Canada Post parcel delivery

Today is Jan 5, 2018. We were expecting a special delivery today for our granddaughters birthday which we also paid extra for to insure that it arrived today. We are seniors and are home 24/7 especially when we are expecting a delivery as important as this. The delivery person never even came to the door, instead the person left a card in our mailbox to pick up the parcel tomorrow. This is the 3rd time that this has happened and our second complaint regarding this issue. Our granddaughter is going to be very disappointed when she doesn't get her present today. Since this is our 3rd experience with this and our second complaint we are now going to request a different carried for our deliveries. We get several deliveries each week, but can no longer trust Canada Post. Enough is enough.

Canada Post tracking numbers not scanned by canada post employees

Dear Canada Post Customer Service,

I am filing a complaint as to the negligence of Canada Post Employees who are not scanning the "tracking number" of a parcel when they receive it a their depot. This is an ongoing issue and I filed a complaint with your manager in Whitehorse, Yukon last year regarding this.

And yet the same problem is occurring still. Your customers pay extra money for the tracking number service when shipping or receiving items; and yet your employees are negligent/being lazy and not scanning the items! Hence a person is not able to track where the item is.

I have received 3 packages in the last week with tracking numbers and the items were not scanned in Whitehorse, Yukon before going to Carcross, Yukon. The last scan they show before arrival in Carcross is Richmond, B.C.

I live in the bush and it is a 25 mile drive to Carcross to pick up my mail. Hence I check tracking details prior to going into Carcross to be sure a package has arrived and not waste time and fuel costs. That is why I pay for the extra shipping fee for tracking service. And yet your employees in Whitehorse are not doing what is required - scanning the tracking numbers -! This is unacceptable; and must be addressed and rectified immediately!

Your customers pay for this service; so your company and its employees must provide the full service. In speaking to some of your employees and the manager in Whitehorse the "rational-excuse" given was; it may sometimes happen as the staff is so busy! Really - you expect people to accept this!

Richmond, B.C. is the main depot for receiving items from the U.S. and a heck of a lot busier than Whitehorse, Yukon and yet they find the time to scan all items with tracking numbers. So why should a small place like Whitehorse main depot say they don't have the time...well they better make the time as your customers have paid for the service.

I expect this issue to be resolved immediately and notified as to the actions taken to do so.

Respectfully,
Jacqueline St. Jacques

Canada Post money order refund

The Canada Post located inside 1801 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga, ON, L5J 1J6, alos known at Turtle Creek. Refused to refund my money order. Even though I went late in the afternoon on the 18th since I know that post offices do not always have enough cash to float $600. I presented the money order and the receipt. I was served by the son of the owners, who scanned the receipt so knew at that point that it was a valid money order that I just wanted to refund. He then called, his dad for direction and then told me I had to take it back to Inukjuak to refund it and then gave me the customer service number to call. I called that evening and was told yes they should have taken it. I went back on the 19th and this time was served by the wife. Again refusal to take it. She states we do not accept that, go to a bank and when I replied that I called Canada post and that she is supposed to refund it, then miraculously they don't have enough money. I asked for their Canada post license number /operators number she quoted ROC number which means nothing me and nothing to Canada Post whom I called again. Is it a personal thing or just me that is the problem.

Sincerely,

P. Smith

Canada Post canada post delivered to wrong address frequently

I received two mails with other people's address delivered to me within last two weeks. It is scary because the delivery mistakes happen too frequently. I tried to research how to get the mail back to the right address. It requires to fill out lots of information to create a service ticket in Canada Post's website. Who would go through all the trouble to get the mail back to a stranger? We should just write "Delivered to Wrong Address" on the mails and put them back to the mailbox. After all, it is Canada Post's fault and it is unfair for those received mails with wrong to do all the work to fix it.

Canada Post service

I received an registered envelope Dec.14.2017 from my mother. Upon opening it. I noticed the envelope was tor and the cards inside were open. I'm lucky because nothing was taken . But how did the cards inside get open. And the envelope was tape back up. Shouldn't of been. I called my mother to find out if she had to reopen the envelope . She said no. when she is sending something its done with no problem.
Here is the tracking # RN [protected] Ca
Having sent several items threw the post office never a problem. Having concerns now. Especially at Christmas time. To think someone opens your mail. Is discouraging. Thanks for listening and I hope for safe handling of the mail or parcels.

