger and didn’t hear from him until 10/24 AM he said he would be here to check tile waited all day no show! Roger finally called at 4:45 PM can’t make it but Kelly would be here next day to finish job and he would be here at 9:00-930 to discuss tile. They started at 9:30 and left at 11:30, they installed the exact same trim they had installed over old trim last time new wall is separating from old wall and still have not cut hole for goose neck Roger said he would try to find tile to match tile they chipped and cracked and replace it. I said I would do the same I wrote notes on the board to see if anyone had any extra tiles here with no luck. The only tiles I received were white and mine were almond. Roger said that was good enough he would have them painted I said No Thank You! We now need a new shower floor which I didn’t want in the very beginning.
7) 10/28/13 Roger and Kelly came and filled shower seams with silicone hooked up goose neck. Glued new wall back to old wall, and again changed trim. I called glass people to measure and they came and said they would take measurements but since I needed new floor they would not put order in incase they chipped walls while taking out old floor, fixing damaged walls could alter their measurements. If and when the shower gets done and walls aren’t altered they would put the order in it would take about two weeks. I went to tile store and explained my situation and he said since the bath fitter installer does not do tile on a regular basis I should pick out a small tile since it doesn’t crack as easy if floor is not prepped properly.
8) 10/29/13 still waiting for Roger to call.
9) 10/30/13 still waiting for Roger to call.
10) 11/4/13 still waiting for Roger to call
11) 11/5/13 still waiting for Roger to call
12) 11/6/13 Roger finally called we had to leave for 2 weeks our rental need work and cleaning since our guests were coming back.
13) 11/26/13 back from keys Called Roger.
14) 12/2/13 Bath fitters called to see if Kelly could install tile 12/3 we said yes.
15) 12/3/13 Kelly came installed tile said he would defiantly be here next day to grout.
16) 12/4/13 Kelly called 3:45 said he can’t make it he would probably be here tomorrow.
17) 12/5/13 Kelly grouted tile.
18) 12/6/13 Kelly called can’t come today to busy.
19) 12/7/13 Kelly came back and sealed walls to floor.
20) 1/11/13 We still haven’t been able to use shower since glass has not yet been installed (no fault of the glass people) but you can see the floor has not been leveled properly since it dips in some spots towards the wall and the threshold where the door will be installed is not straight so the water will be sitting by the door and not drain on shower floor. Kelly said he could not fix that since it was such a small space to bend.
12/7/13 Celebration Bath fitters is no longer living with us the job is horrible but I can’t have them in my home one more day. I’m so tired of cleaning up after them and would like to add up all the work they caused me. What was supposed to be a one day job took 33 days. I know Roger feels my time is not worth anything but I would like to send him my bill.
1) 53 days minus 20 days we needed to leave town makes it 33 days of not being able to use my walk in shower after having a total knee replacement in July. Not easy to get in tub to wash!
2) Cleaning after the installers each time they left which was at least10 times.
3) Cleaning of carpet.
4) Being on call and waiting for them to show up at least 20 days.
5) We have already paid this company $750 for this mess and aggravation I feel we have paid enough. I have never been through such an ordeal between Rogers’s disrespectful attitudes and the mess and not being satisfied I have had enough.
6) On January 9 Roger called and wanted full payment as was agreed on I reminded him he didn’t for fill his agreement and I was not going to pay the full amount. He wanted to come over to discuss it I said no I am done with his abuse to send me a bill and we would go from there.
7) We received a registered letter and he has added another 5% surcharge so now I think it’s time for him to either recalculate bill for all our inconvenience or we will just have to battle it out in court.
MY ADVICE IS DON'T USE BATH FITTERS!
Thank you to Maureen, Oscar, Kelly, and Roger for listening to me and resolving this issue. I recommend Bath fitters and these employees for working so hard to resolve issues we had. Thank You again!
