delivery
I received a delivery notice on my door and the delivery person did not knock on my door AT ALL. I have been waiting at home for this package all day and did not hear any knock. I went to check my mail and saw the notice on my door. To make matters worse, my medication is delivered to the country hills location in Calgary where I called to check if it was dropped off and the call was recieved by an EXTREMELY RUDE lady named Shelley who cut me off before asking any questions and then hung up when I asked . The I proceeded to call back just to have my tracking number checked but was still RUDELY talked to by Shelley again and then the manager, Andrea, 30Mins later. Andrea assumed I was some other lady that had called the day before and proceeded to be extremely rude to me.
non delivery of mail/slow xpresspost delivery.
On November 15th my sister sent me replacement checks for a series of post dated checks presumably stolen from me. As of December 1, I have not received them. As this money is geared to pay my rent, and being I am a disabled senior, my sister reissued the checks on November 29th and sent by express post that same day.Being sent the same day, I was assured postal delivery the next day, being it was sent from Cambridge to Brampton, only 60 miles apart. It didn't arrive on the 30th as gauranteed. When called, they assured me next day delivery, December 1st. Still no delivery! They now tell me December 4th. Is Canada Post that incompetent? I find this level of service totally inexcusable! Who's going to pay my rent, now overdue by almost two weeks?
unreliable customer service
NEVER USE CANADA POST... poor customer service and ridiculous delivery times. I mailed a letter for international delivery and was told it would take 2-3 weeks to get the letter delivered as it was registered post. It has been more than a month so I called the customer service. I was talking to so-called supervisor Nicole and she was the MOST RUDE person you can talk to. She started asking unnecessary questions and hung up on me when I asked the status of my shipment. I should have used a RELIABLE COURIER SERVICE instead of Canada Post...
parcel delivery
Not only does CDA Post NOT deliver the parcel to the address on it, to LEAVE AT DOOR as indicated, and often a notice is NOT even left in the mailbox (superbox) to indicate that it has been "delivered" to the post office.
For a current parcel, both CDA Post and the vendor have "confirmed" that this package has been delivered. It was not delivered to the street address, it was not delivered to the mail box, and NOR was any notice left at either location that a delivery had been sent to the post office for pickup.
NOTE that on the tracking window for this item under "Delivery details, Features and options" it states LEAVE AT DOOR.
Years ago, CDA post's delivery of parcels was consistently good - parcels actually were DELIVERED to the Street address as per the parcel. For the past 2 - 3 years parcels are RARELY delivered to the house, and often the first notice received is in the mailbox 5 or more days after parcel was left at the post office for pickup.
Canada Post parcel delivery has been terrible for the past several years. Why does the Parcel Delivery service NOT do what it says it will do?
Come on Canada Post - DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU WILL DO. And, only say what you HAVE done - ie - don't indicate there was no answer at the delivery address location when delivery was NOT EVEN attempted!
Canada Post - are you in the delivery business? Or in the "drop off at the community depot- and leave you a notice a week later" business?

canada post in general
The Canada Post system is a complete failure...
I have worked for some major global companies and I can say with all my experience, Canada Post is the all time worst. They have an incompetent system of investigations that does not in anyway provide support to their customers. They tell you that they use your information to correct issues within the system...I have yet to see these corrections considering the same problems occur across the board numerous times... Canada Post fails to meet Canadian expectations. Instead of cut backs they should just terminate the entire system and go private!
Every time a company tells me that they will ship using Canada Post I either cancel the order or call customer service and ask them to ship it using a private company...even if i have to pay a large sum. I'd rather have the confidence knowing that my shipment will arrive when it is expected to, than have to worry and find out that it is lost and requires an "investigation" that does nothing to help me...Mind you this investigation does not provide you with any information or compensation...If it's only for Canada Post's knowledge how does that help the customer? What benefit does the customer receive calling in if nothing changes in the system and the problem persists? What are you doing for your customers Canada Post?
Step up your game or get out of the game! Customers pay your salaries...do something that shows us its worth it...
inflexible policies
So, I had a pair of boots delivered to a pick-up location, but the address was off by one number (Unit 105 instead of Unit 106) I called in to Canada Post's customer service centre to have the boots redelivering to the correct address. The customer service rep said there was nothing they could do because the package had already been marked for re-delivery. I called in a second time to see if I could have it redelivered to the original address (I have a good relationship with the business owners who operate out of Unit 105) but the second service rep gave me the same response. Most other courier companies will re-deliver upon customer request. How is sending a package back to the original sender time or cost efficient? How, in the age of online purchases, is this policy effective, efficient, or helpful? Get with the times Canada Post.
