Dec 4th, 2011 - placed my order for my wife's christmas gift (Was told I should receive the package within 2-5 business days)
Dec 13th - no package and no sign that the package will be coming soon, so I first call the company and get the busy tone the first 5 calls and finally on the 6th get the answer machine only to find out their voicebox was full. So, I resort to emailing the company about my situation and gave them all my contact info, and I got an automatic response back saying one of their workers will email me back with details within 1-3 days
Dec 15th - no package, no phone call, no email... I try calling the company again. Get busy tone for the first 20 calls and then to my surprise a human being picks up the phone. She asks for my name and order number and tells me she recognizes my name and just made a fedex label for me and that I will be getting a tracking number in an email immediately. And sure diddly doo I got an email when I got off the phone with a fedex tracking number and on top of that she upgraded me to priority overnight shipping. Too good to be true? Yep
Dec 18th - no package. Call up fedex to see where the package is and they tell me best canvas made a label but never gave fedex the package! I try calling best canvas multiple multiple times but never get anything more than a busy tone.
Dec 20th - no package. Call at least 30 times getting a busy tone and finally get an answer by an annoyed worker. Gave her my name and order # and got put on hold for 9 minutes! She comes back to tell me my order got lost somewhere in the mix and her boss will immediately print and send my order as soon as he gets off his break and I will have my package before christmas. Soon after, I got an email with a new fedex number and another overnight priority shipping upgrade. Also, I finally received a response to my email sent on the 13th restating that I have a new fedex number.
Dec 23rd - no package. Call up fedex and I hear the same story as before: best canvas made a label but never gave fedex the package to ship.
Dec 25th - no package. I am not surprised and expected nothing more out of this company. I give up hope on ever seeing my wife's christmas gift in 2011.
Dec 26th - no package. I don't care for dealing with best canvas any longer. I call them up and shockingly get an answer on the first ring. Gave the lady my info and she says my order somehow got lost, but could get it to me by the 30th. I told her that I no longer believe what the company tells me and I want a full refund. She says that is okay and that I will be getting my refund in 1-5 days.
Dec 27th - the one darn thing this company actually followed through on. I got my money back. Oh happy days!

I do not recommend anyone buying from them
I am so irritated by this place. I placed my order before Thanksgiving to make sure I would get my canvas on time, they emailed me saying that the size I ordered was "back ordered" and would take longer to receive then expected. Weeks go by and I hear nothing from them, I tried emailing and calling numerous times to find out where my order was and no one answered or got back to any of my emails. I finally received my cheap looking canvas 1 week before Christmas rolled up in a box (which was not what I expected at all) and not only was the size WAY off, it was damaged. Part of the picture was rubbed off smack dead in the center of the photo and there are spots all over the top of the photo. I tried emailing the company once again and heard nothing back, the photo was so bad that I had to pay another company to expedite a new canvas for me so that I would have it in time for my dad's Christmas gift. I still have the canvas sitting here and still after the 3rd email now, have not heard back from anyone. I will be filing a dispute with my bank tonight after reading all of these reviews. This place is a rip-off, I do not recommend ANYONE buying from them.

Damn, I wish I had seen these reviews before ordering. Same process for me: Order, do not receive package, get busy signals when calling, receive bogus tracking numbers, and a month later still no package.
I am going to do what I can to get my money refunded, but it doesn't sound like that is going to be easy. Please stay away and don't make the same mistake I made just to save a few bucks!

We also ordered two prints for Christmas. Never received our product. We did get a confirmation email but never an email saying it shipped. Sent out two emails never received a reply. Every time you call their customer support number you get a busy signal no matter the day or time. This company is a complete scam avoid at all costs.
The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with! After they sent me my original order of a black and white image, which somehow ended up in a brown tone, I had to have a reprint done, but once again the reprint was done wrong. Finally it was black and white like the original image was, but it then did not stretch to cover the stretcher bars that were provided for me. Once again, I called and spoke to someone about the issue that I was having and she told me that I could return the print and emailed me a shipping label. After shipping it back to them, I did not get a refund. After three weeks of patiently waiting, I called them to see what was going on with the refund and the man that I spoke with was not only completely unprofessional, but he told me there was nothing that he could do for me over and over. He claimed that they did not have the canvas that I sent back to them, that they never received it, and that they did not have a record of them sending me an email with a shipping label. I spent over ten minutes with him on the phone asking him why I had to pay for a mistake that I had not made and all he responded with was "I'm sorry ma'am, there is nothing that I can do." He basically tried to blame me and act like I was making all of this up and did absolutely nothing. There was no customer service, no compassion, nothing. Do not trust these people with your money! They will rip you off and leave you empty handed. I am now out $63 and do not even have a product anymore to show for it.

