I was in the store last 12-1 and Biglots Freehold store 5273. But I was shopping in the store and then around to 330 I was in line getting ready to check out .The line was kind of long and The cashier and deShawna did not call for help .One of the managers asked her what she going to call for help and she stated no I'm not calling anybody. She was very rude me to while she was checking me out . I told her she didn't ask for my rewards card and she stated no she was not going to and rolled her eyes and sucking her teeth . ThAt cashier shouldn't be employed.

Waited 2 months for the bed to come in. Received 3 different delivery dates. Received a call on Thanksgiving day and the next day from the store manager that the bed had arrived, rented a truck and traveled 60 miles to the store only to find out there was a piece missing. Poor Customer service. Horrible Experience. Poor communication. I demanded a refund!

My wife called the Vero store today and asked if they had a Winter Wonder Lane Funny Face Animated Elf in stock. The customer service person said she would check with the manager. She came back and told my wife yes they had them in stock, my wife told her I would be coming from about an hour away. She reassured her that they had them in stock. So I jumped in the car and headed to Vero Big Lots and guess what there wasn't a single one in stock. The manager couldn't have cared less that I just drove an hour or that I had another hour drive home empty handed. I will never step foot or buy anything from Big Lots again and will make sure I tell everyone I know about my experience.
You can find then on Amazon, but they are twice as high.
Is it possible that they had had a couple in stock and they had sold out by the time you arrived?

Me and my wife and our 3 kids went to Big Lots in Merced CA to pick up some cleaning supplies, as we were browsing around to purchase other items we were followed by employees down almost every isle. We had no bags, purse or baggy clothings and were just shopping around sometime later we notice security from the mall entered the store and stood about 10-15 feet away from us and just kept on staring at us. Me and my wife are of interracial relationship I am Asian and she is Hispanic, I used to work the mall security and I know how they keep an eye on shoplifters but we did nothing to cause them to watch us like criminals last time I check it wasn't against the law to browse for items to purchase in any store. After security came my wife grabbed our last item to purchased and we paid up at the register while security was still watching us as soon as we paid and exited the store and got to our vehicle security immediately left the store and drove off. I have never felt descriminated in my entire life until this incident I have emailed Big Lots and notified them of the incident and not once have I received any feedback

My sons rode their bikes to Big Lots today, 11/7/2017, to buy Elmer's Glue so they could make slime. On their way into the store, they were stopped by the manager, Jackie, who was outside collecting carts. Thats when they were told they could not enter the store. She told them they "needed to leave". Of course, my sons called me on the spot. When I went to the store to ask the manager what the problem was, and where was the signage stating that persons under 18 had to be accompanied, she proceeded to tell me that "other kids" had previously "wrecked" the store and that is why my kids were denied entry. I told her that my kids do not steal, nor do they "wreck" anything let alone public stores. I feel there were other ways to handle the situation and she did a piss poor job. My sons should not have been subjected to that, period. They have never wrecked that store or any other store, she's never even seen them in that store. I will not let it go because the manager was dead wrong and its not ok. I also feel as though it was discrimination. If you have a policy such as the one the manager stated, it should be POSTED somewhere and not made up on the spot. You will continue to hear from me until I'm satisfied with the outcome. Jackie's (the "manager")attitude sucks. She has zero interpersonal or customer service skills. i gaurantee she assumed my kids were just some "little black boys" with parents who aren't present. I will be relentless until I receive the desired outcome. Bottom line, my sons did nothing wrong & should not have been denied entry due to some stranger's previous actions.
Technically the store does have the right to refuse service to any customer. You stated twice in your complaint that you're looking for a particular outcome but you don't mention what that is.
store locked the doors before closing time
The Big Lots on Dixon Boulevard in Cocoa Florida closed at 8:58 p.m. while we were standing in front of the door they were at the register ignoring us. I knocked on the door I pointed to my cell phone and said you close at 9 pm . my cell phone says 8:58 pm. They had to already of locked the door before that time. they are on 1131 Dixon Boulevard Cocoa Florida 32922. Phone number is [protected]. The one employee was male white a little heavy set. I enclosed s picture one of the other employees. There were a total of 3 employees in sight. I was going to buy 10 totes at $13.50 each. I am very disappointed. I hate it when stores close their doors early.
It's just as possible that your phone may have been behind. Either way, I highly doubt that you would have completed your entire purchase within the two minutes. Entering a store two minutes prior to closing to make a purchase that would hold employees after store hours is very rude. You should have left for the store earlier. These employees have families or jobs or other commitments to attend to. If this is something you do on a regular basis (which is sounds like it may be), I guarantee you that those employees hope you will not return.

