This is reference to burger king store # 8119. I've been visiting this store for about 9 months now and never seen a male manager nor pl. I've also notice that an employee working there was once a manager at KFC. Not saying that the managers and Pl's that are there now are not doing there job, but its very rare to see male managers. Also noticed that a female at the same store probaly been working there around 1.5 months now have a black shirt, in which this guy i was speaking on has been there over 4.5 months. Yea you can say i see everything. Everytime im in the store which is everyday i see him bust his tail working, he's all over the place doing odd jobs making sure the store is clean. That's what type of people we need in management, not someone who has a lead to that position. I know it was a lead cause i overheard conversations as the employees were taking breaks in the store. I truly don't thnk this is the right choice. I see him motivated and yes qualified for the position but yet you make a FEMALE who's been there for a few weeks a pl. Please review this before i have to make a disrcimination complaint.

@pobarjenkins: Perhaps you don't get something called, "economy of scale", dear. There are an incalculable number of ways the cashier could have handled the customer, all of which could have retained them. But she didn't.

Here's another way they could have handled it: They could have made the batch of biscuits, given the customer what they ordered, and donated the remainder of the batch to a local homeless shelter or soup kitchen, gotten a receipt for it and written it off as a charitable donation.

Here's another little consideration for you, dear. The complain clearly states there was 6 minutes to go until the advertised end of the breakfast period. Please note, "advertised." The fact that the customer could not receive the advertised product at the advertised price during the advertised period is a little violation of US Federal law. The customer could, and probably should, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for failing to receive what was advertised when it was clearly advertised as being available. Oh! A nasty fine from the FTC versus the cost of a batch of biscuits. Hmm. What would be cheaper?

Also, whomever calculated the batch requirements for the shift didn't do so very well. Six minutes to go and you're out of biscuits? Too bad. You ask the customer nicely if he would wait for fresh ones.

Oh, and here's another little snippet of fact, for you, dear. An offer was made and accepted. Money had changed hands. There was now a contract in place and the BK restaurant failed to deliver on it and made it nasty for the customer to boot. That's called a tort, dear. Not a tart (though Auntie has made lots of those in her day).

Bottom line: The restaurant screwed up in more ways that one. The lifetime value of the customer would have outweighed the cost of one batch of biscuits. And the fact is, if they took the money, they should deliver the goods.

Ageism dear? In my experience in hundreds, if not thousands, of retail transactions, I have had more negative experiences with people under the age of 21 behind the counter than over that age. That's called empirical evidence, not ageism. Though I am sorry to hear you have largely had negative service experiences with seniors. I think that shows us both that training in sales and service is woefully inadequate in the retail sector.

Have a peanut butter cookie, dear. Tea?

@gkenigmatic - Thank you for answering, and so politely too. Personally, I wouldn't eat in a restaurant again where I got food poisoning. Nor would I paint the entire chain with the brush of being unclean, unsavory, unsanitary places to eat. There's a risk of food poisoning every time you eat? Not if the kitchen is clean, food is prepared and handled properly, and the staff wash their hands after they go potty.

I do hope you reported the incident to your local public health department.

I think it's quite reasonable that I have the expectation, when I visit a restaurant, that they're not going to make me sick because I did so.

@gkenimatic - Oh it's deterred me. But then, I've been a Wendy's girl for years. (And at that, it's a once-in-six-months kind of deal)

Actually, when it comes to butchering the meat, gatheredthe eggs and picked the vegetables myself, I did not. But that doesn't stop me from cooking beef, pork or poultry to a minimum of 165 F, not touching anything after handling eggs until I can get to the hand sanitizer, and giving the veggies a thorough scrubbing (sometimes even using dish soap and a good rinse).

As for lifetime value of customer, there definitely is one.

I agree with you. The line behind you is why they don't care about any one particular customer. Give every one of them a negative experience enough times though and you could blow a tumbleweed through the store at any hour of the day or night.

I wasn't kidding. Every BK franchise in my area is gone. So they must be doing something right to alienate customers.

Tea?

What kind of company believes that an Oreo Shake is serving a vanilla shake with crushed Oreos and whip cream on top? Their service and quality keeps getting worse and this was the last straw.

And to make it worse they gave me no receipt so no Corp number to call. Then I look online and there are no e-mail or numbers to call. They could care less about their customers.

I'll stick with In and Out, Jack in the Box and McDonalds..

The price of a kids meal has not been .99 for over 10 years now. It's .99 for a 4 piece tender or a hamburger alone, but never a kids meal. A medium sode is 1.89 alone.