Avoid this company! They soaked me for over 500 dollars. I never received anything from them. It has been over a month since I ordered. They charged my credit card. The company does not answer their phone and I have emailed them 30 times and I have received no replies. These people are crooks and need to be prosecuted and thrown in to prison. Will be contacting my credit card company tomorrow and hopefully they can recover my funds.

I ordered my canvas on 12/9/2011. It was delivered on 12/19/2011 in a box with a very cheap, not yet assembled frame. Are you kidding me? Your website specifically reads, "ready to hang". I am very disappointed in this transaction and my bank will only process the charge back if the merchant acknowledges the returned item which I doubt they will do. This website needs to be shut down asap! Do not order from them unless you want to be disappointed!

This company changed their name from "bestcanvas" to this, "discountcanvas" I'm guessing because the bestcanvas name got called out for being a SCAM. Obviously, this was done to fool people into thinking that this company doesn't have a history of bad reviews. It's kind of silly, what are they going to do when the bad reviews start piling up for their new name? Change it again?
Anyway, I placed an order a month ago and immediately received an order invoice confirmation stating that my order would be shipped within 5-7 business days, and a shipping confirmation email would be sent. Well, it's a month later and I never received my shipping email, no tracking, and no product either. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift and even if it is shipped tomorrow it likely won't get here by Christmas. I called their customer service number and as it is a Sunday I got no answer. Emailed as well and am awaiting a response, if I ever get one at all. (Based on the horrible reviews I probably won't).
I can't comment on the quality of the product because I never received it.
My concern right now is how I'm going to dispute the charges with my bank. I used a debt card to pay for this transaction and it that's equivalent to using a checkbook.

Ordered from Bestcanvas.ca over three weeks ago. The site says dispatch within 48 hours. I began to get concerned a week later when I had not received anything. I emailed them and got an automatic email stating they would get back to me within 2 days, they did not get back to me. I have now called and emailed countless times with no answer to my calls (the mailbox is full) and no replies to my emails. At this time I wish I had checked out this company before ordering. The only thing that makes me feel better is that i only ordered one canvas and was going to order 5. Best left alone for sure. The price is good but they are cowboys for sure. Now off to call my credit card company...

misleading; poor quality
1. The website does not make it clear that the canvasses are unframed. The site states "
Solid Canvas Frame
Canvas prints can get wrapped over 0.75 inch or 1.5 inch thick, solid frames. All frames are of high quality and manufactured in-house."
2. The canvasses came rolled up but NOT in a protective tube. The canvasses were flattened and creased within the box. How much could a cardboard tube cost?
3. The website images give the impression that the printed image wraps around to the side of the frame. It's not true. All I got was a series of straight lines albeit in the same colour as the image on the front of the canvass.
4. The frames are trash. Simply stapling two pieces of wood together does not work. One piece of wood would have made more sense but if they had to use two why not dab a bit of wood glue between them?