Any food or candy or snacks my wife I purchase at big lots in archbald pa is down right bad. No rotation of stock. I buy alot of food at this place and I'm so disappointed. Spend alot of money at this store. I bought a candy bar that exp date was 6/17. Really come on. I work in a grocery store always rotate food. Today I was at Big Lots, I haven't been there in a while so it was nice to look around and see what they had. The floor associate I communicated with was very helpful, she helped me with everything I needed, and even checked me out as my cashier later on. While cashing me out, another associate came in and to nicely put it was as rude as all get out to the girl who had been helping me. I feel bad for the girl that was helping me, I think her name was Page. She was cashing me out and the girl came in and was making an announcement, she turned to her and said, "hey, I can't hear you and I'm right next to you, can you please speak up. I had that..." and was basically cut off from that associate who said, in front of me a customer, "You can't tell me what to do, your not a manager, you should just get fired [censor]." The associate I had just looked like she was going to burst into tears. I would have if I had been in her shoes and one of my fellow co-workers had spoken to me that way, it was hurtful. I honestly will never go back to that location ever again. For that girl that helped me today, I wish you the best, you were a great help.

This incident happened yesterday October 10th 2017 at around 3:17pm or 3:20pm. The employee came into our breaker's where I was sitting on the couch waiting to leave to head out to catch the bus home, she was yelling at me because I told her that I was doing repack but then I realize I was doing a U-boat, and she said that "you been here long enough to know what a repack is." I realize that I was doing a U-boat instead of a repack, but the way she said it to me is the reason why I am filing a complaint. The way she was talking to me was very disrespectful. So after she said that to me, she left and came back into the break room, and it was about 3:30pm, and I was still in the breaker's sitting down, and she was yelling at me again about not doing repack, she told me "I am not going to have enough time to finish six boxes of repack!" Then after she said that she told me "We are not friends anymore." I told her "okay, that's fine". So I get up and walk out of the breaker's to catch the bus to go home because it was the end of my shift and she comes from around the corner following me with a shopping cart yelling at me to "get out" she kept telling that to me and kept following me out of the store. This was around 3:35-3:37pm. She also hit me with the shopping cart. I told her "Don't run me over with that buggie." Then she said to me "I don't care about you getting mad." She was very disrespectful to me and I know Big Lots do not tolerate harassment and mistreatment like that. I told one of our managers, that she (the employee) was bothering me. The manager said to "just ignore her and tell her that you work for Big Lots not her." I did not tell her that because I could not even get a word in with the employee.

My outdoor wicker reclinnig chair woven wicker is cominig apart after less then a year. I tried dealing with the store but they told me that it was pass 90 days. So I'm writing to you as my last resource of having this situation taken care of. All that I'm asking for is to have this chair replace, and when i ask the store about replacing it they told me outside 90 days and the chair was discontinued. Please help resolve this issue.

Writing on behalf of a friend at the Murrieta, CA location. 3 Weeks ago she was suspended for something she didn't know was wrong, 2 weeks ago she was supposed to find out her fate. As of today she's heard nothing and keeps getting the run around when she calls. At one point she was told she'd get a call back later, last weekend, and heard nothing sense. She found out her coworkers all thought she was fired. She still has not received pay from the day she actually got suspended, and that day is a whole different issue entirely. She was by herself with no one in the room on her bahalf. Asked leading questions designed to tr and get the response they wanted ("You know what you were doing was wrong, right?" She didn't) and then was scared enough that they were able to force her to handwrite and sign a note about her actions that THEY dictated to her, not in her own words, including her saying she knew what she did was wrong. She thought it would go in her file and she'd go back to work, but when she finished that's when they suspended her. It is ludicrous, ridiculous and absurd that they had the ability to back her into a corner like that, but not the ability to tell her whether or not she still has a job after 3 weeks of her being the one who has to initiate any sort of contact. I am appalled and very angry about this treatment. No matter what she did (used a coupon at check out that she wasn't supposed to, but thought was ok because others were doing it too, not sure if they're being treated the same or not), she doesn't deserve to sit in the dark for this long. If no one steps in and clears up this matter that should be long resolved so that she can move on with her life one way or another, I will never shop at a Big Lots location again, and I will also take every chance I get to make sure no one else does either. I will make it clear how they treat their employees, and that they don't deserve our money.

