insurance refund
I've been trying to contact Carflexi.com for insurance refund but they are not replying any of the emails. They are not answering the phones or reacting to any communication. Note they are are active on facebook and can delete comments.
Desired outcome: To refund my as per insurance policy
Car hire
I hired a car for a price of £112.18, but €361.12 was taken from my account.
I have emailed the company, and have tried phoning them, but only get a pre recorded voice message. I would like an explanation for this unaccounted for increase.
The reference is : CF316309
And a further £108.48 (€127.52) has been taken out by Avis (as was the first withdrawal) 0n 3rd August, even though I am back in Ireland!
I have been on to my bank, but the only way to stop any more money being taken out of my account is to cancel my debit card. I am reluctant to do this because of all the aggravation this would cause me.
I took the car from the airport to my friends house, where it was garaged, then I drove back to the airport, filling it with £21.66 worth of petrol, which indicates how little driving I did.
I realise I have very little hope of recovering anything from this scam, but if it draws attention to this companies poor ethics, then at least some good may come from it.

As per the booking above, I paid the crosss border fee of around Euro of 110.00
However, while taking delivery of the car on 21st I was told by Europcar that the fee was not reflected in their system and they invoiced me again.
This is unprofessional and we book it advance to avoid the hassle.

Hello, I recently used Carflexi to book a car for a week during my trip to Georgia (the country, not the state). When I arrived on July 17, 2021 to collect my car, I was told by the agent that they had no details regarding my booking and I was not able to rent a car. I paid a down payment to Carflexi and have been trying to reach them by phone, without answer. I would like to speak with them regarding my booking, and ask them to refund my money. 1. Incomplete and misleading information about car categories,
2. Slow customer service response, and
3. Data privacy breach
In details:
1. Booked and made a down payment for a Mercedes SUV on the booking site. Few days before to go to the pick up counter, I specifically asked customer service if the car I will receive will be a Mercedes, and was told they cannot guarantee it but could also be a Range Rover or a Jeep Cherokee. Any of those would have been fine. At the counter I was proposed a Nissan. A Nissan was never mentioned neither on the site or the email.
I refused to take the Nissan because that completely changed my travel plans and immediately asked for a refund by email (as instructed by the CarWiz representative at the counter) and was denied.
2. My message was to customer service describing the case and asking for refund, received a reply 4 days later just to say they will look into the case. For this type of issues, one should be able to get a reply in a reasonable delay and possibly within the day.
3. One of the reasons mentioned by CarFlexi customer service why they refuse a refund is because apparently I had a double booking with another company. This means that my customer data was discussed/shared with another rental company showing lack of customer data privacy. This is a serious breach of data privacy.
Desired outcome: Refund of down payment, compensation for misleading car category information causing change of travel plans, and most importantly compensation for data privacy breach.

I cancelled a reservation that I had with Carflexi and it's been two months and I have not received it yet. They tell me all kinds of stories but never issue the refund. I contacted: Sergi I checked with my bank and they said that they only contact other entities when it's a case of fraud. In this case they asked me to ask you if you have the card number correct. I am going crazy like a ping-pong ball between you and my bank and no one asumes responsibility. Please, I want to escalate this case to a higher level and find out where my money is. It is not normal that a refund takes more than a month to clear. Something is wrong, it is your system or you entred the wrong credit card number. I want to solve this matter as soon as possible.

Hello, my bank is still investigating what happened with the refund. So far no answer but they still tell me that they do not have any restrictions for gettting credits or refunds. They tell me that the problem is from the bank issuing the refund. Some step was not done right. Please do not just send me a document; you have to double-check with your bank.

I don't think you have verified with your bank the completion of your transaction. You sent me a document that a transaction was made but further up there's no proof of a seriuos follow up. As a said before, I made many cancellations of my trip to Europe and I received my money bank from other vendors in three days. My bank has confirmed that there are no restrictions whatsoever for the refund not go through. The problem is with the refunder and that needs to be verified. Very dissapointed with this. I hope I get my money back. I am not going to give up.

I was led to believe that the price would include all insurance, when I got to Budget they asked for an extra 35$ a day (more then the cost of the rent) for insurance, when I told them all insurance was paid they just kept with the same.
I ended wasting half a day of my trip to get another car and paying more.

Credit vs debit card issues
Dear CarFlexi,
I would like to request a deposit back from my booking. There has been a problem with Credit vs Debit card. When I had placed an order and inserted my card details in your system, it took the card and we could finish a whole booking.
However, when I came to Alamo the car rental company, I was unable to pay the rest of the money for the booking because of the Debit cards (two) I had on me.
There was nothing written on the Voucher you sent after the deposit transaction and nothing even before that. On top of that, if your system would stop my booking and notify the ´error´ of the Debit card issue, nothing from this would happen.
I have read all the Voucher ahead and checked important details before I went to pick up the car but there is NO NOTICE about the UNAVAILABILITY TO PAY WITH DEBIT CARD.
I was renting the car with Danish credit card, on Danish soil, paying the Danish bills with the same card. I didn't have any problems with this card ever before and you made me stand there so helpless. Like I said I had two cards with me and none was ´good enough´.
The rent of the car was not for my personal use but for the company I am working for. And this definitely MESSED UP OUR PLANS SO MUCH and we are VERY DISSATISFIED with your deal.
For all the issues connected with this order / booking I would like to receive the deposit back!

However, upon arrival at the Alamo desk at the Key West Airport we were told that Alamos doesn't honor same day reservations, that the CarFlexi "Voucher" and confirmation would not be honored and that a car would not be provided.
My wife and I and two children were then obliged to find another car rental agency and were able to do so at significant expense.