please don't make the same mistake I did
I was aware I would need to stretch the canvas. No problem, I went to art school and have done this many times. The 24" x36" print came and was not very good. I sent a very large file, but much of the detail was lost and the colors a bit muddy. I paid extra for the 1.5 stretcher bars, but instead was sent eight 3/4 bars. No one answers on the customer service phone number. I wish I had read more reviews before placing this order. Because it's for a client, I will now have to eat it and order a print from elsewhere. I sent in a black and white photo and ordered it to be on a canvas with a 1.5" frame. The site led me to believe that the canvas would be sent to me on a frame (many other services do this).
Instead I received a green and white photo (a portion of it was black and white, but mostly green and white). The canvas wasn't packaged well so it had damage done to it. The canvas wasn't set on the frame. Instead I just had frame "parts" that I needed to assemble. I ordered the 1.5" frame, but instead just got two 0.75" frames that I was supposed to stack together when I assembled the frame.
Tried to call into the customer service center and got a busy signal. E-mailed them, and received a response two days later. I sent the frame back, but didn't get a refund for two weeks. Finally I called my credit card company and had them reverse the charge.
I ordered took forever to ship. Shipped me the incorrect product (sent someone else wedding photos). I have reached out for three weeks with no response. I deserve a refund and they are a shady poorly run business.
Terrible company- they took off all bad reviews form fb site- 100's of complaints from people like me who were charged weeks ago and have no merchandise. Pls write BBB this company is a complete ripoff.
I ordered a fleece blanket with our dog on the front and I use my order number that was given to me. When I go to track my order it says no order found. What the hell. I ordered this for my elderly mom. I have emailed them with the email provided, no answers anywhere!

Instead of receiving your canvas on professionally stretched frame, you're sent 4 cheap pieces of wood you put together yourself; their website doesn't tell you that you build it yourself, of course.
My photo on the canvas was off center and not large enough to cover the entire front surface of the canvas such that the "edge" of the canvas was visible on the front. Very horrible looking, too horrible to do anything but toss in the garbage.
I phoned them and left a voicemail message to complain about the above; no call back received. Ironic considering on their main page they promise a "money back guarantee."
I also emailed them with my complaints, included photos I took of my pathetic looking canvas and I received no response whatsoever.
Here in Canada, they have a Canadian website, with a Canadian domain. So you're left to believe they're a Canadian company. High shipping charges reflect items being shipped from FL. You don't realize item ships from FL until you receive your order confirmation email.

I ordered 3 canvases for $208. After 4 weeks, I hadn't received it. Since that time I have called them, over 15 times. The answered twice giving me excuses and even tracking numbers for the shipment, that hadn't even been processed. When I went to track the shipments with the tracking number I was given, the site said it was only initiated (that was March 13th) and never shows that it was actually shipped. I have cancelled my order online and there is no response. My credit card company (who I called to reverse the charges) actually said that the merchant told them it had been shippped! I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM this company. I can't believe that they are in business, it is a big scam. The two times I actually talked to someone, she told me she was the shipping department AND the customer service department. No wonder no one answers the phone. Don't even go there!

STAY FAR AWAY from this online merchant! The .ca website domain is a SCAM; they are SO not a Canadian company, in fact, they're located in Miami. The canvas I received was wayyyyyyyyyy too small for the cheap, 'put-together-yourself' stretcher frame (flimsy, piece of garbage, impossible to achieve a tight stretch/fit when you DIY). Nowhere on their website does it explain that YOU will be the one to stretch the canvas and staple it onto the cheap wood frame that you put together yourself. Tried to contact them, given that they adverstise a "100% Moneyback Guarantee" on their website; what a joke; no response to emails, tried calling to no avail. TOTAL AND COMPLETE SCAM of a COMPANY.

Why, oh why didn't I google reviews for this site before I spent $78 to get a canvas made?! Someday I will learn. Yes, count me in with the other ripped off, angry people who were scammed by a pretty website! I ordered mine a month ago, still haven't seen it. Phone rings and rings, no pick up. One email answered a couple of weeks ago apologizing for an equipment breakdown. I filed a claim with PayPal today. Hopefully they can do something to restore my trust in humanity! I ordered a canvas last month and it was supposed to be horizontal, but it turned out to be vertical (and the image is completely off center). And the thing cost $74! Well, so I thought...they actually charged my credit card $2 more, which sure, is only two dollars, but my invoice said $74.00 even. Also, it shows up on my bank statement as some German company, which at first alarmed me thinking someone had stolen my credit card. It turns out this German company sells canvas prints too, so they must be connected somehow. I am appalled by the service and the FALSELY ADVERTISED "100% money back guarantee." Sure, maybe they'll refund you if you can a hold of them. They don't respond to emails and their phone number is a fake (it either rings and rings or you just get a busy signal). Absolutely ridiculous, this company should be shut down.