held on document
I had a very important document sent from Guelph to montreal, I didn't add the apartment number so Canada post didn't deliver (why ask for the details of the receiver then?).I had the receiver go to the post office in montreal to see if the package could be collected, they said it has been sent back to the send. okay, since the package has to be sent to me, it was ment to be sent asap since it could not be delivered from friday (24th of nov} to Tuesday (today), the package had not left baconfield deport, Quebec. most of the customer care agents i called kept apologizing like [censor] but told different lies or misinformed me daily, they couldn't help and all they did was cover up. Canada post is pathetic, a disgrace and unreliable. please if you do have any other important document, please use other services.
delivery time 13 weeks instead of 7 days
Canada Post says, international letter mail would usually be delivered within 7 days. I had many cases where my letter mail was shipped by ground service, what means with a ship (!) to Europe. Therefore, delivery times can take up to 13 weeks (my own experience), what is ridiculous. Every letter mail the other way around reached me within 7 days.
I also experienced many times delivery of letter mail within Canada to take up to 2 weeks, in rare cases almost 3 weeks.
Letter mail to destinations in United States can take up to 3 weeks as well.
This makes Canada Post the slowest, and worst mail service I ever experienced since the 1990 years.
Canada Post stated delivery time is
delivery
I buy a lot online. During last couple of months NONE of my packages were delivered to my building. I just got delivery attempt failure notifications, although I was at home at the moment of delivery and checked tracking info about delivery. Nobody even tried to call me as it was before. It takes me valuable time to go to the post office and stand in long line to get my parcel 1 day later.
2 times I have seen that mail delivery guy and asked him why he didn't deliver my parcels. He answered "You never are at home". It is NOT TRUE. The service quality became MUCH WORSE during last couple of months. I want to get my packages delivered on time and directly to my apartment building. I pay for this service and don't get it.
This INFURIATES me also!

forwarding mail unauthorized
Ticket # [protected]
November 15, I became apprised of a mail forward put into place by my 16 year old daughter that happened in August. She was trying to intercept mail from her high school. All school documents have been diverted to date, and my bills, visa and bank information have been forwarded.
I received a call back from Security stating that they would immediately stop the mail forwarding service as it was entered into with a minor. My daughter forwarded the mail to my ex husbands girlfriends house. Many of my bills, visa, and bank information had gone to this address, and I have only received 1 piece of mail from that address, which was a telus bill. That had a yellow sticker stating that mail had been forwarded. I am the guardian, per court order, and have authorized no such forwarding.
Mail is still being diverted to that address and sensitive and vulnerable information is being taken. My visa, bank statements, and vital legal and school information is not coming to me.
Canada Post will not return my calls, and has still not stopped this service ON MY MANY MANY MANY requests! I want to receive my mail and not have my privacy breached and given to anyone who requests it, especially a minor. Canada post was remiss in their protocol and have entered into a contract to steal and divert information, highly secure information. Just because this is a family member does not give Canada Post authorization to forward any such mail.
shipping
Sent a package from Guelph downtown postal office to ChitChats express in Mississauga as I didn't have time to travel to drop it off in the next week or so. Sent October 30th, just did a standard tracked shipment. The office worker asked me what the value was thinking there was some what of an insurance added.
Well, a day went by, checked online tracking and it said it was delivered on the 31st to Brampton, so I called ChitChats to confirm delivery, and they said they didnt receive anything. So called Canada post to confirm, and they said it was delivered according to online. I called to create a case and said resolution date would be the 29th of November before any information is told to me...Great...
Just got an answer back on the 24th saying they confirmed the recipient didn't receive it and it is lost. If I had insurance they can pay me back the cost of the item if not I am SOL...Well I guess I am SOL since apparently I declined the insurance.
What the hell kind of business is allowed to receive money and an item of someones and can lose it without any responsibility? What the ? I am at a loss of words to describe the amount of anger and disappointment I have towards Canada Post, Our national postal service. Lost all hope on shipping with Canada Post and will no longer use them, very sad to me I have to say that.
didn't receive packages
Hi.
Tracking information states I was to receive 2 small packages on Nov 21. I didn't get them.
Tracking #[protected] for Clearly contacts and Tracking #DHL-GLOBAL-MAILGM295323567000383000 for Tophatter earnings.
Were they delivered to the wrong house?
Did they fall behind the seat and are still in the delivery truck?
Were they taken?
Some other reason?
I don't know. What I do know is that I order a lot on line and this is the first problem I've had. I also know that there has been different delivery persons delivering packages at all times of the day including weekends in the past 2 weeks in addition to my regular delivery man who is fantastic.
