priority mail
I had a parcel sent from the Clarenville post office in Newfoundland. The office worker abbreviated Clarenville as C'ville and didn't write which province the parcel was being sent from. Priority mail is time senaitive and I would like the envelope to be filled out in full and at a professional level. Abbreviating and omitting critical info could affect delivery time. I realize it has a tracking number and is ditgitaly sorted and tracked but being lazy on the office workers end is not acceptable. When you pay $20+ dollars to send something, you expect effort and care to be put into it.
canada post failure to deliver notice
I ordered a package from the states and have been waiting a month for it. I went down to the post office to see if they could find where my package was because my tracking number just said "holding. Canada". When i get there there they tell me that my package had been waiting weeks and they sent it back to the sender because i didn't pick it up in time.
Despite them saying they had sent me three notices after trying to deliver it on three separate occasions. I had no notices on my door, no Canada Post vehicle or worker came to my door to attempt to drop off my package.( I work from home at my computer right beside my font door)
So being lied to by the worker covering for the driver who clearly couldn't be bothered to do his job, i called the Canada Post line to see if i could get my package rerouted before it went back over the boarder. She told me it was against policy to do that and once it was back into the stream i couldn't get it back or found.
So there's my story of how i lost my shipping cost money and how i will never ship through Canada Post again.
failure to scan tracking number and to deliver package after it cleared customs
On October 11/17 I ordered a Zike Saber Elliptical Bicycle product from Ebay which was to be shipped through their Global Shipping service from the US. It was promptly delivered to Canada Customs and cleared customs on October 16th. From that point it was not scanned again and there have been no updates since then. Despite the fact that a representative from Canada Post on November 6/17 indicated there was obviously a problem in the delivery she said only the seller can lodge a search for a missing package. ( Apparently when Canada Post discovers a problem they don't feel it's necessary to do anything about it even when they acknowledge it). The seller did report the problem at my request and Ebay was more than fair in writing this off and will refund my shipping and purchase costs (just less than $1000). To my knowledge Canada Post has done little or nothing to locate the item (certainly they have not advised me) and have not been seemingly accountable.
I would rather have my item than a refund.
The tracking number is [protected]. Thank you for any help you can provide as we should expect better from our main mail delivery service.
Thank you, Barry Chandler [protected])
losing or delivering my package to someone else
I was supposed to receive a package, said it was delivered October 30th. I've got nothing. It was either lost or they delivered it to the wrong mailbox and someone else got it. Beyond furious right now as it's something that cannot be replaced. Will not be mailing anything through Canada Post again. I am so upset because I won't ever get it now. Thanks.
Something sort of similar just happened to me. $200 in flavor concentrates, some of which are sensitive to temperature. I've ordered these month after month and when they're inside the community postbox, you can smell them from 10 feet away.
I received delivery notice, usually get a key to the large package boxes, nothing this time. Lodged a complaint, was told to call back after 8PM EST because "it could still get delivered". Like guys, I can smell that they're in there. Doesn't matter - it's "policy" (aka I'm lazy and don't want to deal with your problem petty human).
Driver either didn't leave a key or left it in the wrong mailbox. Either way since it's Friday night now nothing will be done until Monday. I talked to a Lisa and a Pierre, both supervisors. Both did nothing but email and leave a voicemail with the depot responsible for our postal code. Like why aren't you lighting a fire under that depot's [censor]? If they didn't respond to your first email, you think a VM is going to do any good? And how [censor] hard is it to come by and drop a key in my mailbox? And of course, while their customer service department is open till 11, anyone that could potentially do anything about your issue checks out at 6. Supervisors just are like nope, you're waiting till Monday now. Also, if an individual can be fined for withholding mail, why can't these guys be fined for the same? My mail is RIGHT there, I just don't have those keys (2A, 3B etc.) to access it!
Those [censor] are heartless and care about nothing except collecting their cheques which our tax dollars pay for and are protected by their stupid [censor] union. Then they whine and strike asking for more money! Why the hell should we pay people for [censor] up at their job? If I screwed up at this kind of level, I would have been fired. Unbelievable.