Canada Post private contractor parcel delivery

We get parcels contract delivered to Limerick, SK. Last year my small gifts I purchased from Banggood arrived THREE MONTHS after Christmas, that is, it took four months from purchase time in late November to get to here. Banggood shipped the parcels within days of me ordering them. They sat, and sat, and sat at some post office terminal (Moose Jaw?) because the contractor could not be bothered with the smaller packets I assume. The large boxes arrived ok, the small stuff was either lost, or fell to the bottom of the bin/triwall that the contractor is supposed to unload every day. Now, this year, same deal. I got a few of the packets from Banggood right away, the rest have vanished, again. It's not Banggood, and it's not customs because the value of the items is just a few bucks each. I want to know why the bins are not emptied, totally emptied, each day, and not left until they fill up some smaller container or whatever the excuse is. A few days ago their truck broke down, then it was the weather, now it's probably because they are either too lazy or the truck is way too small. Two months should be plenty of time for the small packets to arrive here, even at Christmas. Ever since the decision was made to privatize parts of Canada Post the service has gone downhill.

Canada Post terrible customer service from a supervisor/money grab fuel charges by canada post

Sent a parcel to us for xmas. Looked at bill and it had,... A fuel charge! Just about fell off my chair in disbelief at the money grab by canada post. This is really disgusting and hidden very well as when I asked the lady what my hidden charges are she mentioned nothing. Hmmmm nobody pays my fuel bill! So why does canada post suck more money, more money, more money from a seriously lacking service. On hold for 45 minutes and got an extremely rude, sarcastic,... Supervisor who was nothing but a total [censor] to me from the beginning of the call. As well, the women whom I first talked to was really rude as she said, "a supervisor cannot do anything for you"! Hey canada post,... If your supervisors treat their customer's like that or cannot handle a call with decency,... Fire them! (We all know it is next to impossible to hand anyone fired for anything kind of wrongdoing at canada post and the stories from employees is unbelievable to hear how pathetic canada post is in their management.
This supervisor would not tell me his name after asking my full name and all my deets. This piece of — actually hung up on me when I asked to talk to someone else who could handle my call and concern. Coward!
No more canada post. This is a rip off company and if their supervisors and customer service people are that rude and condescending. No more canada post for my online company!

Canada Post ship-in-a-click

Client # 8413836
2 Dec 2017 I tried to make a shipping label for a parcel. The program took my credit card information and I paid $16.78. Auth # 049434 Order # [protected] Track # [protected]. Then the program would not print the label.
I called Roy at Canada Post to get help or a refund. He told me to wait till after the office received the order info and to call back then.
3 Dec I spoke to Bilal. He told me he had resolved the issue. It would take ~10 days for me to receive a refund cheque and about 5 days for a supervisor to call me about the refund. Ticket # [protected]. I wasn't sure why a supervisor would call me, but if that's the protocol OK.
I waited.
13 Dec I called to check on the status of the issue. Diane was unable to find the original ticket # or any information about a refund. She passed me on to Wade at the Help Desk
Wade gave me another ticket # [protected]. He too was unable to find the original ticket #, but he sent a query up the pipe to find out if a refund had been done or not and someone would call me later this morning to let me know the issue was resolved.
13 Dec 5PM No one had called so I called back and spoke with Kyle. Apparently Wade had sent my message to the wrong department. Since it was not their issue they didn't feel they had to call me. Kyle said he would put me on hold for a few minutes while he checked the available options. Instead he put me back into the line up for initial contact and I waited again.
5:15 Dave took my call. He suggested we talk to the Credit Management Group. They told him and his floor support person that it was not their problem because it was a "ship-in-a-click" issue. Dave apparently finally escalated to make up two "Pulse tickets" . My ref # for this is #3157006. It will take another day for someone to deal with the issue and then contact me. Needless to say, I'm not holding my breath and I will call Canada Post regarding this part of the process over the next couple of days.
As you may have guessed, by now, I am very frustrated with the inefficiency of your on line service and the lack of problem solving skills your front line people seem to have. All of the people I spoke with were very polite and seemed to be very helpful at the time. None of them did the job that it should have taken perhaps 15 min to complete.
I want my $16.78 refunded. In addition, considering the time and effort I have had to put into this, because of Canada Posts lack of skill, I would like some financial benefit for future use of this service. Your competition would love to have my business, so if you want to keep it, you might want to do something that will make me like you better than I do right now!
Yours truly,
Dr. M. Marvin
PS. Dec 14. 2:00 PM no call from Canada Post and I am forwarding this complaint to you because I cannot find a way to complain to Canada Post. This website comes up every time I try, so I cannot try to deal with this directly with them.