This is a poorly run operation. I'm not even sure you could call it a business. I ordered a Sepia colored canvas 20x20. Sepia is a brownish antique look, WELL when it arrived it was green and white and gray. So I immediatly notified them and told them I wanted to return it for a refund. George wrote and said they were sorry for the defect could they redo it for me, sure I said. Well thats the last I've heard from them. The canvas is cheaply made! So needless to say after they won't return emails or nobody ever answers the phone number they provide, I went to my bank and disputed the charge. I refuse to let these rip off people take my family's hard earned money. My best advice to anyone thinking about this place is...pay the extra money for a quality print, and STAY AWAY FROM BESTCANVAS!

I used this website after using another vendor. I was sooo disappointed with the quality of the product. The "canvas" turned out to be vinyl and not actually a very durable surface. The color is muted and not vibrant at all. I could not be more disappointed in the overall product. It did come in a timely manner which is different from the other reviews. I would not buy from them again. I would go back to my other vendor "Printitoncanvas.com" instead. They are first class.
Another unhappy customer. They lie about shipping - they send out shipping confirmations when they have not even produced the item yet. They blame it on being busy, but that is just a deceptive practice. When you ask them about it a week later, when the item does not update on the shoppers site (it shows that the info was transmitted, but never actually shipped) they then promise to ship a couple of days later after they produce it. They won't refund shipping or expedite shipping - liars and terrible customer service. Buyers beware,
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE ! I had accidentally ordered from this site on a recommendation for canvas pop.com. When I realized I had made a mistake and went to check reviews on best canvas I was horrified to see everyone claimed that it was cheap crap. I immediately cancelled my order ( thankfully I actually got someone on the phone ).
I was not charged ( Thank God ) and I thought that was that - a few week later my order ( which I had cancelled ) came in the mail and I could not resist opening it. Sure enough it was a rolled canvas with a do it yourself frame all which would have been fine except there was a pea size spot in the middle of the canvas where the ink had not taken properly. I tried to lick my finger and rub it a bit to see if that would help instead it just smudged more of the ink right off. Shocking ! When I called to tell the company they had sent me my cancelled order they told me I could keep it, and when I preceded to tell the lady on the phone about the blemish ( putting it nicely ) she didn't even apologize. I guess I shouldn't complain being that I have a un- hangable canvas I didn't pay for... this site should be called worst canvas !
STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE!
There are too many complaints to list, so I will bold the important ones.
-Canvas comes rolled (in rubber bands with creases throughout)
-Poor quality ink (just stretched picture for gallery wrap with ink lines clearly seen)
-Stretcher bars broke and had to be glued together because of poor quality wood (let alone that it states "ready to hang" and "gallery wrapped" on their website.
-Foreign transaction fee (even though it was shipped from Florida).
Bad product and bad customer service. I ordered stretched canvases for a Christmas present and after we got them, a drip of water got on one and completely ruined it. It didn't just smudge, it completely cleaned the photo off of the canvas in that area. I tested the other prints we had ordered (on the back of the frame) and the print rubbed off VERY easily with just a wet finger. Any type of condensation or leaking in your house could ruin these prints. I got family photos with the idea that my mom could keep them for years, but I'm afraid that they may turn out to be temporary. It seems like the company could seal them in some way or use a different printing process to provide some protection from water damage, but when I contacted them, they didn't even pretend to offer protection from water damage even though their website claims they sell "museum-quality custom canvases."
I contacted the company to see what they could do on 12/4/2011 and they finally emailed me back on 1/5/12... over a MONTH later. I know Christmas is a busy time for companies, but this is crazy! If the email had something substantial to it, like some research or an offer to fix the problem, I would have a little understanding, but it said this (verbatim): "Thank you for your purchase on our website and i apologize for the delayed response. I would like to inform you that we do not provide any type of protection on our anvas prints so any high humidity/water area will possibly ruin the prints. Thank you and again i apologize." Again, keep in mind that their website claims "Exceptional customer service."

I do not think this is a legitimate company. I placed an order with them as well. I received a print on canvas that actually looks pretty decent and it was already put together... the problem was that I have never seen that picture before and I ordered (5) prints not one. I have called, I have emailed, I have called, I have emailed and I have not received ANY response from them. I am reporting them to any business and consumer agencies I can think of.