They like to make you feel like they're giving you 110% but they just send an email like "customer needs key, plz drop one off..if you have time". Like the driver is going to go out of his or her way to do that. They do the bare minimum possible and that's it. This needs to stop. If I had other choices (I've had bad luck with others like FedEx, UPS, DHL and Purolator.) that were actually good, I'd never use CP ever again.
residential mail delivery
After 22 years at the current address (116 Carney Avenue Moncton NB E1C 8W7) my letter carrier has stop delivering mail at my home.
The mail carrier requested a separate mail box at the side entrance to my house which I did 2 weeks after his request.
Now the supervisor Serge Bernard has unlawfully withheld and detained my mail.
I am being bullied even though I complied with the original request of the letter carrier.
As a Canadian citizen I am entitle to mail delivery.
It is a federal offense.
non delivery of international regd post letters mailed on 19 june 2017
I posted two registered letters to India on 19 Jun 2017, both addressed to banks. Neither of the two were delivered or returned back to me. Visit to post office with tracking number/receipts and email complaints did not help. Except for polite thank yous.
Now I am getting emails (from Adele M Chartrand, customer service) asking me to confirm that letters have been delivered. It also says if no reply is received, case will be closed!
but my replies to such emails can reach no where as there is no email address provided in Canada post emails.
Not sure how Canada post sends email and expect reply without providing its own email id or even postal address.
My customer# [protected] and service ticket numbers are: 144135503CA and 122988954CA. Can any one help please!
canada postal service
Many many complaints. Including horrible shipping times... 3-5 business days to deliver something 40kms away? Any other country they would be out of business with that amount of time!
Various lost mail being received with no explanation. Currently waiting 15 business days for my bank card. Is there a way we can get rid of them and make FedEx or DHL our standard mail service?
parcel from saudi arabia not delivered with no explanation
I live in Mississauga and I am expecting one parcel from Saudi Arabia which was sent from its origin on 11th October. The tracking number is EE040851814SA.
As per Canada Post website, the parcel arrived in Toronto on 18th October and released from Canada Customs to Canada Post on 22nd October and expected delivery is shown to be 24th October. But it has not been delivered to my address for the past 3 days beyond the expected date. I have made several calls on their customer service number but they have been unable to help and do not have any information other than what can be seen on tracking details on their website.
Today, I spoke to the customer service agent and I was shocked to hear that it is being returned to the country of origin. I asked the reason but she clearly said that she doesn't know about it and no one from Canada Post can tell me over here. They will place a sticker on the parcel with the reason for returning back to the country of origin and only once it reaches back to the sender, he would know for not reaching the destination and only then I can learn from him about it.
It does not make sense that if there is any reason for not delivering the parcel to me in Mississauga and returning back to Saudi Arabia, why can't Canada Post inform me nor do their Customer service representatives try to find out. What is the use Canada Post customer service representatives if they can only see and read tracking details which I can also see on their website and don't take any initiatives if there is anything wrong?
I also offered to collect it myself personally from their warehouse or office but they have refused to allow me to do that.
Please help to resolve the matter.
Depends on the contents, I guess?
The contents are medicines for diabetes and also cleared by CBSA customs in Canada as per the tracking details.
broken mailbox
Our mail box was broken into two weeks ago. A neighbor of ours called it in as soon as he found it. He was told someone would be out it fix it right away. I assumed I shouldn't have to call since he did already. My mistake I suppose. That was on a Friday. The following Tuesday another neighbor was talking to the mail lady and she said that each person who was affected should call in. Fine. I got my husband to call on Wednesday to report it, and the guy he talked to said that if someone already called, a ticket should already be issued. My husband took him at his word and didn't actually get him to check. That's probably also my fault for not pressing the issue. Still not fixed the following Friday. Husband calls again and no ticket had been issued to have it fixed. That person says they'll have someone out ASAP. The mail box was finally fixed yesterday, but no one called to tell us that it was and how to get a new key. I got my husband to call at around 520 and the person says your mail and key should be at the depot. So my husband drives out there and they had already closed... at 2pm. Thanks Canada post for the run around! Not happy 😡
marth - front desk women
HORRIBLE experience with this retail location. Women was named Martha out of the 2106 33 ave sw Calgary location. (Marda loop)
I've never experienced a more horrible women in my life. She rudely told me I should of taken off a return sticker on one of my boxes.