Canada Post never open

I want to file a complaint because our post office in Richibouctou-village, NB is always closed. Whenever the lady that works there feels like closing or has something else to do she closes. It is suppose to be open now but i just went to have money put on my visa and it is already closed for the day. And its only 2:10 in the afternoon. So now i have to drive 30 minutes to an other post office. If the lady who works there does not like her job ( she is always in a bad mood also), then somebody would gladly take her place. So can you please do something about this problem. Her name is Gisele Maillet Ouellette. Thank you and have a good day

This is another game Canada Post loves to play. When I lived in Ottawa they didn't deliver parcels to the door any more, all I got was a card in the mail saying there was a parcel at the local drug store. Problem is the post office part of the store closes at 5pm, the same time I got off work. Nice system.

Canada Post false procedures

My mail got lost. On the Global Tracking Information it had all the correct procedures stated. It demonstrated that the sender had done their job perfectly correct. In fact, my item went through Canada's customs, it was dropped at a local office. On the day of the delivery, the item was processed and the Global Tracking Information finalized the delivery by stating "DELIVERED". The delivery person has no authority to check that item as "DELIVERED", unless it was dropped off in the correct mailbox, PO box, etc. I called the customer line, they said it was delivered. Went to the local post office, they also said it was delivered. But I never received anything. Canada post trains their employees to state that the investigation of a lost item must begin at the sender's location. This is ridiculous. As an attorney, when the Global Tracking Information demonstrates that the package was in fact in Canada, had been picked up by a delivery man/woman and "DELIVERED". They have no business to state this. They are attempting to blame the sender, take exponentially long time, and distract the clients. I refused to follow this procedure as I claimed Global Tracking Information would have absolute zero use and should be abolished if we are not to look at the evidence. So, they had someone check my apartment to make sure it was not dropped off in the wrong mailbox. After, a failed check, he told me I could call the line and ask for compensation. I didn't have any faith in this but I proceeded to call. No compensation and she said that my complaint ticket was entered incorrectly since it has to begin with the sender. I just hung up because I'm not about to teach another individual about the purpose and authenticity of Global Tracking Information. Every step that is confirmed has been scanned. It is mind boggling that they have a pathetic policy that starts with the sender. Terrible and crooked. People, choose signature drop-off service. Do not trust Canada Post to do it for you.

I selected signature drop off and they still threw the package I sent my gf on her doorstep... even when the delivery person could see there was no place to hide it on her door step because it was easily seen due to size and color.

Canada Post package delivery

I ordered 3 packages with Paypal, I package arrived but the other two were sent back for wrong address? They all had the same address on the packages and this is not the first time some lazy [censor] won't take the time to send it through! I use a Rural Box this is an issue you need to deal with, I have had several packages sent back when the correct address is on the package. Get it together or this customer is going to find other means to getting things shipped

Canada Post delivery to wrong province

My order ended up going from Toronto to Saskatchewan with the delivery address being in Toronto. How does that even happen? Now it's going to be late, and it was a birthday gift. Canada Post customer service said they don't even have a way of communicating with the facilities so they can find a solution like expediting it. Why don't they update their' system like the rest of the world? This is so bad. Very displeased with Canada Post.

Canada Post delivery notices

I have been waiting for a package for several weeks from China. Today, Dec. 11/17, I sent in a complaint to the company that I bought the products from because of how long that the delivery is taking.

However, I learned that a notice of delivery was supposed to be given to me on Dec. 3/17 as well as a 2nd delivery notice on Dec. 9th. I DID NOT RECEIVE EITHER NOTICE.

I am not happy at all that I didn't get either notice as my package that I have been waiting for could have been sent back to the shipper and then delayed another 2 months!

I don't know what information you require as my package is delivered to Madigan Square Shoppers Drug Mart. What info I have is below:

Tina Madden ([protected]@hotmail.com)
428, 6923 16AVE SE, Calgary AB, T2A 6A8
Tracking # is LM698663847CN
Delivering to: Madigan Shoppers Drug Mart

Please look into this matter. I want to know why 2 notices were not delivered as per the tracking site.