This is worrisome and annoying. I'm also waiting for 5 more deliveries within the next week or so which I am now worried about.
my packages
I received a clothing in a big envelope yesterday that was squeezed by the Canada Post official in my tiny community mail box, the squeezing has damaged the stones and the designed on my clothing. This is the second time in 6 months that Canada Post staff has destroyed my stuff. The last time my stuff was delivered it was wet, my packages must has been left outside before delivery and the white material was badly damaged by the wet box and turned to brown.
unethical behaviour
I had left a note for the mail person asking her not to keep putting the same mail in my box day in and day out When she read the note she called me and I quote( A f[censor]g IDIOT and What a IDIOT) this is very unprofessional and uncalled for. I would hope this is not a standard for Canada post to conduct business ' I am very discussed with her behavior as my entire building heard her comments. Tried to attach a note but site wont let me.
no attempt at parcel delivery (edmonton, ab)
Three separate parcels have been sent to me by Amazon through Canada Post over Nov. 2017. The latest was supposed to be delivered Nov. 22, 2017 (according to the delivery notice).
All 3 times no attempt was made to deliver for this month.
I work at home and always make sure that I am at home when a delivery is expected. So there is no excuse for the postie to just fill out a Notice and place it in my mailbox.
I am Disabled. So having to go to the local postal outlet for parcels can be a chore.
I pay for Amazon Prime Delivery and this never happens when they use a courier service. I've suggested to Amazon that they ought to re-think their relationship with Canada Post.
I don't know if it's laziness on the part of the postie but it seems suspicious to me that consistent parcel delivery depends on who has been assigned to my route.
This INFURIATES me also!

unethical behaviour/ unprofessional behaviour
On November 23, 2017 at roughly 11:30-11:45am; I was in my apartment at 286 Albert Street in Belleville Ontario, when I could hear the mail lady in the lobby using unprofessional language. She was using works like "i[censor]" and "[censor]ing i[censor]." I believe this was a retaliation to a letter left for her by another tenant, which was left on a post it note. From my observation earlier in the day the note was written to ask not to continue placing mail back into the mailbox that was pinned to the board above the mailboxes. This kind of lack of professionalism doesn't look good on Canada Post, maybe you should rethink your hiring practices. I am personal disgusted with the language used by the employee, and wouldn't accept it from anyone in a professional setting. If given the option I would have my mail delivered by an alternative company.
package returned back to the seller immediately without notice
I had a package with the tracking no. [protected] from Ontario supposed to deliver to my home (Vancouver) on 20th November 2017 . I was staying home and waiting for my parcel for a whole day, after checking Canada post online tracking service then I found the postman left the delivery note in the mailbox silently. Why the postman didn't knock the door even press the door chime? On 21st November, 2017, I went to the Post office branch near my home. A girl from the branch told me that, she couldn't find my package under the delivery note no. [protected]. When I went to the Post office again on 22nd November, 2017 to check it again. the staff told me, my package has been returned back to the sender in Ontario. I was calling the Canada Post Customer Service hotline, but a lady ( customer service) couldn't answer me, how come returned my package to the sender without any notice? Honestly, I feel very upset that because the post office (Richmond branch) would handle my package like that? I wish you may give me an answer cause it's absolutely ridiculous.
Thank you for your kind attention and look forward to hearing from you soon.
postal outlet lack of training
I understand that the workers at my local postal outlet are just drug store cashiers but they should be trained if they are going to work at the postal section. I shipped 2 small thin bubble mailers today - 1 to the US and the other went surface to the UK and it cost me just shy of $16. They were sent as parcels and I was told that if they weren't paper, they had to go as a package - new rules. Wow. In hindsight, I should have kept my envelopes and cancelled the orders. There's no way I can do business if I'm going in the hole because of exorbitant shipping. It's nice to have a postal outlet locally, but not if the employees don't know the difference between a tiny bubble mailer and a parcel.
regular parcel with insurance
Date package was mailed : 2017/11/04
Package was returned to me, sender : 2017/11/15
Cost to mail : $18.01
Cost to receive package back: $15.79
Tracking number for package: [protected]
The package was sent to my daughter in Montreal. The post office said she did not live there at the address. I have had trouble shipping packages to Montreal before, packages arriving at incorrect address more than once. This is the first time I had to pay $33.80 to mail a package/gift to my daughter and PAY to have the package returned to me. This is ridiculous! This is unsatisfactory mail service.
Request: Refund
It is hard to believe that I had to pay to get my package back. $33.80 for a return trip by mail to Montreal and back! Terrible. Expensive. I will seek an alternative effective way.
late package shipping
My package i sent got delayed for no reason and it really irritates me because i paid for the 4 day shipping to the U.S., it was sent off November 1st and it only got there yesterday, it was a birthday gift and now it's late i paid $30 to ship
Tracking number: CX602092709CA
Receipt : R:424251.103380;
I'm filing this complaint because it's passed the 4 day guaranteed shipping.