I explained to her that I would have no idea and she can just cross if off instead. She said "that's something you can also do at home".
Really?! Like taking a marker and crossing off numbers is such a hard ship for you Martha...
I told her I don't like being talked down too. She said education is part of her job, in a smart [censored] way.
I hope you really get rid of this women. I'm sure she is bad for business.
I then tried to calm down and ask her if she was having a bad day. She said "not until you showed up"..
Martha you're a delight..:
She is probably use to using attitude and her salty remarks on more than just me. I won't stand to be spoken to like that.
*side note* I work as a sale manager therefore I understand customer service and this location does not have any.

residential mail delivery
Hi there,
I live on the 8000 block of 14th Ave in Burnaby, BC with the postal code of V3N 1B6.
Over the last few months, I have been receiving other people’s mail at my house and a lot of my mail have been lost. In the last week alone, I received a package delivery slip for someone on a different avenue (13th). And my 12th Avenue neighbour was kind enough to drop off my mail that was delivered by mistake to him.
Currently, I’m waiting for another mail that was sent to me on October 11th, and I still don’t have it. I fear it is probably delivered to another house. These are all local mail, so typical delivery should be no more than 5 business days.
Can you please review and hopefully I can start getting my own regular residential mails. You can reach me at [protected]@YAHOO.COM
delivery
So I pay for the express mail stuff and they say I would get my package today so I stayed home waiting to sign for it. They then set my Parcel as stalled by me. But I didn't stall it. My boyfriend called them and apparently construction .5 km away from my house prevented thier deleivery ... unfortunately for then there is two well marked entrances to my street as well as three different routes marked detours to get around what is less than 50 feet worth of road construction. You guys are a joke and I hope the Canadian government stops supplementing such useless workers
How dare you say it's not deleivered because of me, then on the phone blame it on construction and then refuse to allow me to pick it up because it's never been deleivered I hate you guys . Just sayin
no effort with parcel delivery
It appears the complaint I have is one that many others have had, and are still having. This tells me that nothing is being done about the problem... Hopefully, something will change soon as more people are coming forward with their complaints. I have several parcels coming my way, and the first of them was supposed to arrive last week. I had a couple of people at home, ready to accept my parcels the entire week, but no one had knocked, or used the doorbell. Instead, I came home to find that a delivery notice was left in my mail box. If this keeps up, I will have to continue to drive to the post office 7-10 times to pick up the rest of my packages, which is quite a nuisance...especially when I PAID extra for quick delivery. I'm already in a rush to receive my items, and I do not have the time to waste driving to the post office several days a week, which is why I opted for the expedited deliveries. If this continues, in the future, I will stop using Canada Post, and opt to pay a little extra with other courier companies, such as Purolator, etc. Please resolve this issue with your staff! Thank you.
I was expecting my delivery today, and I work at home, so I am always home during the day. I watched as the truck pulled up, and I started to walk down the stairs. There was no knock or doorbell ring. I stepped out the side door and managed to surprise the driver as he sitting in the truck was writing up the door tag, he had already tagged the parcel which was still sitting in the back of the truck. This driver did not take the time to come to the door, he was simply going to put the door tag on the doorknob and I would have to wait 24 hours and drive out the the local pickup station.
This is the first time I actually caught the driver, but I have had many deliveries in the past year where I was home, never had a knock or doorbell at the door only to find the door tag at the front door telling me I missed the delivery.
Not sure if this is normal practice but when I saw the driver, he was a younger kid who didn't seem to care. Years ago I never had to worry about missed deliveries as the driver were more diligent.
My theory about some of these guys, is the lazy drivers already written up bunch of doortags and tagged the parcels prior to going on their rounds in preparation to get their breaks early.
product not delivered
Hey Canada post,
Your services are very ridiculous and I am really very upset and angry about the thing that just happened to me. I had mailed out a parcel as I was moving to another province. Due to not providing the Unit number, the parcel got returned to the old address which is perfectly right and I understand that.