Tall older gentlemen putting out merchandise while customers are trying to shop and had no concern that they could not get past his mess of empty boxes and merchandise blocking whole aisle. Had a skid blocking the aisle with paper products and you could barely get a cart through and there were numerous customers in this aisle shopping. Constantly trash/boxes and shelves all around store. This has been the case a few times I've been here to shop. I just had enough of dealing with this clutter and mess while I try to shop. It very annoying when you can't shop what you need cause someone has stuff everywhere blocking that aisle putting out merchandise. Or when you are constantly bumping in to things or running over trash in cart.
Hello, as a stocker at a Big Lots location in Massachusetts I want to apologize for your experience. I understand your frustration because I live it. Please understand it is most likely not a lack of caring on the part of the employees. We are required to put out product during normal business hours to allow for better coverage for the store but this does create many problems for us. We have to put out a ridiculous amount of merchandise without nearly enough time to do so. Stockers are also the main people on the floor so we are constantly pulled away from our tasks to provide customer assistance and cashier support. We are customer service driven and we are more than happy to help find an item or answer a question or even just have a nice conversation about the weather but it does impact our ability to push out merchandise. When this happens people forget a box that may have been left on a shelf or it may take longer than expected to clean up a work space. I'm not sure about your location but mine is often understaffed for the amount of work to be done. We do care about your experience and how the store looks to the public but often we are caught between trying to finish our assignments and providing top-quality customer care.
I hear the same problems at other locations so it seems to be more of a system problem and not an employee problem. I know the employees and management at my store care a great deal about our customers experience and have become quite friendly with our many regulars but we face the same problems with clutter that you have experienced at your location. We just do not have the time to get the job done as well as we would like. I am hoping that the message gets heard at the corporate level so that changes can be made to better the experience both for you and my fellow employees.
Our corporation is very customer service driven and when they hear from customers they take it very seriously. The problem is that a majority of complaints are only heard at the local level and sometimes our hands are just tied due to policy or system constraints. If you have not done so I would share your experience with our corporate office. I would also encourage you to include things that have been a positive with your local store, it helps with morale when we know what we are doing right. I would hate to lose you as a customer and your feedback would help in improving future shopping experiences.

I bought a simmons sofa around 6 months ago at the latest possible date. It sat great in the sore... However after about one month after purchase the cushions started to stay flat. I have found another sofa from big lots... It's more firm and it's $570.00, compared to the $350.00 that I paid for the first one. Even without a receipt or more than one month. I honestly think that they could at least apply part of the price for the piece of crap that I already have on the other one that I would like to purchase.

Today we went to the Big Lots (Store #4195) at 8210 Kirby Drive, Houston TX [protected]. We bought 3 items - 2 throws and a can opener. There were just 3 customers standing in line behind us when we arrived at the counter at 6:48 pm. (RECEIPT DETAILS: Date - 09/04/2017; 6:49 pm, Total bill - $19.49 C1750925; Receipt no - S04195 R001 T0778 D20170904 X00) Our bill total was $19.49. My elderly father who is visiting us from another country (unfamiliar with dollar bills) took out cash to give to the cashier (An African American girl, with glasses). He had $17 out in his hand already and as he was fishing for the remaining $2.49 cents, the girl at the cash counter constantly made faces of impatience. At the most, it took him one complete minute to gather the cash and coins for $2.49, but judging from her scary facial expressions he smiled and said sorry. The girl did not smile back. When I joked and said that he actually made it easier with the cash, she spoke right back at me and said, "No, its actually a big problem for me to handle cash but that's ok." She threw the balance 1 cent on the table and just refused to look at us. We expect a billing counter person to be patient and polite but she was the exact opposite and her behavior is unacceptable. I have faced reluctant cashiers but she was ahead by several miles with her impoliteness. Never going back again! She made our evening mood completely plummet... I request a complete refund of the money.