The services at all the burger king's in the santa fe area of new mexico is as I will put it "sucks". I have been living here in santa fe for nearly 5yrs now and everytime I go to a burger king, doesn't matter which location, they get my order wrong or its cold... I lived in chicago before moving to santa fe and I can say that the owners and managers just dont care.. I go in person to complain all I ever get is an apology.. Apologies are for people that care and is not meant to be thrown at a customer for every mistake they make... Instead of burger king the should rename it "sorry burgers". Heres a greeting to be used here in santa fe.. " welcome to sorry burgers how can I dissapoint u to day" sure no problem I will make sure your order is not nowhere near what u order and get it to you 15 hours later... Thank you have a terrible day" this is what all the burger king's in santa fe should advertise. Since no matter how many times I have to go in from the drive thru just to get my order corrected.. So why even have a drive thru... Burger king should rename it the f### you. Then they also have incompitant people that cant even understand basic english to take an order or even make the food right.. These are the worst burgerking's ever... They dont even know what "ob" means... I thought it meant off the broiler, but in santa fe new mexico it means out of the microwave... Another corporate bussiness that just doesn't care about there customers... They just want to make a quick buck, and serve you rotten food with rotten services...

I agree with every person that complains about Burger King, it just sucks. For me the service is very bad and they take for ever to deliver your food especially in drive-thru. I live in a town called Anthony and we have a burger king and its bad so I just stopped going there.

Chicken sand which special at burger king in apopka is horrible! It was dry, salty, chewy like it was microwaved, had no mayonnaise, lettuce was either old or frozen. Also ordered a veggie burger and they didn't put it in the bag, I went back in they were rude and told me I had to wait 15 minutes, for a microwaved veggie burger, got my child a caramel sundae and they filled the little cup half way, not to mention this was after they "forgot" to bring it out... This was by far the worst experience ive ever had at any burger king.

After raising 2 sons and their friends

on Burger King, I was shocked when I asked for a breakfast sausage bisqick with tomato and was charged 25 cents for the tomato--they said it was extra!

When I told them for years my kids and I have eaten there and always told them to leave off the tomato's ( kids don't eat them and the wife has a medical condition and can't have them--and not once have they ever taken 25 cents off my bill !

Ryan's is a buffet, isn't it? They can't sit there an measure that you're only going to eat 4 oz. My suggestion is to go to a regular sit and dine restaurant. They can not tell you that you can't 'share' with someone in your party. You can also just order a small side salad or something else more appropriate.
Buffets charge a cheap amount of money so you can eat as little or as much as you want. That's how it works.

Your new burger with peppers and cheeze inside was so over cooked, it looked like they cooked it a second time yo get it hat. The burger was so over cooked, it was black like charcol. That will be the last time I ever buy a burger from them! The store is at Cave Vreek Rd. and Union Hills. This is the worst burger I hav ever had. If it worent for the fact that we were on our way to work, we would have taken them back.

The order taker said that is just how it rings up so I get my order and go home well there it was a piece if reheated rubber chicken between a huge ciabatta bun. I will not be going back.

Went into Burger King at 1020 am wanting breakfast. There was one lady that had been waited on in line waiting for her food. We stood there for over five minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. After four more minutes of waiting fianlly a cashier came to the front and asked had we been waited on, we said no. She asked what we wanted, my wife said a bacon and cheese croissant, she said wait a minute let me look and see if we have any? She said yes, I ordered two of the three peice french toast sticks, she said we don't have any. I said well just cook them. She said breakfast is officially over, I said well we have been here for ten minutes now and this lady her still doesn't have her order, why can't you just cook them? She said again breakfast is oficially over. Well needless to say, we asked to speak to the manager, she replied I am the manager. Well needless to say we ended up leaving and going to Hardee's which is five minutes away where they had already stopped breakfast at this time fifteen minutes earlier and asked for breakfast bisquits, without any problem three minutes later we had fresh breakfast from a resteraunt that really did have a manger that knows how to take care of customers.

This was the 3rd time out of 3 times that I received an incorrect order from burger king. What the hell happened to having it your way? First of all I could barely understand what the lady was saying because of her heavy spanish accent. I placed my order with no mayo. I repeated "no mayo" to her. She said ok and I see it pop up on the screen, "no mayo". I also ask for ketchup with my order when I arrive to the window. I get back to work and open my sandwich to find that not only does my chicken sandwich have mayo but it looked as if it had extra mayo. It seemed like some sort of joke. Complete oposite of what I asked. It was caked on both sides. Besides that, there was nothing else in the sandwich. Just the chicken patty and buns. The other problem was that when I asked for ketchup, I received 1 packet. Whats the point of having any if your only going to get 1 packet. For 8 bucks, I expect a little more than that. I could have gone to subway and gotten a 12" sub with everything on it for 5 bucks.