But the problem is that it did not return to my 'sender's adress'. On complaining that I did not recieve the parcel yet on my old address, they did not respond properly and said that it is nothing that they can do. I called them 10 days after the parcel had to reach the location, but they did not care to respond properly. On calling again they said that they will have their experts team call me within 5-7 business days. I did yet not recieve a call and it was 9 more days. I called them back again. They said they are going to have the investigation team call me within 24 hours. On calling them, I got to know that they had lost my parcel and already had closed my case without my concern and knowledge. The CSR told me that I did not have any insurance on the parcel and he cant do anything further... how rude.. how can you even do this?
When I went to the warehouse, the security was very helpful and he help me track the parcel and imagine what.. he could track the parcel.. customer service couldnt and he could.. he said that the parcel left for Scarborough 3 days ago. Why would the parcel go tp Scarborough out of nowhere?
Is this the way you treat your customers? Filthy..
package not attempted delivered and left at canada post location
Hi Canada Post,
I'm writing to advise about shipment with tracking # [protected]. I have been waiting all week for my delivery of medication and someone has been at the delivery address waiting for the package. Let me advise you that no one from Canada Post even attempted to deliver the package nor ring the bell, and when I checked the tracking again; the package is now sitting at a Canada Post location. In fact, we opened the door several times to see if anything was left at the door. Why did I pay for shipping fees, only to have to drive to pick up my package. There was no notification left by the delivery representative, even though the tracking states so. On whose door was the tracking left?
In fact, the instructions were to leave by door under the tree. This is extremely inconvenient and I have gone few days without my meds, waiting for the package.
Thanks,
U.Das

I'm complaining about the employees at this location where I picked up my parcel. I just complained that their parking spot is not clear and should have better clarity and they got upset and told me to move my car immediately as it was in the wrong spot. I told them that I just want to pick up husband's package (tracking number EK [protected] ES) and it will take only a couple of minutes (6pm). The lady was raising her voice and getting angry at me and they I just signed and picked up my package. Her husband ran out after to me to yell at me and tell me that the parking is clear and that I will get a ticket and I told him that the parking is not clear. He then starting yelling at me and swearing saying, "Get the hell out of here and you f[censor] b[censor]." I told him that he has anger issues, that he is ignorant, and that I will report him, while I quickly went into my car. Not sure of his violent rage. I no longer want any packages sent to this location as I fear for my safety and do not want subject myself to this belligerence and attack. I'm sure this is not the standard of behaviour that you are looking for and never have been treated in this manner. My name is [removed] and my home address is [removed]. You can reach me at [protected]@outlook.com. Please confirm that packages will not longer be sent to this address as I do not want to be harassed again in this manner.
mail delivery
My mailman (or woman) doesn't knock on my door (ring my doorbell) when he (she) has a parcel for me. He (she) just puts the notice in with the rest of the mail without even bothering to see if anyone is home. This has happened on many occasions 2 of which were this past week. Does he or she think they can save time and finish their route sooner and be home while still getting paid? I would appreciate it if something can be done about this issue. Thank You
parcel from germany
This morning, October 5, we didn't have any delivery from Canada Post,
Nobody came or knocked,
All family and dogs were at home,
But online tracking shows that we have Notice Left at 9:06
Of course we don't know Number of this Notice because
No papers or notices in our mailbox or around house
We still don't have very important package from Germany
We are very disappointed Canada Post delivery service.
mail carrier's disposition
We have had some issues with the disposition of the mail carrier assigned to our route. She is rude and belligerent. She has tended to become upset because a catalogue needed to be delivered to us as she states "it makes her load too heavy" and she gets upset when there is mail to be sent out stating again it makes her bag too heavy...even with only letters. We are located in a medical clinic and have had patients notice this attitude. For the first 2 months of her taking over this route, she continuously walked into the office and would place the mail on the bench beside the entrance therefore allowing patients to see other patients private information. After several times of letting her know that all mail must be left on the desk or the computer if we are not around and busy in the back, she finally complied.
Our address is 4140 Dewdney Avenue...I am unsure of the carriers name as she has never offered it.
I would love if she would get some interpersonal and professional relations training. I have never seen a carrier be so literally unhappy with her position and essentially show it to all before