Thanks,
Tina Madden

Canada Post charges I had to pay for a xmas gift coming to me in the mail

I received a parcel from my brother, who lives in the USA. He sent me gift cards that he actually had purchased last summer in Canada. He valued the gift cards at $300.00 . These gifts cards are not only for me, but also for my daughter and her 4 children for Xmas from my brother. He also sent me some tea and a cup as a gift for me for Xmas.

On the parcel it was noted by Canada Border services agency that there is a charge for duty of $4.08 on the tea, $324.48 on the paper(which I am assuning is the gift cards. The actual charges on this piece of paper show $16.22 for GST plus a $9.95 for handling charge. I was forced to pay $26.17 in order to receive my xmas gift from my brother. I was outraged. Since when does a Canadian have to pay charges to receive a gift from the USA? I would like to be reimbursed for these charges. I will try to attach photos of these charges to this email.

Gift cards do not get charged GST either, as when the recipient uses the gift card to buy something, then the recipient pays GST. Why was I charged these fees.

Thank you. My address is 1271 Ranchview Road N.W.
Calgary, Alberta. T3G 2 C3

Kathy de Jong

Canada Post lost mail

We are a business in Beaumont AB and I have had quite
a few calls on people not receiving there cheques over the last month. This is
very maddening and embarrassing then it cost us money to stop payment and re issue a new cheque... Something needs to be done about the postal depot in this area! This has been a problem on and off over the years but this year it is very bad.

Canada Post handling fees (cross border), fees in general and total lack of customer service

If there was a zero I would definitely have selected that, as 1 star is definitely too high a rating for Canada Post.

Their rates are ridiculous and when I am shipping personally, I find I have better service and rates through various courier agencies. I would never choose Canada post as a delivery service for anything above a simple letter. Sadly, as a recipient I do not always have the luxury of choosing a courier over the postal service.

Their additional handling fees to the recipient for cross border packages are unacceptable. They claim it's to recoup their cost for the duties and taxes, and for doing a simple math calculation. As far as recouping their costs, unless the recipient decided to throw their money away by never accepting the package, then Canada Post gets their money for the duties and taxes or the customer gets nothing. Paying a $10 handling fee for a simple math calculation seems pretty steep to me, especially when it's on a product of not much more value than their $10 fee. My package had a $20.44 CDN value on which they calculated $2.66 of HST, but Canada Post added a $9.95 handling fee for this service, that's almost half the value of my entire purchase.

I believe as a customer, I should have the option to either authorize the service Canada Post is providing and the cost associated with it, or decline the service and deal with the Cross Border Services Agency personally to potentially fill out documentation and pay any duties and taxes myself. It should be my decision as to how it is handled.

Their customer service is non-existent. Their is no actual assistance of any kind given, just their scripted explanation of why they can charge you these ridiculous amounts.

Canada Post mail being delivered to wrong address and being stolen or discarded

November 10th, 2017
Replacement Credit Card put in wrong mailbox
Dropped in 97 Fairview Avenue not 97 A Fairview Avenue which is located on the leftside of the Fourplex.
I had to cancel that replacement card and wait another week to get the new replacement card which was to be delivered to my door, signed for and government issued I.D was required but was still just left in mailbox at 97 Fairview Avenue. My neighbours brought my mail down to me later which was now November 17th, 2017. My credit has been affected by this inadequate mailing system because I had payments trying to go through and they all got declined due to me not being able to update my information with my debtors. I have not been receiving any mail at all in my mailbox for over a month and half. Not even a flyer. I have had parcels leffed at my door and stolen since I moved here December 0f 2016. This has to be the dealt with accordingly because I had plans to move and now because of my credit I am stuck with all these overdue charges and cannot obtain any lines of credit, my bills are stacked and my holidays are ruined. I refuse to order anything unless I use a courier that I have to pay for to make sure they deliver to my door. I deserve retribution for this inconvenience and will also be sending this documentation to all my debtors.

This is the second time I file a complaint with Canada Post and no longer want any mail delivered. I wish to be contacted via telephone or email with instructions and tracking information so I can pick my mail and parcels at local canada post office.