Received coupons in the mail today. Ordered items featured in the coupons at drive through. Drive through person told me that I could only use one coupon per visit. Cancelled order. Went to Der Wienerschnitzel. Ordered items featured in the coupons. Order was completed in a timely manner, attendant was friendly, courteous, multiple coupons were accepted and Der Wienerschnitzel received my money. "Have it your way" Burger King, you will never receive another cent from me. BTW: your competitors, Arbys, Carls Jr., Jack in the Box, Der Wienerschnitzel, etc. all accept multiple coupons. BK needs to get back to the basics...listen to your own slogan. I'm tired of the hassle.

On Sunday, 3/27/11, I went to the Burger King in Kilgore, TX to get their Italian Chicken Sandwich and was told that they do not have that on the menu even though there are commercials and coupons out for it. I asked to speak to the manager and she just looked up and ignored me. So, I decided that the store did not need my business. On Tuesday, 3/29/11, I was in Longview, TX and decided to go to Burger King and see if they had the Italian Chicken Sandwich. I placed my order of 2 IC Sandwiches, 2 BK Single Stackers, and 2 Large Onion Rings to go. The total came to $14.75 and I paid with my debit card. I get home and am missing the 2 BK Stackers, so I call the store to see what I need to do to either get my food or get my money back. The first person to answer the phone told me he made them and he would let me talk to the manager. The manager told me that they were super busy when I was there and that is why some of the food was missing. I told him when I arrived there was only 1 car in the parking lot and they were leaving and there were no cars in the drive thru. He told me I could come back and get the burgers or my money. So off I go back to the store. Then I decided to call and see if I could come and pick up the money in the next couple of days when I would be close by. The same guy that answered the phone the first time I called, answered and I asked to speak to the manager. He yelled for the manager and told the manager twice "It is that lady again, you just need to cuss her out." When the manager got on the phone, I asked if I heard this young man correctly and he said "No, he said it sounded like you were going to cuss me out." I then informed him that I was on my way and he needed to have my money ready when I got there and that I would be calling the corporate office in Florida the next morning . He said because I used my debit card, he would need the card to refund the money on. I said fine, I have the card with me. When I arrived at the location, I went in and he had already refunded all my money to my card and had sent the young man home that answered the phone. This tells me that even after they have your card back, they still have access to it to charge you more, and if he could have refunded it to my card without me there, why did he make me drive back?

You are right, but I think my complaint is valid... why because I am the customer... and I have the money. Customers may express their opinions regarding policies by choosing not to frequent an establishment/chain. This forum is a voice so that they can know why there market share is decreasing. One persons' "big deal" is another person’s mediocrity.

I went to Burger king in Derby, NY in May! One of the employees called me fat when I ordered a triple whopper meal and a large milkshake and a double whopper meal for me girlfriend! I was really upset after she said that! She was really heavy also! I tried to contact the Burger King Corporation and did not get any answer back from them! After that I do not eat Burger King food anymore! It was really dirty in there also! In the bathrooms also! The managers refused to clean out the fryers! All the managers gave attitude towards the customers! It went out of business though and I am glad

After a pleasant drive through the canyon I rolled past the quaint little town of Driggs, ID. The only visible restaurant open at 630 am was this Burger King. I stopped at the drive thru and was excited to order the blueberry muffins for breakfast. I sat at the order screen for a few minutes. The sign said Breakfast started at 600 am! Well, I rolled to the pickup window and knocked. The woman in an irritated mood opened the window. I asked what time they opened. Oh, they were open, but the food hadn't even been started yet! 20 more minutes until something was ready to serve! Let me just be honest, if your sign says you open at 600 am you need to be ready to serve at 600 am!

I just left Burger King On Josey off of Beltline In Carrollton Tx...The food is terrible the service is bad today is May 6th at 7pm. I am ashamed of the way the restrnt had gone downhill I have been going there for years. I asked my grandson to get us some napkins. I watched the employee look right at him and would not wait on him. He took about 7 peoples orders why he just stood there. Finally I had to get up and leave my other smaller grandson at the table unattended to get loud and demanding to get napkins. There is not reason for that. I am not going back to this Burger King and I thing the health department needs to check in on them and the corporate manager too. That was gross food and sorry service...
